Gorgeous, light, airy, great products in the bathroom. V central in the old town. It's a beautiful chain. Good food nearby and the breakfast buffet was generous and delicious.

This hotel is in much need of an upgrade. The chain lock on our room door was half off, the furniture is old, sink faucet was loose and moved every time we turned it on. Would have been appreciated a notice that the hotel was wrapped in scaffolding and the tiny window of our room was covered in scaffolding so we couldn’t look out. The sauna was a pleasant plus. Overall a disappointing experiece.

We only had about 24 hours in Malmo. The hotel was a relatively short walk from the Central Train Station and close to many interesting historic sights. Compared to our previous Hotel in Stockholm the room itself was HUGE. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We do not normally eat large breakfasts so we forgo the cost of the one at the hotel.

The perfect base.

First time in Malmo/Sweden and the hotel was a perfect base for my trip. Very central, a short walk from the Train station and with loads of bus options too. The hotel itself has loads of character, very friendly staff and plenty of breakfast options. During my visit the exterior restoration/renovation was still in progress, but when completed it will be ready for another 150 years of service.

Along with Lila Torg there are a number of other places and the main shopping area on your doorstep.

Stayed here for a week on our trip in Malmo. Everyone we encountered working here was great. We had a slight issue with plumbing in shower but they fixed no problem so no big deal. The breakfast is excellent it’s not possible to leave there hungry. Very clean overall. We used the bike hotels many times and it was easy and great way to get around the city. WiFi is very good and water pressure is nice.

Great location and nice hotel. They only do check in early by paying extra which is no problem if you can choose. However, when I came back to check in at the right time, they had only one person working and a dozen passenger waiting. Eventually a second person came in.

Do NOT book this hotel on a Friday or Saturday!!! There is a club right next door that plays loud music out on to the street (!) until 3am. Also, my wife found a silverfish in the bathroom, so maybe don't book it at all until they've finally finished all the renovating works going on...

This hotel is in a prime location, with great dining and shopping options. The staff is really friendly and the breakfast was very good.
HOWEVER, there is a disco next door and the extremely loud music and building vibration went on until past 4AM. We had to get up at 7:30AM to catch a train so we were able to sleep only 3 1/2 hours. Unless you are willing to partake in that nightlife, I would not recommend this hotel. You’ll get zero sleep (at least if you are in the rooms closer to the bar/disco on days it’s open).
Also, a more temporary issue: the hotel is covered in scaffolding and there is a platform for workers outside your windows, which makes it feel both unsafe and not private enough to open blackout curtains.

This was one of my favorite hotel visits, ever. The breakfast had an outstanding variety of options (and as an American, I am all too accustomed to the bland \"continental breakfast\" option). All food was clearly marked for its main allergens. As a vegan, I found it extremely easy to find nutritious and delicious food options.

The hotel is located centrally and is easy to access by train or bus. I very much look forward to visiting again, someday.

*Note: my room, which was at the back of the building (at my request), required walking down about 3 stairs. I am only mentioning this so that those with mobility issues can potentially request a room near the front/before those stairs. There were also about three stairs to enter through the main entrance of the building.

Hotel was great for a three night stay over a weekend (Thursday - Sunday). 5m walk to Central Station. Great breakfasts. Only downside was the noise from a bar / street below. Thankfully I had some ear plugs. Would stay again but ask for a quieter room (or upgrade my room choice)

Visited for Eurovision. We were given a room at the front of the hotel next to a very loud bar/club that went on until 3am. Pack earplugs! Room is basic but the shower was decent enough. There is no bar at the hotel which we weren't prepared for. Excellent location, friendly staff. Just needs an upgrade throughout.

It was just a small room. A place to sleep. No dresser,, use your suitcase. A desk, WiFi and a port nice shower. I don’t know if this was a typical hotel room for this city/country. But it was clean and a very reasonable rate. I don’t know if the pounding music from the clubs next door (until 3am most nights) effects the price though it probably does.

We arrived very late (flight was late, then after midnight there's only one train an hour to Malmo from the airport) but it was no problem at all. The bed was a dream. The view was lovely out the window in the morning. And the breakfast. OH MY GOSH, I cannot say enough good things about that breakfast. The morning shot, the vegan and gluten free options (I'm not gluten free, but mentioning it for others), the fact that they make their own granola and use free range eggs. And the dining room was gorgeous and desk staff was so kind. I LOVED IT. I wanted to stay, but our onward journey was already booked.

Friendly welcoming staff, great breakfast and lovely clean rooms. Location is brilliant too and not far from the central train station, for easy access to Copenhagen Airport or further into Denmark.

You have to request for your room to be cleaned, I think this is a brilliant idea and I wish every hotel operated this way. It’s better for the environment, easier for the housekeepers and gave me a feeling of privacy whilst staying at the hotel. You don’t typically change bedsheets in your home everyday , so why should hotel rooms be any different?

I was a solo traveller and I managed perfectly fine with no housekeeping required for my 3 night stay.

The breakfast contained many fresh and wholesome items; the porridge was outstanding.

Just one tiny point, there were no decaf coffee sachets in my room. This would’ve been useful :)

I will definitely stay at this great hotel next time I’m in Malmö and highly recommend to others. 10 out of 10!

Nice hotel in a great location. Scandic has the perfect location on stortorget close to train station, the knotted gun, city hall, Södergatan, lilla torget, kungsparken, Malmö castle, etc. beakfast is great and staff is helpfull. Eco-friendly hotel avoiding unnecessary cleaning and change of sheets/towels. :)

Worst hotel in Malmö

My company booked 11 hotelrooms for our staff during our stay in Malmö. Since this is a Scandic hotell, we thought that the quality of the hotell and service would be good, but this was by far the worst experience we had.
1. The front desk staff couldn't recommend a safe parking spot for one of our cars
2. The front desk staff had non service mind when we checked in, they didn't even help with a trolley for all the bags instead they made jokes about \"are you moving in\"
3. The front desk staff turned of the reception phone, resulting in that non of us could call down to the receptions. When we asked them about this they said \"ah we havn't noticed, but it's been quiet\"
4. We didn't get the rooms that we booked, and called to ensure that we would get. When we told the front desk staff about this the negotiated this and started to talk about that don't know what kind of beds are in the different rooms.
5. We needed to exted the stay in one of the rooms, since the front desk staff had turned of the phone we had to walk down to say this. The front desk confirmed the extended stay, but then called to say that she didn't see that the hotel was fully booked and that the room needed to be checked out. Since being in a meeting in a different part of the city, this new information on the all ready confirmed extended stay was to say the least very inconvinient.

Overall this hotell need to get new staff that know what custom service are, I will not recommend any to stay at this hotel

Ignore the review, this hotel is great!!!

I stayed here for 3 nights and had really nice time. The staff members were very nice and friendly to me, room was clean and breakfast was tasty. The location is also great. Bathtub in the bathroom and sauna in the basement helped me to relax my busy time in the conference.

Review is talking about yesterday, that is not relevant for today and tomorrow. I do recommend this hotel for all :)

Poor service, I arrived and they simply asked for my name. They gave me room key and no other information such as wifi, breakfast times, or info about local area. On my second day I requested new towels and sheets as I had a nose bleed at night which the response was \"I will try.\" I will not stay here again and do not recommend it.

It was a short stay, so i didnt have the opportunity to try all the different stuff that they offer.
The receptionist was very polite upon our arrival and offered us take away breakfast when she found out that we were leaving before the breakfast was open. Great service, ordinary rooms and great location.

We had a good stay here, it was worth the price considering the great location, good breakfast buffet and a the equipmed gym, definately would stay there again.
Our room was a value room so a bit small, comfy bed with a nice compact bathroom, but we made it work. Real clean room with a small refridgerator, not much storage space for luggage etc though.... Next time I would request a room facing the inner courtyard instead of a road or side Street, got a bit noisy at nights with cars and people chatting.

Vi havde bestilt et Superior-room. Vi valgte dette værelse og dette hotel ud fra billeder på hjemmeside. Vi blev MEGET negativt overrasket da vi åbnede døren til vores værelse. Her mødte vi overhovedet ikke et værelse som så ud til det billede vi bestilte ud fra ( vi rejser meget og går altid ud fra værelsets udseende ). Slidte gamle møbler, slidt gulv, støv bag sengeborde, varmt køleskab, skægkræg på badeværelsegulv, mørke hår i håndvasken. På billedet er der lænestol, gulvtæppe, lille bord, dette var der IKKE på vores værelse! Vi boede i værelse 307. Vi fortalte det til en kvinde i receptionen, som afvidste os med at vi kunne skrive en mail. En dårlig oplevelse!!

Bra läge men rekommenderar inte att komma med barnvagn då det är trappor till ingången och sen fick vi ett rum där vi var tvungna att lyfta barnvagnen flera trappsteg varje gång för att kunna gå till och från rummet. Eftersom vi hade bokat rummet inkl en bebis borde vi ha fått ett rum utan trappor kan man ju tycka.

Rummet var slitet och ofräscht. Personal i receptionen likgiltiga i välkomnandet.
Frukost är extra tillägg numera,vilket är dåligt. Enda hotell jag känner till som tar extra betalt för att man checkar in lite tidigare. Kommer inte bo hos er fler gånger. Inte värt pengarna!

Rummet är på ett och renoverat för många år sedan.
