The location is the best part about this hotel! We checked in and got the keys at the partner hotel and they transported our luggage to the Cinque Suites for us, which was very easy. The room felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel and it wasn't exactly spotless, but it was spacious and plenty comfortable. Well worth it!

Extremely disappointed for following reasons:- Booked continental breakfast for duration believing the property had a rooftop terrace available for our stay and breakfast. Learned on arrival when asking for breakfast service times that breakfast was no longer provided by the hotel. Not notified in advance of arrival despite booking 8 months before and not informed in any of our correspondence. A voucher was offered at a cafe, 5 min walk away for a pastry, hot drink, juice only - no savoury/fruit option - not the continental offering originally booked. Rooftop area no longer in use. Again not informed prior to arrival. Area not clean, pigeon droppings everywhere, all furniture stacked up, all plants dead, cushions filthy and stained. Space not fit for purpose - but we were told at reception it was available to use - even though not serving breakfast there anymore. During stay the lounge light fell from the ceiling and a replacement light was not provided so difficult to use the space anymore as too dark. The hotel WhatsApp business account used during our stay pictured breakfast on the rooftop which is misleading and inaccurate. The Hotels.com information and images used for this property listing are inaccurate and misleading. Booked this hotel specifically to be able to use the rooftop for relaxation and also for the inhouse breakfast. Very disappointed as we have used Hotels.com for years.

Ortigia is a must for history lovers
Ortigia overall is a beautiful, historic town. A great place to stroll the streets and admire architecture from a different time. Good food and several shops to explore.
This stay was a bit disappointing. It is natural for old homes in Europe to smell poorly due to the construction and humidity, however this was more than normal. Our clothing smelled heavily of the odour for the remainder of our trip.
At first sight, the apartment is beautiful - white washed exposed stone walls and wood ceiling. Pretty tile walls line the shower - great water pressure!
There was even an outdoor hot tub.
HOWEVER…when you actually get a good look, the place is in much need of TLC, specifically the bathroom, hot tub and doors leading to it.
Also, when you leave the apartment you are forced to shut down the hydro…this also shuts down the refrigerator, so be aware if you intend on buying and perishable food.
Overall, Ortigia was stunning. This apartment could be too with a bit of attention.

Registration was in an entirely different location, at least 15 minutes away from the property. We had to take a taxi there first to pick up the key while the taxi waited. Even though there was only one couple ahead of us at registration, it was at least 15 minutes waiting time before we could complete our registration and finally proceed to our room. We don’t believe the website mentioned that there was no elevator on the property and we climbed up four flights of stairs which is an issue when you have two large suitcases. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. It looked rather unsightly.

Amazing property in Ortigia. Super central location and 5 minutes from everything Syracuse can offer. The property is outstanding and beautiful, very modern and full of amenities. We stayed in suite 1 and it had a private full sized hot tub in the room! The lady at the concierge was super helpful, she gave us great directions and even made reservations for our dinner. I really wish I had plan for a longer stay in Ortigia.

The property is great locating in the center if the island with everything in walking distance, a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. Our suite is spacious with a sitting room and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was delivered to the room and the quality is top. It is in a narrow alley and GPS might not be able to show the right entry. Overall, it is highly recommended.

I spent 1 night at this B&B. The place (all suites) are great: all new, modern forniture and very clean. It was a 5 star hotel equivalent. Reception was awesome: Siria welcomed me at my arrival, she had the valet parking ready and we could get in our room in 5 min. Breakfast on the terrace was good. I will be back for sure next time I am in Siracusa and Sicily

There are only 6 suites but they are modern and large with a small settee area too. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace and has everything you would need for a small hotel. Location is fantastic. Ortigia is amazing. Restaurants and culture everywhere you go. And so clean too.

Beware, they charge you extra for check ins after 9 pm. And they charge you extra per person for a late check in which I never heard of anywhere. They DO NOT warn about this ahead and bother you at the middle of your vacation to force you to tell an exact time for your check in, for a room you already paid for. Highly UN-recommend, it was a stressful experience at a vacation that is for less stress

A bit run down, bathrooms need a face lift. Shower did not drain well and eventually flooded the floor every morning. They really need to be more up front about access. One cannot drive to the address despite the pre-check-in phone call advising we could. So it is very difficult to: 1. Locate the building, and; 2. Unload luggage because there is no parking close by.

Lovely property, but the property had no hot water for half of our stay. They said they were fixing it, and then it was back for a night. Then out again. We were there 4 nights. Enjoyed the roof, and the spacious rooms. But not the cold showers.

This hotel is nice, modern, and conveniently located (but pretty much anything on Ortigia is conveniently located). Because of rain/the possibility of rain, we were given breakfast as room service both mornings. Both times items were missing from the order and the order was delivered in 2 parts (10 minutes and 20 minutes apart). The price was more than double what we paid for any other hotel on our trip in Italy - and it was the same quality, size, location, etc., as the one in Matera that was half the price . . .

Great location tucked up a little pedestrian only alley so finding it and parking a bit tricky. We used google maps and it worked well. The suite had quirky but fun decoration. It was a great size. Breakfast weak. Stairs to upper rooms. We had a plunge pool in suite one and it was on ground level. Good restaurants and general stores nearby. We enjoyed our stay.

Charming B&B in a great location on the island of Ortigia. Great job by the owners in creating this top notch facility. The rooms are well designed and you can tell a lot of thought went into ensuring that their guests are well taken care of. Beds were super comfortable and AC worked great ensuring a good noght's sleep. Liliana works hard to ensure that her guests enjoy their stay. Can't imagine too many places in Ortigia that can be as nice as the Cinque Suites.

Beautiful hotel in heart of resort
Right from the start I cannot fault our stay in CinqueSuites. Both Christian and Liliana are a joy and made our short break in Ortigia memorable. The property has recently undergone major renovation and the suites are decorated and equipped to a very high standard with an emphasis on modern decor to suit even the most conservative of taste. Our suite ( No.2) was very spacious and contained all necessary items to make for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was taken on the roof terrace as we were fortunate to experience warm December sun. The choice of breakfast items was comprehensive enough to make it variable . Housekeeping was excellent. The proprietors have a great attention for detail and strive to maintain very exacting standards. I envy their enthusiasm.
