I loved the concept of the hotel - combining a retirement facility with a hotel and encouraging interaction between the generations - and thought the hotel was clean and quiet. There were only a few things that caused a lower than five star review - a lot of mildew in our shower stall, breskfast foods that weren't replenished for guests dining later than the early rush, no coffee machine en suite, and guests with loud children that were placed near quiet guests and were not asked to keep the noise level down. Otherwise a decent stay.

That also the reason the entire accommodation is extremely clean and tidy , the spa facility is super , every staff are super friendly and welcoming . My room in 4/f and with 180”c Mountain View . So this hotel is also part of like a senior citizen community. So when I walked in, there was like a senior citizens eating at the café. The hotel is not in the main area, but it is a nice hotel and the gym and spa are very nice. The hotel staff did not make up the room very well. There was a shirt on the floor and they just left it on the floor they didn’t even bother picking it up and organizing the room. All they did was refill the same towel. They didn’t even give you new towels. If I went to the area again, I would stay in the main part of town.

Didn't realize it was shared with a retirement facility but it was very friendly and well done - we actually enjoyed our stay all the more because of it. If you want an extra pillow or a fan, ask for one before you check in as it closes at 10pm.

This is a NURSING HOME and a hotel. The front desk claimed that the other side is a nursing home while the other side is the hotel. Well, that was not the case for us rooms next to us are used by patients.

Location is good however they do not have AC when it was 93F everyday. Like breakfast and the ambience. But the bed was not comfortable and does not have bedsheet. Use fan for the first night. From second night onward, opened the door to the balcony. Staff are nice. Overall stay is good. It was the hottest weather in August.

This hotel is definitely a bit... different, i think it is part a retirement center for old people? It did mean it was fully accessible and family friendly, nice big room, lots of facilities (including communal washer and dryer). Breakfast is a bit meh but ok price. Location very convenient near Ost station (great for Lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald/Schinygge Platte) but also within easy walk to center and to other areas with cheaper places to eat

10 minutes walk from Interlaken Ost Station. 3 bus stops from Interlaken West Station. A good location and people are kind and nice but I wouldn’t stay here if I go next time. Not cheap hotel. No air condition available and no refrigerator in the room. Have to ask for shampoo because in the shower there is only a hand and body wash.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Artos. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to Interlaken Ost and is less than a 2 minute walk from a bus stop. The surrounding area is beautiful and our room had a great view of the mountains. Staff was great and very helpful.

Clean, comfy bed, spacious, quiet, good customer service, coffee tea provided on the ground area. Room with balcony but in a quiet neighbourhood. The building was sharing with elderly facilities. Bus stop 5 minutes walk, just prepared lots of walking so beware wearing comfy shoes. Train station is nearby but have to take a 5 mnt bus to the hotel, to find the hotel we have to use google map as the area had construction at that time, came through the back. We stayed for 2 days for 2 adults. Will stay there again as the price is very affordable for the location. Others are so expensive.

The location was odd and poorly lit. There was construction on one of the buildings which looked funny.

Overall, no real complaints about the rooms or the staff themselves - it was just an odd vibe to be in what was effectively a religiously affiliated nursing home while being on a vacation

Great hotel 15 min walk from Interlaken Ost station. Very good sized room with nice bathroom and balcony. Nice quiet area. Close to bus stop and walkable to Ost and West train station and shops. Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

The location is a little bit outside of town so you might not want to walk it if its cold or bad weather. There wasnt a bar but there was a restaurant but we did not eat there. The location seems to be more for conventions and the hotel is located in the middle of a residential area. We have nothing bad to say about the place but for us, staying just 1 night, it would have been better to pick a place closer to the town centre or with more options immediately available in terms of food and drinks

My room was clean and comfortable. It is a little away from the heart of things, but there is an outstanding Italian restaurant just a couple of minutes walk away.

The one downside is that there is no kettle in the room. I love a cup of tea when I first wake up. There a guest kitchen area but using this would entail corridors and lifts in my pyjamas.

Like: 10min walk from train Interlaken OST train station. Good breakfast.

Dislike: although the bedroom has fresh paint, and updated, the bathroom is so outdated. There was mould in between the bathroom tiles . It looks like bathroom in a hospital. We were given a bathroom for wheel chair which we did not ask for, thus the shower and the toietl are next to each other. The floor was soaking wet after the shower was used.

Three days in September 2024

The hotel was very clean and the room size was more than sufficient. No air condition in the room like most hotels in Interlaken. It was an adjustment for us since every stay in the United States pretty much has this important feature. Fortunately it wasn’t extremely hot. The place is very unique since you are sharing the establishment with the assisted living people who live there permanently. It did not affect our stay but it was different from a normal hotel stay in that regard.
Everyone at the place was extremely friendly as well as helpful and the breakfast each day was outstanding. Thank you for a nice three day stay.

This excellently-managed serene property is close to all major attractions in Interlaken with a short walk (or the public bus that stops in front of this hotel). The rooms are spacious, modern, well furnished, and have balconies that open up to the amazing views of the mountains (e.g. Jungfrau, Harder Kulm, etc). The restroom was squeaky clean, but a little outdated with a cloth based separation between the toilet and shower instead of glass, and had a non-tile anti-skid flooring.

There was bus stop right infront of the Hotel which made the accessibility to a lot of places easy.
Breakfast was included and didn't change anything in the menu which was quite annoying but there were more than a few options so it was heart breaking.
Our major surprise was no fan or A/C in the room which kinda pissed me of as soon as I entered the room but on my rampage to the reception for a full refund and immediate cancellation, it sounded like it's the same at most hotels with similar ratings. And usually it isn't that hot as it was that day so keeping windows open when sleeping would do and in addition they arranged for a table fan which kind of brought me relief. I really liked the staff on making that arrangement so quickly. Everything else was very good as well and overall it's a decent place, so I could stay there again.

Great hotel away from the chaos

Very clean. Walking distance to main part of Interlaken. Free parking was great! Breakfast had many options of ham, salami, cheeses, yogurt, bread, great coffee. Also: walking distance to get to the tram to take you up to Harder Kulm, which is a must see!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, would recommend to anyone staying in Interlaken. Rooms are spacious and the views are amazing. Staff were great and answered any questions I had during the stay. They also provided a bus pass that allowed for free local bus transportation (which was great for when it was raining) and it’s only about a 10-15 min walk to the train station.

It was also very hot, there was not a vent of any kind for AC so it seemed like the thermostat was just for show. All in all, it was better than some Swiss hotels we’ve stayed at and it was pretty comfortable.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and is still within 10 minutes walk to the train station. The room is clean, with basic amenities. There is no refrigerator in the room but there is a shared one in the common kitchen. I did not give five stars only because my room has the smell of smoke. The hotel is a non-smoking one but previous guests seemed to have smoked in the room.

When we booked this hotel, we did not see that it’s part of a retirement home. The breakfast staff also took our friends chair because he was drinking “to much” orange juice. The glasses where small and it was supposed to be an all you can eat morning breakfast that we paid for.

Lovely, clean hotel in a great location. Only around 15 mins walk from the town centre and from the train station. Breathtaking views on either side. The only thing we'd change is we'd love to have a refrigerator in the room, but because we went in winter we just left our drinks outside on the balcony. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing Breakfast + Peaceful and Clean stay

Super clean stay at such a peaceful hotel that was a 10 min walk from Interlaken OST. The staff were all friendly, and because it was a retirement home, they had useful amenities like a full gym, hot water dispenser, a library/board games area, open concept utensils and wine/bottle openers, plates etc.

Last but not least the rooms were spotless clean, and the free breakfast was amazing

We booked a superior room and it was fantastic - a big terrace with views of the mountains, roomy and modern, very comfortable. It's in a quiet part of town about 15 minutes from Interlaken Ost station. The staff were very friendly. Yes, as noted by other reviewers, it's attached to a retirement home - but it didn't seem like it at all, and the facilities were great (including breakfast). It was very expensive, but after all this is in Switzerland so of course! We were happy with our choice.

Average service and no atmosphere

When I entered the lobby I thought I was in the wrong place. It’s an old aged home with handicapped adults. When I checked in, I had a very unfriendly man who barely gave me details about anything. I asked how to book the train to the Jungfrau he gave me a website. He never informed us about a room where we could get free coffee since there is no kettle, tea or coffee in your room, no refrigerator , there is also a room where you can do your washing and drying - he never told us -we found it by accident and it was occupied too late for us. When I tried to book the jungfrau tickets, I couldn’t figure it out so I came back downstairs where I found a very friendly lady who told me the hotel was having a special ticket for a good discount . Now, why could this man not have told me that when I booked in. The rooms are spacious, but very clinical, no fridge no tea coffee. Very sparse on the toiletries too. The beds were comfy and we did have a nice big window that opened up but we couldn’t get the room properly darkened at night. There is no air conditioning but has heating . It is a 10 to 15 min walk to the oos Station to catch the trains to the Jungfrau. . The town is full of tourist groups, many watch shops, and that’s about it. Only reason to come here is to get the train to the Jungfrau for the day, which was a wonderful trip, which lasted about 6 hrs.$$$

Nice hotel inside the neighbourhood. I liked that it was in a quiet area, but it was close to the main train statin and the main Interlaken area with restaurants.
Our reservation included complementary buffet breakfast which had a great selection.
The hotel is part of a retirement home, which I thought was endearing. The room was very spacious.
