Overall very positive experience, reception staff were very attentive and went out of the way to accommodate our earlier check-in. The room was really nice and clean, and we ended up staying in the hotel which was a bonus!
Breakfast staff, particularly on Sunday morning, unfortunately did let the staff down, as they came across quite rude and unfriendly.

The hotel with very clean room is easily reachable from Interlaken West station. It’s a mere 5-7mins stroll. It can also be reached via bus (#21) in less than 3mins. It can’t be missed as there is a colorful display of umbrellas outside the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Eateries are within reach in 5mins. A 10-12mins stroll will bring you to the tram ride up to Harder Kulm! We did not try the breakfast menu so we can’t comment but a good breakfast is easily reachable within 5mins walk! We will stay here again if we come back to Interlaken!

Room was OK. Please be aware that European plugs won’t work in this room and you’ll need a Swiss charger - the hotel only leant us one and I had to go out and buy another. The front desk staff weren’t that friendly to be honest but also weren’t rude, so it’s fine. They had free tea at reception which was nice for my mum but would be ideal to have this in the rooms to save the trip downstairs in the mornings. The location is fantastic as it’s a short walk away from the station and in a lovely safe cute area.
The beds were quite uncomfortable but nothing that unbearable.

Room was just average. Very little space on one side - my preferred sleeping side. No tea or coffee machine and starting to look a little tired. Reception staff were very helpful on arrival and resolved an issue as room only had Swiss plug sockets and I was unable to use my europlug adaptors. Location is good being just a 5 minute walk from Interlaken West station and fine for getting to the most likely places a traveller would use.

So if I was to judge the first room we were supposed to stay in it was awful! Though cute, the room smelled like a used litter box and unbreathable. I told the front desk and they said they'd send a maid to fix the issue while we went out. Came back, front desk said the problem was fixed and was because the room had been empty for a couple nights. Mmmm. No. Went to room, still reeked.

The Guesthouse is utilitarian but offered all the essentials. We had no problems with the bath facilities. And it was not hot so the lack of A/C was not a problem. It was expensive but it was also the cheapest available when we booked. Also we heard nothing from the other rooms. I recommend but would urge them to offer two pillows per person.

Entered the room to find out the sink was not passing water. A person came to fix it and removed the sink button and did some temperate fix. Totally pathetic experience. Wasted 2 hours.
In terms of daily room cleaning, no bedsheet changes just folding the blanket. Even the stains on the bedhsheet remained as is.

At first, I thought we were at the wrong place! It doesn’t look like the typical hotel that we know and the building is old. We were welcomed with a vintage elevator. Our kids were scared to get in but honestly, it was a different but kinda fun experience. When we arrived their lobby was a mess! There were boxes everywhere. The lady receptionist was very nice and accommodating. Since we arrived a little early, she let us store our luggage so we can explore while waiting for our room to be ready. The Guesthouse lacks the amenities of the main hotel. Our room lacked a coffee maker and or tea kettle, leaving us unable to make coffee. The hotel provided a small coffee urn, but it was empty by 8:30 AM and not refilled. The bed was uncomfortable, with only one small pillow per guest. Additionally, there was no air conditioning, and leaving the windows open made the room noisy and lacked privacy due to the rooms directly across the narrow street. Overall, I would not recommend this place and would not pay the price for a 4-star hotel when it is more akin to a 2-star establishment.

We stayed at the Hey Hotel in Interlaken in mid-August and booked three quadruple rooms for our family. The location is excellent, right in the heart of town, and the service was very good—staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

However, the rooms were extremely hot during the summer. While fans were provided, they weren’t sufficient to make the rooms comfortable, and the lack of a fridge or cooler made it even more challenging, especially for a family. Despite the great service, the heat made our stay difficult. We would not recommend this hotel during the summer months.
I do not recommend this place and will not book it unless there is AC in the room.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the height of August - 3 of us in a family room (2 single beds downstairs and 2 on an upstairs mezzanine). There is no air conditioning but there were 2 fans, which were adequate. The room is very clean and very convenient for walking to the bus stop (which is free with a card from the accommodation) and only 10 mins walk from the railway station. Not a cheap place to stay - but nowhere is in Interlaken. Breakfast costs 25 Swiss Francs per person (which we did not try). Beds were very comfortable. Internet access was good (and free). Staff were very helpful, lending us an electric adaptor as our normal European one didnt match Swiss sockets. It would be good if a kettle was provided in the room. Overall we'd recommend this place to stay.

We understood the main differences between the guest house and the hotel before we went. Guest house doesn’t have hvac and room food get warm and humid without window open. We didn’t get bugs in the room though.
The 4 bedroom apartment was adequate for us but being top level with upper beds where there was a slanted ceiling led to bumping heads a few times. Good for small children but not adults. However stairs were very narrow.
Ideal a good stay and very conveniently located with lots of options all around.

I experienced an ant problem while staying at the Guesthouse. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and moved us to another room in the Guesthouse but we experienced the same problem. After the second instance, they moved us into the main Hey Hotel. I would not recommend staying at the Guesthouse, but I would recommend staying at the Hey Hotel! The main hotel is clean, has air-conditioning, and is spacious. The Guesthouse is located behind the Hey Hotel so both their locations are great - walkable to Interlaken OST and Interlaken West station! The staff are also extremely kind, friendly, and accommodating :) The hotel also provides the free transit card in Interlaken if you ask for it. If I go back, I would stay at the Hey Hotel again, just not the Guesthouse.

To be exact, this review should really be for the Hey Hotel as I got upgraded to a family room, which was a pleasant surprise.

Long story short, I originally had a reservation at an apartment but as I misunderstood the check-in time, I had to scramble to book one night stay at The Guesthouse since we arrived late at around 11pm.

The Guesthouse/Hey Hotel is probably the one of the very few that could accommodate late check-in. My family was pleasantly surprised to be informed by Arnis that we got upgraded. As it was quite late at night already and we have been on the train pretty much whole day, this was certainly a much welcomed gesture.

Nicely renovated but service needs improvement

The bad: No fridge in the room. No air conditioning in room but floor is heated. Our room came with no breakfast and we were told by front desk to head to restaurant for breakfast and pay CHF 25 during checkout, but restaurant insisted that we pay at front desk first, and when we went down to the front desk, we were told again to pay during check out. We gave up having breakfast eventually. Then we got locked out of our room and only got resolved after 2 trips to the front desk in the building opposite.

The good: Newly renovated 2 years ago, so rooms are nice and neat. Location is tucked in the middle of Interlaken West and Ost Train station with lots of shops and amenities, just a tad overly touristy. Thumbs up to Mr. Fablo for being patient, kind and empathetic despite the multiple hiccups.

There is no refrigerator, it is in a separate building that smells funny, one bed was under a low part of tue ceiling and my son hit his head twice in the middle of the night, and the water would not stay a consistent temperature.

Checking in felt like we were an inconvenience. We were led through to the main hotel exit and pointed to the building across the street. Seems like those staying in the Guesthouse across the street rather than the main hotel are second class citizens.

The elevator carpet was disgusting and as not cleaned in the three days we were there.

The bathtub and bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing.

The large window over looked a courtyard (at the same level on the second floor, and there were a few guys sitting there who could easily see right in to our room, so as two females that was uncomfortable and we had to keep our curtains closed the whole time we were there.

You scan a QR code to get access to their services online. We wanted a couple of extra pillows (there’s only two provided for two people and with nowhere to sit other than the bed, two pillows per person are more comfortable). I requested them through the site as indicated. We went out for the rest of the afternoon and retuned after dinner. No extra pillows were brought so I had to go get them.

Lastly, they use motion sensor lighting, which is great for the obvious reasons, however, lighting is critical, particularly on stairs. I took the stairway one evening and almost fell in a dark spot.

I highly recommend Interlaken—it’s absolutely beautiful. But I would not stay here again.

After complaining they did move her up to a room with no filty carpet. Housekeeping took my personal eating utensils and there’s no way they could have confused it with hotels. They are teeny tiny. I would not stay in guest house again

Hotel is in a central location to tourism office and shopping, restaurants however it is a busier area. The view was directly into other peoples hotel room so a challenge to keep windows open when curtains need to be closed (you could look directly into others aswell across laneway. Not the easiest hotel to find and parking was not by hotel (about 5 min walk). We only stayed 1 night so not a big issue but if I were to stay in Interlaken for a few nights I would look for a place with parking and more importantly views and more atmosphere. Staff were great and helped me when I lost my parking tickets - really appreciated this service. About 20 min walk to Harder Kulm - but beautiful walk.
