It has everything one needs for an enjoyable beach vacation. John even provided beach chairs. He gave us great advice on places to see and things to do in PR. Perfect Off the Beaten Path Rincon Getaway

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I was traveling with my 70 year old mother and 14 year old daughter over Christmas week. We didn't have a rental car so we were worried about how it would work out, but John and his son were so incredibly helpful and generous with recommendations. They couldn't have been more attentive and friendly and we felt right at home. When my daughter got a bad sunburn after our first day, John personally brought us some aloe. The place is clean, comfortable, and so beautiful. It's close enough to walk to Sandy Beach and a few restaurants, but far enough up the hill to not be too noisy and give a little escape from the hustle. The pool area is SO peaceful and beautiful. The beach chairs and towels made beach going much more pleasant. The breakfast was exactly what we needed each morning for surf fuel - basic protein, fresh fruit and bagels/pastries/oatmeal. Nothing fancy but just what we needed. The view from our room and the balcony were incredibly (room 4!) As others have mentioned, the walk back up the hill from the beach is quite steep. But my 70 year old mother with hip and ankle problems managed it a few times, she just went slowly (and watch out for cars, they do drive fast:) John put us in touch with a local cab company if anyone finds themselves in a similar predicament, they were a family run business and also very friendly. And if the "Thai Lady" is in town, I highly recommend getting fresh homemade Thai from down the road

Small hotel without noise. Very knowledgeable and friendly host, Nice pool, very comfy beds and quiet neighborhood to sleep in. Short walk to a few restaurants and Sandy Beach for surf or swim. Our friendly host preparing breakfast was perfect w fruit, egg, pastries, yogurt. John went out of his way in hospitality and wouldn't mind going out of his way to help anyway that he could. My flight was delayed and arrived very late, he sent me the link for phone tracking and connecting to his phone ready for my arrival at his place at 1:30AM. Thanks John.

Almost like home

John is the perfect host, there when you need him, responsive to your every need but providing enough space to feel private. Dos Angeles is a beautiful tribute to John's family and the property reflects his pride. The continental breakfast was plentiful, the pool was perfect, the room spacious and spotless, and the location was minutes from everywhere. We spent a week and were sad to leave, but will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous 4 day stay. It is a quaint family owned b&b with beautiful people. Quiet location yet close to the beach and town. John was so very hospitable and knowledgeable of the area. He would go out of his was to pamper us.
We had not explored this area of Puerto Rico and enjoyed the central location being able see all the gorgeous beaches north and south of us. Loved having access to beach chairs and umbrella. Even though I believe the place was all booked due to Easter week, we felt as though we were the only ones there. Many days we had the pool all to ourselves. The beds were comfortable and shower was hot. On several mornings I would take an early walk down to Sandy beach and enjoyed walking on the sand. It was a great way to start my day. I would stay here again if I were back in this area.

Dos Angeles del Mar was our base of operations for a first-time trip to Rincon. John, the owner, was a delight -- helpful, informative and friendly. The property is relatively close to the beach along a narrow road, an easy walk down, but a trek back uphill. Driving is better. Breakfast was casual and excellent (pastries, boiled eggs and a variety of fresh fruit). The pool is beautiful, meaning modest in size and a beautiful place to relax). The B&B is like Rincon itself -- casual, very pretty and worth revisiting.

John loves his home and it shows. He also loves to have people over and takes care of everyone as if they were family.
The pool and the setting around it is gorgeous - and you have to stay for the evening and night time, when everything around you goes nuts!!

Room we stayed in was huge and while basic, we didn't need anything else since we were just staying there to sleep over.

Breakfast was simple, but tasty. Location is perfect...everything is within 20m drive, but you can walk down the hill to get coffee, eat and sit on the beach, if you wanted to. Don't hate me when you go back up again at the end of the day :)

Next time we're in Rincon, we're staying with John again. If he'll have us ;)

Stay On The West Side!

The Inn is slightly up a hill from the beach, a five minute walk. The setting is a lush garden of palms around a courtyard with a swimming pool. Off-street parking is provided. The room was clean and well kept with modest furnishings. Five minutes, by auto, to the center of the most charming town. The hosts, John and Yolanda are a delight, very kind and attentive. John has an encyclopedic knowledge of the island and is most helpful in every respect. Fresh fruit, more flavorful than one will ever taste stateside, is part of the complementary breakfast. For the price, this Inn cannot be beat. It is a great base for exploring the island. Highly recommended!

Great place! Would have never picked this place if it wasn't for reading others comments first. Need to use Google maps only- to locate anything in this area as not much for street signs so can get lost fast! Caretaker texted us while on our way to the B&B to help us with directions. He was also very helpful with information on what to do, go to, or eat for the area. Also because of this place being small, we met some great "roommates" to party with and hang by the secluded lovely backyard pool area.

Lovely garden, comfortable, convenient to beach

Our host was friendly and helpful with his knowledge of the area. The garden and outdoor breakfast area was beautiful, peaceful and well-screened from neighbors. It took a while to get used to driving the narrow, hilly and windy streets and while distances to beaches are very short, they are not easily walked. The weather was what we hoped, a wonderful preview of summer and sun when we left the Northeast at the end of March. Watching surfers was fun, and our first sight of the huge waves (after a recent storm) at our first dinner at a beachside restaurant was breathtaking. We found a wonderful deserted beach cove area very close by to this B and B. The daily breakfast at this Bed and Breakfast was the same each day, sufficient, though minimal: hard boiled eggs, a selection of bread for toast, cereals, mediocre pastries and wonderful fruit. We were there for 5 week days, not the weekend. Lots of good eating places nearby. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and considered this to be a very good value.

Great place for an adventurous couple....

Great for an adventurous couple who enjoys the outdoors. This was a fun, low key B&B with great grounds in a really cool area. We stayed in the honeymoon suite that has a balcony. We could walk down the hill to Sandy Beach surf spots, 3-4 restaurants/shops and it was only a short drive to South Rincón surf spots. John was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the local area.

Charming Inn walking distance from Sandy Beach

November 2016. With Google maps on our phones, finding the Inn was simple. Our host, John, was helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived and his local insight contributed to making our stay in Rincon a memorable one. Our room was as advertised with a view of the ocean from the balcony. The backyard (pool & hot tub) and breakfast area are simply beautiful. At night, the Coqui (frogs) provide an unforgettable serenade from the balcony or pool area. Continental breakfast was fresh, simple, and varied. Swimming, snorkeling, and surfing beaches are a short drive away along with some excellent restaurants. For the spectator, the nearby light house (Faro de Punta Higuero) provides viewing of the surfing on Domes beach.

A pleasant Surprise

I couldn't have been happier with this little find. The owner john emailed early in the day to assure that the room would be ready and if we needed anything to make our stay better. Don't be put off by the winding roads that lead up to the hotel, Rincon's landscapes is mostly mountainous and the beach was virtually a 3 or 4 min drive down the hill. John was very helpful with tips for restaurants and overall a genuinely nice guy. The Room was decorated as exactly a room in Puerto Rico should be. My wife and I loved it. We had a balcony with a nice distant view of the ocean My only complaint was that we only booked for only one nite and didn't get to hang by the pool which is surrounded by beautiful trees and bushes. The continental Breakfast was very good as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to spend time in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dos Angeles del Mar bed and breakfast. John the owner was very welcoming upon our arrival. He helped us with our bags from the car to the office. Once inside check-in was quick and easy. He gave us an area map and pointed out where things were in relation to us. Afterward he helped us with our bags upstairs and gave us a quick tour. Breakfast was decent. We loved the fresh pineapple and papaya. Muffins, bagels w/cream cheese, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and my girls favorite hot chocolate were also available. The beds were a little on the hard side for my liking, but we still slept great. Our overall experience was very pleasant! We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. The place was quiet and clean. Walking distance from beach and cool bar/restaurants. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great and Clean location with Excellent hosts!

We were very happy staying at this hotel-clean, close to the beach and restaurants, and beautiful location. The owner was very hospitable and took care of all of our needs-he even lent us beach chairs and a cooler during our stay.

Very nice, clean easy parking, close to everything. Hosts are very helpful. give them a call for directions if you get lost forget the GPS, it is close to all the great restaurants on the beach in Rinco

Good spot!

The ONLY complaint I have is the road going to the hotel is very narrow, bumpy and just a plain mess. The hotel itself was perfect. Well air conditioned rooms and they serve really good breakfast. A little down the road was the beautiful beach. A lot of great places to eat at are within walking distance! Everyone should eat at Red Flamboyán Restaurant. The food there is incredible and has good prices too.

Perfect couples get-away

Our nights at Dos Angles were perfect. My wife and I enjoyed the fine comfort of our room. A quiet get-away in a very cool setting. We would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite - great room and view of the water.
John is an outstanding host as is Yolanda. Both have many suggestions about what to do and how to best get around. They went above and beyond our expectations.
This offered to us a wonderful opportunity to visit with other guests, all quite interesting and fun.
Setting was perfect for relaxing get-away.
