This hotel would be great for a group of teens looking for a place to drop their bags and go skiing. Our first room was on the ground floor near the maintenance closet. The tiles were freezing, and one of the heaters was broken. There were no lightbulbs in the bedside lights. The containers of soap and shampoo were empty and the room looked out onto an alley. The staff did accommodate us with a room upgrade after complaining. The upgraded room was better but still no frills (eg no mini fridge, water, instant coffee, bathrobe etc). The towels were small and there weren’t any towel racks to hang our face towels or to dry bath towels. Our room wasn’t cleaned the first day Only when I put a bag full of garbage outside our room door did it get cleaned later that day. Overall disappointed for the money.

The hotel is conveniently located, but that is all there is to this hotel.

We found the room strongly scented with detergent and had to leave the hotel with the windows open. However, the floor was unclean, with other guests' long hair and dirt. This hotel does not provide breakfast. They provide you with physical keys to leave at reception every time you get out. Moreover, it seems part of the hotel is providing apartments to Airbnb, and you can smell other people's cooking.

Staff are helpful and responsive. You can also pay for using a laundry machine at the property (which we did not). Overall, the hotel is clumsy and could be improved significantly.

The hotel is adjacent to many Asian restaurants, but their prices do not reflect the quantity and quality of the food they offer. Walk away from the neighbourhood and eat at restrurants with over 4.8*.

The location is amazing but service could be better. We stayed for 3 nights and not once room service came in to clean the room or check on washroom supplies. I had to go to the reception and inquire about it and they said their room service included only taking out the garbage. I had to request for toilet paper…. For the amount charged per night, they can definitely do better on the service part.

Location was great… could walk out and watch the parasailing. Front desk was not very helpful on local sights to see. Language barrier also. We ended up going to Information at the train station to make plans. No breakfast available. The hotel sits behind/attached(?) an Indian and Chinese restaurant so with the window open, many aromas entered the room, which wasn’t a bad thing. A fan was provided which we needed. Our room window opened unto the restaurant ally so many employee noises. I probably would not stay here again.

A few complaints. First I booked a stay on the wrong date and they refused to accommodate my mistake. Said they were full and couldn’t - which was a lie. I rebooked on the correct date and lost my money. Fine. Their photographer is amazing - I will leave it at that. The lower level of the hotel is a restaurant and there are strong curry and cooking odors everywhere. I will say it appeared clean but not worth the price by any standard. It said A/C but not sure it turned on. We had no interest in staying so called an audible and went to Zermat to a favorite place. Worth the lost fees

I don't look for anything fancy in a hotel, just a clean and comfortable place to sleep. This was neither of those. The beds appeared clean, but were not comfortable; seemed to be a single thick slab of foam, and the pillows provided no support and pillow cases were rough and scratchy textured fabric. Luckily our bathroom was newly remodeled, but there were clusters of mold on the ceiling.

When entering the room the first time, it was so stuffy and smelled like a combination of fried food and cleaning products trying to cover up the smells. The only way to ventilate was to open the balcony door and turn on some fans; it's not possible to safely leave a window open while away as someone can enter through the balcony, so we had to seal the room shut again when leaving for the day (resulting in a smelly and stuffy room when we returned).

These conditions would have warranted a 2-star rating, but I give it 1-star due the hotel itself being falsely advertised in the photos. There are no flowers decorating the balcony as shown in the main photo, and it does not have a European charm feeling with an Italian trattoria downstairs--there is an Indian and Chinese restaurant instead, which I'm sure are delicious, but the noise and smells wafted up through the open balcony door and into our room. The hotel lobby and hallways are grimy and outdated, they key system for the room is clunky, and the staff attitude is mediocre. I do not recommend staying here if all this would bother you.

You will regret staying here

Do not stay here, very old, very dated, staff is frankly non-existent, with the exception of the cleaning person we saw once or twice. NO A/C which honestly is most of Switzerland. But even so one window no screen, so you cant leave it open because of the flies. Stay somewhere else, anywhere else, nothing could be any worse.

Stayed in the hotel for 5 days. Yeah, it's pretty pricey. Not just the hotel, but the whole town is expensive. The hotel's in a great spot. Getting around is easy. It's like, less than a 10-minute walk from Interlaken West station, and both Coops are close too, like a 5-10 minute walk. Make sure you check the bus and train times earlier. Most of the available for every 30mins or 1 hours. Check the weather one or 2 day before and alternate the plan accordingly.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel!

I had an awful stay at this hotel. The building is extremely old and clearly not maintained. The bedding was absolutely unacceptable – with holes and stains that made me question the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the place.
The heat in the room was unbearable, and there was no air conditioning. Opening the window only made things worse because of the loud noise from the street, making it impossible to sleep.
The pillows were terrible, extremely uncomfortable, one too hard other too soft.
And to make matters worse, this place was way too expensive for what it offers. For the price, I expected at least basic comfort, but this was a complete disappointment. Definitely not worth it. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I walked into my room and there was black hair all over my pillow as well as the other beds, and multiple large stains all over my white comforter. There were cigarette ashes all over the back balcony and they were empty bottles in the shower which told me nobody came in and cleaned the room after the people staying prior. One of the lights did not work and was shattered. The blow dryer was in the bathroom although did not turn on. We are not picky people although are very upset with our stay in this hotel and will not be returning again.

We were in room 101 and there was mold all over the room: on the walls, ceilings, along the baseboards of the floor, in between the bathroom tiles, etc. We had arrived to the hotel around midnight to check in, so by the time we got settled in and noticed the mold, the lobby was closed and there was no one we could tell about the issue. We had no other option of another hotel to go to for the night. In the morning I alerted a staff member when we checked out and she said that she couldn’t do anything because the manager wasn’t in the building. Extremely dissatisfying experience due to the unsanitary conditions of the room. Would not recommend staying here.

The only thing good about this hotel is its location. It is near Interlaken West station and several bus stops servicing the area between West and East. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Now the hotel. The room and especially the bathroom is definitely not like the picture. It is rundown. Although basic the bedroom is ok (it even has usb plug), the bathroom leaves alot to be desired. The toilet seat doesn’t fit or installed right and jostle when u sit. There was mold in the ceiling. The towels were pretty thin. There is no shampoo provided just soap. For the price charged it is so overpriced for this hotel that billed as 3 stars but I would say 2 at best.

I would rate this as 1 step above a hostel. You do have a private room and bathroom but the room is sparse and quite small for 2 people. The bathroom we had was full of black mold spots and the linoleum was lifting. The composite floor in the room had multiple spots that were separating. While some of this is trivial, it does give the appearance of poorly kept hotel. The mattress are a bit thing and uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and willing to accommodate extra pillows and towels but do not expect much more. If you are looking for a place to just sleep, then this is the place for you. If you are looking even moderate comforts then I would look elsewhere,

The hotel does not look like the old photos. This hotel seems to be owned by the Chinese restaurant or the Indian restaurant in front of it. The room was fine and fairly clean, the grout on the shower walls needs a going over with a toothbrush, but everything else was fine. The hotel decor and the street it’s located on do not give a Swiss feel. I was disappointed, I wanted to feel like I was in Switzerland. They have feather pillows and comforters with no allergen alternatives.

Never again!

I will never use this hotel again. If I could have cancelled and gotten another hotel I would have. No one at the hotel responds to billing problems. Everything is hands off as far as the desk attendants at the hotel. Everything goes through a 3rd party and no one gives you a straight answer. I booked this through Hotels.com and they do not collect the money, so this created days of problems trying to pay and keep my reservation.

The room and bathroom were small. This even though we were 2 people in a 3 person room. The room didn't seem to get cleaned even through we were there more than a week. We had to ask and follow up to get towels and they were hardly thick enough to wipe the water off.

We were 2 friends sharing the room, but only had 1 key. This presented problems if one person wanted to go out. The system is one key that stays in the door to lock it. That same key must be taken out an put on a board at the front desk to remove a smaller key to use when going out. This key system just did not work when we were going out and coming back at different times.

The location was convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Upon entering, the room/beds seemed fine, however when we entered the bathroom, it appeared to be in very poor condition, the blow dryer didnt work, and overall just unclean. The weather was also quite hot, and there was just one small handheld fan, which did not suffice for our whole family throughout the room. The bedsheets also had stains, and the room was not cleaned daily. It took two request and two day to have the room cleaned. I wouldn't recommended this hotel.

A fine choice if you’re desperate

It’s a step up from a hostel. Felt like we were back in dorms. Shower curtain had mold growing on it. Staff was rude - we asked for late checkout and was told yes and then was texted, emailed, and yelled at by a housekeeper for having our bags in the room at 11:30a although a different staff member approved a 12p checkout. When I told the front desk we had late checkout they said “well no one told me.”

Also, everything smells like takeout food from the Asian restaurant below.

Location was amazing which is the only reason for the star I gave.

The only good thing about this property is its proximity from the main shopping and sight seeing areas. The hotel staff is extremely careless and the rooms are dirty and not well kept. We found hair and dust all over the room during our visit and will not be returning. They also have an odd system for keys in which you have to return your room key and grab the key for the outside door when you go out at night and you can get your room key back once you return the outside key.

There is nothing italian about the place and the pictures lie. There is an Indian and Chinese restaurant next to the entrance. The place is full of Chinese and Indian tourists, and caters primarily to them and their groups. Seems to be a place for tour operators to park people. The bathrooms are small and weird. The room keeping is done by a Chinese lady and a sketchy guy who is very unfirendly. Is a 2 star hotel, masquerading as a 3 star. Do not stay here if the cost is more than 200$ a night otherwise you will regret it. The city of Interlaken should be avoided by itself. Do yourself a favor and stay in the Mountains for the same price.

I would have rated it high if it were nit for the bed that was not comfortable and bed sheets that were also not good- staff is good and hotel quite old styled. Otherwise good for price
