Great staff and location. The hotel needs some TLC particularly the gardens and pool area. The bathrooms were nicely decorated and very clean. There was a graduation celebration and woke up to trash and food around the pool area (tray of hamburger and hot dog sausage). The staff was very efficient in cleaning up the mess early morning around 5-6am (I’m an early riser;). A guest was very impolite mentioning in Spanish to a staff that “he hoped they put Clorox in the pool” as I was passing by. I vented tearfully to the staff at the front desk who showed empathy and apologized. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again. Couldn’t allow one ignorant, rude comment to ruin my vacation.

The stay was overall enjoyable, but one issue worth noting is noise. Our room was located next to an event space, and one weekend night there was a loud event with music and heavy bass that could be felt in the room until late at night. It made it difficult to relax and sleep. In my opinion, this room should not be occupied on the nights with events.

The Rincon of the Seas was a nice quiet getaway. It is not a large property, but nicely situated on the sea and within walking distance of bars and restaurants downtown. The staff was great - would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the suite which is recently renovated. It is a very large space with beautiful views and a walk to an amazing beach…but for the price of almost $700 a night with the limited service the hotel offers it’s not worthwhile.

There is no restaurants on the property just a pool bar with a lot to be desired food, no fresh juices (a crime for an island hotel), and not even cable to watch a playoff game.

There is definitely no room service and a phone that doesn’t call the front desk. For beach towels or any needs you have to walk all the way back to the lobby and either take the emergency stairs or get in an elevator that might get stuck as it happened with us.
The cleaning crew, while lovely, if you don’t tell them to sweep your sandy floors they definitely won’t do it. If you want water you have to go to the lobby and pay.

In honesty, we love Rincon. We have stayed at this hotel in this same room 4xs now and are always saddened by the treatment towards guests, especially ones that return and pay a premium price, and the lack of investment in the property.

The resort itself is in a great location — being directly on the beach while also having stores and restaurants nearby was very convenient. The outside of the property was nice and presentable, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. It was also a gated resort, and despite there being stray cats, chickens, occasional iguanas, and birds wandering around, they were harmless and honestly added to the island atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the stay itself was disappointing due to the number of issues experienced throughout our visit. There were ants inside the room daily, the toilet tank frequently would not refill which left us unable to flush multiple times, and housekeeping only serviced the room every three days, which did not make much sense for a beachfront resort where sand is constantly tracked inside.

We also experienced our key card stopping working the day before checkout, loss of hot water one day, and during the repair process the water to the toilet was shut off and never turned back on afterward. Also, early morning construction noise was disruptive during the stay.

While the location and staff were positives, the repeated maintenance and cleanliness issues made the overall experience far less enjoyable than expected.

An authentic Puerto Rican experience.
The food was delicious. The amenities were immaculate and the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating.
The Royal Palm Cafe breakfast was awesome and the coffee was unforgettable.
The Greenflash Pool Bar offers authentic Puerto Rican dishes.
Benny at the pool bar did a great job.
My wife and I look forward to returning next year.

I’ve been to a couple of the hotels in the area, but normally stay with a friend. I’m so glad this year that we stayed at Rincon of the Seas because it was awesome! I loved our room, I loved our view, the pool was excellent, clean, the staff was so nice and so helpful with anything that came up from grabbing an extra towel to helping with our next reservation! I returned three weeks later with a family member who booked for next winter also.
I honestly thought the place was just great and would recommend it highly!

What a real joy. The service is wonderful. The place is impeccable and so are the rooms. The pool and bar area is perfect. The music is just at the right level. Staff were wonderful. Property was beautiful. My only thing is the sliding glass doors need some oil. People above me kept going in an out all night on their balcony and it sounded like they were moving furniture. Also maybe a sign posted like some hotels have that quiet hours are after 10 pm. After doing water sports and being out in the sun all day, Last thing I wanted was to be kept up by rude guests. Not the hotels fault but maybe a sign would help. It was a wonderful place!

I chose this hotel based on the reviews, and I wouldn’t consider myself a very picky traveler—as long as I get what I pay for. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met here.
The food and drinks are good once you finally receive them, but the wait times can be very long. The rooms themselves are fine, however they need to be kept extremely cold or the ceiling starts to sweat. I understand this is a tropical climate, but it’s uncomfortable having my kids come in from the pool into an ice-cold room.
On our second day, we noticed a significant number of ants in the room. We didn’t bring any food inside, so I’m not sure where they came from—they seemed to be concentrated around a power cord.
The service is polite, but not particularly warm or attentive. Staff do their jobs, but it lacks the friendliness and hospitality you might experience on other islands or on a cruise.
The surrounding area is nice, with many cute places to eat nearby, and it definitely offers a quieter, more relaxed vibe compared to San Juan. There is limited amount of things to do for kids: beach, pool,ping pong table, swings. No gym or sport courts.
It was ok for our 5 day stay but on the last day the kids were bored.

The trip from beginning to end was absolutely perfect. Check in was quick, and we had a poolside room. Walking right out to the pool was exactly what we wanted and the kiddos loved. The swim up bar added to the pool enjoyment. The food at the restaurant was prepared very quickly each time we ordered whether for sit down or to-go. We loved our 2nd stay there just as much and cannot wait to be back!

Loved staying here, it was exactly what we were looking for. No frills, just great beach and pool time. Parking was easy, and we were able to walk into Rincon Plaza (about 18 minutes). There’s also a really cute coffee spot right across the street. We didn’t eat on the property, but it looked like they offer basic pub-style food (burgers, fries, etc.). The only small note is that we could hear some footsteps from above, nothing too disruptive, but worth mentioning for light sleepers. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights at the hotel and had a bit of a “two very different stays in one trip” experience.

Our first room (#210) had a serious humidity situation—the kind where everything feels a little… tropical indoors (think damp floors and walls, and that sticky feeling that never quite goes away). There was also a persistent dripping noise at night that made it hard to sleep. The room could definitely use some TLC, with signs of wear like rusty doors, some mold in the A/C and bathroom, and aging grout/caulking. The room phone also wasn’t working, which made it tricky to reach the front desk.

The good news: when we mentioned it the next morning, the team was very responsive. Carlos in particular was great—he listened, understood immediately, and moved us to a new room on the third floor.

The second room was a big improvement—no humidity issues and a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. That said, it still showed some general wear (similar maintenance items as the first room), so it seems like upkeep is something the property needs.

Common areas could also benefit from a good refresh (a power wash would go a long way).

As for the staff, most were genuinely warm and welcoming, which we really appreciated. Carlos stood out for his professionalism and quick help. We did have a less pleasant interaction on the last day.

Overall, this feels like a bit of a hit-or-miss property depending on the room you get.

Room smelled like mildew and mold. And the floors were dirty . They did try to correct the problem and give us a different room but that room s floor was still just as dirty . In the new room they sprayed a disinfectant spray to mask the smell . I checked in and checked out the same day . Within 3 hours..Most of that time was trying to find an uber or lyft

Nice pool - felt warm, cheerful pool bar staff. A little rowdy but fun. The walk to town is easily doable. Uber was reluctant to come to the hotel though. Really comfortable beds and nice shower. Parking was very easy. Huge, gated lot. Only complaint is there were brief power cuts 2-3 times a day. They lasted seconds but they made everything reset!
