From check in to leaving we couldn’t find fault with anything. Rooms met our family needs.services excellent staff were friendly and courteous in particular Olivia who was super. her manner and patience with our requests fit our Autustic grandson as well as her professionalism and service deliver was excellent. Also Rebecca on reception who’s professional friendly manner is a credit to the hotel ,One niggle would be good prices bursted
.. in particular for fish& chips looked like child portion… also if making a Weston mess. Pl

The hotel room had a bad smell so I changed room was downgraded because they did not have another room Privilege Room available and I could not eat the breakfast because of how poor and badly maintained the breakfast area was. I will not be staying here again

This property is really run down, base boards are warped counter is chipping, it’s very much a 3 star or less and did in a pinch as it’s very close to the airport. We only stayed one night. Someone had clearly thrown up in our room previous and the carpet was still semi wet and stunk. The buffet breakfast is not worth the price at all don’t waste your time. The staff were absolutely lovely and the only redeeming quality for the place.

Hotel has a charming 70s feel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Onsite parking is great. Bed is comfortable and the shower has good pressure. Really can’t complain and would happily stay here again.

This hotel was just okay, in my opinion. The room was very outdated, with old carpet and the shower valve was broken or something because the water came half out the shower and half out the bath spout.

The breakfast was great and the location to shopping outlets was also nice. The beds were comfortable enough. I would stay here again, but if you are looking for modern or nice looking this hotel doesn’t impress.

Perfect for what I needed but a bit tired. I was unlucky to have the room next to the reception (which meant I heard people coming and going till late and early in the morning), the room also faced the busy road which was a bit noisy. All that said the room was clean and acceptable.

Receptionist was very helpful with lots of information.
Room spacious, with a view of the park.
Excellent breakfast although on the second day there were far too many guests and the coffee machine decided to malfunction.
Not far from station to go into Edinburgh centre but car is needed.

The hotel is older but it had a nice layout. I wish the bathrooms didn’t have the half glass door, which is weird. We were only there over night to catch our plane in the early morning, so we didn’t get to try the breakfast since we left at 6:30 am, but my husband pointed out that there were dart boards and a bar. This would have been awesome for us had we stayed longer.

We stayed over before an early morning flight from Edinburgh.

The hotel is budget and a bit tired, could do with a refurb. The beds were very hard. I felt sorry for people below as the floors are very creaky.

Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Shopping centre and restaurants are about 10 min walk away.

Would it stay again... for ease to airport yes, for a leisurely stay, No.

Just stayed at the hotel, arrived at 6 to check in, went to room, not cleaned, bedding/towels and bins all there from last people who stayed there, went back to report issue, young lad didn’t even apologies, felt like I inconvenience him with issue, never complain but had to speak to duty manager, she was apologetic, found another room, was basic than one I paid for, gave free drink and breakfast as apology.

Only had one night stay but everything was good. Nice and clean and a lovely comfortable lounge area with a bar. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. One thing I would say the staff should stipulate on arrival is to register your car for the parking. It was late when we got there and got chatting booking in but forgot to do that. Remembered it when we checked out but they cannot do anything about it. We will probably receive a letter for a £100 fine but phone them and they will deal with it. Feel this could have been avoided

The breakfast was good. It was nice to have the option of eating dinner at the hotel. I liked the atmosphere in Livingston. Maybe it's a Scotland thing because I experienced this at another hotel, but the bathtubs are not the safest. If a sign is required in the bathroom to explain to be careful in the bathtub, then maybe that indicates a problem. Most hotels I have stayed in world wide have walk in showers or a low profile bathtub versus the high profile tub that requires careful entry and exit to avoid falling. Just an observation. Overall great place to stay and would visit again in the future. Thanks.

Check in went smoothly. Our room was a twin on the first floor. Spacious and clean with tea/coffee facility and a hairdryer. Only downside was a lack of sockets near the beds. Bathroom clean and shampoo , body wash provided if required.

Room not cleaned properly. Housekeeping gave 1 set of towel instead of 2 during one of the cleaning sessions. Phone in the room no longer working. Was told that they are doing away with the phone. Bathroom floor sounds when steps.

Staff are all excellent. They try very hard. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is extremely dated and needing refurbished.

Other than that the cleanliness was its biggest let down. We walked into our room to a pair of dirty socks on the floor. I didn’t complain just put them in the bin.
The room curtains were caked with dust and closed on our arrival. Opened them the next morning to realise the windows are all growing mould alone the seals. It’s unpleasant.
The beds themselves appeared clean and were comfortable.

Unfortunately, the shower in the room did not work at all, which was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable given that this is a basic facility expected as part of a paid stay.

In addition, we were given incorrect information about the breakfast service time. As a result, we missed breakfast entirely. When we approached reception to explain the situation, there was no assistance offered, nor any flexibility shown despite us having paid extra for breakfast. We were not provided with accurate information at check-in, and there was no effort made to resolve the issue.

The restaurant was closed and we paid £70 to eat in an improvised office space.
The shower was broken
The bar area was set up for an office party.
Staff struggled to use the bar equipment and didn’t know which product was which.
Property is completely run down.
Double room with Doble bed but only one bedside cabinet.
I could go on but really give it a miss unless third world vibe is what your after.

Location good, reception staff friendly & efficient. Reception & bar areas in good condition but as soon as you venture away from these areas the building is tired inside & out and in need of upgrading.
Young bar staff need more training as I was tried to be charged different price for same
