Location was immaculate! Staff was very friendly and always ready to help which is amazing. The room we had was clean and very spacious. My only complaint was we booked a room with a balcony and we did see pictures with a very big balcony and chairs. Ended up with a two foot by six foot “balcony” but the view was still kind of worth it. Thankfully we were less than ten minutes away from all main shops and the pier. My other big issue was the vending machines. Most of them were out of order or saying please select a different option.

All together the experience was very pleasant. If people want a great hotel with amazing staff please look into the Hyatt. Just know you might have to stop by 7-11 for some snacks or drinks.

Great hotel a few blocks from beach and restaurants. The staff were so nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the bikes that they lent us on site and the free games room (pool and shuffleboard).. Will hopefully come back soon!

1.i had Delivery from Amazon not given to me for 4 days and even after checking out despite asking for it several times. Later found out package was kept in manager room desk w/o letting me or other staff to give/ deliver to me in person or to room number again despite checking several times!!! I’m now in LAX airport going to Singapor and package is in hotel front desk

The ac/heat unit did not work my entire stay and that TV had problems most days. Staff interactions were 50/50, sometimes pleasant, other times unhelpful.

I will shout-out the housekeeping dept, the bellmen and that curly haired woman at the front desk. They were always lovely, helpful and kind.

Our room was next to the staff lifts and there was a constant noise from the lifts being used all day until 12 at night. And I was charged Destination fees and was only told 1 day before check in. Attitude of staff members are terrible and they dont care about helping.

Had a great time. Drinks are a bit pricey on the bar but it’s CALI. We road their bikes and walked to the nearby stores. Great location!! Clean room and staff was very helpful and kind. There was a desk associate she was a fair skin I think she had locs in her hair anyway she was really nice hate I can’t remember her name. Ava I think was the name of our waitress for breakfasts and she was accommodating and friendly. There was a dark skinned fellow who worked the desk to help us rent out the bikes. Younger skin fellow. He was very helpful as well. Thanks everyone for a great stay. Rooms were clean food was good and we had to get up early morning for our flight and the night person was up and cleaning the main area doing her job visibly. I hate I can’t name any names but I’m sure their work doesn’t go unnoticed by management.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel so no comment on that. They did offer complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby; however, no in room beverages except for water. I got my husband an orange juice to take to the room and it was as much as a gallon at the supermarket. We had lunch in the lobby one day and it took a long time for our order to come out and we were the only people in the restaurant. The rooms have been renovated since the last time I stayed here; however, the bathroom did not have any hooks or towel bars to hang our wet towels on. You can tell that the style that the building was built was popular in the 70s and they did their best to renovate it, but it lacks certain amenities. The staff are friendly and competent and the location is convenient for the beach and airport.

The room was very good. The only thing is that we were charged a “destination fee which I didn’t know about. That really put a damper on a very good stay . It would have been fine if either Expedia or the hotel told me up front. Also I was suppose to get a 20% discount on the restaurant food and I did not . Apparently the destination fee includes a 20% discount but I did not get it .

Air-conditioned was in balcony lots of noise. When i compare with the other hotels in downtown Santa Monica( i checked ) was near ocean Hyatt hotel was too expensive. I like Hot tub too.staff was very good.i will go travel 12 times per year next times

Good location to be able to walk to the pier or Venice beach. Rooms decent size and fairly clean (carpets stained in places) lacking plug points near the bed, balcony lights not working, make up mirror not working. Would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Pool ok but small so can get crowded
Not on par to Hyatt hotels normal standards.

My room wasn’t ready when I got there at 3:30, so I was told my valet parking would be comped. When I checked out, it was not taken off, I simply inquired about this at the desk and they took it off my bill. I was a bit shocked at the 300$ hold, that seemed excessive, but overall it was a very pleasant weekend and I look forward to staying at this hotel again.

The complementary coffee is nice but the $7 kids hot chocolate is a bit ridiculous.
You may think you’re getting a deal for your stay here, but parking is $64 a day. There’s no where else to park so you’re stuck. Then $40 a day “destination fee”… ridiculous.

It’s about a 30-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier. The location itself is just okay—not great, not terrible—but the hotel was excellent. Super clean, and the highlight was the free bike rentals. That ended up being the best part of our trip since we spent a whole day biking along the LA waterfront.

The hotel is right outside a highschool so be prepared to be woken up to the drumline practice at 7am. Valet was advertised as $55 and they charged $64.90; there are no other parking options nearby. There was no coffee in the room. Hotel is clean and beds were nice.

Ok the property is right next to the high school, not a problem with that. Ya it takes 10 minutes to get to the boardwalk, it's all down hill. Takes longer getting back, FYI don't go up Bay St really steep. Boardwalk is great, there is a guy who rents bikes down there for 30. A day, great deal, works out of a truck on the boardwalk.
Boardwalk is really long and nice.
