This hotel has the best view of the lake I have ever seen, I was in awe when I stepped out on my patio! I could have sat there for days! The staff are very friendly and helpful! The rooms and property are showing their age (a little), but the staff and the views are well worth going here.

Hotel was nice , clean, old style , easy accessibility to bus and train. Good location and view. Only didn’t have Air conditioner so was hot at night. But they gave us 2 fans and it kept the room cool

The hotel is made up of 2 places- both are very much in need of an updating.
Only a few lights in the room and one plug.
We changed our rooms to have a lake view, which was amazing!!
Each room needs its own small fridge and new towels need to be purchased.
No shampoo, only soap.
The best parts of our stay was the views of the lake, the small town and close proximity to bus stops and train stations.

The hotel was excellent. We had a Lakeview room. The bathroom did have an odd smell of sewer, but we didn’t care, The area around the pool was under construction, but we did use it. I’m sure it’ll be nice once it’s done.

there was nobody available at night to complain about very noisy people next door that did not settle down until after 2 am.
Swimming pool was not completely remodeled. Jacuzzi was closed for remodeling. Guests were required to pay for coffee pods to make coffee in rooms. Guests were required to pay for Billiard table. No refrigerator in the room - we needed it to keep medicine cool.
Location was good - we had a rental car. Mountains' views are excellent.

Friendly staff, nice location. Room is simple but the amazing view makes up for the rest. Clean but worn down if you look in corners.
Pool view is great looking straight forward, look to the left its a street/ parking, to the right the restaurant terrasse. If feels miss placed, full of mould in cealing and walls. The humidity feels all the way to the hotel corridor.

Nice view of the lake, but not much for amenities. Woman at the desk was of little help in advising us of how to get to area attractions. The restaurants food was poor quality and ridiculously expensive for the quality. I would not stay there again, nor recommend it to others.

Very disappointed . At check in we are told tap water is safe and then when we ask for a glass of water at the restaurant they charge $4 !! Nespresso machine has no capsule - have to purchase capsule at front desk , ask for empty cup , that’s another $5.
All hotel guests are given guest pass for complimentary local transportation -we only found out at check out and were told that we did not ask for it. ( Hello - shouldn’t it be offered regardless ) , we could have saved $100 on local buses. The rooms are old , hotel needs some investment.
On the plus side , the view is breath taking ,quiet , serene, totally memorable.

I highly recommend staying at strandhotel Seeblick. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. My room was beautiful, with the most incredible view of the lake and mountains.

OK Place for the Price

The service at the hotel was exceptional, apart from the weird desk times. The view of the water was beautiful, especially at sunrise. The rooms are clean, but in need of updating. Also the hotel is extemely hot, so be prepared to sleep with open windows.

Beautiful area, great views from rooms with balconies, nice breakfast with great views, comfy chair in room, fan that worked well in room.
No air conditioning, no sheet on bed, only one pillow, bathroom was extremely tight and small, almost dangerous with sharp point of sink so close to shower you have to squeeze to get to toilet, shower floor slippery and no where to put toiletries, no shower seat or perch for legs when shaving legs.

Perfect spot near Interlocken

I actually enjoyed Spietz better than Interlocken. THe parking was easy as I got to park upfront. The reception was very welcoming. My room looked out over the water and despite the restaurant below it was very peaceful. I had a delicious salmon dinner next door and the bed was comfy. It was a little strange to have a coffee maker in the room, but ask the guest to go to the restaurant to buy coffee and the wellness area was a bit creepy at night. Were it not for the rude guests slamming doors at 7 in the morning it would have been a perfect stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Lake view room.

The lake view was amazing as expected. The room was clean and decently sized. Previous reviews mentioned it being hot in summer. There was a fan available in the room but we did not need it.
There was an expresso machine but sadly, there wasn't any pods available. They are available to buy at the restaurant.

The Seeblick Hotel was a little further from Interlaken than I thought but it was a lovely stay. We had our own car so it wasn't hard to get to. Parking is across the street in a private area. You have to use the key card to get into it. The rooms were nice but they didn't give us any coffee for the Nespresso machine. You have to buy it from the front desk. Seriously? We had a beautiful view from the balcony of the lake and the boats that cruise around there. We had breakfast and ate dinner at the hotel. It was fine. The infinity pool was very nice. Warm and relaxing after a stressful day.

Bus stop just outside the hotel and easy to reach other areas with bus train and boat !

Wouldn’t return.

The hotel is in decent condition. The rooms were clean.
However we didn’t think it was worth what we paid.
We couldn’t find the remote for the tv. The beds while comfortable, had super flat pillows.
There was no laundry service information as advised by receptionist in the room.
The shower was so weird. It had a fold out panel to turn it from bath to shower and the spray to the shower head was so powerful that it ended up spraying past the panel and all onto the floor through my shower.
The hallways smelt like chlorine. It cost about 17.50 francs each for breakfast and I was not about that.
Hotel restaurant closes way too early for food, we had to drive to Interlaken McDonald’s at 830-9 pm to get something to eat because they only serve coffee despite their hours being til later. Got a weird look when asked if they were still serving food. Sorry that’s the Swiss way but perhaps consider travellers have different customs and shouldn’t be judged.
The balcony was a nice touch and we were able to find parking so that was ok. Mountain view was nice.
Swiss hotels never have ice machines or mini fridges in the room.

Not worth the price.

My room, as advertised, had a lovely view of the lake. The bathroom was pristine and there was a spa bag with slippers, robe & towel which I brought down to the small pool and sauna room… Which is just what I needed after a day of hiking! I was only there one night and had to leave early so I did not partake of any Restaurant food or other services. The staff were friendly, helpful in English and I loved to getting the extra value card which got me on the bus to the train station with no fare in the morning!

Bathroom: no electrical outlets, practically no space for toiletries, very high and dangerous bath tub walls.
Room: limited comfort, coffee maker without coffee. We called the front desk and were told: \"I only have one.\"
Ice: can get it at the restaurant only.
Safe: without a key.

Good hotel near Spiez

I came here for two-nights mainly because I needed somewhere quiet to write. The hotel is spotlessly clean and although the bedroom was a little tired and basic, the bathroom looked as new. Although a little way outside of Spiez, you are very near an hourly bus route and the hotel provided a Mobility Card to allow free travel. Breakfast is a bit sparse for the money. Overall I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel.

Would love to call this hotel home

A most amazing hotel with an amazing location! The view from the deck took our breath away! This was by far, the best hotel we have stayed at in our four trips to Europe. Having to take the bus back to Spies is a minor inconvenience to catch the train. You just have to remember that it comes by once an hour and plan your trip accordingly. The serenity of the lake with mountain views is indescribable. Coming back to stay here for at least a week next time.

The hotel sits on the edge of Lac Thun and the view from our room was perfect. As hotel prices go in Switzerland the Strandhotel is very reasonable, especially considering the stunning view. The room was dated and tired, especially the bathroom, but spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent too. A great location to explore what is a very beautiful area.

We stayed for one night at the end of a week in the mountains. Sadly, the weather wasn't so great so we didn't get to enjoy a drink or a meal on the terrace right next to the lake as we had hoped. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, our room was upgraded due to a booking misunderstanding. The room was very clean with a perfect balcony view of the lake but the style wasn't really to our taste. The bathroom perhaps needed an upgrade. Breakfast was a typical Swiss buffet with plenty of choice.

Great Place - stunning views over the lake

We had an outstanding experience. Exceptional location and stunning views, combined with very good customer service via pre-stay messaging and follow up on requests during the stay. Very friendly and helpful employees and excellent food. We had dinner there several times eating the best the region offers. Also simple but high quality small brkst buffet with excellent breads, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, etc...... Unforgettable are the views, the Jacuzzi we had in the room and their service in general. Owner is personally involved in the operation, which makes a big positive difference. We were wowed!

The view.

The view is fabulous. The hotel a little dated. To be clear the location is great for beauty,but once you are there- unless you have a car there is nothing but another restaurant. The bus runs once a hour. After one day the front desk asked if we got the pass they offer for the bus, a little late. Should have been at check in. Staff very friendly. Being from the U.S. I might have missed why people go there and they all know what you need to have basics. The room is super hot!and it was only May. I imagine the locals know how to do this hotel. Not a good home base if touring the area.

Our room's balcony enjoys a superb view of Faulensee and the snow-capped mountains on the far side of the lake. The hotel is also just steps away from the footpath hugging the shore of the lake from Faulensee to Spiez.

Frühstück und Restaurant allgemein ist gut. Bezüglich Zimmer ist es sauber gereinigt und das Bett und die Kissen sind Hervorragend. Was aber schrecklich war… die WC Brille war total schäbig, zerkratzt und ausgefranst… das hat leider alles in Frage gestellt! Was ich auch nicht sehr Hygienisch finde ist ein Duschvorhang der ins Nasse runter hängt,
Das Personal war ansonsten sehr freundlich, hat meine Kritik auch aufgenommen und gemeint es werde Persönlich angeschaut.

Hôtel viellions, propreté moyenne (vitres donnant sur le lac très sales) parking exiguë et surtout, à éviter, restaurant hors de prix pour la qualité proposée (2 mauvais hamburgers et 2 verres de vins pour 99€). Machine à café dans la chambre mais sans capsules qu’il faut acheté à 1Chf l’unité, c’est de la mesquinerie au vue du prix de la chambre, et aucune tasse dans la chambre.

Auszeit für 2 Nächte am Thunersee

Die Lage ist hervorragend, da kann man suchen.....
Hotelempfang und Service durchgehend sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Zimmer und Bad sauber. Die Möbel sind in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch man bemüht sich mit der Pflege. Die Terrasse mit Aussicht einfach phenomenal und die Bestuhlung bequem und im Schuss. Das Frühstück ist königlich, reichlich vielseitig, mit vielen frischen Früchten aber sicherlich mehr als eine 3 plus Bewertung.
Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Mit gratis Parking und Schwimmgelegenheit ein tolles Erlebnis.

estádia muito boa, quartos com vista para o lago.
fomos no verão, no final da manhã esquenta um pouco, o quarto não tem ar condicionado mas tem um ventilador que ajudou legal.

mas a vista é perfeita, funcionários atenciosos, restaurante em baixo com vista pro lago, fui com minha esposa e ela gostou.

quanto ao transporte, onibus passa de uma em uma hora, tem que se planejar direitinho, mas deu tudo certo.
