We love this hotel. Close to everything you need. Shopping and food. Train and bus stops are close. Safe walking area. Staff friendly and breakfast buffet is nice to start your day.

When I saw that they only have 3 bicycles available for use by their customers, I was concerned that my husband & I wouldn't be able to use them as needed. Luckily for us, no one else seemed to use them during the days we were there, so we had good access to them. It worked out for us, but if you are counting on using the bicycles (highly recommended in the city!), then you might want to have a backup plan for renting bicycles elsewhere. We enjoyed staying at the hotel, and the location was very good.

The spot is awesome, just a 5-minute walk (or less!) from Triangeln train station, right in the city center. Plus, the view is amazing, and breakfast is delicious with tons of options. We'd totally stay there again.

The room was ok but very warn, furniture needed to be fixed, outdated but comfortable bed. Bathroom nice but bath/shower poor, only small part of tub covered by glass. Location was great, short walk from subway, very convenient. Breakfast looked amazing but expensive.

The hotel is very close to the train station and bses, so location, location, rooms large with a view, bed comfy. Only minor minus was rooms were spartan, no coffee making facilities , fridge etc. But then we paid for the basic room

Incredibly OVERPRICED for what it is. Now mind you I stayed at the 14th floor which is epic.. but that was it. For the price of 350€ for 3 nights was ridiculous, I redeemed a free night so it wasn’t as expensive but 350€ with NO BREAKFAST and NOT EVEN A WATER BOILER / Coffee at the room is waaay overpriced. The beds are comfortable but I felt like I didn’t get a single night of good sleep - not like in other hotels. I have mixed feelings about this hotel, this used to be a Hilton hotel and one can only imagine how much better it must have been

The breeakfast is normally the hilight of my stay at Scandic hotels in Malmo but it waz slightly disappointing this trip. A poor selection of fresh fruit - no oranges!! Lose the watermelon out of season! - and the gluten free bread has gone done in quality. Its become more synthetic and less wholesome. Oh well. Also the public areas could use a good duat. Still like staying hete though for the area and the kinda 70s ambience, but a little more care would make me rate ut higher

Loved the hotel and food. The location was awesome and walkable. Loved the architecture. The best tuna tartar ever. Only downfall was the hot tub was out of service, but they did upgrade my room. Price was fair. We lived it and would stay again.

We had the breakfast option and that was wonderful, something to look forward to every morning with a warm welcome from Whan to breakfast.
The room was comfortable and quiet.
The only downside was the sauna was out of action during our stay

This is a comfortable place to stay in a mid price range. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast- which is normally a highlight- as the gluten free bread was below the usual standard. Also the hotel was looking dusty and dirty - especially viewed from the elevator. Elevators are currently being refurbished so a good time to clean all those ledges and shelves!

I stay here often for work , and normally rate it higher, but this time there wrre a few issues. The bathroom waste basket contained someone's discarded knickers - eugh right? - and id book a king size bed and got a twin. They wanted to charge me to check in a couple of hours early - fair enough as they were booked up, but when i asked to stay a couple of extra hours - and pay for this - i was refused!?
Maybe this sloppiness was due to being busy, but i think definately have to improve or I'll be staying elsewhere in the future

This is a large, business type hotel. Room was quite nice; a/c worked well enough; breakfast selection was great. We asked for our room to be cleaned on our 2nd day - a Tuesday. Scandic is another chain that has done away with automatic daily room cleaning post-Covid. Shrink-flation in action! Despite our request, the room hadn’t been cleaned when we returned at 16:00. We helped ourselves to fresh towels from a cart and had them send up toilet paper. When we complained to the front desk they claimed the room was still scheduled for cleaning - what had their staff been doing all day? This is also the company which charged us 150SEK, per their co. policy, for an early check-in at 14:30, rather than 16:00. This despite the fact that the room assigned had already been cleaned and was sitting empty. They apparently prefer to have all their new guests standing in line to check-in at 16:00 each day. Sadly, this is our second Scandic Hotel, of 3 on this trip. The first had issues too. Let’s hope the third time is the charm and we actually have a decent experience.

Check in desk was amazing, one woman in particular was always friendly and frequently greeting everyone with a “good day” or “welcome back”.

The bar and restaurant staff were not as pleasant. They had their friends showing up and they would sit and talk with them and give off a very off putting attitude.

My stay in Malmö

Hotel is a bit dated wouldn't say it was a 4 star hotel. If you don't like heights this is not the hotel for you glass elevators on outside of building with no internal stairs only fire exits. Alot of services have to be ordered like room cleaning. This is a cashless hotel which is basically a downside for foreign travellers who take cash abroad. Certainly friendly multilingual staff and very helpful

Disappointing in 2024 after a great stay in 2023

Visited this hotel last year and couldn’t fault it. But this year things had changed a little. The hotel bar was closed on Sunday. When open the bar used to have a reputation for excellent cocktail. Now the cocktail menu is limited and they didn’t even have all the ingredients for that! What they did have were on tap cocktails. Not quite the same as having a cocktail freshly made. Disappointing. The bed was hard and pillows too soft, we both had back ache by the end of our three night stay. Breakfast is excellent although this year they’d changed fresh orange juice with one on a pump from concentrate. The location of the hotel is excellent but next year we will stay elsewhere nearby.

Large hotel in a convienient location. My room was large and with great views BUT there was someone else's hair on my towels and a weird leak in the bathroom running from the bath tub to a drain under the sink???
I think the hotel is a little tired and they are doing work to upgrade the outside - but a little more attention to cleanliness and teh interior would improve my rating. Staff and breakfast and views make this still a good option when visitign Malmo

A great stay over Christmas

Stayed at the Scandic Triangeln over the Christmas period. The hotel is situated right in the centre of Malmo, only a 2 minute walk from the Triangeln rail station (with direct connection to Copenhagen Airport). The accommodation is very Scandinavian in style with large rooms with amazing views over Malmo.

The two best bits of this hotel are the breakfasts and the staff.

The breakfast is a massive buffet breakfast with a vast range of food. It puts many luxury hotels to shame.

The staff are simply amazing - couldn't do enough and always smile when they see you.

Stort och fräscht rum, väldigt hjälpsamma med tidig incheckning (tog dock 200kr trots det var många lediga rum)
Väldigt bra frukost, det fanns allt man önskade sig, dock kunde de pladdrat brickorna mer synligt .
Helt klart ett hotell att rekommendera.
Vet ej hur man ska ta sig till hotellet efter 23 då Malmö innerstad är bilfritt, önskar jag fick detta meddelande av hotellet.

Att ta ut en kostnad på 200:- vid någon timmes tidigare incheckning, när rummet ändå står klart visar på dålig service nivå.
I fortsättningen prioriterar vi inte Scandic hotels.

Fina & rena miljöer. I både rum & allmänna lokaler.
Bekväma sängar med BRA kuddar.
Fint & fräscht badrum på rummet.
Förvånansvärt tyst trots det centrala läget det enda vi egentligen hörde var ett utryckningsfordon.
Gott om eluttag.
Läget, nära restauranger & till Triangelns tågstation då vi skulle till Köpenhamn.
Slutligen prisnivån som är så mycket bättre här än att ta ett hotell i samma klass i Köpenhamn.

De två små minusen var en kvarglömd blöt handduk i badkaret.
Samt att toaletterna nere i foajén inte var så fräscha. ( jag gissar dock på att dessa städas flera ggr under dagen, men när toastolen i sig var ofräsch & papperskorgen var överfull så valde jag nästa toabås & även den var överfull )

Trots dessa 2 små minus så skulle jag definitivt välja att bo här igen & det var ändå nära till att det fick 5*
