Unfortunately we arrived in the dark during a thunderstorm, and parking was not easy. It's a very steep driveway leading to two different parking lots with virtually no space to turn around. All that said, the room was comfy despite some harsh pin lights in the floor shining upwards that we placed shoes over to \"dial down\", the check-in staff was friendly, and the views from the pool area were beautiful. Hopefully I can return when it's not raining and use the pool.

We have gone to Lugano before and have got this stay and got late at night. We were welcome like returning visitors and felt like in a second home.

Hotel Campione is very average, overpriced, no better than a 2 star hotel. There is a long, drawn out check in process, a surcharge for breakfast and high minibar prices for bottled water that should be complimentary considering the room price; staff recommends a local casino which should be avoided. Cannot recommend this hotel.

Warm welcome in a quiet location
It was good to be close to Lugano but away from the business of the city in in a quiet location, The staff were welcoming and very helpful in meeting our needs and advising on places of interest. The location was ideal for exploring the area especially as we had a car. We had an excellent room overlooking the lake which was a real bonus. We found dinner in the restaurant a bit disappointing It could easily have been improved .with more culinary imagination. We therefore chose to eat elsewhere most evenings. Breakfasts were reasonable good but rather expensive. There were a about 8 free parking places in site and more at a very high price in the garage. There was a good external pool and large sun- bathing area around it...

There is a walk of about 10 mins to the village, with very limited services. Breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel!

This was a highlight! We had a 4th floor king room--beautiful view of lake and lit shoreline of city. Desk was most helpful in finding parking. We sat on the deck next to the pool and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake over a fine Italian dinner and tasty salad with great wine and service.

Pleasant hotel, and easy drive from the centre of Lugano (10-15 minutes) with good view of the lake and Lugano from the opposite shore. It's adjacent to a little slice of Italy where there is a typical Italian village which is great for breakfast (or the Casino).

The price is excellent and in season, the hotel's pool is a good size for swimming and relaxing by.

Booked from Expedia without any knowledge on the place. arrived very early in the morning but they made great efforts to give me the room at 9AM which will never happen in other hotels. offered me coffee on arrival. The room had a view of the lake that enhanced the experience. The bed was a king size and very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Had a bath that was rebuilt recently so felt like a complete new room. The minibar had good selection. in overall Im coming back next year. stayed there 5 days and loved every minute.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and didn't do much research. As we arrived early in the day, our room wasn't ready so thy upgraded us into a beautiful suite. The staff spoken excellent English and the manager, took special care of our needs. Our view of the mountains, City of Lugano and the lake were spectacular. We had a delicious breakfast buffet with a memorable fruit tort. We're glad we found Hotel Campione and will return here on our next visit.

Excellent option for a Lugano stay
The most friendly hotelier ever greeted us. Parking was available on site. The wifi was available in our room with a strong, fast signal. We ate in the restaurant which had quality food and was reasonably priced. Both the indoor and the outdoor seating had a beautiful view of the lake. Our room had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel, although small enough to be personal, was hosting an international bartender competition, which makes a great statement about the desirability of this small hotel.

A treasure in Lugano overlooking the lake
Arrived at the hotel after a full day's drive including the San Bernardino Pass, wife and I were greeted like long lost relatives, instantly felt welcomed and at home. Were offered a free upgrade to a superior room with AC overlooking the pool and the lake. After cooling off in the pool and a quiet snooze pool-side, we stayed for dinner and the our meals were truly excellent which is quite surprising as hotel cuisine is not normally very good. The room was tastefully decorated in Italian Provincial, the bed was very comfortable and overall the room and bathroom were very well maintained. Bottom line: this hotel easily exceeded our expectations in every way and we highly recommend it.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast twice, and two dinners, which were delicious. We made the mistake of trying the hotel across the street, and regretted it! The room was clean and comfortable. This is a very good 3star hotel and I would stay there again when we return.

Virkelig godt ophold. Udsigten fra pool området er intet mindre end vidunderlig! Okay med parkering, dog koster det 15 chf per nat, men hvis man er heldig, kan der være lidt gratis parkeringspladser til rådighed. Bissone byen var ikke noget at skrive hjem over, lidt resturanter og okay flot by, men vil klart anbefale en tur til campione som også er i gåafstand, hvor der er en hyggelig gade med massere af spisesteder, og så kan man slutte dagen af på en af Europas største casinoer, som også er en oplevelse at se, både ude og indefra!
