Great location approx 12 mins walk from station we used BTS and MRT train to get from BKK airport so cheap less than £2ntook about 1.15 hours

Staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The room we stayed in was nice and cozy and had everything we needed. Beds are a little hard but we got used to it. Breakfast is excellent with a range of western and eastern options.

Location is excellent and right near train stations, buses and several shopping centres.

Will probably stay here again next time 😊

The Serene was a very nice property, with friendly and helpful staff in a great location with everything you need within walking distance. Public transport was close by.

Only issue I had was having to change rooms due to a very unpleasant odor from the AC system; second room was fine.

Note: use the ‘Clean My Room’ card or it may not happen in a timely fashion.

Property was exactly what we needed for a 2 day stay in Bangkok. The area was conveniently located to the temples (maybe 25 min/$300 baht grab) and there are tons of bars and restaurants around. There’s also a train near by. Staff is friendly and the hotel offered many amenities including pool, room service, massages. It’s also a quiet street and the hotel was very clean. The only challenge we had was the hair dryer which was basically unusable because it wasn’t powerful enough. Would stay again!

The staff at Silom Serene are top-notch - friendly, professional, and always willing to help with taxis, tourism advice, and more. The hotel itself is well-appointed, with a pretty lobby and quick elevators.

Our room was clean and comfortable, though we found the mattresses unusually firm and the room had a musty smell overall. Running the air conditioner helped a lot with the mustiness.

The hotel's breakfast buffet (not included in our room rate) is typically expensive compared to alternatives and the quality doesn't match the convenience. There are several excellent cafés and bakeries in the area and Monday-Friday you can find breakfast food carts across the street serving fresh, hot street food and coffee.

We didn't use the pool, but it looked lovely and well-maintained.

Overall, I highly recommend Silom Serene for a downtown Bangkok stay.

Perfect location handy for everything. I went for medical tourism and Silom serene service was exceptional. Staff were so lovely and helpful. The concierge gets the best cars. Room service steak and salad was perfect. The spa lady Ni is so nice. I thought the massage and facial was good but you haven’t experienced a pedicure until you have had a pedicure from Ni. Close to everything I needed.

Nice little hotel, very quiet despite the madness of Bangkok just around the corner.
My room was huge and very comfortable.
My only issue was that the hot water was tepid at best, and a longed for bath did not happen.
Pool / terrace area could do with some attention as looking rather tatty and forgotten about.
Didn't do food so cannot comment, but the presentation looked great.
Great location for bars and the local gay scene.
Will definitely stay again.

Location is great with lots to do in the surrounding area. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Biggest issue encountered was our room reaked of cigarette smoke. I suspect this floor was once smoking friendly, as approximately half of the floors in the building are still smoking friendly. The staff were willing to spray air freshener a few times, but this only masked the smell for a short period of time. I struggled to sleep for a few hours each night due to a burning sensation in my nose and mild nausea from the smell. Cockroaches were seen immediately outside the building (but never inside); this may be normal for Bangkok, I’m not sure. Best part of the stay was the value (excellent price for square footage).

OK, but quite basic and not boutique.

This was an OK hotel, but calling it 'boutique' is quite a stretch. It was fine for a weekend. Good service, I arrived and was put in a room facing the street, but asked if I could change to a room facing the garden and pool instead, which they allowed me to, I really appreciated that.
The decor and overall condition was quite run-down, my estimate is that the last time this was refurbished was the 80's or 90's? Some of the furniture has ripped upholstery, and the hole room just seemed very dated. In my definition, a boutique hotel wouldn't have laminated A4 menus in the lifts, and the decor and overall condition could be better and a bit more unique. The room and bed was clean overall, but there were long black hairs on the bathroom floor and in the bathtub.
The pool is nice and fairly serene, but beware that it is not manned. If you are there longer than 10pm, no one comes to check if anyone is still using it, they simply just turn off all the lights, leaving the garden in total darkness. This happened to me two nights in a row. Would have been nice if someone could just pop their head out and let the guests know that they are closing for the night. This was an OK hotel, but the high rating is confusing to me. I'd probably give it a 5-6/10, not 8/10.

Great location. Nice hotel. The breakfast was lacking. First time staying in the Silom area in Bangkok. Very easy to get around. Both BTS and MRT only a few blocks away. The hotel seemed a little dated but the real disappoint wes the breakfast. Not that it was bad. It just wasn't special in any way.

On arrival, I had to raise my voice cause the hotel changed the room condition without any notice and they said I have to wait for another day for the room I booked. It didn't make any sense as I should get what I booked or needed to be noticed in advance. So I can decide if I stay here or cancel.
Anyway, they gave the room that I booked at the end. Which means, they had a room but didn't give until I started arguing.
Apart from that, the location is great. Easy to access anywhere by taxi, bus or even train.
So many local shops and markets in walking distance.
Staff are very nice.
Small swimming pool but cute.
Cleaning attended everyday.
Little bit smelly at first but got better later.
Affordable price.
In general, most things are great.
I'd like to stay again if I visit Bangkok next time.

A nice stay in Silom Serene hotel.

We have a very comfortable stay in this hotel. The room is spacious, clean and it is near to BTS & MRT via walking distance. We would like to recommend the excellance service of the cleaner lady at level 8 and the bell person at the main entrance( he show us the surrounding area around the hotel and help us to book a taxi to the airport with very reaonable price). We would rate the hotel all excellance but because the hotel reception show us cold face and refused to let us check in early on the first day. Tell us the check in time is 2pm.

Unacceptable behavior. By checking they denied breakfast included so I had to show my booking. Second morning after breakfast the waiter run after me with a bill for the breakfast of my companion. She requested me to go with to reception and I showed my booking. No apologies, e or show of friendliness. So I checked out from this hotel 1 day earlier.. What kind of staff with worst behavior. I had 3 weeks before a heart surgery and couldn't stay longer to avoid more stress.

Overall a great stay.

What can i say ? Everything went very smooth, check-in and out, great location, short walk to restaurants, shopping, entertainment. immaculate large bedroom, nice bathroom. Comfy bed, super quiet. I like the 4 lamps, no ceiling lights which give a very home feeling. American Breakfast at the restaurant, very pleasant with coffee, juice, egg, bacon etc and fresh fruits.
Overall an excellent quality to price ratio. We will be back. A little surprise.. On the Hotels.com site it is advertised as Non-smoking room, BUT BUT on the coffee table in my room there was an ashtray and a box of matches. Hotels.com should clarify.

Best burger ever at the hotel restaurant.

Good value hotel. The Arno’s restaurant has the best burger I’ve ever had in Thailand. Sorry, but after 6 weeks of travel into different hotels, the thing I like about this hotel the most is the great burger at the hotel restaurant.
