The restaurant was not open the afternoon I arrived or for dinner. There were no washcloths in the room. Very poor lightening in the vanity area. Hot water took over five minutes to arrive. Shower was so small I could barely turn around. The shower head only trickled out water. One of my worst hotel experiences in Merida. I will never return.

We stayed at Hotel Mirador in Merida for one night during our trip across Mexico. It was one of the best hotels we found at a reasonable price. The hotel was clean and welcoming. At first, the reception staff seemed a bit unfriendly, but this was likely due to the language barrier. One downside is that the staff does not speak English, which made communication more difficult. In smaller and cheaper hotels we visited, communicating was much easier. Nevertheless, highly recommend this hotel. Very close to the ADO station and not that far from the city centre.

We frequently stay at Hotel Plaza Mirador because it is close to the ADO bus station and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple. The staff is also friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the pool is clean. The reasons I give 4, instead of 5, stars: 1) the mattresses are too firm; I wake up with a backache every morning. 2) the showerheads are so clogged with mineral deposits the water comes out as a fine, uneven spray, making it difficult to get a thorough shower. I can live with these two complaints because of this budget hotel's other fine amenities and service.

Hotel Plaza Mirador is my go-to hotel for my frequent travel to Mérida. The staff is wonderful and very accomodating. I have only 2 complaints: the mattresses are VERY hard and uncomfortable, the shower heads are very clogged with mineral deposits. If hotel management is reading this review, PLEASE upgrade the mattresses to memory foam and PLEASE make part it of the regular maintenance to remove the shower heads and soak them in vinegar overnight to remove the hard water deposits.

Wonderful place with easy taxi access to airport. The only reason we did mot rate facility as excellent is that the room had a slight moldy smell. Would definitely stay there again!

This is more like a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star hotel. We had a basic room which was really basic. It even smells at first night. The hotel does not have coffee or hot water available in the common area. The check-in staffs were not friendly. However, the price does match the room condition, so I do not complain.
The good point is that the breakfast is of good value. The hotel is a few minutes of walking from ADO centro bus terminal, but is more than10 walking from the real center. They have a swimming pool and some chairs around which may make their rating a little higher. Next time, I would book a better room if I would return to Marida and choose this hotel.

The hotel is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. Its cruddy, our AC had wires hanging, the shower looked like it belong to 80s high school locker room. The shower head hasn;t been clean and it was clogged, so almost impossible to rinse out shampoo out of your hair. There were 2 towels provided, no hand towels or floor towel/mat. There was no mini fridge in the room, not a coffee maker. The pool tiles haven't been cleaned and the bottom was very slimy. Overall wouldn't stay at this place ever again, even if someone was to pay me for it.

La propiedad no cuenta con suficientes toallas, pedimos 2 toallas extras y nos comentaron que no tenían más, la plancha no funcionan bien, el ascensor tarda mucho en subir y solo tiene capacidad para 3 personas. Very old unkempt place! Not friendly staff. Couldn't switched hotels to the lack of bilingual Hotels. Com personal. Tried twice but not results from you. Water coming out of toilet, crack paint in walls,ceiling n bathroom. They don't dust the rooms out at all !!.

Located a couple of blocks from the ADO bus station, this no frills hotel offers a safe, clean room at a reasonable rate. The staff was friendly and the AC was ice cold. Only the noise from other guests was a downside, easily solved with earplugs. Great for one night before or after a bus ride.

When we initially checked in, I had to ask that we be moved to another room because there were so many insects in the other room. We were moved quickly into another room. We had a great time and the service was wonderful. There is hot water.

Everything was going perfect until the vitamins from my son were thrown into a garbage can. We were sitting by the pool and my son was eating some snacks when suddenly he wanted to go to the bathroom. We went to the closest bathroom leaving everything on the table, when we came back the table was empty! The conteiners where my son had his snacks, his vitamiins, my water, everything was gone! I asked a lady who works in the kitchen and she said that as she saw nobody then she throw away everything and clean up the table. Those vitamins were giving to me by my son’s pediatrician in Miami 3 days ago. I notified the staff in reception about the situation and nothing was done! They should have replaced the vitamins for my son or compensate somehow for the whole situation.

The benefit here is its close to the ADO bus if coming by bus. If your coming another way there are so many hotels in the better area. When you walk back here at night there are about 3 blocks you see NOBODY. I think its still safe but its an extra walk. Also noise carries through the air vents, atrium and the halls are all tile with nothing to absorb sound so you hear kids and doors slamming. Shower head is overhead and most spray goes sideways.
