Nice hotel apart from bad breakfast service

Hotel was lovely and wellness centre beautiful. We had a really angry man (the manager I think) serve us at breakfast and he was really rude and ignored us when we would try to get his attention to order something. After about 20 minutes we finally got another girls attention and she then got our order wrong and the man blamed us and was not nice about their mistake.

Overall a nice stay in a lovely room with air conditioning and a beautiful view. Despite the large book of information provided on the desk, however, a proper explanation of how to function the room was lacking. There were switches for lights, curtains, and AC, but poorly labeled and difficult to understand what controlled what. Additionally, food options at both the hotel and in the area were lacking. We tried to call for room service one night and were told that it was too busy and to come downstairs to order. We proceeded downstairs where it was unclear where to go as no one was at reception. Eventually we decided to just sit in the bar area and order food where we were told the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes, despite having called down an hour and a half prior. They did provide transportation to the train station when we checked out, which was appreciated. This hotel seems best suited for those who eat and go to bed early. Overall it was nice, but will probably stay in a livelier area next time.

Wonderful property! Great views of lake Thun. Helpful, friendly and bilingual staff (I speak English). Superior double room was fantastic! Large, clean, modern, great balcony with great view. Spa was ridiculously nice and included (save massages)! Underground parking included too if you are touring, which we were. Probably my favorite stay ever, anywhere to be honest and my teen and young adult children felt the same which is not always easy. Worth the price and short walking distance to boat station too if you are headed to St. Beatus or cruising.

Lovely hotel, nicely located, luxurious and friendly staff. Most importantly, air conditioned rooms.

The breakfast was good but unfortunately they had delicious selective options available that we didn’t know about until our last morning out of four we spent there. Aside from the breakfast buffet there was a piece of paper put on the table that we thought it was part of the table decoration. When we picked the paper on the last morning and flipped it open it had different breakfast offerings (fried eggs, omelets, etcs) that you could order from the kitchen. It was really delicious upon order. We wished they had mentioned this during their welcome every morning when they asked for our room number.

I think I’m still coming back to this hotel.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Perfect location with views of the mountains and lake. Friendly efficient staff. Excellent breakfast in beautiful dining room. Outdoor dining terrace.Full amenities including pool, spa etc.easy walk down to the lake and hourly bus uphill from the lake will also take you to Spiez railway station, convenient for connections to all parts of Switzerland. Would definitely stay there again.

A piece of Eden indeed

Beautiful stay at Eden. We were picked up from the train station and checked in quickly. The room was phenomenal with a view over the lake to the Alps. We could have sat on the balcony all day just watching the goats walk around. The breakfast buffet hot food was a bit cold, but you could order fresh eggs a la carte which was perfect. A good selection of food and good coffee. We had a dinner at the restaurant and the food and service were impeccable. We also had a massage with Jasone, one of the best ever, she was very experienced. The town of Spiez was great to walk around, a perfect stay, thanks to all the staff for making it so lovely.

We stayed here while on our honeymoon and this was our favorite hotel by far! The room was comfortable and well kept. The breakfast was delicious and service was OUTSTANDING. The view from the breakfast area didn’t hurt either. Parking was a breeze and convenient, which is hard to come by around this area! The spa was perfect for a night cap. We loved our stay here!

This hotel gives you a bus pass to use while staying there. Close to the train station and the bus will take you there! Excellent on site restaurant with a great and friendly staff!! There is a free parking garage if you have a rental car. A delicious free breakfast is included.

Honestly this is the best hotel we have stayed in Europe by far! The view is stunning, room is spacious, clean & comfy. They have the most delicious breakfast buffet with very nice and professional staff.

Also need to mention the male front desk staff who did check-out process for us was super friendly and even gave us some water and a jam. Small things make hospitality memorable ;)

We had a great stay in a pretty little town. Had a balcony view of the lake and it did not disappoint. Resturant was incredible and the breakfast provided gave you many choices. Also the waiter named Paul was phenomenal and very kind, made our dinner even more enjoyable, thank you Paul for the experience!

The hotel is a dream location for us. It’s at a small, quiet and beautiful town, right at the lake and with wonderful views. It’s close to all attractions in the area with easy access to trains and other transportations. The hotel has hard to find facilities like tennis court, garden, offers free good quality breakfast.

This was an amazing experience! The food at the resort was so amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and $12 euro a day. Not too bad. The spa was amazing and lovely for me and my girlfriend! We will be back again! We are traveling from Seattle!

This is a lovely hotel with a long history. The views of Spiez and Lake Thun from hotel and room balconies are second to none. The hotel management and staff were very accommodating at every turn. Spiez is one of our favorite places to visit and the Eden Hotel to stay.

Our stay at Hotel Eden Spiez

Hotel eden spiez has an ergonomic bed that can be operated from a remote control. The indoor thermal pool looking out to the mountains was a good relaxing place for us. We had a wonderful stay there and was gifted a homemade honey at check out. Would certainly recommend making a stop at this place as it is also a convenient base to explore the vicinity.

Amazing service, breakfast and salt pools!

Amazing place to stay! Welcomed with a nice cold apple juice and escorted to our room and then we went to the salt pools and sauna area before having supper in the lounge with a beautiful view and a really great waiter!! The Buffet breakfast in the morning was sooooo good :)

Nice Hotel with Nice Views.. Mattress was horrible even after it was changed. Bathroom (shower) design dysfunctional. Very nice and friendly staff particularly at the breakfast restaurant. I would stay again.

I was originally looking to stay in Interlaken, and I'm so glad that we stayed here instead. Spiez is beautiful, and it's easy to get anywhere around the lakes and Berner Oberland by train or even by boat. The view was outstanding - I strongly suggest getting a lake facing room. The staff was exceedingly helpful with transportation guidance, recommendations of things to do in the region, and helping us with a large amount of luggage. Great breakfast in the mornings, plenty of variety and all of the food is great quality. Looking forward to making a return journey.

Fabulous feel to Hotel Eden in a great location

Great stay at Hotel Eden. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect without too much noise. We had a Matterhorn glimpse from our first floor room. The set menu each night for our two night stay did not suit us due to allergies but other guests spoke highly of the food. Plenty of food options nearby. Breakfast was a good standard. Lovely bar with fire to warm by. Would stay again if in the area.

this place is excellent! Great service, very clean and comfortable. The bed can be electronically adjusted. The breakfast is also delicious. The hotel has sauna and pool, and the location is just steps away from lake Thun, where you can play canoeing and water paddling.

Forgot to tell us under major renovation grrrrrr

Hotel failed to advise they were under major construction with which jackhammers began at 7:30 AM right outside our room. They also failed to advise that all of the whirlpools were closed due to the construction. We picked this property for some serious R&R but that DID NOT happen!!!

Additionally, there was only one towel per room - for two people!! The rooms do not have air conditioning and the fan provided did not swivel.
Full length mirror on the back of the door was broken and and covered with cardboard.

There were only two bicycles available to guests and they were always \"in use\" and no reservations could be made.

The hotel is going through renovation (about two meters from our first floor window), so if your concept of an alps vacation includes spending time at a construction site, this is the place for you. We were offered a different room on the second floor, same level of noise. In order to enjoy \"lake view\" from the room, one must stand at the right corner of the room and then one sees a piece of lake in the distance. The terrace is nice though and the view from the terrace is charming. If you fancy a hotel in Spiez which is NOT on the lake and which is being renovated, this is a reasonable choice. NO AIRCONDITIONING in the room.

The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are not equipped with kettles, but one was found and provided to us within minutes of us mentioning that we'd like to make a cup of tea. We arrived to the hotel a little late in the evening, after the restaurant had stopped serving dinner, but the kitchen staff were still happy to cook for us.

Good hotel, but no air conditioning

The hotel is a good quality hotel with good facilities. The staff are helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is situated about half way down a fairly steep road to the lake. One problem is that the website is only in German and it is not possible to find out about facilities without knowledge of the language; e. g. we only found out that they offered a minibus service from the station by reading a Trip Advisor review.

They have both mountain and lake views. Unfortunately the hotel does not face the lake so neither offer great views. The major problem we encountered is that they do not have air conditioning and the bedrooms get very hot at night; the outside temperature in the day was around 24 degrees. We left the window wide open all day and night to try to keep cool, but had to suffer traffic noise and the sound of the church clock every quarter hour. In this respect paying a little more for a lake view room might be a little better

The Eden Hotel in Spiez was classified as 4 * but did not meet our expectations. Our bedroom was the worst problem - small, gloomy and noisy. There was no bath - a small cubicle about 4ft x 5ft contained a shower, toilet and basin. The view from the bedroom was of two building sites not mountains as specified. The bed was only about 6 - 8 inches off the floor - too low for my wife's arthritis. No air-conditioning despite temps of +30C.

This is all one would expect in a four star hotel: great staff, very attentive, an amazing buffet breakfast included, and, the best part, amazing views of the Alps.

We found Spiez to be a quieter staging area than interlaken and very nice.

They were great with helping us get around the city - excellent management. My wife especially liked the Toblerone on the pillow each night

The hotel is more than we wanted to pay, but all things considered it was a great value for the money. CH is expensive.

스위스 여행을 10일간 택했고, 그 중 3박을 이 호텔을 선택했습니다.

슈피츠가 워낙 조용한 곳이어서,
볼거리가 없고 지루할까봐 걱정했습니다만,
그 모든것은 기우였습니다.

화창한 날씨에 산책을 하고
비오는 날에는 호텔의 시설을 잔뜩 이용하며
휴양했습니다.

너무나 아름다운 정원과,
훌륭한 피트니스실을 가진 호텔입니다.

오후2시부터 진행되는 케잌뷔페까지!
모든 것이 훌륭했습니다.

그리고 무엇보다, 스위스에서의 10일간의 여행에서
가장 친절한 호텔이었습니다.

다음에 또다시 스위스에 방문한다면

Aufgrund einer Hochzeit haben wir dieses Hotel gebucht. Sehr schöne Lage, Zimmer geräumig und sauber. Recht teuer, für die Schweiz aber normal. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, könnte noch etwas besser aufgefüllt werden, gerade an einem Sonntag darf man für diese Preise doch erwarten, dass bis zum Schluss alles verfügbar ist.

Hotel Eden一家有悠久歷史的酒店,仍跟上時代的腳步,飯店以四星級提供服務,在早餐內容和房間設施就是四星的等級。
如果不考慮五星級酒店的房價收費,却只是四星的品質,著實令人覺得住這家旅館有不值得的感覺。
