Nice hotel 2 blocks away from center of town, but far enough to be in peaceful & quiet neighborhood. Clean room. Helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood with unassuming restaurants nearby which are actually delicious (check out the portuguese restaurant!). Pool is a plus. It is close to Interlaken West station & a 20 minute walk from Interlaken East station. Recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and very cosy with carpet floors and a very wide balcony. We were there during winter and the central heating was so warm.
Staff was friendly and their breakfast was very much needed, as it would have been inconvenient to look for breakfast on those cold mornings.
Btw, even though the forecast could be sunny up in Grindelwald, it’s always foggy all day in Interlaken during winter. So choosing a hotel close to the train stations or bus stops is a must.

It was great place specially location from all restaurants and shops. Staff at reception was very nice and helpful. No problem at all except rooms were hot and they can’t turn on cooling until summer season start. We have to sleep with open window.

I didn't ask much of the staff other than for dining options. All staff spoke enough English to get me by. Friendly and accommodating. Room was small, but clean and had a balcony. Good hot water with good pressure. Good location close to shopping and eating, but far enough away to be very quiet and safe.

The location was great. The room seems its wear and tear. Overall the room was good but when there are no AC in the hotel, it was a bit difficult to sleep at night.

I cannot recommend Stella Hotel enough…they really treat you like family and they clearly put their clients first. My husband had an accident and had to get surgery at the nearby hotel, and they were so accommodating with our needs. The hotel was also very convenient for us, since it was within walking distance of amazing food, the paragliding park, grocery stores and bus stops. There were also plenty of free parking. The breakfasts were delicious and the attendants were always so kind. There is a pool in the hotel, which was awesome, and a huge balcony. The only minor downsides: interior is a bit older and there is no AC. BEST HOTEL IN INTERLAKEN!!

The hotel is located within a short walk of Interlaken West and many shops and restaurants. The staff was most helpful and so polite and courteous. The room was spacious and very comfortable. With no air conditioning, the room air cooler was very much appreciated and made the temperature reasonable, especially with the cooler nights. We highly recommend this hotel!

Great location for our family

We had a wonderful time in Interlaken The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had 2 large rooms. Both were decorated differently. One room felt like we were in the 1960s with its simple décor and colors. I really don't care about that kind of stuff anyway, just clean and comfortable which we're both met. The breakfast buffet was delicious with the variety of items, and the staff and hosts were fantastic. Everyone was helpful, kind, and polite. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the location. It was on the corner of a main road, but that didn't bother us in the slightest. We could hear cars but it was not like city drivers. No honking or congestion. It was almost soothing. We had a car but were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants nearby. We used the car for traveling to activities. Thank you for giving us a wonderful place to stay in your beautiful country.

For those of you that have traveled abroad know how expensive hotels cost compared to room size. We payed a decent price and had a good size room. We were fortunate enough to get the roof top terrace with mountain view.
The staff was super nice, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast, that was included, was more than expected. Instead of a croissant with jam, they had eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc..
The location was great, near everything you need.
The only negative thing I can say is the room was a little out dated. However, coming from modest means, it was not a problem. At least the room was clean and had the amenities we needed.
I would stay here again.

Loved it

I had a lovely and comfortable stay just before the Coronavirus pandemic. The hotel is really clean and newly refurbished. The owners are really kind and helpful. The hotel is located in the centre of the city and near so many attractions, just a 2-3 minutes walk from the Interlaken West station and a walking distance from the famous Höheweg street. There are many good quality restaurants just around the corner, Indian, Arabic and Italian. There is one restaurant in particular that I loved and visited regularly its Arabic restaurant and Shisha lounge called Bawaabat Dimashq and Hookah King 1.

Great hotel for families

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with the largest room I have ever seen in a European hotel. The room was ready for my family when we entered with a small bed made up for our young daughter and a crib for my son. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. The indoor pool was also a hit with my kids.

Excellent hotel in Interlaken

We stayed in a lovely spacious room. All the staff, from the delightful owners to the reception and dining staff, were excellent, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Plenty of restaurants around, but our best meals were in the hotel itself. We even had a swim in the indoor pool. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent all around!! The location is ideal. This hotel has many amenities and it’s obvious that Elizabeth and Bastion take great pride in providing everything you might need. ALL the staff were very friendly, informative, personable and professional. I had a single room (solo traveler) with private bath and it was exceptionally clean and quiet with an incredible mountain view from my patio. Breakfast was included and had ample fresh fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, yogurts etc. The swimming pool was wonderful, warm and clean. Free wifi throughout hotel. I’ve stayed at many, many hotels and give this place a 100% excellent rating!

Cozy and nice hotel.

A nice and cozy hotel close to the city center. Only downside was that there was no AC. When the sun hits the windows from early morning, it starts to get a bit hot. We were not there in the prime summer, so it was not a big problem for us.

The two owners are very helpful and always arpund. Breakfast is good. They just need to have someone make the omelettes, rather than expecting guests to make their own. I was tempted to give it 5*, but they could improve a bit on their customer service. They can sound a bit inflexible in their responses (e.g., asked for an extra hr to checkout, most 5* hotels will try to accommodate, but their response was a firm, German No)

Very friendly staff. Room was good and breakfast was good. However there was no air conditioning and we had to keep window and balcony door open. We asked for an extra fan since we had a small nook for an extra bed but were told by front desk that there was only one fan per room. As a result we could not use that bed since it was too stuffy inside the room. Even though temperature outside may not be very high, without air conditioning on even slightly warm days it becomes very hot and stuffy inside the room since there is no air flow. On the last day of our stay the housekeeping staff forgot to replace the toilet paper roll in the bathroom and kept only two towels instead of three since we were three persons staying in the room. Front desk however promptly supplied these two items once we called them.

Beautiful hotel with great views and lovely hosts

We had a wonderful stay at Stella Swiss Quality Hotel during our short one-day trip to Interlaken. The whole experience was wonderful. The lady at the reception was super nice and gave us a very warm welcome. The hotel is a bit dated but there is a nice charm to it. We stayed at the top floor and had beautiful view of the Swiss alps from our window! The room was well furnished with comfortable beds, coffee/tea maker, a sofa chair and and additional work chair. The bathroom was classy and done with Villeroy & Bosch accessories. The location of the hotel is quite convenient 5 minutes walk from Interlaken West station. We didn't get a chance to sample the restaurant but we have heard great things about it. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay again.

Great service and everything as expected!

Service in this hotel is immaculate, and has helped me make the best use of my time according to weather and time constraints. The room is small but in reality it is sufficient for one person, and is immaculately presented. The breakfast is a very good quality buffet, and again service is friendly and engaging.
A couple of things to consider depending on your circumstances:
1) Even though this hotel has a great location in Interlaken West, if you intend doing a lot of skiing, it might be worth considering staying in Interlaken Ost. It will save you about 30 minutes of lugging ski gear every day. That said, West is livelier than Ost
2) The pool is great for relaxing at the end of a day of skiing but some might find the temperature too cool during winter. They do check the temperature but it feels colder than 28 degrees.

Very good location with awesome views of mountains. Loved jumping in the heated pool to relax after long tiring day. Very good breakfast. Staff is very good particularly nice receptionist Romy who clicked our photos as well . Definitely recommend this 4* hotel in interlaken.

it's not worth 4 stars

we reserved a triple room with three twin beds, but we were given a room with two twin beds and a concentration-camp-like small bunk bed that is put away around a corner into a nook. this bunk bed is so small and in a tight space so that my son was actually scared and refused to use it. this type of room didn't even show up among the room list of hotel web page when we made a reservation. so we felt we were tricked. the weather was hot and humid, but the room has only windows to the back side of hotel, viewing a building construction site about 10~20m away. that is, no chance of getting a fresh air. there were two fans in the room - one circular fan with dirty slimy grimes and another cylinder fan that was broken. when we contacted the reception the staff said they're going to send somebody up to deal with cooler issue, but nobody showed up for about 10(?) minutes during which I was brooding whether to stay or leave while heavily sweating, with my family. Finally, we decided to give up, leave this hotel, and to find another. At the last moment, reception staff suggested a room change, but we already felt so disappointed and didn't want to stay here for the sake of our happy family vacation.
on the outside, the hotel looks rather old - the painting is peeling away and it looked quite differently than its photo on the web page. the hotel restaurant/cafe is not open on sunday.

Spacious room

We stayed here recently and enjoyed our stay. It was a fairly old room but on the flip side had great balcony with views to the mountains and plenty of space. It was hot and our room was not air conditioned so a bit uncomfortable. I found the bed rather uncomfortable, but that has generally been my experience in Switzerland. Decent breakfast and yummy coffee. All staff in both reception and at breakfast were helpful and friendly. We liked the location a short walk to restaurants and shopping. Really enjoyed having a balcony to lounge on and watch the paragliders landing all day!

We arrived by train at the West train station. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the train station, less than a 5 minute walk.
At check in the staff was very friendly and helpful, we got our key and were up to our room in a timely manner.
Our room was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel does have a pool, however, we never did swim.
Breakfast the next morning was great and had a good selection.
Although we only stayed 1 night, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room was very tiny. No aircon. It was very hot. A very old fan was kept in the room of 4. We Are a family of 3 adults and a teen. There were a double bed and one bunk bed where no adult or teen could sleep. Meant for kids. Breakfast - breads were old and not a good spread. For less value we got more in other hotels in Switzerland. But the receptionist was really nice and helpful. Location not so gr8 but not too bad either. Lots of restaurants within 5 mins walk.

Short stop in Interlarken

We booked this hotel through mystery deal. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room and bathroom was of a good size. View was beautiful looking at the snow capped mountains. Only downfall is you could hear everything from rooms above.

A tricky hotel robbering my money

The checking-in was very unpleasant. I've booked a triple room one month ahead with €175 for my family and perpaid everthing. When I arrived, I was told I only booked for one person and should be charge €60 for each extra person, actually there is no such condition on the contract on hotels.com. The reception lady was very rude and arrogant and gave us a lot attitude because of our late check-in. I talked to the manager who is trying to help in the morning, but the answer was same. It's such a strange logic to charge extra person for a room which is able to accommodate four when we have only three! Especially there is no clear statement on booking line! Their logic is when they have extra room, they book triple room tothe single traveller but charge extra to extra person...but everyone who has common sense that why a single person book a triple room? It's really a dishonest hotel which has unreasonable price system. The room isn't clean enough and also noise unblock.
