check in was supposed to be at 4pm, but the room was not ready until 4:10pm, and they only have 1 staff at the front desk to deal with clients' needs and concerns. took them longer time to resolve issues.

It was very difficult to get my room. The first room I was assigned the door code did not work. The second room the door code also did not work. It took about four tries before they could get me a room and the door codes kept not working. Eventually, they had to come up and input the code in the door. It’s a very strange antiquated system.

Once I finally got into my room, everything was nice. View was fantastic.

Air Venice and the ocean front suite we booked was most certainly not in the condition as advertised. Dirty lobby and messy reception area, worn furniture and window coverings in our room in need of replacement, stained bathroom grout in the shower. Extremely loud outside our room with a restaurant and patio bar right across the street. We left the hotel right after checking in and didn’t go back. The hotel management refused to refund our pre-paid weekend booking. Terrible service. Not recommended.

Great location right on the beach and at the north end of Venice where it is quieter. However, our street level room had a wall of windows with broken blinds so at night we were fully exposed! Staff very politely told us management would move us or compensate us. Neither happened! Do not get a room on the first floor and don't expect to do much in the \"kitchen\"!

Booked 2 rooms, was not put near each other - one on level 2 the other on level 5. Rooms were nice, but overpriced for the dated decor. Staff were pleasant enough. Had to pay larger than normal security deposit for 2 rooms, but did/would not accept cash, had to wait 6 to 10 days for funds to return back to card. Not acceptable when travelling on a holiday.

We recently stayed at Air Venice and overall had a great experience!

Pros:
The location is unbeatable if you want to be right by the beach. You’re steps from the sand and the boardwalk, and everything we wanted to see was within about 30–40 minutes for sightseeing. Our room was clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked the ocean view room and it did not disappoint — we had an amazing view of the beach and could even see the Santa Monica Pier right from our window, which was such a highlight.

Cons:
Because the hotel is located directly on the boardwalk, it can be noisy — especially at night. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d definitely recommend bringing ear plugs. Parking is also limited. There’s a beach lot right in front of the hotel, but you can only park there from 6am to midnight. Since we were there in February, we were usually able to snag one of the three street parking spots right out front for overnight parking, which worked out well for us — but I could see this being more challenging during peak season.

The hotel is older, but it gives character to the rooms with the old brick walls which I really enjoyed, but I could see some people not liking. Our room was exactly as advertised on Expedia.

We had no issues with bugs like some reviews mentioned.

Overall, a fantastic stay if you want to be in the heart of Venice Beach and don’t mind a little boardwalk buzz!

I dont kniw why this hotel isnt in the high 8's or 9! Location is 2nd to none right on the beach, can hear waves from room. Room was clean and taken care of during my stay. Front desk everyone was nice ,James was awesome and able to tell me key places for essentials like restaurants ,cvs, etc. Bikes to rent for cheap! Beautiful sunsets and restaurant/bar right on corner

I booked the ocean front view room with the large window on the side and the back of the room. They gave me room #4 instead without the large window like the one that’s pictured. When I brought the mistake to their attention the lady was extremely rude and took no accountability or try to accommodate me in any way, and she just walked off while I was still talking. I ended up checking out because of such poor service and stayed somewhere else. I will never book this place again.

Room was not clean, blinds were super dusty and smelled like smoke, bed is not comfortable and sheets were dirty. The towels in the bathroom all had long black hairs on them. Every single towel. The room had a fan in it to keep it cool that was insanely loud and kept me up all night.

The check in system is totally flawed. We waited 20 minutes in the lobby to check in, while the attendant was on a lunch break at 7pm, then the dude had to take us up to our rooms to program the door codes.

Would never recommend staying here to anyone.

I had to wait at least a half hour for someone at the desk to show up and give me access instructions. That could’ve been emailed to me prior to my arrival. There was a lot of noise from the nearby restaurant that made it difficult to sleep. Bed was not comfortable, too hard.

Front desk was very helpful. Oceanfront view! Parking was off-site and had to pay overnight fee. Room was spacious fridge stove microwave dishwasher tv. Very cozy and convenient for work and relaxation after. Shopping and food all around. Literally on the boardwalk! Only complaint was the noise until about 2am from beach bars. Earplugs provided.

Stay away from this place. Super sketchy folks in residence. A few people spent the night screaming outside and then moved the argument inside the building at 3 am, slamming doors until 5 am. Somehow the hotel staff had no idea about this the next the morning.
The hotel is a much shabbier version of the photos. The room and bathroom were clean but disinfectant odor was very strong.

You’d be better off sleeping on the sidewalk. Room sucked staff sucked amenities non existent they have ear plugs on the nightstand because they know it’s going to be loud. Great location, nice staff, but noisy building and subpar rooms.

We loved being right on the beach and the modern decor. The staff was friendly and even facilitated an early check in. Easy to walk to lots of local shops and restaurants and bike rentals were right next door.

However, there were gaps in the blinds and even with a sheet placed over it, the street lights shone brightly into the room. We could hear the upstairs neighbors going to the bathroom and noise from the internal building pipes. The showerhead sprayed on the floor and had chipped paint. We had to ask for bedding for the advertised sofa bed.

Overall, a mixed bag. Wanted to share for future customers.

Room was clean, not upgraded- but you’re here to sleep not live. Some people say it’s noisy but after 9 or so, it’s VERY quiet. No air conditioning but it was about 60 degrees in December so opening the window and running the fan provided sufficed. Bed is low to the ground but it’s not a dealbreaker. With this hotel you’re literally on the boardwalk, then there’s the sand and majestic ocean. For the price- book it.

This was my second time staying here and I loved it just as much as the first time. I was able to take my son in the ocean for his first time and he loved every second. Room was okay, but could use some improvements: more work surfaces (no counter space, not enough tables); no plugs next to the bed (wires from my plugins running across the floor to the bed); water pressure was not strong enough; room was quite clean but floor had a dusty feeling. The bed was quite good (comfortabe; slept well), and I liked that the windows opened - great ventilation! The desk clerk - Eunice -- was very helpful and friendly!

I booked a room at Air Venice, I selected my date, and went to pay now. The date changed on me, and I attempted to change the date to the correct one. Expedia tried several times, also with no reply. The hotel kept my money. I didn't receive any word from you. Why would your company deal with hotels with this unforgiving policy? Mistakes happen. Luckily, it wasn't for 5 days, or I would've lost so much money. You guys got paid, the hotel was paid, and the traveler is lost. I will never use Expedia again and will urge my travel blog followers to never use you. Such a terrible experience for me. Where do I leave a terrible review for Expedia?

This is nothing like the pi tures show its totally false advertisement. Place is run down with electrical sockets and wires exposed to a porta le a/c unit. The window shades were broken and dirty amd allowed passer byers to look directly i to your room even when closed. The staff were not polite and rude trying to charge additional fees for dumb stuff. Also must pay $20 to park down the street. Do not recomm this place the advertisement is totally mis leading

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s pretty much I hostel! I arrived after 10 hours of travelling to find the receptionist was on a break so had to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes for them to return to get my room. Luckily someone let me in the front door or i would have been waiting outside as no one was picking up the phone line. Then I get to my room and it was shocking the whole hotel needs a makeup it’s so old marked everywhere. The room was basic to say the least I would not of used that shower if you paid me. The worst part was though the noise!! The hotel is next to nightclub so don’t expect to sleep. You know it’s bad when they leave you ear plugs on the bedside table. After a very horrific night ‘sleep’ I went for an early morning walk to figure out it’s located where all the homeless sleep. Did not feel safe at all in this hotel couldn’t wait to leave. Also waking up at 5 AM to noisy plumbing and the smell of weed was great to top evening off!!

Good view of beach. Great location by Ocean Front Walk (rented a bike and rode up to Will Rogers Beach and back), room was quite clean and staff were very friendly. There was a lack of overnight parking, but they let me know that ahead of time so they shouldn't be dinged for that (got an inexpensive paid spot a short walk away). Will try and stay there again if/when I return to Venice/LA.

Our experience here was GREAT!!! The building is located directly on Venice Beach Boardwalk!!! When we arrived there was a line and a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! The lady at the counter (sure wish I got her name) was super friendly! She took the time to get to know us and that it was our 15th wedding anniversary. When we got to our room the code didn’t work. We went down and let her know and she personally came up and fixed the issue. When that door opened the view took my breath away! The room itself is not fancy but has everything we needed. It’s in a great location with partying all around. That being said it is noisy at night which we didn’t mind. They provide ear plugs for a better nights sleep. I would absolutely stay here again!

AirVenice was a funky delight. A relatively ideal spot to hang your hat while taking in Venice, LA. The beach is across the street, I mean, literally. Santa Monica pier is about a long walk away, and easily done. The Venice pier is equial distance in the opposite direction. Decent restaurants are virtually everywhere. Venice Beach is pure LA, laid-back and cool. If you're going there, you could do a whole lot worse than doing a few nights at AirVenice, an okay hotel on the edge of the dazzling Pacific Ocean.

The room welcomed me with two cockrouches. There was noise all night long, literally until 6 am music and screaming on the street. They provide ear plugs so you get an idea. I tried to contact them via phone to see if I could check out twop days earlier and they never answered the phone, they did not return my call after leaving voicemail. I checked out anyway and lost two days. If you want to party all night and just want to crash during the day maybe it is worthit becuase of its location, but the facility is trully bad, no ac, noisy fan, paper thin walls, not recomended.

Plain simple rooms with a full fridge and bay windows looking right out over the beach… I don't ask for maid service so I didn't really worry about that gorgeous breezes… Some nighttime routings noise but whatever :-) Alex at the front desk was great… It was easy parking for me because I had a handicap spot
