The suite was gorgeous. The thermal pools were delightful as was the staff. The dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. We loved walking down to the ocean and swimming off the dock. The views were incredible!

Gorgeous views from the property. There are two restaurants on the site, one is inside and one outside. The menu is great, and the services is amazing. The outside swimming pool has thermal water which is naturally warm. There is thermal spa on site with another swimming pool inside is case of rainy weather. The hotel is located high above the sea level. If you feel like swimming in the sea, you will need to go down 270 steps and go up 270 steps. The hotel offers shuttle services to Porto/ downtown shopping. Staff is very professional and courteous. A few minor inconveniences: safe in the room didn't work and our room was on the upper floor with 40 steps up the stairs. If you have any difficulties with doing stairs, make sure to call in advance and request a room on a lower level.

Stunning views over the bay.

The view made up for the slight discrepancies. An excellent pool area and beach dock with crystal clear waters. The thermal spa is a must and useful if the weather is not to good. There is a heated indoor pool, a cold shallow pool, steam room and jacuzzi.
The room itself was a little tired. Curtains pulled off the railing, doors scratched and the bedside, with a bulb not working and french doors difficult to open. Both were mentioned to the front desk but were never fixed. There is no body lotion in the bathroom but there was soap and shampoo.
The staff were generally very friendly and helpful but often we felt forgotten at breakfast when being asked for drinks or clearing the table.

It is an older property. The air conditioning was not working to capacity while we were there. Our room was VERY HOT. We complained and were told we would be moved to another room (twice) and then were told, both times, that the air conditioning had been repaired by their tech. The first night we were moved to a room with air.
The 2nd night, we were told the air was fixed. The room was still hot.

This will be my new vacation spot when I come to Ischia. I absolutely love this resort. The rooms are spacious with Italian charm. And I love that they have an on-site restaurant and bar with a view of the sea that is breathtaking.

Love location, overlooking water, beautiful pier to swim from, lovely terraces for meals, lounge, two beautiful pools, staff wonderful especially for meals. Room clean and serves purpose but very small. English speaking staff minimal at front desk. Gourmet meals fabulous if you don’t mind paying $50-100 per course. Free breakfast large selection- best meal! Biggest disappointment was Massage thermo experience. Just a bath tub and I’ve had better massages in the mall. It felt like they just pulled him off the desk, he did not do anything I have experienced from a professional. Otherwise stay was very nice.

Le Querce is in a spectacular location overlooking the Port of Ischia. Compared to other Italian hotels, the staff was less than welcoming. The biggest problem that we had in a four night stay was that the pool was out of commission for half of it. After draining and cleaning it, they refilled it with thermal water that was 122 degrees F. The room had a mini-bar with bottled water, but nothing else and there was a sign prohibiting guests from putting anything in the fridge. The hotel does provide a shuttle to the Port of Ischia, but it doesn't run at times that allow dining in town. The weather was extremely hot while we were there, and air-conditioning was borderline.

The hotel charges for most amenities i.e; towels at the pool, mandatory that even bald men purchase a head cap to wear in the pool.
Dining staff excellent. No elevator. Many steps to climb. Outdoor pool wasn't heated.

This place is for 50 and above.. There is only one meal in the evening and the bar only serves ham & cheese on toast. The dinner area boss is old school, hard on the ladies as wait staff. Tried to bully.. I asked for a menu and he replied, “ I don’t make the rules” shrugged shoulders and was aggressive. The newspapers are tied a key pole..

No way is this a 4 Star or better hotel. It’s old school way of thinking..

That being said, some of the staff was great and if he owner would allow them to accommodate the visitors he would be better off. I saw the owner and he is not so nice.. His wife worked hard to make things happen at the bar. If your under 50, don’t stay here.

A/C barely works, had to wake up during the night to open the balcony door to let air in. Notified front desk and was told it was working fine. Not sure how when it would only blow warm air out. Room was okay,expected higher quality when paying over $300 per night.

Over promise, Under deliver!

A mixed yet overall disappointing stay. I'm still not entirely convinced we were given the Superior room we paid for, despite checking with two separate reception staff! This has to be the smallest Superior room in the Mediterranean, with a minute bathroom and severely restricted view of the Med. This also has to be the only four star hotel with no pool towels - having travelled with hand luggage only, we had no choice but to use our bath towels (nice touch!).

Breakfast was also disappointing with what I can only describe as 'watered down orange juice' - revolting! Why do that? The rest of the breakfast selection wasn't much better, so coffee and toast has to suffice.

Staff were pleasant, the room was clean, but overall a poor experience. Next time we'll do it properly and stay on Capri.

Depends on rooms if acceptable?

This is a real mixture and contradictory review, as it very much depends on your allocated room as to whether you would want to return - we most certainly do NOT. Our room did have a lovely sea view - but was right next to an upper car-park (where some guests and the courtesy bus was stationed) next to the very busy main road which the hotel sits on and the entrance door constantly left open - resulting in an EXTREMELY noisy room (right through to the early hours of the morning) coupled with the fact that we could not leave the window open which faced the sea as directly below was an air-conditioning unit which was very noisy from early morning to late evening - not the ideal room when you have come away from a busy London for a quite break!! We requested a move (which we offered to pay an upgrade for) but this was not forth coming until the 3rd day (during which time we had to live out of our suitcases) the alternative room was much lower down in the multilevel hotel which was dark and dingy and a great number of steep steps up to any other part of the hotel - we were given ear-plugs by another guest and suffered the rest of our holiday with the noisy - not acceptable. However if you had a nice room in the middle level of the hotel you would probably be very content. Snr reception staff unhelpful - ALL other staff exceptional!

We had a lovely week. The hotel was great, lots of steps but lovely views and it's a volcanic island!! Pools full of thermal water, beautiful gardens to visit. Beware the crazy busy busses!! Great way to explore the island of you don't mind playing sardines everytime you get on the bus!!! We took a trip around the island too in a small boat just 20ish people fabulous. Enjoy

unfortunately this was a very old Italian hotel and refitted with modern cons.However there was no information about access,ferrys etc.Do not try and walk up the hill with a suitcase [22k] its over 800 mts.There should have been notification about a courtesy bus from the hotel [10.30.am] and returning at 19.40 from the port.
There are no tea/coffee items in the rooms.Many add ons but pleasant staff,breakfast could be improved as its the same everyday.

Get the suite!

Initially booked a superior room with a ocean view and a private balcony based on the pictures on hotel.com. The room we got had a view if you stood in a corner and didn't have a private balcony. Halfway through the stay the manager moved us to a junior suite and we loved this room. We might go back and if we do we'll be sure to book the suite which is very spacious, has a great balcony and amazing view.
The staff is lovely but for someone from the US this hotel (along with others we have stayed at in Italy) feels a bit dated.
The breakfast is wonderful, but the dinner at the hotel restaurant was awful, the worst we've ever had in Italy.

Pleasant & Quiet Hotel with two pools

Pleasant experience, quiet and tranquil environment. Good for short term stays. 2 thermal Pools - one outside and one inside. The room features very simplistic. Don't expect anything posh. Not really professionaly run, and some things cost extra (i.e. the pool towels). About 15 minute walk fom hotel to town, but the way back is uphill all way. Not for the elderly or weak.

Nothing to mark, it is really very flat. The rate should include the cost of bathrobes and towels for the thermal area and not a fee for everythng.

Had high hopes for this recommended hotel in Ischia. Some rooms have nice views of the water. Beds were hard. The A/C did not work and we were not offered an alternative. To make it worse a loud lounge band played below our now open window roomfor air on a Tuesday night until 1am. Restaurant is very expensive and pretenious with a dress code. Bathing caps required to swim in the pool and towels are $10, you cannot bring a towel from the room.

Very Dissapointed!

It was So misleading at check-in. They hand you a book with rules to follow. What they do not tell you is that once you are ready to check out, they will try to charge you 10euros for each pool towel one checks out. 3euros per bathing cap, (a must for men and women). Thank God we never checked out a bathrobe because one gets charged for that too. Also, if you get the breakfast and bed package you have to sit in a side corner of the dining room as they nice tables with an ocean room is reserved for those guests who also included dinner in the reservations. Extremely dissapointed!!! The Hotel needs to offer much more clarity and transparency as well as Hotel.com providing those important charges which can add to a lot upon check-out.

Enjoy Ischia and the Querce Hotel and Spa

We found the staff exceptional from reception to checkout.Most staff spoke english which helped since we only know afew words of Italian
It was a totally relaxing 3 days and we wish we had stayed longer. It would be a great place for a second honeymoon.
The restaurant served great breakfasts and dinners. Our last night was a special dinner and entertainment and dancing outside on the patio.
My wife loved her massage at the spa.
The local bus stops outside the hotel and we toured the island of Ischia by bus.
A visit to the castle is a must. There are numerous beaches a short walk from almost every bus stop.
We found the Querce a great bargain with fine accommodations and great food served by friendly staff.
We can't wait to return.

My wife and I have stayed in many 4 star hotels in Italy and I would NOT class this a 4 star hotel. The overall decor and maintenance of the place looked tired and could do mith a makeover. Most although not all the staff were dour and not welcoming. Breakfast buffet was very poor. Poolside food was adequate. Safe to say I wouldn't recommend this hotel and certainly not at the prices charged. Only saving grace was the fantastic view from the balcony across the bay of Naples.

This hotel has nice views and a reasonable pool but for the price, the service and the facilities are very poor. We arrived expecting a spa hotel and realised it is at best a 3 star! The food at the hotel was terrible. We actually left the hotel a day early without a refund because it was so bad. Service is very poor and the hotel caters more for travelers that stay as part of all-in packages there. We did end up laughing at what is definitely an Italian 'faulty towers' - Basil, Manuel and all!

It was only when we were (quietly) checking out early that anyone even pretended to be concerned about what kind of service we were getting. This was the first time I have ever left a hotel early!

To give a couple of examples of the issues - on arrival, the toilet was not cleaned properly in our room; the reception staff were rude and patronising; we asked to sit at a window table at breakfast but were refused it even though nobody sat there or the surrounding tables, after we sat down; the food was overpriced and expensive; and the drinks were 5 star prices!

Avoid if you are looking for something more than the views (which you get at most hotels on an island!)

Beautiful sea views, really enjoyed stay

We upgraded on arrival to Junior suite. Sea view fantastic, private balcony, proper double bed. Every aspect good but we first booked superior double which we saw on arrival. It was right next to dining room, this room wouldn't have been so good. However staff very helpful and enthusiastic, thermal pool and facilities very good. Big plus - bus stop enabling access to rest of island right outside hotel.

4성급이라고 하는데, 솔직히 수많은 호텔을 다녀왔지만 다른 4성 호텔과 비교했을때 말도 안된다고 생각함. 일단 해안가 인접하다해서 믿고 예약하였는데, 해안가엔 아무도 없음. 관리자도 없고 냄새나는 바다임. 해안까지 가는데 계단도 엄청나게 내려가야함. 프라이빗 비치가 아니라 누구하나 구조요청해도 모를정도. 조식도 포함이지만, 뭔가모를 신선하지 않는 느낌이 강함. 방은 넓지만 삐그덕대고 푹꺼진 쇼파베드와 휑하기 그지없는 텅빈 객실. 곧 망할 것 같은, 아니 이미 망한거 같은 유령호텔 느낌이 강한 호텔임. 빠르게 다른 곳으로 옮겼음. 4성급에 대한 기준이 있을텐데 직원 수도 턱없이 부족해보임.... 솔직히 이 호텔은 다시는 안갈거임. 숙소에 묵는 손님도 많지 않음. 딱 한가지 좋은건 야외 온수 수영장임. 직원들은 친절하지도 불친절하지도 않은 딱 거기까지.

Schöne Hanglage mit guter Aussicht. Lauwarmer Außenpool sehr angenehm. Gute Frühstückauswahl, Shuttleangebot nach Ischia und Bushaltestelle vor der Tür.

Insgesamt fehlte uns aber der Charme und Freundlichkeit im Hotel. Wir empfanden es unpersönlich und der Service war unaufmerksam. Wir haben uns eher nicht wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind auch in der höheren Kategorie in die Jahre gekommen. Preis Leistung passt eher nicht. Würde es nicht wieder buchen.

Atemberaubende Lage über dem Meer, leicht ausserhalb von Ischia Porto. Gut auch per Bus zu erreichen (3 Haltestellen). Grosser Pool mit genügend Liegen und Bar direkt am Pool. Grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereits Personal an der Réception. Roller können direkt im Hotel gemietet werden. Lohnenswert für Ausflüge.

We had a shared terrace with the room next to ours, which wasn’t clear when we booked and felt a bit uncomfortable. Our first and second night the hotel had a live band playing until about 2am and after that fireworks.. They did not tell us about this on beforehand. Other than that, beutiful view and nice deck at the beach (a bit hard to get to though).

La plage et la piscine de l'hôtel sont vraiment tres bien, neanmoins nous avions des chambres qui donnaient sur le jardin et donc a cote de l'une des routes les plus passantes de l'île, impossible de dormir ave la fenetre ouverte et on entendait les voitures fenetres fermées

Abbiamo prenotato questa struttura scegliendo la camera doppia superior vista mare (volutamente scelta considerando il costo maggiore). Arrivati, ci viene assegnata una camera totalmente differente rispetto a quella prenotata (sul sito venivano caricate le foto delle diverse camere prenotabili). Fatto notare alla reception, ci viene proposto un cambio camere con una leggermente migliore ma comunque diversa da quella prenotata. La struttura non ha neanche pensato di scontare qualcosa dal costo oppure offrire qualche servizio per scusarsi della loro ingannevole pubblicità. Il complesso gode di un’ottima posizione panoramica (anche se scomodo per raggiungere i centri abitati), è chiaramente datato e mecessiterebbe di una importante modernizzazione. Viene offerto un servizio navetta che però prevede orari di partenza del tutto inadeguati rispetto alla posizione della struttura. La colazione, pur offrendo prodotti discreti, non è assolutamente all’altezza del costo del soggiorno. Buoni i servizi spa e spiaggia (seppur con più di 200 gradini per raggiungerla). Complessivamente non credo che l’albergo possa presentarsi come un decantato 4 stelle. Lodevole il panorama e le terrazze comuni. Non credo che tornerò.

The pool area, the \"pontoon beach\" and the beach are lovely. The hotel is overall very quiet.
The breakfast is just about average and is exactly the same every day (quite boring after four nights). The restaurant (lunch) is also average.
The pillows are awful and the room not really clean (especially the floor!!)
The service is really bad. You barely get a \"hello\" in the morning and smiling is optional. Three or four of the staff members are friendly, for the rest, you don't feel welcome at all.
We wouldn't be back, and it's a shame cause the setting is great.

La struttura non ha rispettato la prenotazione della camera vista mare che invece era terribile con biancheria bucata, arredi fatiscenti, scale non segnalate per la camera, doccia con tendina di stoffa sporca, 230 scalini per scendere in spiaggia e molto altro. Dopo lamentele la seconda camera, pur di livello superiore, era inadeguata e non corrispondente a quella pubblicizzata è prenotata e i servizi offerti omettevano insidie che non avrebbero fatto scegliere la struttura. Alla fine il personale della reception ha assicurato il rimborso del costo che ad oggi non è pervenuto.

La struttura si presenta bene, elegante e con un'ottima accoglienza. Check-in rapido e cortese. Servizio navetta gratuito dal porto, ma con orari da migliorare, soprattutto nel pomeriggio. Piscine pulite e ben organizzate. Buon Wi-Fi. Stanze un po' piccole ma pulite. Servizio ristorazione da migliorare: colazione varia ed abbondante ma cornetti congelati e dolci non di buona qualità. La qualità della cena non all'altezza di un 4 stelle (pasta scotta e cambiamenti all'ordine fatto senza darmi alcuna spiegazione o giustificazione). I prezzi degli extra sono assolutamente alti.

Vista soettacolare su Procida e Ischia

Albergo molto carino, begli spazi luminosi, piscine termali con accesso al mare e piccola spiaggia. Unco disagio per chi non ama tenersi in forma sono le scale per raggiungere la spiaggietta.
La nostra camera vista mare molto spaziosa e ben curata.
Personale alla ricezione addetti ai sevizi molto amabilie dsponibili, così come gli addetti al bar e alla sala da pranzo che però ho trovato un po‘ dispersivi e non proprio coordinati nel servizio. Cucina veramente ottima. Tornerò con piacere
