Spacious room, clean and tidy. Towels changed after 3 days. Good quality pool towels (pay deposit). Friendly staff, nice pool bar, with bar snacks. Nice pool area with ample sunbeds. Two pools plus kid's pool and playground. Separate bar with music open in the evening.

It’s an older building so don’t expect it to be spotless! It was walking distance to restaurants and ocean but quite a walk to sand beach. There’s a handy grocery store on sight which was great! Also a couple games tables and volley ball court, nice heated pools and snack bar. The burgers and chips were great. I’d recommend it but get a balcony with sun!

The first room we was given on check in on the ground floor was adjacent to the hotels sewage treatment facility & our room had many mosquitoes! We immediately went to reception & told them we didn’t like the room !! They said we could change if we paid an extra 176€ (22€ a night)
The replacement room had a sea view & the bed was reasonably comfortable but the other furniture was not.

Definitely not 3*. Rooms aren’t cleaned, dust everywhere, no towel or bedding changes, overflowing bins around the grounds, watch out for cleaning staff throwing bags of rubbish/linen over the balconies!
Very tired complex in need of a lot of attention, cracked floor tiles, shower head hanging off the wall, rusty metal work mirrors etc, poles in balcony barrier fell out, broken pool lights and water features, vending machines all broken. Rude receptionist, had to argue to be given 1 extra toilet roll. Barman was great but drinks are clearly watered down.

Room was good and clean with a comfortable bed . Kitchen not very well supplied with no bottle opener or small knifes for chopping fruit.
The outdoor areas really need retiling as there were lots of broken bits of floor tiles.
The pool had a bad mix of salt and chlorine.
As my first swim stripped all my silver jewelery and left them tarnished and black. So i didnt use the pool again.
Fantastic beaches easily reached by very frequant buses.

Last minute trip

The hotel is quite dated in areas. The seaview room I had was comfortable and had everything I needed.
Unfortunately, you can't check-in until 5pm, but the nice man on reception let me put my case in the storage room, told me I could change if I wanted to.
As I wasn't leaving until 6pm, I enquired about keeping my room so I could shower/pack etc, but was told that I could keep it just for 2-3 hours. There really was no point, as I planned on relaxing around the pool till 4, then showering etc. Then, unbelievably the charge would have been more So if I had have kept it on, it would've cost me more to have it for 3 hours, than it was to stay per day

I just had one minor issue with ants but on reporting the matter to Reception they sent someone to my apartment to resolve the problem. Although the spray provided did not eradicate them permanent I bought “Ant Bait Traps” in the supermarket which resolved the issue.

Hotel pool and bar very nice, reception is well maintained.
Bathroom have been renovated and showers are excellent. Rooms are excellent for self catering and plenty of supplies.

However be aware there is no cleaning. But cleaning supplies provided, once you are aware all is well, you get what you pay for and price is great and location is great

Diamond of a hotel at a good price. Lovely pool area, fab sea views, great little friendly bar, supermarket on site who make pizzas for €4.50, the most comfortable queen bed I’ve slept in, new fluffy towels, fab rainfall shower, basic room but all you need. Will be back.

Another happy fortnight.

We've stayed at the Bristol Playa many times over many years and still find it very good value for money. Huge beds, lovely showers, good location, good facilities.
Some people criticise the provision of towels and frequency of cleaning, but it doesn't bother us.

Disappointing Stay with Poor Service and Cleanlin

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable—there were hairs everywhere, and it was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The tiles in the room were wobbly, which felt unsafe and unprofessional.

I had specifically requested one large bed (a king or queen bed), but instead, I was given two separate beds, which was inconvenient and not what I booked. On top of that, the check-in process was extremely slow. It took 30 minutes to check in because the receptionist was very unorganized and inefficient.

Additionally, the check-in time of 5:00 PM is far too late, leaving little time to settle in and enjoy the stay. To make matters worse, I tried calling the hotel earlier to discuss my booking, but no one picked up the phone, making it impossible to address any issues in advance.

Overall, the service, communication, and cleanliness were far below the standard I expect, and I hope these issues are resolved for future guests.

I had a very bad experience with this hotel in first instance they have assigned a room which was unsellable just opposite the back kitchen of the pool bar with all the dirty and waste around. To change the room they have charged me 90€ which I felt robbed. The receptionist Gloria and her manager were very rude and also they haven’t even let me talked with the property manager! The experience was so frustrating and disappointed which I made the decision to not come back anymore in this hotel! They haven’t even apologised were so rude the girls at the reception! Disgusting!

If your intention is to chill and have peaceful evenings and nights. Then this place is NOT for you. Karaoke on almost every night/ every other night and goes on until 12:00/01:00am !!
Oh and the walls are so thin, so when the drunk neighbour next door waddles back, you WILL hear and feel everything !! Luckily my baby is a heavy sleeper, otherwise I would have had to leave this place. However, just not the one when you’re knackered and just want to rest/ sit out in the patio in PEACE.
In terms of convenience, was provided a single bed for my baby, which is so high it was SO unsafe for a baby to sleep in. Our baby had to sleep with us to avoid her rolling off.
There is NO air con, although reception does provide fans for an extra cost, so be prepared for a OVEN hot room when entering after a long day out, don’t forget to close your windows, otherwise the cockroaches welcome themselves in :).
The swimming pool is lovely, 2 separate swimming pools, different in depths which is nice if you like to swim in peace, and a cute paddle pool for the little one.
This hotel stating its self catering and then offering a mini fridge that can barely fit in a bottle of water and milk is a joke. The cooker, again so tiny, its uncomfortable to cook or do anything in the kitchen as its just stupid small.
Overall wasn’t the worst, but wouldn’t visit again unfortunately. The location is lovely however, so if you’re up for the karaoke and mini bar every night, this place is for you.

And Evening bar with entertainment on.
The restaurant was refurbished but has since closed.
It just received a lot of new sunbeds as a lot of the old ones are broken.

Ants in kitchen. Cheap mattresses, cheap furniture. Old kitchen which looks a mess. Just overall needs a reverb to be competitive with other hotels. However the Bathrooms are nice.
Asked for us to move rooms, but took over 18hrs to find us another room, in the mean time the ants were all in our food we purchased. Not good and no reimbursement for this issue from the hotel.

Had potential but let down by a couple of things

We enjoyed our weekend stay here. Sadly, a few slight things let it down.

Firstly, the negatives. Our room smelled strongly of cigerettes. As non smokers, this was quite off putting.

A very late check in of 5pm was a little inconvenient but there was a place to store our luggage.

The electrics were dodgy. Some of the lights wouldnt turn off and some would flicker and trip.

Lots of positives though. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean and quiet too.

Location wise, it's a little walk from the centre but very quiet and our room has lovely views over the ocean.

We enjoyed some live music in the bar on Saturday evening.

We would definitely stay again in the future though.

The flat was ok , apart from large crack in wall on balcony, palm trees in front of balcony needed a trim. The choice of TV channels was really poor for English soeakers, plus the remote didnt work. Walk to accomodation not great made wirse when coming back from town ,the road ended up underneath our flat but the gates were always closed si you had walk all the way round to the reception to gain entry. Limited cooking ,2 rings 2 pans and a microwave.

Great views from the balcony. Helpful reception staff. Great evening bar with friendly and entertaining staff who made it a great experience! Pool is very busy and the fight for sun beds is ridiculous in August. Not enough space for the amount of guests so I didn’t bother with the pool.
The pool bar is good but the next morning it was still scruffy and not clean so only went once.
No cleans or fresh towels during the stay.

If sitting around the pool with other tourists sunning yourself to a crisp and drinking all day is your thing, then you’ll love it here.
Could be quite charming, however the hotel is largely tired, musty smelling, and lacking charm.
Good shower, large towels. Stovetop didn’t work. Hidden fine print with an expectation to clean on departure or potentially incur $150 fee.

Hotel was clean,check-in was easy(we were lucky checked in early).Beds were comfortable with plenty of bed linen(blankets if needed).No problem with Wifi but TV was in/out (not many English speaking channels).About 10 mins walk to strip (bars/restaurants).Only minus is if your round the back of hotel at least 5 mins walk to get out of hotel (Maybe a lockable gate/entrance at the back for these guests).

Negs: Rooms are tired and need modernisation. No room cleaning service for holiday duration (7 nights), fresh towels and extra toilet rolls (only 2 are given) are chargeable.

The staff are always helpful, but the hotel has changed their amenities inside the rooms., they have removed the sofa/sofa bed in most rooms and put a double bed in place of it., not everyone wants to go out all day, so their comfort is limited to lying on a bed to ‘relax’ and watch tv(?) -

Also, the area around hotel could do with updating or even just tidying-up, it looked a wee bit tired! - another thing…. What is the difference between the superior and premier rooms???? Nothing….. but price., paid for a premier but there was no difference….

Will probably try a different hotel next time, very disappointed with this visit., have stayed there many times, but not impressed this time.

It's right by the sea...which is good. It can be very windy there though. The so-called self catering facilities were pretty poor - 2 pans (which hardly fit on the 2 ring hob at the same time), a colander, a bread knife (blunt), crockery (no dishes/bowls, just plates, glasses & cups), and cutlery.
However, I managed, after buying a few bits and bobs (a new sharp knife and chopping board was essential). There was a kettle, microwave and a pretty filthy toaster!
There was a bed in the living room, as well as one in the bedroom...not the best for sitting on to watch the one UK channel available (BBC News). The Marismas Hotel (where I stayed earlier on this visit) was much better than this hotel.

Overall, good value. The rooms were comfortable. Hotel was quiet and well maintained. No a/c but wasn’t a problem at all with windows open. Staff at reception were very helpful and Danny the bartender does a very good job. Only downside was (probably due to Covid?), there is no restaurant and the bar opens quite late in the morning. Would have liked to at least be able to get a good coffee before 10ish when the bar opens. I would certainly stay there again if I went back to Fuerteventura.

I was quite disappointed with the property as there was no sun on our balcony and the rooms were quite stark. The sofa was uncomfortable. The bed was very comfortable though and the bathroom and shower was nice. It just felt cold. Like an empty room. The cleaner was lovely. The staff I felt could be a bit more personable and in the face of adversity made us feel quite panicked. They started to shut down the hotel around us stacking all the furniture up in the grounds and there was red tape all around the pool. I understand the circumstances but it was just scary. They found us another hotel which was much nicer we were greeted in a much calmer manner and it all seemed normal there and the apartment was more like we were on holiday not in a disaster zone. If we had more money we would have changed hotel so we could at least enjoy being stuck in our hotel when in lock down.

Excellent location with views over the sea from front of property. Unfortunately unable to upgrade to sea or pool view as none available. Would try to book these type earlier next time.
Prompt check in; apartments clean and perfectly adequate . No air con but not needed in February.Towel change only 3 times weekly.
Would have been good if we could have hired swim towels to save us having to pack them.

This was or 2nd visit this year. The complex is very clean and well looked after. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for them. The pool was manned at all times and Danny and his wife Lidia who have the pool bar, made everyone so welcome the food there was fantastic.
Infact we love it there and have booked for Nov 2020 for 5 weeks.

Negatives- We booked a double room with king size bed, which we did not get. After being told what days the maid will come at check-in, the maid did not come and turned up very early on the day we were told they would not be coming. And when they did come they did the bare minimum and didn't wash up, which would have been fine if we had a tea towel or washing up equipment, but we did not have this provided.The rooms are dated and have no air-con. The hotel is next to a main road meaning it is very noisy, but if the room is hot overnight having the window open makes it impossible to sleep because its so noisy. You have to pay to use the safe in the room and the bins outside were not emptied and were overflowing and smelt awful. The breakfast is very bad, would recommend having it elsewhere.

Positives- We were able to check in early which was a bonus and the staff were very friendly and explained the area and hotel well. The pool was lovely but overall would not go here again.

Unfortunately I would not return to this hotel.
Although the grounds and pool area were lovely there were far too many rules. If you were hoping to have fun in the pool - jumping in, inflatables, balls or even the use a inflatable jacket for your child IT is not allowed. The sun comes up early but beds are locked and no pool use until 10am.
They have a hotel bar open until 2am but you can't be too loud.!
Rooms were basic no air con which was fine for me.
I didn't use pool bar but prices were reasonable.
Reception staff were helpful.
7 min walk into town once you know the quickest route. Some fantastic restaurants and bars. Find the 1€ beer on the seafront which also does amazing platter offers.
We hired a car for a few days, El cotillo beach and the sand dunes definitely worth a visit.
Overall we enjoyed fuerteventura but would not return to this hotel.

Second time I’ve stated at the Hesperia Bristol and find the staff helpful and premises very welcoming.

We paid 30 euros to stay later in our accommodation which was worth it.

The bar area could do with a recondition as it’s not comfortable or up to date in decor.

The pool side bar staff are fabulous and met our every need.

The location is decent too and not to far from amenities.

Friendly and efficient - furniture in apartment could do with upgrade but then I think this is only rated 2-3 star so not bad in that context. We had a complaint about ants sharing the accommodation and this was dealt with very promptly and effectively. Pool and Pool Bar are magnificent. Very good location - right next to the shore, good views and only 10 minutes walk to a multitude of good bars and restaurants.

Our main objective always is to have a sea view when we are on holidays. This one was different but we have no complaints, it quite grew on us. We ended up upgrading to the Honeymoon Suite, on arrival, mainly so that we could be on the top floor. We like to prepare some of our meals in-house and found the galley kitchen a challenge however we were able to have coffee and a decent breakfast which was positive. The small on-site supermarket offered a great deal of variety for anyone not wanting to explore the city. There are many huge supermarkets within a short walk of the hotel.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful answering any of our questions.

We had a sea view apartment with a gorgeous view of Lanzarote. Had requested a 2nd floor and quiet apartment and that is what we got. The full breakfast buffet was a bargain with a large hot and cold selection.
We are not sun worshippers but the pool looked fine but being January no one went in the water.
All the staff were friendly and courteous.
The hotels position is ideal, being on the quiet shoreline but only 10 minutes walk to the harbour and restaurants.

The only downside was the mosquitoes which got in the room. This is obviously not a failing of the hotel. About 5 minutes walk there is a large supermarket where we got a spray can.

OK below 50€/night but not more

First of i would like to say that my stay at Hesperia started of with problems as the room i was assigned was not what i booked.In the end it was resolved with the help of Hotels customer service. This is a review of the PREMIUM apartments. The \"best\" they have in the complex

Positives:
- rooms are spacious
- view is nice but only few rooms have unobstructed view to the ocean. Hotel might try to force an obstructed view on you like it happened to me
- bathrooms are refurbished
- furniture although plywood ikea style is new and it helps.2 big TVs

Negatives
-only bathrooms were properly refurbished.The rest of the apartment was just painted over.
-room doors were old and need replacing. Wide cracks through which wind comes thru at night. Door also slams in the wind. We had to put a chair close to it on windy nights to be able to sleep as it kept banging on back and forth even when locked.
-room ceiling had obvious water infiltrations
-not enough light in the appartment.The entire livingroom had just 1 dim night lamp on one of the walls
-windows had corroded locks that made them unsafe or unusable
-cleaning staff, although comes in daily, only replaced towels.Never during our stay was the floor mopped.
-please see attached photo with the resort plan. Only what is to the right of the reception, sections H and G and on 1st or 2nd floor has view to the ocean. Everything else has obstructed view
-sunbeds by the pool ocupied since earl morning

Nice hotel; however, I encountered two problems which made me rather unsatisfied with my stay.
1) I reserved a room with the option for 1 full or 2 twin beds. Upon check in I was only offered a room with 1 full bed. I asked for a room with 2 beds and was told that none were available but that they would bring me a rolling bed for the room. Fine. However, they did not bring a rolling bed. Instead they brought bedding and made up the couch. Whatever. But that is not what I paid for.
2) The wifi signal was terrible. Only worked 50% of the time and only at 10-20% strength.

We had a two bedroom sea view apartment and it was clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom relatively new and excellent rainfall shower. The grounds are very well cared for and the staff are lovely. The resort is quiet and relaxing. We would stay here again.

However, I dropped one star because of housekeeping. We were there eleven nights and our beds were made only once when the sheets were changed. Towels were not changed often enough resulting in permanently damp towels even though we did try to dry them ourselves. Even if you book double beds as we did, be aware they are simply single beds, made up as single beds, pushed together.

The hotel says that the kitchens are fully equipped. They are not. This didn’t bother us at all as we eat out but if you’re thinking of catering for a family, you need to check this first. In our apartment there was not even the basics - no kettle (although one appeared very quickly when we asked), no toaster, no oven. You have two electric cooking rings, fridge and small microwave. We had one saucepan and one frying pan, a few plates, four cups and four tiny bowls. No dishes to use in the microwave or to put food in, four small little tumbler glasses, One very small, very blunt knife. A cork screw but no wine glasses. No chopping boards. Not even a tea towel.

The pool bar produces some nice food if you don’t want to go into town one night.

The supermarket was impressive and sold most things you might want. Very friendly staff.

We were self catering and this apartment met our needs apart from lack of air conditioning but you get what you pay for. However they are clean. Staff very helpful and frendly. Plwnty of sun beds. Supermarket on site not expensive. If you have mobility issues tell them.on booking. We had a 2nd floor room up 3 flights of outside stairs. No lifts. Only downsides. 1. The noise at night from the main road as our bedroom faced onto it and as no air conditioning we had to keep the window open. 2. You have to walk through built up residential area to get to town about 15 mins away. Ok during day. A bit intimidating at night. 3. One entrance and exit from complex adding to the walk. Access to the gates onto back of complex are for staff only.

Enjoyed our stay at this accommodation and would return although a few improvements are needed. The outside areas between apartments and the walkways need to be swept/cleaned more often and the windows in our apartment were in desperate need of a clean. Just feel that there were issues with the team of cleaners/maintenance staff and needs to be addressed.

Very beautiful surroundings. Hotel was average. We stayed in a self catering apartment. When we got there all the cooking utensils were dirty. The rooms themselves are nice. The beds are quite comfortable. Reception were always helpful. However, when I rang the reception 1 hour after I checked out to reclaim money I accidentally left behind me in the room in one of the drawers, I was simply told there's none there. That was it. We both knew we left it there. Our responsibly obviously but the insincerity and hostility on the phone was quite out of character for the seemingly welcoming hotel. Overall the hotel is situated in a lovely area.

It was a nice place to stay, although because you are right on the point of the island you did experience more wind. It was clean and you had a maid service 5 days out of the 7 which I didn't expect with self catering.
didn't use the on site buffet and pool bar as prefer to walk and experience the local cuisine.

The hotel is located about a 10minute walk to the town centre by the harbour in a quiet area. The hotel itself is dated and could do with bringing up to modern standards. For the most part the staff were helpful although the head housekeeper saw us with a cusion outside our apartment, gave us a dressing down and the scurried off to drag the hotel manager to speak to us who threatened to charge for any damage to said cusion. It was pointed out to him the cusion was already in a poor state of repair but he threatened to charge us for a new one. Our apartment was right out the back facing to the sea but we had a constant stream of workmen working in an area right outside our apartment every day as it was close to an underground storage area for their materials. All in all it was a dissapointing stay.

Brilliant front of house staff nothing too much trouble - decor in some apartments is supposed to be shabby chic but it just looks a bit cheap - in alternative apps they have painted furniture a crisp white and green and this is a much cleaner brighter finish. All apartments though are comfortable with crockery and utensils in good condition flat screen tv with 4 english channels. Pool area is lovely plenty sun beds and in decent condition. Dining area old fashioned and could do with some bright new windows - paint is peeling. Food average Spanish breakfast although you can buy a full english at poolside snack bar for 6 euros. Location is brilliant on seafront with a 10min walk into old town. Brilliant Spanish restaurant next street over from hotel Aveneda food and prices both excellent but be sure to get there early as people travel for miles to eat there. Would I return to this hotel Definately yes.

Very much enjoyed having a room with a sea view, it was a shame that the balcony received no sun.
As the temperature at this time of year is lower, the room was at times chilly.

Although our room was cleaned regularly, the bedroom floor had accumulated a pile of fluff behind the door that was never cleaned.

The reception was horrible. Not friendly or informative. The last thing after a long flight you want to do is fight with a rule receptionist. This set the standard for my stay at this hotel. in addition, the breakfast was not editable. A huge waste of 8 euro.

Helpful and very friendly staff. We asked to change our room as we didn’t like the ground floor and they were very obliging. It’s fine there with a shop and launderette on site . The only problem is the position of the hotel in the windiest part of Corralejo and as the weather wasn’t too good we were very chilly in our room.

Really nice simple snacks from the pool bar with a great traditional UK breakfast for 6 euro.

When we arrived it seemed comfortable, the room is spacious and has all we need. At night we checked the bed and the sheets have holes on it, not just one the two of them. They don´t change or give soap every day, they give you one super small set when you arrive and that´s all. We stayed there 7 nights, and not again they gave us personal care products. The cleaning also was not acceptable, they say they clean up almost everyday, but when we returned to our room the floor was dirty. I thing they say we clean up just to make your bed.

One final recommendation don't use the hotel restaurant, it is totally horrible. The food its so plastic, they don't have variety, and the taste,,, very bad. You have plenty of options in the near and in the island the food is totally delicious, don´t understand why is the food so bad in this hotel. Anyway, that´s my opinion.

More than expected for basic hotel.

Room / apartament is more than enough for two with enough storage. Lounge with patio could hold quite a party with all tables and chairs. Bathroom with shower only but good powerful one. Kitchen part is very compact but has all you need. WiFi was available everywhere in hotel and fast. Pool was just pretty as pictured, clean and tidy. Pool bar offers good variety of drinks and good food (we had burgers). There is big shop within hotel open late with just anything you may need from grocery and drinks to souvenirs and swimsuit. Evening drink bar open till 1am or as long as you stay. Restaurant has buffet based menu, choice is bit short but we always found something new. We recommend B&B option and buy dinner when you not fancy going out. Choice of restaurants within walk distance is just overwhelming. Hotel is located and the very north end of the island but that's good when you like quiet nights and still just few minutes walk to town and harbour. There is equipped gym and you can even rent a bike from hotel. Everything else is in town with abundance. Very happy holiday.
