We stayed at Salzano for 2 nights after getting married. They were amazing and very accommodating. We booked a romance dinner for 2 at the restaurant during our stay which was absolutely amazing. They had even set up the table for use with heart shaped decor, flowers and candles. The food was delicious (and there was a lot of it!) and our waiter was fantastic. Would definitely recommend Salzano for a stay and/or delicious meal!

A gem a little off the beaten path

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The grounds were beautiful, the beds were comfy, and we very much felt at home. The family that owns and runs the hotel is friendly and very helpful. The on site restaurant is delicious. The hotel is a bit outside of Interlaken, but we loved that part of it. It was quiet and convenient to everything we wanted to do.

We love our stay in Salzano Hotel & Spa. It was very relaxing stay. Very charming chalet style hotel and spa. It’s not in the center Interlaken but from Interlake OST (east) and Interlaken West were the main train hub it Bus 21 takes you to Salzano Hotel. Spa only open till 9pm.

Not convenient and a bit rustic

We arrived to no hot water in our room. Needed a shower. They offered to let us shower in the spa. Very inconvenient upon arrival. When we realized we needed to use the spa, the personnel had left for the evening.
Our carpet was wet in the room near the windows. Only heat was working and we had to open doors to breathe because of the heat.
Rooms were a rustic style which is fine. Somewhat small room.
Restaurant was excellent. Best thing about the stay. However, my friend got food poisoning the last night after we ordered room service.
We used the spa but as Americans, it was uncomfortable to be in a mandatory nude situation. We only used the hot tub once.
We booked massages and they were okay. Not worth the price though if you want more than a Swedish style massage. Nice ladies but wouldn't do it again. Oh, beautiful spa room. Ambiance was lovely.

The hotel is a 20-30 min walk into town or you can take the bus. Bus runs 1 x an hour. We used the bus mostly. Walked into town once. It's about $27-28 for a taxi to the Train station. If you can't take the bus upon arrival, I suggest the ease of the taxi or uber.

If I had to choose again, I would stay somewhere in town close to shopping and other restaurants and just go to this hotel restaurant for a meal one night.

They had no Aircon in rooms. And you could hear noise in next room at night and we were told not to talk as it was 23:00. We weren’t loud or making any noise and just talking. Too pricy for what they have to offer. Breakfast was good.

The location if this hotel is very scenic . You can easily get lost in the views around here. There is an easy connection with a nearby bus stop (2-3 mins walk). We didn’t drive here but there was ample (I think free as well) parking here with a couple of Tesla charging points as well. There’s a small children’s playground as well which probably needs some TLC but still an area nonetheless.

The area was exquisite, the room was comfortable, and the staff was always available and friendly. The one thing we thought was strange and didn't like were the door handles on the closets. They seemed to be dear horns. They were extremely sharp and dangerous. Had either of us lost our balance near one and fell into it we could have been badly injured. They didn't make sense to the motif of the hotel so we couldn't understand why they were there.

We loved our stay! The rooms, balcony and amenities are superb. hotel is in an excellent location. There is a walk/run/cycle path that takes u to the lake trail in less than 10 minutes. The trail is a sanctuary for birds and is beautiful. You can swim in warmer weather. The hotel is also close to the city but far enough away that you don’t feel you are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the stores. Can’t say enough…

Good hotel, friendly staff!

The owners are very helpful and friendly, check-in was easy. The rooms are clean and the SPA is of high quality. The (temporary) breakfast set-up was nice, though some of our orders did not come through but it is understandable during COVID times. The location is not far from Interlaken-West station and we loved to walk that short distance as there is an opportunity to see the major mountain tops from Salzano's neighboorhood.

The property looks nothing like what is in the photo. A light electronic sign posts the name in front with none of the flowers .. perhaps this is seasonal, but I wouldn't recognize it from the featured photo.

Staff was usually in the back and you had to ring a bell to get their attention, except at night when they take the bell away as well. The only thing they elaborated on at check-in was the spa.

Overall, it was very unwelcoming. The location is poor. There are two buses, but they run on a very limited time table. I was only able to utilize the bus twice during my stay and instead made the 2mi (3.2km)+ walk into Interlaken numerous times (and back late at night as well). I would've booked a taxi (which is about $27/27 CHF) but could never get a hold of a front-desk attendant when I was leaving.

The rooms are noisy - from traffic outside, to the helicopter landing next door, to the other rooms, you hear all of it.

The hotel was nice, but I felt the staff was very unwelcoming and unhelpful so I was unable to use them for booking taxies, tours, getting advice on dinner reservations, etc. which detracted from the whole experience. I would not stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at this adorable hotel! My partner got sick before we arrived and they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and had food she could eat. We will definitely be returning! The restaurant menu is second to none - incredible, creative farm-to-table food from the local area.

It was very warm at night, I couldn't sleep both nights. If I open the window I get disturbed by the bell sound of grazing cows in the area
Otherwise the hotel was ok. Breakfast was mediocre cold.

A real gem near town but out of town

The hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were genuine and helpful. The hotel restaurant was excellent. You really need to try it. Lastly, the hotel spa is top-notch. Much better than spas we've tried in big city hotels. If you like this area of Switzerland and are comfortable using the excellent Swiss transport system this is a great choice. The hotel has a parking lot as well for those who prefer driving. All in all — one of the best hotel-vacation experiences we have ever had. We cannot say enough positive things. Also, thank you to Damien and Kurt. It was a pleasure talking with you and you really added to the overall positive experience we had.

Quaint hotel with a nice spa

We really enjoyed this place. The location was close to the city with great views close to the mountain Eager and lakes.
The area is beautiful. The restaurant offers delicious food. Please get the breakfast .It is very homemade type with excellent breads. etc.Take the train ride to the mountains, It was the best activity we had in Interlaken.

Wonderful hotel, quiet environment, beautiful view

My husband and I stayed here two nights in August. The hotel has more of a B&B, home-like type feel. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and are willing to answer any of your questions about things to do in the area. We had a balcony overlooking the spa in the back of the hotel. It's far enough away from town that it's nice and quiet, but only a 5 minute bus ride into Interlaken (buses are free with the pass provided by the hotel). For others staying at this hotel, I would recommend taking either the bus, or a boat, or walking to both the Neuhaus area (10 minutes away) or the St. Beatus Caves (20 minutes away). Great staff and wonderful hotel!

It is super wellness resort. The wellness area was great. Rooms were very good, and clean, very friendly stuff. The only thing is that it is a bit close to the main road where there are lot of car traffic. But apart from that the hotel is absolutely to recommend.
