TV- Subtitles in German only No instructions on TV or in room in English. Even the spa brochure in the room was in German. Called reception, but was told they didn’t know if or how to change it!

We stayed there for 13 nights and all days it was exactly the same menu
For vegetarians it was straight potato hash and beans for 13 days
Ofcourse milk muesli breads were there
For Indians hardly any options
I had put in so many special requests but none of these were catered to.

Great room, friendly staff.

Great breakfast altho a bit pricy. The room was spacious and modern. I wish housekeeping would actually come around noon versus the earlier morning schedule, as jet lag pushed my schedule back a bit. The sign they left said they would come back later but never did… (happened 4 out of the 6 days).

Over-priced middle-of-the-road experience

All in all I'd say staying at the Crowne Plaza was a middle-of-the-road kind of experience. There was nothing particularly wrong with this soulless business hotel, but it didn't stun us in any way either. The rooms were clean and the mattress was of a high standard. The bathroom, on the other hand, was beginning to show its age: no working extractor fan, no eco-flush, mouldy grout between wall tiles, some cracks along the edges of trimmings etc. The selection of English-language TV channels was rather poor, not to mention that the listing of channel numbers was in need of an update. For the price I would have expected more.

The room was OK, but it faced a bar and there was no warning about it ––not on Expedia, and I wasn't warned upon check-in either. Loud music and above all VERY LOUD conversations could be heard until 3 am. I did NOT sleep at all. Upon check-out, the staff told me that they should have blocked those rooms (duh!) and that the noise was unexpected (REALLY?! NOISE from a BAR is UNEXPECTED?!)

NEVER AGAIN.

This is one of the better Crowne Plazas I have stayed in. Well above US standards, excellent service, except for one girl receptionist with curly hair who was snoddy.

I avery good restaurant in the hotel and a good Indian one nearby.

The room I got is not in a good condition for the aircon it’s generate a lot of noise so it make my sleep not so good. Further more as IHG member When I arrive earlier they can’t give me a room and just send to the spa for refresh myself before I go office. It’s very disappointed with their way handling the customer.

The rooms are large and the beds are great! The wifi is good and the TV even has a few English and Russian channels. The best part is the Amazing buffet breakfast!! Made to order omelettes, fresh squeezed orange juice, large selection of tasty items including Salmon! It’s one of the best found at any hotel!

The bathroom is oddly small compared to the room and it can be a challenge to fit comfortably for a larger person. The toilet is directly up against the tub, so you can’t sit straight on it, which I’ve never seen before... wish they would fix that... the higher end rooms have a separate room for the toilet however, and are very nice. Bathroom doors are opaque glass sliding doors, with no locks.

a place that meets expectations

I had a spacious room with the balcony that could be a bonus if you decide to smoke close to your non-smoking room. The room and bathroom were spotless clean. Complimentary water and a tea of a rather good quality were available in room . Tasty breakfast. Quick check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Convenient location close to the city center by foot or by metro. Definitely would stay again.

Air conditioning didn't work.

Air conditioning didn't work. Temperature centrally regulated to be at 20 degrees. My room was stifling. Technician came to expla in how to get more air.... did this and then accepted that I couldn't reduce the temperature. However, the air con turned off after an hour or so. Woke up every 2 hours to switch it back on. Left with a nasty cold after 6 nights. Opened windows but then woken up by drunken behaviour/ shouting in street below. I was on 5th floor, and was still loud. Poor area; wrong side of yhe station; abandoned car on road outside with people sleeping rough inside it.

Perfect welcome

After a long drive we were delighted to find a spacious room of perfect temperature with comfortable beds to slump into. The check-in staff had understood our family needs and been very helpful. Breakfast was a delicious selection and time-frame, plus the location meant we could stroll into town centre, conveniently leaving our luggage and car at hotel.

Great hotel with great staff

The staff were outstanding. Really helpful, attentive, fast, polite and always had a smile. The breakfast was incredible. So much choice and also a chef on site to cater for your every need. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we had 2 very good nights sleep here.
Location is very good too. Only a short walk to the centre of Hannover. Would certainly recommend.

A Shame, It Has So Much Potential

Problems
#1: The check-in is at 3:00, rather than the standard 11:00, or 10:00 with an \"early check-in\".
#2: Way too many smokers smoking in their rooms next to non-smoking rooms.
#3: The gym is the size of a telephone booth.
#4: The unisex spa is out in the open with naked people walking around (some may not consider this a problem).
#5: There are smokers standing outside of the hotel in front of the narrow main entrance all of the time.
#6: There is no bellboy/porter.
#7: Room rate was way too high (+$600 p/n) for a 3-star hotel. (Listed as a 4-star).
#8: Bed in room was supposed to be a queen, when it is a wide twin.
Good Things
#1 The breakfast chef...amazing eggs & cheerful no-nonsense disposition.
#2 The design of the room. Although small, really well designed & nice materials/finishes.
#3 The cleanliness.
#4 The food. Really good.

Weekend visit to the Christmas Markets

The Crowne Plaza is an excellent hotel, within walking distance from the main station which is 15 mins from the Airport.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was recently refurbished and very comfortable. Would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Great hotel, room was very spacious, bed and bed linen was heavenly could of stayed in bed all weekend. The bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch but as there was two guests we could of done with one each.Breakfast was plentiful, however it wasn’t until our 3rd morning that we realised you could have a cooked option. This wasn’t explained to us. Lovely reception area with a very welcome log fire. Overall we had a nice stay.

Terrible in summer

I stayed here in summer and this hotel has extremely poor air conditioning. They override the thermostat so no settings, even temperature, cannot be changed. In addition it is on an automatic timer and turns off at odd times. After complaining several times no one was sent to fix it or solve the problem. Furthermore, they have a really bad breakfast spread in the morning where they serve cold cut meats and cheap old supermarket baked goods. Go stay elsewhere.

I stayed at the hotel to attend the Hannover Messe conference. I was very happy that the location to the train station was only five minutes walk away. I was able to get to the conference daily and took my day trip to Berlin.
The staffs are wonderful and very helpful with directions and anything I needed.
The room was very clean and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was great as well.

Great hotel in a great location.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. It was a perfect location in Hannover which was a short walking distance to and from the train station and center of town. We chose not to rent a car so walking and public transportation was our way of getting around and it was great. The staff at the hotel was great and friendly. Anytime we had a question about traveling somewhere regarding time or place, the staff would help us find that information by calling and/or searching for us. Very much appreciated for sure. We also had a great host at the bar/lounge area named Rafi. He helped us with any questions we had and was great company. The room that my wife and I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. The food was delicious and they offer a full American breakfast buffet along with cold cuts. The only thing that I would recommend is the shower glass in the room should be longer so the water can't get onto the bathroom floor. It doesn't cover the whole bathtub when showering. Overall, this hotel is wonderful and we recommend this place. If we return to hannover then we will definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza again.

Superb hotel. Deserving of its 4 star rating. Rooms are large and comfortable. WiFi works fairly well (we had only the free limited wifi). All the room comforts you would expect from a hotel of this rating. Location is good, just 5 minutes from rail station and city. We didn't avail ourselves of breakfast so can't comment. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good. Food is superb, service is just right. Hotel staff are professional, efficient and friendly. Would stay again.

Room feels like from 90s, needs refurbishing. Even the paid wifi never worked (10kbs speed doesn't count as \"working\"). Even after two urgencies the wifi was not functional. I was not the only one having issues with the wifi.

From the minute I booked this hotel till my departure there was nothing negative that I could comment about it. Everything was excellent and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Very prompt with any questions I had by email and the reply was in good English.....also with a good sence of humour with being professional. The standards were as I expected , our point of contact , Tobias , and who checked is in in the day was excellent . He was professional and friendly , always looking after our needs.

A very nice Hotel in a quiet place, even though near the central railway station. The Hotel is near all the interesting places in Hannover. The room was very large and well equiped. The only drawback was the staff, they didn't go out of their way, to say the least, in order to help when asked to do so.

Like choosing Microsoft choosing a Crowne Plaza hotel is a safe choice, I got what I was expecting no more no less. Staff were pleasant and accommodating, my room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Location was very convenient. My only complaint would be having to pay for WiFi access.

The Greatest Hotel in Europe!!!!

This Hotel was the highlight of the 20 plus hotels we stayed in during our trip to Europe. Our family consisted of our children that ranged from 2 to 24. We rented two rooms. When we arrived in the evening to our room, it was pleasantly chilled, sofa bed was made and turned down as well as our bed. Complimentary water and chocolates in the room. Rooms were spacious and modern. Staff was pleasant. Attention was paid to every detail to make us wearied by travel refreshed and rejuvenated. We stayed here during our first week in Europe. No other Hotel matched this place.

The location is very good. But there is a construct site in front of the hotel. Therefore the view is not good. The quailty of food in morning buffet was execllent!!
