No flexibility for early arrival - staff only present for breakfast and small check in window- out of hours felt very alone - Entrance from street locked no phone number to call a person and odd online check in - awkward..not recommended for anyone traveling solo. Clean room and nice breakfast within walking distance of the city, more air b&b than hotel.

Great location to train station and center of city within walking distance. Service is minimal. Challenging if staying over 3 nights. No towel change, no room keys. It’s a basic hotel and WI FI connection is good.

Das Wichtigste zuerst...

Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen. Dafür gab es zwei Gründe, das Hotel befindet sich in einem Innenhof, d.h. kein Verkehrslärm. Und zweitens roch die Bettwäsche sehr angenehm. Ein weiteres Plus ist das keyless PIN System für den Zutritt, sowie Youtube im TV. Positiv überrascht war ich auch von dem Frühstück, das liebevoll angeboten wurde. Noch ein Tipp: Die Zimmer im Nebengebäude haben eine kleine Terrasse.

A great little hotel

Fantastic little hotel at Steintor! Very nice staff provides excellent, friendly service. The location is great for getting around Hanover and it is an easy 10 minute walk to/from the Hauptbahnhof. I will stay here again the next time I am in Hanover and I highly recommend it!

The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are on the smaller side but they are clean, very modern and the staff is extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The breakfast at the hotel was amazing, an unbelievable selection and great service.

Conveniently located from central train station, on major street. Room faces onto inner courtyard so it's quiet. Small room nicely furnished and very clean. No A/C, which was not great during a heat wave, but the 2 huge windows could be opened for a nice breeze.

Overnight stay

My partner and I stayed here for one night while in Hannover, we arrived a little early so left our bags and went for a walk. Our bags were just left in the lobby there didn't seem to be a dedicated storage for bags, but we had a few and they were big. I suspect if they were smaller they'd have been moved somewhere behind the reception desk or to our room. I was a little wary of leaving them there but all was good when we came back hours later.
I have coeliac disease and told the hotel this when booking; when checking in they had a note on the booking and at breakfast had gluten free bread waiting for me. There was a lot of selection for breakfast, mostly continental but there was some bacon, sausages and scrambled egg. However, the bacon and sausage were sat on bread slices, presumably to soak up the grease but this meant I couldn't eat it.
The room was loverly! And the hotel definitely lived up to its name - every detail had been 'designed.' Kingsize bed, big bath, big tv.
Overall very happy with our stay here.

Convenient and clean hotel

Slightly tucked away but friendly staff, good clean room and reasonable breakfast. Would stay again as is very central and convenient for the the city centre

Would happily return

Design Hotel Wigan is a simple, modern hotel within easy reach of the station. My room had TV, tablet, a good selection of hot drinks and very comfortable bed.

Good value

€75 euros a night, small room but comfortable bed, great location, helpful staff, very clean. Pillows way too big - but \"they are working on this\". Great value really.

Nice hotel and staff!

Nice hotel close to the center, it is also surrounded by very nice convenience stores and local restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. It provides a private parking space next to the hotel.

The hotel was nice, no elevator though.Luckily we did not have many suitcases. The service was not very good though. My husband fell in the shower and broke the glass door. He came out with minor injuries and a swollen ankle. The manager never approached us to see how he was doing and than had the audacity to have his employee tell us when we checked out that we are to pay for the shower door, $1000. When I asked to talk to the manager, the employee said he was at a different hotel today. How convenient for him. We left a contact number for him to call and he never did. The employee did a great job covering for the manager. Would not recommend this place due to the manager.

Das Frühstück war gut und es gab genügend Auswahl. Die Parkmöglichkeit in der Tiefgarage fand ich besonders gut.
Ich habe im Zimmer 14 übernachtet. Geduscht wir in einer Badewanne, was ok ist. Was beachtet werden sollte, dass ein Haltegriff angebracht werden sollte, da doch ein hohes Risiko durch Ausrutschen besteht.

skulle kun overnatte én nat på gennemrejse, og værelset var allerede betalt på forhånd. Alligevel oplevede vi en utrolig dårlig service. Vi kunne ikke få adgang til Meldeschein via QR-koden og ringede derfor til hotellet for hjælp sent om aftenen.

Personalet i telefonen var nedladende, ubehøvlet og fik os til at føle os som idioter. En medarbejder lagde simpelthen røret på, og en anden oplyste kun dørkoden –vi måtte selv ‘gætte’, hvilken nøgleboks der hørte til vores værelse Først efter tredje opkald, hvor min mand talte med en mere serviceminded person, fik vi værelsesnummeret.

Das Frühstück ist richtig super, Zimmer sehr sauber, freundliche Einrichtung, das Bett sehr bequem. Lediglich das Bad ist etwas eng, war aber für mich völlig ok. Bei 38 Grad hab ich mich am meisten über die Flasche Wasser im Zimmer und die Klimaanlage gefreut.

Kleines, aber feines und sehr sauberes Hotel in guter Lage (Restaurants und Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe). Dennoch ruhig und die Zimmer sind ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Das Frühstück ist vielfältig und richtig lecker. Das Personal ist freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Das Zimmer war sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, aber für eine Nacht ok. Die Lage ist praktisch. Das Frühstück war lecker mit einer sehr guten Auswahl. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut, trotzdem würde ich beim nächsten Besuch in Hannover ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral an der Innenstadt und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer hat Klimaanlage, was insbesondere im heißen Sommer hilfreich ist.
Das Fühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut und sehr lecker. Sehr schöne Brötchen, gutes Müsli und ein exzellentes Rührei. Das gibt es nicht überall. Beim nächsten Mal bringe ich mehr Hunger mit.

Etwas unpersönlich, aber zentral

Das Hotel ist angenehm zentral gelegen, mit einigen Restaurants in der Nähe. Ich war in einem der neueren Zimmer. Passt soweit alles, mit Design hat das aber nicht viel zu tun. Schwer zu sagen, weshalb sich das Hotel so nennt. Der Self-Check-in ab 14:30 Uhr ist ein bisschen nervig und auch unpersönlich. Es gibt keine richtige Lobby. Das WLAN war in meinem Gebäudeteil leider zu schwach.

Praktisches Hotel für kurzfristige Übernachtungen in der Hannoveraner Innenstadt.
Sauber und relativ günstig.
Der personallose Online Check In hat mit Buchung über Expedia funktioniert. Mit HRS funktioniert es beispielsweise nicht ohne Rückruf bei der Hotline.
Der Name Design Hotel ist irreführend. Außer der Fokus liegt auf Funktionalität und Schlichtheit. Was im Zimmer wirklich fehlt für Aufenthalte z.B. über mehrere Tage ist ein kleiner Safe wie er woanders Standard ist. Auch hört man im Hotel regelmäßig ein Rauschen. Vielleicht die U-Bahn.

Sonst alles gut. Für Kurzaufenthalte optimal.

Personalen är mycket trevlig. Frukosten är mycket bra för ett litet hotell.
Det som är lite nackdel är att det saknas hiss. Andra gången vi bor här och kommer nog bli fler gånger.

Ich habe das Hotel zum zweiten Mal für eine Dienstreise gebucht. Die Dusche hat geschimmelt und die Halterung für den Duschkopf war defekt.
Außerdem war das Hotel zum wiederholten Male nicht dazu in der Lage eine korrekte Rechnung auszustellen, sodass ich trotz Zahlungsnachweis auf einem Teil meiner Kosten sitze bleiben! Das war wirklich das letzte Mal!

Ich hatte eine Business Suite gebucht, ich hatte mir mehr versprochen, es hätte auch ein Standard Zimmer sein können. Ansonsten war alles super, Betten waren klasse, Frühstück war auch sehr reichlich und gut, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt war alles okay. Meinen Aufenthalt im Hotel hatte ich wegen dem Fortbildungsort ausgesucht, der für mich gut zu erreichen war für mich. Komme wieder.
