I enjoyed my stay here so much! I had a beautiful view via my terrace, facing the mountains. Hotel cleans rooms every day and does a wonderful job. Breakfast was very fancy and delicious. The elevators were super efficient - I never shared an elevator with anyone and always got one within 10 seconds. Interlaken ost is a 13 minute walk, Interlaken west an 8 minute walk. They also give you an Interlaken card for travel nearby.

The only thing I wish is that there was laundry services available on site. Other than that, if I find myself in Interlaken again I will 100% rebook! Thank you all!

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a balcony offering stunning mountain views. The hotel's location is excellent — peaceful and scenic. However, the front desk staff could have been more welcoming. Breakfast options for vegetarians were quite limited, so I chose to skip it. Also, it would be helpful if basic cutlery were provided in the rooms.

This hotel is located at the centre of Interlaken and is walkable from the two stations. The ambience is great but the moment we step out of the hotel, it feels crowded with travellers. The view of the mountains from the window is great. However the hotel is not a 4 star hotel because of lack of amenties and conditon of the room
a) No airconditioner as the rooms can become hot during day time
b) the carpets were old and dirty
c) the shower and the shower curtains were basic and need refurbishment or total replacement
d) the safe was pretty old and i had to call the technician
e) the lifts had to be operated with the keys and it was difficult as it didn't work properly always
f) the entrance was small and hidden because of offices and shops
g) the breakfast could have been better

We booked the Queen Deluxe rooms on the 7th to 14th floor. Our jaws literally dropped as we entered and saw the incredible view of the Jungfrau from our balcony. It was breathe taking.

The room was very spacious, recently updated, modern, and clean. We found the beds to be comfy. There’s no AC here, but a tower fan was provided and we stayed comfortable with that and leaving the sliding door open to catch the mountain breeze. (Mid July) The balcony is completely private - enjoy the views of the distant mountains and the green space below. Location is central and the upper floors take advantage of being one of the only high rise buildings in Interlaken. Elevators require room keys to use which added extra safety for such a busy city. (Although we never felt unsafe anywhere in Interlaken). There’s a lounge with a tap for filling water bottles and a machine for coffee and tea.

The desk staff were incredibly friendly. We stored our luggage prior to check in, they brought our bags up after check in, and at check out they gave us bottled waters.

Honestly, my only negative experience here was that the coffee from the lounge machine was not good.

We have just returned from Switzerland after staying 2 nights at the hotel end of last week.
Checkin and checkout were both very quick and efficient and the staff were wonderful especially at checkin. Maryam at reception was very helpful. We had arrived very early but wanted to leave our luggage and get on with our site seeing. She stored our luggage, checked us in and gave us maps and tips of what we could do in the area.
We were on the 6th floor and our room had a balcony with great views of Jungfrau. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Really good shower.
There’s a bus outside the hotel no 21 that can take you to the Interlaken ost if you don’t want to walk in the heat.
I highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again.

Viva Las Interlaken!

Everyone at the Metropole hotel (and throughout the community for that matter) was super kind and helpful. The structure reminds me of the Nakatomi Tower with its modernity and charm. Unfortunately, I don’t see Hans Gruber anywhere … But it warmed my heart as many people sounded like him! The Metropole is centrally located amongst all the action! From our 7th floor balcony my son was able to see his mom descend from the sky from a paraglider! What an amazing view of the city, mountains, and incoming paragliders! Later, our son also took the leap - Paragliding with the company, Alpin Air was absolutely the best!. Later, our family enjoyed making chocolate and (our 3 minute walk) to the Funky Chocolate Club! In the evening, after everyone settled down, I enjoyed walking to the nearby casino… Can you say Viva Las Interlaken! Everyone was so considerate. I would like to recognize Barbara for going out of her way to make our first impressions of the hotel super positive. There is so much to do in Interlaken. Plus, busses and trains are very close to take day trips if you like (we also went to Lucern). Would definitely stay at the Metropole again!!!

It is about 15-20 mins walk to Interlaken ost Station, but it is very close to several good eating spots. The 24x7 access to lounge with coffee was a great plus for us, as we are early risers. Overall, a great experience.

Location is good. First of all, however, temperature of water is up and down really bad. Both my wife and myself burned our body while taking shower and even receptionist confirmed that this hotel has an issue with controlling water temperature. You should skip the shower while staying in this hotel. Secondly, bed mattress is really uncomfortable. Receptionist told me that my room was not renovated. It seems like this hotel is not using same mattress for all their rooms. Make sure to check before you check-in. Maybe you have to pay more! I was too poor since i selected cheapest room to get extremely uncomfortable mattress. You can't sleep well with this mattress at all!! Third, you can hear everything from hallway. I can tell you guys that housekeepers are working very hard. Lastly, please remember that this hotel is historical. Heater was not working properly but don't worry! They have portable heater! If you are spending a lot of time with activities and make yourself exausted, i recommend this hotel because you are going to sleep well anyways.

I had no problems with the room except for this extreme construction noise which began at 9:50 AM on the floor above mine ( on the 7th while they gave me a room for 2 nights on 6th). At 1PM the drilling was still continuing when I left for the afternoon. The staff said they were renovating rooms. Even ear plugs did not keep out the very loud disagreeable drilling. The hotel gave me a ticket for a free drink when I talked to them about it. They said it would end by 5PM. At about $250 a night I did not expect this degree of noise! The hotel was fine otherwise but the noise was a huge disappointment. I did get a shuttle ride to the railroad station when I left and free coffee in the spa. There was no noise at night- only during daytime hours when construction was at work.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the train stations and most of the places. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly, especially the front office staff Ramon S. (hope I spell his name correctly). When he found out it was my husband's birthday during our stay, he made it special for us by arranging a cake to be sent to our room for my husband's birthday. It really made our stay so special!
Our room has a view of the Alps and the paragliders. Sitting on the balcony watching the views and the paragliders was an amazing experience!
We really enjoyed our stay there!

Hotel has a great location, right in the center by the park. Great views of Alps and the para-gliders landing in the park. Hotel is clean, lobby is nice and inviting, staff are friendly. It’s a great hotel if you want to stay in town and don’t want to spend a fortune. We just slept there, was out and about all day anyway, so hotel was perfect. It’s not a pretty “Swiss Hotel”, it’s a cement 10 story cement building in the middle of a Swiss village. Doesn’t look great, but as I said, it’s a clean hotel with excellent service and staff, and reasonable price in a perfect location.

Perfect location to book your stay in Interlaken. It is right opposite the big park where all the paragliders land and mostly all the events take place. It is walking distance from bus station called Jungfraustrasse Interlaken. You can catch a 21 or 103 from the OST station. The staff was very hospitable. Marko who was from Portugal was very kind, Azam the front office manager, Crystal at front office was really good who arranged a shuttle for us to the station and also, Peggy and Melanie, Rita we were wonderful too. I must appreciate the warmth of this great team who is making the guests stay as comfortable as possible.
PS: You can ask for kettle from the front desk after signing an authorisation form.

I rarely write review for a hotel but this one stood out as it has a great location where you can see the jungfrau from the balcony but the room condition is worse than some 2 star motels we stayed. The bed is so thin that I can touch the mattress spring and the room is dated and frankly I feel it’s dirty with the mold near the bathtub and the curtain. I hope their renovation will really bring the difference for this hotel.

A memorable stay.

An one night stay and the friendly hotel accommodated a surprised early check-in at about 11 am. Room with great view and roomy. The hotel is located between the East and West station which is a bit inconvenient for train traveler. However, the hotel offered a free shuttle bus to the station when we left. The bonus is a lounge with free tea and coffee, and spa, sauna and a gym; a pity that I did not bring my snickers and shorts.

It really is just a clean place to rest your head and take a shower. There are no extra comforts at all and for the price you’d be expecting a little more. Basic! If you want a tea or coffee last thing at night or first thing in the morning forget it. They have group tea/ coffee station on the lounge level, that’s level 3 I think. We were on level 14!
