Very friendly saff but we needed to go different building for breakfast and all food was located in very narrow carridor instead of the dinning room. It was crowded and didn’t look hygienic.
I am very sorry but this not what I expected from hotel in Switzerland. I choose that place based on photos which are very beautiful. We stayed in 3 different hotels during our family Christmas trip and this was the biggest disappointment even the staff was excellent. I think they have to be more clear what to expect from the hotel to get the right customers. It should be budget hotel because restrictions of the buildings design. I would also recommend renovation. We enjoyed the stay but we will choose different hotel in the future.

Cute hotel, chalet-style made the Switzerland trip even more special. Perfect location a nice walk to the train station ot bus stop right across the street. Walking distance to restaurants, COOP and a pharmacy. On the same street as the bus going towards Thun as well. Staff at the front desk were amazing and helpful for any questions or issues we had. Area was so quiet too. Breakfast had enough options for food. Price of the hotel was decent.

Overpriced and too rule based.

Room was quite basic considering the price but this is a challenge in Switzerland in general too. Quite dated. Also we had a small child with us and they didn’t have a bed but remained insistent that we pay a hefty surcharge to keep the child in the room, saying the toddler may eat a lot of food at breakfast.

Loved this property. It was quiet and the staff were very friendly. My only warning ⚠️ was that there was no air conditioning, and I had to kill a few spiders 🕷️ that got into the room. If you stay here in the summer, be prepared for the heat, since there is only a small fan in the room.

The room was dark, stuffy, and out-dated. In an active heatwave, the room was unbearable to sleep in. The free Toblerones that were provided melted in the room before we got in. We asked for an extra fan but were told none were available. The bathroom was small and had poor water pressure. Amenities were basically non-existent. The lack of a mini fridge/mini bar was troubling, and even though our room was above the wet bar, it was never open and we could not ask for ice cubes to get through the heat wave. We also called the reception for extra facial tissues and toilet paper, and received a response that someone would be up shortly — no one ever showed. The bedsheets felt unclean, and we found “black specks” on the duvets that we did not use due to the heat. A large portion of the TV channels were unavailable.

We were told by the receptionist at check in that breakfast is available from 6 AM to 10 AM. However, when we showed up at 6:10 AM, nothing was set up, so we never got to enjoy the breakfast to properly rate it. Reception was overall unhelpful.

The only positive thing that comes to mind is that it had somewhat of a stable wifi, which we did not even get to use a lot of.

Lastly, CHF 40 (approx. USD 50) was being charged for 45 mins late check out (11:45am).

loved the design of the hotel, the rooms were clean, and they had all the necessities. The staff was very polite. However, the room had no elevator or ramp to get the suitcases to the 3rd floor, so we had to carry them up the stairs from the second to the third floor. The room was extremely hot, and it had a very small fan that barely worked. There was nowhere (except the bar) to get cold water to drink. No mini bar, and the drink machine had no water, and was actually empty. Some ice machine, or cold water, would have been nice, considering the weather was very hot.

This little gem of a hotel was perfect for a stay in Interlaken. It’s a short walk from the Interlaken West train station and close to everything! Only downside is it was hot and there is no AC … but if you want an authentic alps experience it’s worth it!

I stayed at Hotel Chalet Swiss for two nights and was extremely disappointed. The room felt like a matchbox—cramped, with no wardrobe or storage space, and the tiny balcony was covered in cobwebs. The bathroom was so small you can barely turn around, let alone shower comfortably.

To make matters worse, the window in my room wouldn’t close properly. When I called reception, a staff member responded rudely, lecturing me about how windows in Switzerland are supposed to open before admitting mine only opened one way—information that didn’t improve the situation.

Breakfast was equally underwhelming, with very limited options and low-quality offerings. Between the cramped quarters, unhelpful staff, and subpar breakfast, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Amazing location, easy parking, friendly staff. Pet friendly in that it allows dogs (but could do with better pet friendly breakfast location during rainy weather. Eating outside or taking breakfast to room on paper plates is not ideal). Pillows are terrible. Has everything you need though.

While the property is older, it had everything that we needed. It was quiet, and the breakfast was nice. We had the family room that had two single beds on the first floor with two single beds upstairs. The room was small, but it was adequate. I really loved opening the windows to let the fresh air in during the month of April. The window and the ceiling was leaking water just a little bit. But it was taken care of by the maintenance guy after we had reported it to the front desk.

A lady came in and knocked on my door I was taking my shower, she said \"open the door\", I said I cannot right now, She said \"Open the door now what are you doing there?\" I opened the door while I had to put my towel on, she said alarm went off and open the windows so alarm stops, that to me doesn't worth the money I spent.

Lovely hotel

Great hotel, very family orientated. Amazing views from the rooms, which were warm and comfortable. Only downside was not a lot odlf parking, but the hotel provide bus passes to get to and from the bars/restaurants and all the tourist hotspots.

The location was wonderful. It was still within a ten minute walking distance of the train station, but far enough out of town to not be bothered by street noise all night.
There was no air conditioning, so had to keep the windows open to cool down the room. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but our room just happened to be right above the bar. We had to decide whether to accept being too hot at night by keeping the windows closed, or opening the windows and breathing second hand smoke all night.
The hotel had a very small ice machine that was obviously way too small to produce enough ice for the guests. The tiny ice machine was empty most of the time.

Nice hotel but beware of owner

The hotel has a beautiful traditional Swiss architecture and the front garden is an immaculate treasure. The ladies at reception are incredible, helping us make our dreams come true by connecting us with all the things we wanted to do in the first few minutes there, and giving us discounts for most items.
Breakfast was okay, but free which helps with expenses.
The only negative happened as we checked out. They asked us to wait awhile, making us quite late for our next stop. We waited and eventually the owner accused us of breaking a bed. We barely slept in our room as we arrived late, exhausted, and left early for paragliding. He was clearly trying to gig us for money. And when we looked at the beds, they were very cheap. One 1” mdf support to hold all the side rails. And they put two twin beds together to make a king. Very uncomfortable. Horrible way to end a short stay when the owner tries to take more money

Nice experience in a traditional chalet style hotel situated a short walk from Interlaken West Station. Checkin was quick and reception were friendly and helpful in providing advice. No Air-con available in the room however the fan was sufficient for my stay.

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night while on our honeymoon. I have stayed in hotels in 10 different European countries, so I completely understand that they are small and old. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in (and I do NOT stay in fancy places. ever.). Free Wi-Fi is advertised, but we were not able to connect while in our room, only in the lobby downstairs. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, they are more like cots than beds. The hotel is situated on a main street; people were taking photos of the hotel and could see straight into our room (no privacy). The walls are SUPER thin- we heard both of our neighbors lugging suitcases in the hallway and the hairdryer early in the morning. Also, landscapers pruning the garden in front of our room at 7 am!! Overall, not a great stay. Thankfully we were only there one night. I would not recommend staying at this hotel - it is cheap for a reason.

Lovely stay overall. Hotel is in in a good location with easy access to interlaken west station and some nice restaurants. Unfortunately there was no fridge in the room and the rooms didn't seem very soundproof, we could hear people in the corridor very loudly. The breakfast was nice but a little basic. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

More like an old motel, not the best location

Location is a bit inconvenient (10-15 minute walk from Interlaken West station), but located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle-and-bustle of the main street, and easy access to a Co-op supermarket nearby. The place itself is a bit rundown and old, more like an old motel, with very little amenities available in the room. Breakfast was adequate, but selection was limited. After getting to know the town better, we would recommend staying closer to Interlaken Ost station to allow for easier access to buses and trains to nearby attractions.

Hotel is off the beaten path which is refreshing. They have complimentary bikes you can use for a day. Staff very friendly. Amazing breakfast. Close proximity to the Bahnhof West Station. Rooms don't have AC, so can get toasty.

Would definitely stay here again.

Adequate Accommodations in Interlaken West

Hotel is a little weathered and worn, but close train station (500m) for what essentially was a 1-day stay. Breakfast was ordinary and there was a decent restaurant down the street. Room was large, bathroom small. View front front window was amazing with Jungfrau peaks directly in front of hotel. Area was very nice, though street in front of hotel could be busy. Hotel was 0.5km from main part of town. Overall, a decent hotel but nothing fancy. Front desk was nice and helpful with directions and information.

1. Una de las cosas que se debe mejorar en la habitación es el sistema de calefacción, era deficiente, por lo menos habian buenas mantas para arroparse

2.Otra cosa importante si te alojas en el tercer piso debes subir del segundo piso al tercero en escalera, lo deberían colocar en el anuncio de como es el hotel.

3. El desayuno pudiera ser mejor si agregan alguna proteina caliente solo habia huevo, pero si agregaran salchichas o bacon seria mas surtidos
