We are grateful that their staffs from front desk to customer support are friendly and readily accessible.

They went the extra miles to help me to change my duplicate bookings (double bookings on the same date) , when Expdedia says no and for last minute cancellation there will have zero refund. Ithey really save my day.

The room was ok, the fridge wasn't on so not cold for us to store water or food overnight. There was only a soap dispenser in the shower cubicle so a little awkward when washing hands after using the toilet. Two shower towels but no hand towel. The shower was lovely and hot but the position of the spray head meant it sprayed across the floor. The staff were efficient but not particularly welcoming on our arrival - not rude but the first interaction was 'passports please ' not 'hello , welcome etc..'

Stayed in a Superior Room with Twin beds. Served by a Malay male staff who do not seem to welcome guests. Originally was given a room with aircond water splashed upon switching it on and loud motor noise. After requested, changed us to a corner room which smells upon opening three room and it is obviously smaller size. Both rooms are at level 3. We asked if there are rooms at level 2 and was given one that's cleaned properly with refreshing smell and aircond seems new and it is quiet.
The Hotel actually NO Longer provides bottled water, you can bring your bottle to refill at level 1 dispenser. In room provides one 3pin socket near bed and another one at study table along with two USB. Tooth brush & paste are provided but you need to bring in your coffee cup if you need a tumbler. May want to bring a small piece of soap or own handwash as there's no soap dispenser at basin area to save inconvenience of stepping in out the shower cubical just to use their all in one wash. Bed is of good support but pillow will sink after free hours of sleep, do ask for extra as base support.

Rooms are fairly small and little worn but everything work and bed was very comfortable. Local area has number of historical building being restored and has good range of food and coffee options and a number of massage/reflexology places. Hotel will keep luggage after you check out which is helpful if have late flight

The main reason for my stay was an early flights the next day. Great location with lots of restaurants and shops around. Also only15-20min from the airport if you are taking a taxi/Grab. I decided to go with public transit, which involves a bus to MRT transfer (or you can walk 20 min). It took around 1 hour total door to door.

The hotel itself was fine for a night. I don’t mind staying in windowless rooms, but there needs to be good lighting in the room, which was not the case. The bathroom had one very small light that made almost no difference. I also found the mattress to be very hard and would have found it difficult to sleep on it more than 1-2 nights.

Overall, i would stay again as the price was worth its proximity to the airport and the Joo Chiat neighborhood was quite nice.

Joo Chiat road is in the Katong neighborhood and a part of Perankan culture. Don't forget to visit the Peranakan mansion down the street. the bus syrem and trains in Singapore make it easy to get around. We visited Gardens bg the bay, little India, Orchard Road and the Night Safari (Mandai- Singapore Zoo) using public transportation.

The area is nice. Room size and facilities OK. Shower head made splashes water that wet outside the shower area and there was no way to control the water flow. No power point near bed so cannot have phone near bed when charging. Clothes hanger cannot be used to hang elsewhere more convenient. Next door opening and closing was pretty loud. Otherwise, clean and bed comfortable.

Great budget hotel

Check-in was quick and pleasant. The room floor was free of dust, and the room smells clean. The bathroom was also impressively clean, and there were 4 fluffy bath towels. The shower head looked brand new and the hot water setting worked great. I appreciate the complementary instant coffee and tea bags, as well as the nice size hair dryer. I am very pleased with my stay.

I found this hotel to be a reasonable budget hotel. It is very clean and well managed. The Staff was very helpful and nice. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is located conveniently near a bus stop that also stops at the MRT stations as it winds its way through town. We stayed 7 days. I would highly recommend it for budget travelers.

The male non chinese staff REFUSED to redirect my phoen call to the room

He INSISTED anyone should call the guest directly on their hp. Literally only hotel ive ever heard to do this. He claimed he could NOT transfer calls to the room due to privacy. Excuse me how would i even know guest room and name that u double checked with me??

Staff behave really badly this trip round

I felt bad cos recommended the hotel as like the beds etc and previous chinese male was nice.

Late one night when returned to room key would not work staff insisted try again and still it failed due to battery THEN they finally walked up to help open door. That was the same night I called room and the male staff was sooo unhelpful when I called wondering what was the delay.
Thank god my cousin had help cos she was with a 2yo child but hotel staff doesnt care

smoke breaks are also taken infront of hotel in uniform...

The car park is stacked with debris that no one has bothered to stack neatly to free up the spot. Could be much better managed but no one cares.

The hard product is okay and what one would expect of a budget Ibis, perfectly fine for a brief overnight.

However when a very basic booking scenario arose and Hotels.com attempted to both phone and email this Hotel manager over an extended period, they were incapable of replying, in any capacity, to these communications.

It’s very strange how somebody so lazy, slow and work-shy could remain employed at all, but for this person to occupy a management position discloses some level of nepotism being active in that hotel.

Eventually Hotel.com and myself came to a solution and resolved the situation.

I have lodged a formal complaint with Ibis about this clown show of a hotel.
