Our stay at Lords of the Manor was truly exceptional. The hotel itself is very pretty, and although it rained almost constantly, the grounds were clearly beautiful. The weather did nothing to detract from the warm and gracious welcome we received. Every member of staff was unfailingly polite, attentive, and helpful, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. From start to finish, everything about our stay was a genuinely lovely experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lords of the Manor. The house is absolutely beautiful and the ground surrounding it are classic picturesque countryside. Lovely walk through upper and lower slaughter. We had dinner at the restaurant which was a bit too fancy and pricey for our tastes but the staff were lovely and very kind. The room was wonderful for the night and I would recommend it!

We loved that the hotel was out in the countryside. We enjoyed walking around the property amongst the trees and garden area. Our room had a beautiful garden view from our large window. The room was spacious, decorated nicely and the beds were comfortable. It was unique having a few stairs leading down to our private bathroom that was spacious as well. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had wonderful breakfasts in the dining room and also enjoyed delicious gourmet dinners. It was peaceful and quiet around the property. We loved sitting on the patio area in front and in back of the hotel. Such a pretty place.

We loved our one night stay at Lords of the Manor Hotel. It was a unique experience to stay in this beautiful English manor. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and elegantly furnished, with high quality amenities. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The gardens and grounds are amazing! Upper Slaughter is a beautiful little town to explore. You can easily walk to Lower Slaughter by a trail behind the hotel gardens. Thank you!

The staff at Lords of the Manor provide the best service I have ever received at a hotel.
When we drove-up the reception, a higher ranked staff member greeted us at our car. He proceeded to take all of our luggage to the reception guest where we proceeded with the check-in.
This same staff member proceeded to park our car and then escorted us to our room. Once again, with all our luggage!
This is just an example of One of the staff members. They ALL acted like this; always helpful and served with a smile.

Best Stay around Cotswolds
The hotel is magnificent! It is a well kept mansion on a vast piece of greenery. The room is very large and well updated with all the modern comfort. The bed is a true US King size bed rather than a UK King size (which is equivalent to an US Queen size bed). There are many nice sitting/reading areas inside the hotel as well as chairs and tables on the greenery outside of the Hotel. The food at the hotel is also excellent. It is a place where you can just stay inside, relax with a good book to read.

Amazing quiet luxury to return to after a day of exploring in the Cotswolds. Parking was easy and our room was splendid. The bathroom has great products and was always immaculately clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds are divinely interesting and beautifully maintained. Breakfasts were amazing and fresh. Best Benedict’s ever because of the Hollandaise sauce. The fruit options for breakfast were fresh. The vegetarian English breakfast was wonderful.

The Lords of the Manor is a unique hotel, it has a lot of history, it is small, the staff are professionally friendly, the locale the Slaughters are so Cotswold and the surrounding towns are a joy to visit. Bourton on the Water and Stowe on the Wold are two examples. But the attraction is the hotel itself, the atmosphere is calm, the public rooms are so tastefully decorated as are the bedrooms/suites and it is a joy to return to.

It is a lovely hotel. Some of the decor is slightly dated and the food in the restaurant is very average for the price point. It appears to cater to mass US tourism which means some of the Cotswolds charm is lost. However the staff are lovely and super helpful, the hotel is clean and well looked after and the grounds are stunning and we felt very welcome with our dogs
