Location, room, amenities, views, and food were great! If you are looking for great customer service, this is not the place. We had dinner, drinks, and breakfast there. Dinner Service and drinks was better than breakfast. Breakfast was slow and just ok. We felt like a bother. The wait Staff sat around and talked. My husband asked for more coffee and the waitress gave him attitude. It could be because she wasn’t our waitress because ours was too busy sitting at the bar drinking her coffee. We were seated right when restaurant opened at breakfast and others who came after us, received their food 1st. We had to get up an ask for our bill. The service overshadowed our stay a bit but the location, views, food, and overall atmosphere made up for it. Worth the stay but don’t expect good service!

We stayed at this hotel last night in Rincón. The property was nice and everything in the room was clean and comfortable. However, there was a very strong food smell throughout the hotel specially in the 2nd floor , which was a bit unpleasant. We didn’t have much interaction with the staff, so we can't comment on the service. Overall, it was a decent stay.

The place is really beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. However, my room's location (room103) was a downside. It was next to a large trash can and the kitchen of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I could smell unpleasant odors from my room, and I could also hear people talking, as well as the noise of heavy items being moved in the kitchen, which woke me up at 6:00 a.m.

We normally stay at another local place we like but this was a holiday weekend so reg place booked- we booked two nights here. The service was excellent. The room was clean. The restaurant had options for my vegetarian diet. We had a second floor room facing the pool and ocean. The ocean is about 60 seconds from the pool. I have read reviews about this not being "ocean front", but if you understand the waves and hurricane risks, you'll understand this is about as close as is safe to have a property. We will definitely be back soon!

We spend two nights here a week ago. We normally stay at a different local place but it was a holiday weekend so this is what was available. IT WAS AMAZING! We will definitely be back. The service, the view, the proximity to the beach (its about a minute walk) is amazing. I'm a vegetarian and they have a lovely arugula and goat cheese salad, and there are several local veg options. It was clean, staff was lovely. Cannot wait to return.

We are spending here only 3 nights and so far it has not been great. First night super loud live music and then more music after that. The restaurant which we are basically sleeping at suppose to be closed at 9:30 but they are playing music way past that. The reason I booked ocean view was to enjoy that, but ocean view here is basically a view of a pool and restaurant. You will be in the literally in right next to a pool that is surrounded by tables that is part of the restaurant. You will be woken up around 7 AM by staff of that restaurant and they are loud. Absolutely nothing relaxing here and we paid close to $300 per night. I wouldn’t spend more than $150 for this experience. The rooms are ok, clean, roomy, mattresses are soft. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, some things are broken but they say they are working on repairing them. The lady we spoke to was very nice but nothing has changed the next night. This is not a place if you want to relax!!! This is not a place if you have children as they will get no sleep. This is for people who want to party. We came here to relax and we are very disappointed and especially after paying $1000 for 3 nights!

The Casa Islena Inn was a great stay. I paid and expected a room with an ocean view. The room had an ocean view, but you had to look past the pool, dinner tables and a wall. The first room would be great for a group looking for the immediate pool and bar located on the first level. I changed the room needless to say without any contestment from Elba, the reservations hostess. Elba was very caring, helpful and accomodating regarding my concerns. The staff was wonderful and the unexpected entertainment was a plus. I will return.

The staff was excellent, but unfortunately the room was disappointing. The bed was comfy but the comforter was dirty (stained) the bathroom didn’t look clean, the soap dispensers were broken. We did get 2 bar soaps from the front desk. The towels had hair on them and there was hair all over the bathroom. On the plus side the food at the restaurant was VERY good! I got the chicken empanadilla and the surf and turf. We also had breakfast the next day which was also very good. (Croissant French toast and fruit) If they take the time to clean the rooms well, add 2 more pillows to the bed and make sure everything is working, it would be 10s across the board. It’s a great location where you can watch people surfing and enjoy the beach. We would stay here again even with the hiccups.

The best food and drinks I had in a long time!!!

Really hard working staff there. Make sure you tip them for their service!!!! And be really thankfull to them. They trully deserve it. This is another level of hotel or inn for someone like me who has stayed in many places around the island. I think we were the only locals around. Most conversations were in English. We were the only crazy couple in the pool with a lot of other people dinning around the pool. Only three beach chairs around the pool. The rest were tables ready for dining. So it felt kind of akward being in the pool. Anyways, just a heads up about what kind of ambient to expect. This is not a bad thing at all. Its just something different and kind of oriented towards more.... "classy" people I guess.

Now for the best this place has to offer: the exclusiveness of the place right at the beach with turtles and surfers in action; THE RESTAURANT!!!!! THE COOK!!! THE WAITERS, THE BARTENDERS, ETC. The quality of the food, cocktails... it was amazing; also the live music and the mood was good. Enough volume to enjoy it but also being able to have a decent conversation with others around me. No Reggeton, thank God!!! Everything modern and clean. Memory foam bed (A+ for that). Only complaints: 1-toilet paper is more like a notebook paper 2- no towel hangers?! Really?? 3- the people smoking in the back of the kitchen (that really annoyed us when we were trying to enjoy the night near the stairs of the pool, both night and morning)

Despite this, we'll be coming back!!!

Staying at the Casa Isleña Inn was a good experience but sadly me and my fiance were upset with a few things:

The manager said that she should we call a technician to fix our TV and that never happened.

2) When I landed in Puerto Rico I was then notified that the restaurant is closed for our stay, this was never stated in advance or on Expedia. What felt pretty upsetting was the restaurant opened up on our last night before going back to NY which was confusing.

3) this is not a quiet place- right next to our room ( near the main window) there were a bunch of people talking and gathering together for the restaurant which limited our privacy. me and my fiance assumed that this Inn was more private.

The property was so beautiful, we walked out from our room and the pool and bar were right there, surrounded by palm trees and the beach just over the fence. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and overall it was a relaxing, peaceful and calming stay. They had a great breakfast and live music at night and it was just a short trip downtown, we would definitely come back!

I'm not sure what people are talking about. Casa Islena is Very Basic place with updated yet tiny rooms, (we peaked in at others after staying in ours 204). Sheets are low quality (rough and pilling pic) so getting in to bed ar night was simply uncomfortable (backaches in the morning). The room is so tiny that there is no place to put ones luggage and travel things. Maybe the bed frame should be raised to use the space for baggage. The room is very dark as in order to have any privacy the shades need to remain closed.
The beach is a rock beach (pic), only sandy in spots and the hotel does not offer a safe beach entrance.
Admittedly the ocean sound was wonderful while sleeping.
Also the staff interactions were mostly positive and kind.
Daily the kitchen vent (pic) would be turned on 7am and pump noise and odor to the adjacent rooms. Good tasting yet basic breakfast for two; eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, juice (from concentrate) about $58 including tip. Cocktails were also a bit high... top-shelf rum and coke $12 (only $8 down the road). Can't charge anything to the room so you always need to have cash or card in hand.
Couldn't wait to leave. We scooted out at 8am!
We checked into a different hotel, only $45 more per night with a king ocean front suite. Lovely beach ⛱️ and pool. As luck would have it we've seen Casa Islena TV advertisements during our other stay. Sèe pic below.. we had to laugh.

As surfers from Maine, we loved being right on the beach, so we could put our boards in right there. The staff was awesome. Love the pool area and bar.
Downside, our room (#103) was kind of noisy being next to the kitchen. We also didn't have hot water in the mornings around 8am. We did have hot water later in the morning or afternoon. All in all, we would definitely consider staying there again.

Casa Isleña is a unique place by the Ocean view in Rincón. Very raw area no mayor hotels. Amenities includes a nice pool and restaurant in site. Our room was in the first floor by the pool and bar. We got there at night with the help of google maps w a rental car. No transportation available. Public parking on site. The restaurant is busy on Fri & Sat but done by 9pm w a nice brunch for breakfast. Rincon is a beautiful and unique town in PR.

What can I say about the beautiful place...

Casa Isleña was a great introduction to Puerto Rico.

Pros: the service! From the food service, wait staff, to the office staff -- everyone was kind, helpful, and made us feel so cared for and taken care of during our stay.

Next up would be the absolutely stunning beach. The hotel is situated on Sandy Beach, which is best known for its great surfing conditions. The beach is so naturally luscious and the sunrise and sunset, breathtaking!

The food! Every single dish we had here was delicious! Our favorite was the shrimp scampi pasta... which admittedly we had three times because it was just so good. Drinks are expensive, but boozy so worth the money!

Cons: I would not recommend this hotel to families with young children 1) because it is incredibly noisy. The walls are very thin and from the nightly music and daytime DJ-ing, you will not easily be able to nap or rest in the room during the day through early evening. 2) Sandy Beach is not swimmer friendly and there are no lifeguards. We witnessed several children and two adults almost drown on our first day there. Be careful!

The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows lent no support which led to neck and back pain and a hard time sleeping through the night.

Depending on which room you get, it may be very updated or in need of some TLC. We stayed the majority of our stay in room 104 which was in the process of much-needed updating. However, our last evening we stayed in 101 which was beautifully accommodated.

What a charming little spot on the beach. The views were lovely, the rooms were very comfortable, and the pool was great. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Sadly we had to check out early due to deaths in the family, however they made accommodations so we could have dinner even though they were closing, room was clean and we felt very secured and private, check out was simplified so we didn’t have to return to do it in person, I highly recommend them and look forward to booking with them in the near future.
