Our stay at Hotel Post Hardermannli in Interlaken was truly unforgettable. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The location is excellent—close to everything, yet peaceful enough to fully enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

The service was exceptional, with staff who were not only professional but also genuinely warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of variety and fresh options to start the day.

This hotel combines charm, comfort, and hospitality in the best way possible. I will definitely return on my next visit to Interlaken and highly recommend it to anyone look was truly unforgettable. This place was an 8 minute walk from Interlaken West train station, and there is a grocery store nearby and restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel does provide limited free access to the bus to get around the area. I also liked there was access to a washer and dryer which you only had to get 12 CHF in coins to do a load. The only thing I didn’t care for was no elevator and no AC. They provide a small fan in the room but it wasn’t the strongest. I also happened to be there when it got hot and staying in the room was barely tolerable even with the fan on and the balcony door open. The balcony did provide a great view of the mountains. If you’re looking for something affordable and within walking distance of the train station, and you can tolerate the no elevator/no AC, then yes, consider this place. Otherwise, you may need to pay a little more for such comforts.

The room was very nice and had a patio for us to enjoy the view. The staff was excellent to assist us on our requests from an extra pillow to breakfast allergies. The location was perfect and only a couple minutes walk from Interlaken West and most of the main drag for shopping and restaurants. My wife and I highly recommend the Hotel Post Hardermannli for your time in Interlaken.

Short stop over in Interlaken

Making a short stop over after travelling back over the alps from Tuscany. What a fantastic place to stop! If you get a chance stop for more time as this place is lovely. We have a great view of the Jungfrau from our balcony and the town has many restaurants. The hotel is very friendly and a perfect place to stay.

The views from our room were out of this world. The hotel is very close to useful bus stops as well as one of the main train stations. The buffet style breakfast was good with eggs made to order.

The only downside was our shower head kept sliding down. When mentioned to the staff, they said they wouldn't be able to get a plumber out on the weekend.

Small/less than stellar showers are quite normal in Europe, so it wasn't a deal-breaker by any means. Would recommend to anyone that can handle stairs.

Cute cozy hotel in Interlarken. Be warned that they do not have an elevator so maybe not the best place to stay if you have a lot of luggage. Service was fantastic, and the included breakfast was lovely. Walking distance to everything. Also, they had a coin washing machine and dryer which was incredibly handy. They even provide detergent.

Hotel is in good location. 2 things:

1. No elevators ( good rooms are at the higher floor). As I recall, total number of floors were 3.

2. At the breakfast, each person has limitations to eat 2 eggs ( I felt it was bit strange considering the breakfast mostly is Bread, cheese and eggs )

We chose this hotel because it is near the train station of Interlaken-West. It is even closer to some bus lines, one of which goes to the Interlaken-Ost station. We also chose it because it looks Swiss, with wood, balconies with flower boxes, pitched roof, etc. Our room had wooden walls and ceiling. The restaurant on the ground floor specializes in pizza. There is no elevator but the owner carried our bags to the first bedroom floor. Breakfast is fully satisfactory and one can order eggs to go with cheeses, deli meats, fruit, juices, breads and rolls and croissants, etc. A lounge area with some books in English, a TV and other amenities is adjacent to the breakfast room. A really nice restaurant, called Baren, is diagonally opposite the end of the block. Across the street from the hotel is a low-rise mall with a bank, a Coop grocery, and other conveniences. This is a good choice of hotel, quieter than those near the train station.

We had a great time at the hotel. Kim was so helpful and had a great sense of humor. We had many questions and she even helped us find rainy day activities. Highlight
was Junfrau. We also took boat rides on both lakes and a train to Bern. There is only parking for 8 cars. We were lucky!
Beautiful old hotel. We upgraded to a balcony. Worth every penny. We sat there every morning and night. Great location and has a wonderful restaurant on site. Loved it.

was a nice hotel, though I didn’t have time to have dinner there. WiFi, for my room, you needed to be in the center of the room or near the door but I have 5 bars, I couldn’t sit on patio as the connection was 1 bar. Owner very pleasant in the greeting and helpful with the explanation of the keys, room could of used a fan, very warm during my visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Post Hardermannli. Our room was huge, and had a lovely balcony where I sat for hours watching the changing view of the mountains and the hang gliders as they came over the hotel and weaved their way to the landing area in the town. The hosts and staff were lovely, and couldn't have been more helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast, and the restaurant that is part of the building was amazing, we ate there every night, and they allowed takeaway into the room when we were too lazy to sit in the restaurant
I would go back in a heartbeat, and definitely recommend it

I wanted a 5 night break in Interlaken. I could not have found a better placed hotel providing everything I could need at a very reasonable price ! The staff were friendly and helpful, the prices very reasonable and the location was perfect for exploring. Just a leisurely 10 minute walk to the buses/train/High Street. Even though it was a single bed, it felt massive and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was help yourself and there was plenty to choose from. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night at this hotel which is located a short walk (5 mins) from Interlaken West Station and about 15 minutes (casual walk) from the Interlaken Ost station. The property itself was beautiful, has a charming facade, the lobby and rooms felt cosy and very comfortable and overall it is extremely clean and well maintained. The manager and staff were very friendly and gave us good tips on things to see and do. The breakfast was simple with good options. There's a good Cafe around the corner and a European and a Chinese restaurant just nearby so we had options other than main Promenade. All in all we had a good stay and will certainly like to stay here if we visit again.

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The room and the bathroom were both small. There was no air conditioning as with most hotels in Switzerland, and the window only opened a little, so while the night cooled down it was still quite uncomfortable for sleeping. The key system was also a concern because you have to leave your room key on a board and take an entrance key when leaving the hotel. The keys are easily accessible to anyone. They do not have an elevator so we had to take our bags up several flights of stairs. The breakfast was delicious with local favorites such as meats, cheeeses, breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and fresh, prepared to order eggs. They advertise free parking, but the only free parking is six public spaces in front of the hotel which were always filled. Therefore, we had to park on the street or in a parking garage down the street.

Sound proof does not exist

The sound proofing is really bad between rooms. You can hear neighbors’s small talk, like you are in the same room. Between 12am-1am, the upper stairs neighbors kept walking. At 5am, the next door neighbors start to make phone calls. It was a horrible experience. I never write a review for hotels but I have to say something this time. BTW, you are allowed to have only ONE egg during breakfast. Half door to the porch is almost falling. Luckily no one got hurt because the curtain hold it temporally.

Quiet hotel away from the frantic tourist areas but only a couple of minutes from Interlaken West railway station. Stayed in a Superior Double which was a very good size with an excellent balcony with views of the mountains, though the bathroom was rather \"compact\". Well equipped with plenty of seating and an electric kettle. No problems with the WiFi.
Good continental breakfast with a choice of fried, scrambled or boiled eggs.
Staff and service were generally excellent.
Pleasant, separately run, Italian restaurant in the same building.

The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Really excellent, and the staff could not have been more accommodating, recommending places to eat and allowing me to stash my suitcase after check out so I could do a little more exploring.

Expected Better!

Our room, a Superior Double Room with a Balcony, was quite nice & roomy. The location is good too - just a few minutes walk from the train station. The lounge & breakfast room was area is nicely done up & decorated in traditional Swiss style.

Here's what we didn't like --

1. The bathroom was tiny & therefore a little uncomfortable. Some of the plumbing was old-fashioned. Like separate faucets for hot & cold water rather a single-lever mixer.

2. The teacups & glasses in the room were plastic!. That's a strict no-no for us. See photo.

3. Housekeeping was shoddy. One evening we returned to our room to discover that the remains of our morning tea (like used teabags etc) had not been cleared (see photo) & that there were hair on the bathroom floor.

4. There was no phone in the room.

5. There was no trash can in the room. There was only the one in the bathroom.

6. There wasn't enough illumination in the room. We had to use our cellphone torches to use the closet. There were only 2 weak wall lights & 3 weak tablelamps. See photo.

In the end, I always ask myself whether I would choose to stay here again. In this case, the answer is a firm NO.

I arrived at the hotel hours before check in, but the friendly lady, I think she was an owner, was very helpful. My room was bright and cheerful, and very clean.
The balcony was a bonus. There were a couple of Swiss chocolates in the room which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was fine. The bed was not as comfy as some hotels but I had a great sleep so I’m happy.
The breakfast was included in the price. I didn’t try the hot food but it was freshly cooked to order.
There was a lounge area, which was lovely, very cosy.
Check out was quick and simple and they were happy for me to store my luggage.
I felt that the owners and staff really cared about their guests and took pride in the hotel. I’d recommend it to other travellers looking for a hotel in the area.

We stayed three nights in this hotel which is quite close to the Interlaken West Station. This hotel has no lift and our room is pretty small but has a small balcony. The hotel has no air con which was considered to be essential to us during those hot days when we stayed in interlaken. The breakfast was reasonable. to us. It offered us a visitors card for free local bus ride during our stay.

Kim at the front desk went beyond the necessary measures to make our stay comfortable! She helped get our arrangements on arrival to Jungfrau and helped us with our car parking the day of our travel!
Breakfast was a nice European fare with the addition of cooked eggs.
The only complaint was that a fan was needed in our room because of the 85 degree weather and no air conditioning as is typical of Swiss hotels.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Post Hardemannli. We had a balcony room on the third floor with a great view. The hotel is close to the train station. Breakfast was very nice with a variety of choices. We really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant at the hotel- great risotto and beer and friendly staff. You should be aware that there is no elevator or air conditioning, if these items are of extra concern to you.

I don't usually write a review unless the experience was very good or very bad. This was very bad. I was awakened at 4:00 am by several drunks who were on the adjoining balcony. I asked them to keep it down, but they ignored me and continued to party until 6am; which brings me to the second issue. There is no hotel personnel on site in the evening, so no way to control rude guest behavior. There seems to be very little hotel personnel at all. I arrived at the hotel mid afternoon and it was a half hour before the receptionist showed up. I tried using the call box at the reception desk several times but no one answered. Additionally there were no hotel personnel in the adjoining restaurant or bar. There was no wifi on the third floor, so I had to go to the lobby to get an internet connection. There was a cable running the third floor hallway -no idea what that was about.
I should mention the kindness of the lady who came to prepare breakfast, who gave me a cup of coffee.
But overall, this place should be avoided.

This hotel is located in a nice area of a nice town. It's close to all of the mountain activities you would want to do or see. The breakfast is good. The rooms are good, with great views. One of the staff members was extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons:
The manager/owner was extremely unhelpful and rude; to the point that it nearly ruined our experience at the hotel. The Italian restaurant downstairs was a bit expensive and also had rude staff. Parking is first come first served, which was not obvious when I made the booking. The Internet was intermittent, but fast enough when working.

Lovely central Interlaken

Fabulous location central to walk to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. We had warm weather and a fan would have been great. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Perfect for us

Arriving tired from a day travelling we knew we had chosen well, beautiful Swiss chalet style hotel, not too large, full of character, all staff friendly and helpful, everywhere spotlessly clean. Breakfast included lots of delicious products, (local mountain cheese also proved perfect take home gifts) AND a Restaurant which deserves its very high Trip Advisor rating. All in great location with marvellous Jungfrau view we never tire of. In Old Town, few mins walk to Interlaken West station, lots of interesting routes to Ost Station (20 mins), or frequent bus, free to visitors with card. When we return to Interlaken it will be to Hotel Post Hardemannli.

Amazing place will certainly recommend for family.

Amazing experience.Central location, close to bus stop, excellent break fast food.
Room was airy, fresh and super clean.We got two rooms for our family. NO Airconditioning but we kept our windows open to cool the room.
Free wifi was awesome, no restriction on number of devices.Checkin checkout without any issue.Very Safe location.

Nice location, updated rooms and good services

The hotel was about 5 minutes walk to Interlaken West train station. For public transportation you may need to ride to Interlaken Ost first. But we didn't find that's a problem. The hotel building may be a bit old, but the rooms are updated and very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is good. The hotel does have a nice restaurant and the price was fair for Swiss standard.

Great location. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, transportation, and beautiful sight of the mountains. Breakfast was quite good. Not so good for noise, second-hand smoke through the windows, and lack of an elevator. Windows had to stay open since there is no A/C. Restaurant directly below our window provide the noise and smoke.

Nice small hotel

For a rate of only CHF110 per night, I got a fantastic view of Jungfrau from the balcony of the top floor room. (The price to pay is that you have to carry your luggage up all the steep staircases of 4 floors.)
Staff are very nice and helpful, especially the young ladies at the reception.
Breakfast is full and hearty, with among other items very large sized croissants, hot milk, and even made-to-order fried eggs or omelette.
Location is good, just 3-4 minutes walk to the Interlaken West transportation hub.
Weak points:
- WiFi in the room is quite unstable, interrupted annoyingly now and then
- No refrigerator in the room
- Privacy around the balcony area a bit poor, can easily look through to your neighbor's room (and vice versa of course).
But overall, quite a nice stay.

The owners and their help were extremely kind and helpful. The restaurant had great food and the service was wonderful! Breakfast was good, but limited. The room had a very tiny bathroom making it difficult, also no hair dryer! It was very warm, be aware no air conditioning or ceiling fans. The worst part was construction going on in front of hotel which was extremely loud and started at 7 am.

Beautiful with stunning views

Our room was a bit small and at the end of the corridor with poor wifi connection. The section of the Hauptstrasse where the hotel is located is being closed for roadworks and is likely to remain so for quite sometime to come. travellers with large suitcases beware there is no elevator. Breakfast is adequate with made-to-order fried eggs.
