Place was overbooked. I learned this upon arrival. When asked how this happened, I was informed ‘you get what you pay for’ by staff. I was not the only person this happened to, there were others who also would have needed to find alternative accommodation. Thankfully Hotels.com was able to assist and find a new place for me to stay.

An alright place to stay since it was cheap, but the room hadn't really been clean. There was human and dog hair on the bed, as well as debri under the bed. The sheets has also had some stains to them. They only probides one blanket which wasn't that much protection during the cold night .

I made a hotel reservation at this location and I told them ahead of time i would arrive after 1am the night of the reservation. They sent me an email with instructions to be able to self check in via their portal when I would arrive. However, when I arrived the location was locked and there was no one on site to help me check in and their portal self checkin option was not available. I wasn't able to check in and i never received the service for my hotel reservation and i ended up paying again for a different hotel room at a different hotel. I would like a refund

The front desk person was a horrible person. I arrived @10:15 and he was upset that another guest let me in. Then i was told i do not have a reservation. I tried to show him the confirmation on my phone. He said \"I dont care\" well that is an understatement, he does not care. The process ended with this man putting his hands on me and pushing me out the door and threatening to call the Police for tresspassing and he threatened to beat my ass if i didn't get off the property.
I was trying to resolve the situation calmly and he escalated. Horrible service, all i was doing was to check in and sleep for the night. I didn't think i would be pushed and manhandled and threatened. He followed me outside and said he was going to kick my arse...what the heck? I want a full refund immediately. I was dressed in a suit and tie and friendly try to resolve the issue. He said \"no more words\" rude and threatening, this guy needs a different career where he doesn't interact with people

There was only street parking available. I was told it isnt enforced. I still got a ticket. We were woken up to an actual fight happening in one of the rooms or the hallway. Not entirely sure because i wasnt going to stick my head out to see. No one did anythig to stop it. It was awful. There was only one working shower in the whole place and when we went to get bathed before checking out, an employee told me he was about to get in so my husband wasnt even able to shower before check out. We have stayed in guest houses all over the world and this was one of the worst experiences.

This hostel felt unclean, unsafe, and disorganized. It did not even have luggage lockers as listed. Management did not tell staff about my arrival, despite making the booking 12+ hours in advance. I simply needed a place to safely keep my bags, take a nap, and shower between returning the rental-car at night and a 5am flight. However, I would have been happier sitting on the airport floor for a few hours than staying here.

This hotel had bed bugs. I literally had to run away at 2:30 in the morning (after a long flight from Europe) and find another hotel. There was no-one to speak to, they don't seem to have any staff just getting their long term residents to run the place.
But at any rate it was 2:30 in the morning (which is actually 10.30 am back home) I needed to sleep and wasn't going to get into an argument or risk being moved to another room which would almost certainly have the same issue.
They're now refusing to refund the stay, saying it's 'non-refundable' yeah except non-refundable typically means you can't cancel your stay because you feel like it, not no refunds once you find out our property's a health hazard.
Utterly disgusting, why hotels.com hosts places like this I will never understand. And btw hotels.com have also refused to refund me, and are trying not to publish this review. So I guess they like sending customers to bed bugs infested hotels.

This is the second time that i had stayed here. The first one was very pleasant and did not have any problem thats why i booked again for my stay but this time is kinda disappointing. I stayed in the same room and my first time was better than my stay now and noticed that the beddings had not been changed and was obviously not changed from the last person who had used that room as i had been bitten by a lot of bed bugs all over my hands and arms. Also, now they dont provide anymore towel or even blanket, they now charge it extra which i find it ridiculous. Posted at the main door is a sign that says call the number when you arrive which no one answers so pray that someone is inside when you arrive to open the door for you. The only plus is that the area is still safe as i have even walked around the area at night. The kitchen is neat, bathroom/restroom is clean.

The African American clerk who received my husband and I appeared under the influence of a substance, his eyes half shut, his speech significantly slurred at 1:58pm on September 28, 2025. Additionally he presented with abrasive and combative words. As we were very tired from travels we retreated to the space we were assigned. At approximately 336pm. My husband stepped out for a cigarette and encountered the African American front desk clerk. The clerk addressed my husband in aggressive speech. He leveled statements about “Crips” and using his hands to signal what I can only suspect were gang hand language to signify what gang group he was affiliated with. When I sought to intervene, the African American man cursed me saying, “Shut up you stupid and get out of here.” Subsequently, he barred us from our stay at the LAX Guesthouse. The establishment has a no refund policy. A call to the San Marino Guesthouse and talk with a more Senior member of the same propert produced a more positive interaction, the senior member stating that she could approve a transfer to San Marino location, but only after I addressed the concern the the African American man or another women apparently also on staff, but whom I had not seen while I was on the premises. I was fearful the African American male would become more aggressive and I did not return. My husband and I spent the night on the street with no recourse regarding this injustice. I would like my money returned.

I seldom, if ever leave negative reviews. Also, I have stayed in many types of budget accomodation, but this has got to be the worst. The night 'manager' was extremely rude and was watching loud movies on the phone in the middle of the night, so nobody in my room could sleep. I think I would have gotten a better sleep in a tent on skid row. Nobody wanted to say anything, because he appeared a little unhinged.

Before I could even step into the house this tall skinny African American guy stopped me and said , you can’t come here. I know you have booked and paid but you need to take that up with Expedia. I kept telling his , I want to talk with rhe manager and he said he works with management. I was there waiting for someone to help me or answer my calls and my texts along with multiple voice messages. This ruined SO many things for me! The money I spent going to LA for the reunion,! The money I spent on the food and desserts. The money I ended up paying for a car to come and get me. My appointment that evening which I had saved up for 7 Months. It was my schools reunion and this horrible guy ruined everything. I mean everything!! Photographer. People coming from out of town. Clothes I bought just for that night. The surprise of flowers and a dove to honor out principle. I mean everything!!!! Unbelievable. I am so traumatized I don’t know what to say!!? Save yourself the crazy bully nightmare of LAX Guest House and Winston rhe horrible bully!!!

Another guest let me in while I tried to figure out another hotel to stay at - at 1.30am. All the while some guy is on his phone talking about taking people out so everyone’s scared of him. The hostel was slightly hard to find. Didn’t look like much from the outside, but the host was great and the place was one of the Cleanest that I’ve ever stayed in. The place was cleaned every single day, by the host, and he was very friendly and helpful! The downstairs bathroom was immaculate-no lie! I had a private room(also very clean), and my privacy a big plus! Very reasonable pricing and I did book ahead. I had NO issues with my reservations, as I had read others did. Safety: locks and key codes and always someone on the premise. I walked West Century and Prairie, day & night (midnight after a concert at Kia Forum) and I felt safe as a female. I hardly ran into any sketchy people and I walked a lot in Inglewood and LA, in general.
There were 2 toilets, 2 showers, 1 sink, & a kitchenette.( 1 shower was broken, but I was told upfront-so only a clean toilet upstairs.) Really with the amount of people there, I didn’t find this to be a problem. Stayed August 15-18, 2025. Funny: My last night, there was a loud snorer, but my door helped! A/C worked really well. The only issue that I ever had was a food delivery my last night there, but that had absolutely nothing to do with my host and I felt he would have stepped in if the problem had escalated.
My time in LA was quite enjoyable and my accommodations added to my great time in LA!

We paid for 7 days but had to sleep in our car because nobody wouldn’t answer the door. If you have any morals about yourself this anit it. People coming in and out like a prison or halfway house. Only one shower for numerous of people. It was insane to have to wait to use the bathroom everytime. I just wouldn’t recommend anybody to stay here not even for one night. Overall, my experience was satisfactory given the affordable rate. It felt safer compared to other similarly priced motels. However, our private room was adjacent to a shared space, which required us to pass through that area to reach ours. Additionally, the shower on our floor was out of service. Despite these issues, the manager was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. Essentially, it’s a case of getting what you pay for.
