Room has everything you need. It is kept very clean. Nice pool. Restaurants close by, nice food good staff service but expensive. Small improvements. New hairdryer needed, cut out every minute of use, noisy fridge in room. The previous person turned it off so it was full of water. The bed was quite hard, but ok. We upgraded from a budget room, not much better.

This place came highly recommended and it seemed promising as a charming boutique hotel with great hospitality. However a lot left to be desired. First our room had leaks in the toilet and the shower drain was backed up causing our whole bathroom to flood into our room. Calling for service was difficult they came multiple times and repair guy walked into the bath with his rubber shoes and made our shower muddy. Then it took a while before other staff came to clean and mop the floor. Breakfast spread looked fantastic and so many food options but everything tasted bland and was a huge letdown. Staff were friendly but overall it felt impersonable, unprofessional, and lacking.

We stayed in the standard. It is very safe with security 24 hours.
The staff are very helpful and can arrange anything. The rooms a clean, heaps of storage, goid ensuite and comfy netted bed with A/C. Decor is dated. Free WiFi and great breakfast.
They have a excellent pool and offer gym, yoga and free massage.

There are bars and restaurants within 15 minutes walking of hotel. We found it safe as the area seemed business like.

Room was not that spacious, and we encountered a couple of issues with our bathroom: shower drain was clogged and water overflowing into the rest of the bathroom and our room! That same evening we noticed the water closet or bidet leaking water again in the bathroom.
Water pressure was very bad and hot water only worked a couple of minutes before switching to cold then back again to hot. It was disruptive and honestly annoying.
Food at breakfast looked good but tasted bland. Everything lacked salt or was unseasoned, a total missed opportunity and a wonder because we heard good things about the restaurant.
It was good enough to sleep in, but consider other options when staying in Kigali.

The food was spectacular. We had breakfast lunch and dinner there. Our group did the wine pairing 6 course dinner. Do not miss this but skip lunch and go hungry. The meal and wine selection was to perfection. The bartender complimented each portion of the meal with a beautiful description of each wine with its origin! Just amazing!
I highly recommend the seamstress to make you or a loved one something special. I had them make my son a shirt and I just showed her a picture of him!! It was a perfect fit. So special!
We also had our laundry done and I would highly recommend that if you have a lengthier stay

- outside our boutique room 108 early morning was the employees starting their day just gathering and talking but woke us up. They were doing nothing wrong and unaware of their conversation waking us
It was also the spot if some power washing cars and whatever other items and that started at 6 am.
The evening receptionist caused confusion ever transaction. She actually forgot to check us out and called us and asked us to turn around and come back. If you know the traffic to airport in Kigali you will know that is not a request to be making. She needs more guidance as she is in training

Great location in a safe, clean, leafy green, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Central Business District of Kigali. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the huge buffet breakfast in the lush garden setting is wonderful. I ate dinner at the restaurant at least 4 times while in Kigali, and each night it was very nice, with wonderful menu choices, attentive staff and a relaxing dining atmosphere. My room in the 4-star hotel was nice for one person, but would probably be very tight for 2 people. I liked the balcony, high ceilings, and colorful African decor. There was a mosquito in my room, which was a bit strange, but there is mosquito netting over the bed, which was nice. My only input is that it would be nice if the property had a free shuttle service to and from the airport. The price they charge for this is outrageous given the distance involved -- even by American standards -- and I chose to find another way. But many of their competitor hotels offer if, and I doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to step up and match the competition. FWIW, I nearly chose another hotel because of this detail.

The booking for messages was nonexistent even 1week in advance.We one person eventually managed to get a booking interrupted several times and also noticed that the staff doing the messages were sitting ideal and chatting despite us being told they are all fully booked with no break.

Having been there a few years prior, I saw the decline in the upkeep of the room--especially the bathroom. Although we did not stay on the retreat side of the campus, I think we still deserved a room that did not have European hair all over the place and a mold-free bathroom. Even after asking for a deep clean, the shower was left in the same condition.

Love this hotel, they think of everything from body lotion and shampoo in the bedrooms that smells amazing, a beautiful pool, two fantastic bars and restaurants, beautiful decor, turn down the bed at night, fresh coffee, biscuits, tea & water in the rooms. Heaven Restaurant and Hotel is an incredible gem! Not only is it very reasonably priced you have access to the entire Heaven campus which includes two beautiful and amazing restaurants including the one on The Retreat property next door, which also has high end accommodations. Two lovely pools, a yoga facility, wonderful local art, and a staff that is engaging and helpful.

A great deal for the price!!! Has everything you need and if you need help with any accomdations for your activities .. they can set it up. Hotel is amazing!! My only complaint is that the price to dine in is really expensive. Even a simple coffee, red bull energy drink, or milkshake is 3 times more expensive that what you can get in the city.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in a budget king room which was just lovely. We loved coming home at the end of the day to a sparkling clean room with the bed crisply made and the mosquito netting tied up and draped like a queens bed in a fairytale. There are modern amenities that Americans often expect like a hairdryer, a nice TV that we never used, a fridge, a coffee and tea station and filtered water. The pool is solar heated and not too cold even in winter (December). The landscaping around the pool is gorgeous and well maintained.

As noted on the website it is a hospitality training center and the staff is so attentive! This is a very lovely hotel. I stayed there a couple of days, left for a couple of days and came back again. The room I had in the newer part of the hotel. The first time was absolutely lovely. The service is great and they have a nice pool and it’s a good location. It’s also a few steps away from a very very nice restaurant so that’s very convenient. But the room I had when I came back was an older part of the hotel, and it just wasn’t as nice. It wasn’t terrible, but it was much older and smaller and less light and airy.

The Heaven Hotel is an oasis of calm in Kigali. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our room was nicely appointed and quiet which was great after flying for > 24 hours. Dinner at Fusion was outstanding and the included breakfast was great including an omelet bar. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay here our next time in Kigali. I also recommend reading Josh Ruxin's book A Thousand Hills to Heaven - a memoir about how the restaurant and hotel started.

We liked the price of the room and the privacy. We didn't like how the property was separated and we had to walk on the road to get to the pool and restaurant. The restaurant prices were ridiculously high so we only ate the included breakfast and ate somewhere else for other meals. Outside space around the hotel was very small.

But….Turn down service is inconsistent- I got nothing for two nights and then service on the last night (but only because I asked ) holes in the mosquito net- television was broken- Was fixed on the third night. Heaven can do better than this. This is my fifth stay - I love the breakfast and breakfast service but each stay has been blighted by inconsistency’s in the rooms.

My taxi driver originally took me to the “Retreat” portion of the resort which I was then told that I’m in the Villas which were there doors down. I could hardly consider this a 4 star resort. The layout of the hotel rooms was not well thought out, the bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls and the tiles were cracked. The ground floor window looking out looks into the parking lot which I couldn’t open the curtains because of privacy. The service attentiveness seemed to downgrade when they found out I was in the “villas”.

At the beginning it was a bit confusing which was which section as I didn't receive the information to begin with, but once I did it was fantastic. I spent 10 days in Heaven Boutique hotel and i should say, i loved it there.
My favourite was the serenity everywhere, beautiful garden, trees, plants, birds chipping. The Yoga and Zumba sessions that this place offers. Although i didn’t manage to take part since i had a 2 years old toddler that didn’t leave me much time to participate but I would have loved it so much to be part of it:) It was still fun to watch sometimes and the loud music each time they had zumba lessons brought in more life to the place.
Breakfast at this hotel was my favourite since they offered very good stuff and a wide range. My favourite was the homemade granola and the healthy fresh juices and the cappuccino.
The only little thing i realised after the 7th day was that although everything was tasty,
they served the same breakfast the whole 10 days. I would have enjoyed it even more if they changed the fruits and vegetables a bit or offered porridge etc for breakfast but all in all, it still was one of the best breakfasts i have ever had😋
