Nice reception area and friendly staff. I have to mention the fact that the rooms are a little worn out and some refurbishment could be in place. Pool is not heated, which made it too cold for use during wintertime obviously.

It was very nice hotel, with shuttle transportation and located in a nice area with huge shopping one block apart.
The breakfast is a buffet and if you don’t have time to enjoy it, it does not offer simple coffee and toast with butter and jam. This was the only thing that I suggest them to improve.
The people at the front desk (depending, not all), were not very helpful. In many hotels they provide the information about everything.
It was not the case with them when we checked in.

I needed a cost effective place to stay near LPA airport for one night before a 09:30 morning flight. This hotel was simple and functional. Whilst the location won’t blow you away if you’ve been staying in one of the beach resorts, the price and free airport transfer more than make up for it as an airport hotel. I used the free airport shuttle which starts at 7am and took under 10 minutes to the terminal.

Good all round stay,Staff and hotel was good except our bathroom was very shoddy.Tiles smashed and coming from the wall and the bath had to be filled via the shower as the valve was stuck for the tap.

My daughter and I stayed here one night before our flight to the USA. It was convenient to the airport and the staff not only spoke English but arranged for early morning transport to the airport for us. The beds were comfortable, the rooftop pool with a beautiful view was a bonus and the food was good too. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very good stopover hotel

I stayed here with my wife for 3 nights before moving onto a holiday on the island. The hotel was excellent with a small gym and roof top pool both available to hotel guests. The hot buffet breakfast consisted a choice of bacon, eggs, beans, tomato but the sausages were European not Irish or British pork but when in Rome .......................... There also was a large choice of fruits, cold meats, cheese, etc. No complaints. We would definitely stay again especially if on an early morning or late evening flight

A hotel close to the airport

It is a great location if one wants to be close to the airport, other than that I don't recommend it. The hotel staff were not very welcoming. The corridors are dark with old carpets. The room was clean but old. The bathroom has been recently renovated and it was nice. When we entered the room it was a strong smell of cleaning material in the room that it was to stay in it without opening the windows.

Terrible very dirty not the room we asked for had to wait till next day for double bed. So moving rooms more than resting. Rude staff my husband reported fridge broken women did not care.so much dirt and dust when moved unit had to move unit to see if fridge was plugged in to be honest was disgusting expecially for the price!!!!

We needed somewhere to stay near the airport. The hotel isn't all that close but was very easy to get to and the free shuttle bus was very appreciated. We had an early flight to another country so having the breakfast start early enough for us to have breakfast before setting off was appreciated. We hope definitely to be able to stay here again.

Hotel is a good location for the bus and mall. Staff where helpful. The only thing I found was the bathroom had a odour all the time but other than that it was an enjoyable stay. We originally booked for six nights but had to change our booking due to flight changes the hotel was very kind to change our booking even tho it was a non refundable so that was nice. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Good hotel with minor flaws, very nice Hotel, layout excellent, lovely rooftop pool and sunbathing area. Used by a lot of flight crews, lovely setting, well set out between restaurant & bar. We were on the 3rd floor and what was annoying was no set time for your room to be made up, always a smell of drains when we returned to our room late in the afternoon, and still had to go out while the room was made up!! when it had been empty all day! Always a towel short and had to keep asking for a replacement. Sorry to say the restaurant / bar food is not the best, well when I say restaurant, I mean the \"menu of the day\" so we elected to eat out locally as there are some fine restaurants around the area. Breakfast is fantastic with everything you could expect from a 4* hotel, breakfast was excellent each morning and the waiting staff were also excellent.

One night stay for two people, nice clean room. Breakfast if a little chaotic was fine with a good choice of items. Rooftop Pool has some good views of the surrounding area. Was able to secure late check out on the following day which was a bonus. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Would have no hesitation staying here again.

We booked into this hotel on the last night of our holiday so that we were close to the airport. It looks pretty grim from the outside, but we loved it. Comfortable and friendly, with sunny, if windy, roof pool. It was New Year's day,and everything was closed, so we struggled to find a place to eat in the area.We had to opt for MacDonald's. We could have eaten in the hotel but the 8pm restaurant opening time was too late for my mum and I as we had 3.45 am start. The hotel is a ten minute drive from the airport and we arrived on time and rested. We will be sure to stay here again.

1st room wasn't made up & was single beds. Returned to reception. 2nd room no balcony. Told to call back the next morning. Male receptionist quite rude, told us we had to take single beds if we wanted a balcony or stay where we were........ All that messing about put me in a bad mood....... Couldn't believe the hotel had no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. The rooms are modern & beautiful with very thick mattresses and great pillows & large TV's. Roof top pool too cold to swim in. No entertainment, not even backing music. Now I have gotten that off my chest, the location is great. It's next to a great shopping centre (large supermarket also inside). Sandwiches starting at 1 euro. Great pizza place has fabulous food & is always busy. Breakfast was great with lots of choices.

Stayed here for 2 separate nights at beginning and end of a holiday to Gran Canaria. Nice buffet breakfast. Hotel is next to a shopping mall with restaurants etc. You can also walk into the local town. Lovely big rooms. Comfortable bed. Very good staff!

Very central pool has improved year on year

I have stayed at this hotel probably 20 times minimum.
Some people don't like breakfast but I can't say I have a problem selection of individual boxed cereal, toast maker loads of fresh fruit and limited hot food.

Tried to go by bus to Las Palmas, but there was no direct bus, so we went through all towns, using one hour + one hour delayed bus. Taxi 30 minuts back (but 5 x busprice for 2 persons). Nice free airbus shuttle from 8 a.m., that was a plus.

Great week - Great hotel find

My husband and I stayed for one week and we wanted an hotel that was away from the tourist areas. We could not have chosen better. The shuttle bus was waiting when we arrived and took us back to the airport for our return journey.
We had breakfast every morning which was excellent but didn't have any evening meals as we preferred to go into Vecindario which was easy walking with very friendly helpful people everywhere. Some excellent tapas bars, a few restaurants and brilliant ice-cream shops ! For those who like shopping there is a large commercial centre 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
We loved the roof-top pool but it could get very crowded in the afternoons and run out of sun-beds.
We had a junior suite on the 4th floor south facing which was great but if you are not comfortable with traffic noise you may find this an issue - we did not.
We are certainly going to visit again. Thank-you to all the hotel management - especially for swiftly re-opening the pool after the storm damage

Gorgeous hotel but far out

We knew when we booked we were closer to the airport than playa de ingles but apart from the bug shopping centre a 2 minute walk away there was nothing. No bars and the hotel bar was pretty pricey! But a gorgeous hotel and thee comfiest bedo I've stayed in with the best pillows! Clean and well maintained!

It was more like a 3star hotel versus a 4 star, a little outdated and could use a refresh. The pool above due to old pipes did not have a pleasant smell and proximity to the highway didn't make you want to hang out there. The breakfast was okay and the staff were very pleasant. Overall a good airpot hotel but its not an executive place.

Great high end but affordable hotel, within 15 minutes from the airport and 20 from downtown Las Palmas. Beaches close by as well and shopping mall, restaurants and movie theatre across the street. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of food selection, underground parking and a comfy restaurant by the lobby. Overall a great choice.

Nice hotel near to the airport.

A great hotel to stop off at on the way to our timeshare. We stayed here for two nights and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The hotel is near to a shopping complex and Resteraunt's. The hotel and staff were great. We would definitely stay here again.

A thorough enjoyable stay; complimentary shuttle.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I was worried about a previous review which said hotel in the middle of nowhere. The island is volcanic but the weather is great. The hotel was close to airport, shopping mall, restaurants, beaches & city-Las Palmas. Lovely Breakfast included and complimentary shuttle service from the airport as well nice and welcoming staff. I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and enjoyable experience. Thank you once again.

Excellent hotel, 1 minute from the circular motorway, but you can't see or hear it. Rooms standard modern hotel room, wifi fast and reliable. Underground parking plenty of spaces and secure, reasonably priced or get it included with the room. Massive Carrefour supermarket 5 mins walk with lots of other shops, and restaurants. Very quiet hotel, great experience, generally for businesses and conferences but they cater for everything and are well priced, a total absence of obvious tourists at breakfast, which was also good good. If you have a hire car (and seriously get a hire car so you can experience the whole island) then I don't know where's better, honestly.

Staff was very kind. Hotel claims it has parking, but its only a few spots that I could see, fortunately we were able to park on the street for free. The rooms were clean but seemed a bit dated. The pool looked nice, but I didn't have time to try it out. Overall, if you need a hotel for the airport, the price is right and it does the job, so I'd suggest it.

2 night stay due to very early flight home to UK and closeness to airport. The hotel was good in most respects, helpful staff, good clean well equipped rooms, breakfast was really good. However from our room (2nd floor at end of left corridor if looking from main road) looking out of our window I could see clearly people drug dealing from the flats to the left. Although this did not adversely affect us it was always a worry when leaving the hotel in the evening to go for food so we always walked in the other direction towards the shopping centre. There is a large open concrete space at the rear which seemed to be a place for youths to congregate and again I saw a youth hide a 'Stash' in a cactus plant. I know what I'm talking about as have experience in law enforcement.But all that said hotel suited what we needed and managed to easily get a taxi at 4.30am for the airport (19 euros) 10 mins at that time of day. Would use again with the knowledge we have gained from this stay.

False info about airport shuttle

This could have been a positive stay: clean, modern business hotel relatively close to the airport. The problem: false advertising about the airport shuttle. We had to stay a night in Gran Canaria just to catch a connecting flight - booked this hotel because it advertised free airport shuttle. At time of booking, we indicated that we'll need a shuttle at arrival and departure.
Since no one contacted us to confirm our arrival time, and there is no shuttle schedule/details on the hotel web-site, we emailed the Reception several days in advance. They responded that shuttle only runs till 18:00 on arrival date (no info about date of departure), and we'd need to take a taxi to get to the hotel (one-way taxi adds 30% extra cost to hotel stay). When I responded with some clarifying questions (and to inquire again about date of departure) no one ever got back to me. We had to hire a taxi to get to the hotel. On the departure day, we were able to take the shuttle, but it was also not a pleasant experience (it has to be booked in advance, runs infrequently and was 10 minutes late vs. posted departure time - all making it stressful to get to the airport in time). The staff was not helpful at all during this experience (no one ever apologized for not responding, being late, etc).
We come to Canary islands often and stayed in many hotels - all others were VERY nice, caring and treating guests like friends. So I highly recommend skipping Elba Vecindario.

Nice hotel close to airport

Vacation with my daughter. Hotel located close to airport and about a 15 - 20 minute cab ride from resort area. We're able to experience Gran Canaria both from a tourist experience and also a more local everday lifestyle experience.
