For almost 70 years the Hotel Beausite has been owned by the Ritter family, who run it in the traditional Swiss way, personally ensuring the well-being of their guests. The rooms are comfortably furnished with telephone, radio, mini-bar and cable- television.

Please note that the room pictures are examples; furnishings and fittings may vary. The hotel looks out on a magnificent view of the Jungfrau mountains.

Our superb cuisine and the many little welcoming touches added, have earned us an excellent name with our guests. The Beausite is located in the historical part of Interlaken, a 5-minute walk from the town centre and the Interlaken West Train Station.


When you stay at Hotel Beausite in Unterseen, you'll be in the mountains, a 4-minute drive from Lake Thun and 8 minutes from Lake Brienz. This hotel is 0.4 mi (0.6 km) from Alpine Garden and 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Hoeheweg.

They change my room without any notice. I went to the property and even paid they don’t say to me anything regarding changing room. They gave me so far way an apertment. I was so surprise they says it’s busy time no rooms . I was so disappoint and said to them they should let me know before so I change can any other hotel. Next day they give me the room which one I choose. I was so unhappy.

I would need to be fair with Hotel Beausite. The positive things were the breakfast and some of the staff that tried to serve me well with my personal requests. However, I rated low because first there was an issue with the lights on the room. They did not work well and went off and on until an electrician came fast after my request, and made it work. The second problem was I paid and booked for two adults and one child, and the staff at the front desk did not acknowledge that on my booking, and I was asked (almost forced) to pay an extra CHF 30 for the additional adult. Although I presented all the invoices given by Expedia, the hotel never accepted my booking as I did with Expedia. This is an issue between Expedia and the hotel, and none of them was able to sort it out. They threw the ball of responsibility to each other, and I was never given back the CHF 30 for the extra adult/bed that was supposed to be included. Expedia told me that I had to call back the hotel since the extra fee was paid outside the Expedia booking and it was clear to me that if I had called the hotel, my request of reimbursement would have been turned down again since it seems the staff is well trained to dodge customers’ complaints. I witnessed other clients complaining at the front desk and the answer was \"the manager is not present\" (the same answer I was given to me). The hotel is good in general, but these two issues with my stay in the hotel really downgraded my review.

Their high-quality breakfast buffet is amazing.

What a lovely hotel. From the window, we were able to see the beautiful mountain ranges. Bus stops for different routes are just 1-2 min walk. A very welcoming and comfortable hotel. Our room had a great view of the ever-changing Jungfrau. Breakfast was excellent as was Kaffee und Kuchen in the afternoon, but it would have been nice if there were a restaurant. Still, there were plenty of good dining opportunities within easy reach and a lovely terrace where we could enjoy a picnic.

The hotel was in a nice location. The property and the room were clean and welcoming. The walls are very thin and our neighbors to the side and upstairs were very loud. The hotel should tell guests they need to quiet down by a certain time.

Your Perfect Hotel in Interlaken

A perfect location, close to Interlaken West and an easy walk for shopping, restaurants and bakeries. Everything was very clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast menu offered many choices. Also, a nice cake and coffee service each afternoon at no charge for guests.

What a lovely nice hotel. The Staff are very warm and welcoming. Breakfast is really good especially they served rice with a very cute and appealing presentation. The bathroom is reasonable but good be better if instead of shower curtain is longer to prevent splatters. Overall I recommend this Hotel.

This is a very charming hotel with a beautiful tree out front. The staff was very kind and friendly. We traveled here in the end of July and the temperature was in the high 80s. The hotel does not have air conditioning. The windows open but they do not have screens on them so bugs rush in. The hotel is very expensive. For the price there should be air conditioning or at least screens on the windows and ceiling fans. The front desk will give you a small portable fan which is not enough for a triple room. If you are visiting Interlaken in winter fall or spring this hotel is just fine. I would not recommend it in the summer months. It’s very uncomfortable to sleep at night

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The building is old and no AC, it was very hot in the room, we were offered fan, it didn’t help much, had to sleep with windows open. The views are incredible and close to restaurants.it is an old hotel, bathroom are not very clean, had foul smell and the water pressure in the shower was on and off.

What an absolute picturesque hotel! My husband and I stayed for only a short trip but I wish we stayed longer. It was super convenient location to the train but also dining and shopping in town. The breakfast options were great; a wide variety of meats, fruits and vegetarian options. We will be coming back because of the friendly service, beautiful location and clean room. Pro tip: be sure to book a room with the view of the mountain! Best money spent waking up to that everyday! :-) We talk about coming back and dreaming of our next vacation!

Great Place!

The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety and tasted good. We enjoyed the coffee maker too. The room that we stayed in was comfortable and clean. It had a gorgeous view of the mountains. We really liked the close location to the Interlaken West train station. We would stay here again!

Alexandria who checked us in also gave us confidence to check out buses opposite the hotel, where we could get to Iseltward jetty, the famous Korean drama film site Crash Landing on You, in just half hour. Then the same bus stop every hour brings us back to hotel for hot chocolate foc. There are delicious family run steak house, Thai restaurant, Indian restaurant, Korean and Chinese restaurant too. Breathless glacier mountain view outside our bedroom windows. Lake view from five minutes walk around the safe neighborhood. The superior twin bed rooms are so comfortable, big and cheerfully bright. Bathroom is newly renovated too. Hotel Free breakfast is very delicious. So easy to get to Interlaken West station to get to Grindelwald, Lauterbrennen, Brienz Cruises and more with SBB mobile app and half travel card. Inexpensive

It is a well located hotel a bit dated

The hotel is well located, the views from the room were amazing. Easy check in, great breakfast.
The hotel and rooms are a bit dated. The room itself was clean (clean bathroom, towels, beds) however the room had a very uncomfortable smell of sweat and cigarette so we slept with the window open, it needed a more deeper cleaning to get rid of it. It was a bit disappointing. And the pillows were not comfortable at all

Amazing service and stay!

Such an amazing stay at Hotel Beausite. The location is super convenient and a short walk from everything in the town. The view from our room was incredible and the hotel went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast was superb and having coffee/cakes in the afternoon was also amazing.

Our spacious room had a great view of the mountains! Beau site’s staff is wonders—very friendly and informative. The bed was comfortable and breakfast at the hotel is excellent. Only a few things keep this from being 5stars. First, there was no facial tissue in the room—this is pretty basic and is not an “amenity” that should be requested. There is no lamp on the desk, which makes it difficult to use. The shower dispenser was almost empty when we arrived and that should have been checked by the cleaning crew. We would stay here again if we return to Interlaken.

After paying 525 CHF just to get good sleep and take good shower, I expected 5 star experience but they disappointed in both. Noisy floor if anyone even walk on top of your floor you hear loud noise and cold-hot water fluctuates from cold to extreme hot without touching anything. It’s an old plumbing without the temp. Control mechanism.

I wouldn’t have mind if the cost is not so crazy high. I called it pure rip off. Avoid staying in Interlaken at all if possible as train transportation available to go every surrounding tourist spots. something I learned during this visit. Forgot to mention No A/C in any of the rooms. it gets really hot inside unless you leave window open but that brings fly and bags. I enjoyed breakfast and staff was good they help me letting my upstairs neighbor know twice that we are getting annoyed at midnight. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for being so pricey.
