Near fantastic public transport links (safe, reliable, quick, regular), but this hostel is one of the best I've stayed in (and I stayed in a dorm room!). Our room was next door to a toilet - you wouldn't know it! So quiet: absolutely no sounds from corridor or next door. And, so very safe - reception staff were friendly, welcoming and professional from the first moment, and all staff I interacted with were so personable, obviously (and understandably) proud of STF Stigbergsliden. Excellent kitchen, dining room, and courtyard facilities. Can't wait to stay again! Tack så mycket, team at Stigbergsliden <3

Really lovely hostel, very modern. Has kitchen which was great. Nice communal areas including garden. Good location, 2 mins from tram stop and easy to walk into city centre.
Only downside was I didn't receive the info for late check in instructions as there was a delay, but there is a phone number to call and I was luckily enough that someone was still in reception. Have to rent towel for a small fee and the doors automatically close meaning they banged shut

This place is fine for the cost. The area is fine, the rooms are small but that’s expected. 20 minutes walk to Haga. There’s a bowling alley and a pool hall on the same street and a couple of restaurants near by.

Amazing for the price. Yes, it is a budget facility, but a very good one. Room was compact but had everything you need, including a sink, which was very nice! Staff was always friendly and willing to help. Very happy with my stay.

Clean, tidy, comfy, well organised. We had a private room and it was big enough for us. The location was perfect - 1 minute to the tram stop, plenty of cafes, bars, shops grocery stores etc all with a couple of minutes walk. Was a really nice area to stay in. Would stay here again in Gothenburg.

The property was very comfortable and had a kitchen so that we could cook our meals. Much of the area was in construction as was part of the hostel but there is a supermarket nearby that is very well stocked. You have to make your own bed.

Very good value for money. The hostel is located not far away from the city centre. It's easily reachable by foot or public transit. The hostel itself is nice, very modern but in a old building. Has everything you need - a modern kitchen, showers, toilets and kind staff. You make your own bed with the included linen, and the rooms have a sink.

The hostel was nice enough, and did the job for me and my friends having a girls weekend in Gothenburg. The lady at reception was lovely and helpful. However some of the long term stayers in he hostel werent quite such a delight with one in particular making myself and my friends very uncomfortable/uneasy during our stay. Also worth noting was that we had to pay extra for bed linen and had to clean our own room or we would've been charged per person for room cleaning which we didn't expect. All other hostels I've stayed in have provided bed sheets free of charge and room cleaning has also been included. On the whole the place was clean enough and reasonably easy to get to where we needed to go with a tram stop right outside.

Köket var tyvärr inte i gott skick. Kastruller och andra redskap var smutsiga, och både skåpen, spisen och köksfläkten var dammiga. Köksfönstret var dessutom nedsotat av svart rök, vilket gav ett ofräscht intryck. Diskmedlet var utspätt med vatten och rengjorde därför inte ordentligt vid diskning. I köket fick vi bara en disktrasa per dag, vilket inte var tillräckligt. På avresedagen påpekade jag för städpersonalen att en enda trasa inte räckte, eftersom den snabbt blev oanvändbar.
Ett annat problem var att skåpen saknade lås. Gästerna var tvungna att själva köpa egna lås, trots att det borde vara boendets ansvar att tillhandahålla detta. Normalt sett ska varje gäst få ett lås och en nyckel till sitt skåp, som sedan lämnas tillbaka vid utcheckning. Tyvärr fungerade det inte så här.

Utforskade Göteborg med barnen (7 och 10 år). Vandrarhemmet var vår bas. Perfekt läge som gjorde det lätt att ta sig överallt med kollektivtrafiken. Bra frukost att kicka igång dagen med och väl utrustat kök att laga kvällsmiddag/kvällsfikat i. Barnen bävade på förhand upplägget med delade toaletter men konstaterade nöjt att de var rena och fräscha - trots de många Gothia cup-spelare som var där samtidigt som oss. Två tummar upp från var och en av oss.

Det som var negativt var at renholde på fellesområdene kjøkknet og toalettene var veldig møkete og ekelt. Velg møkete i skuffer hondtak lister gulv osv. Håper de kan gjøre noe med det. For ellers et fin sted.
