This is the second time we have stayed here. I have nothing but good things to say about Royal Angkor Resort. The place is clean, the staff very friendly and the food is very good. The resort is not too close to town, but close enough to be convenient. The rates are very reasonable too.

I would recommend to anyone to stay here, you won't be sorry.

I thought the hotel was rated as a 5 star but i disagree. I will give the resort no more than 4 stars. The building is old, the AC is not always running in the common areas. I had a massage and i had to share my room with a male friend because they only had one steamer. Although there was a curtain in between, it was kind of uncomfortable. If i had known, i would've selected a different type of massage.
The Buffett breakfast was good but the juices were not freshly made. The OJ tasted like Tang.
The staff was super friendly though. No complaint about it.

This ia a beautiful hotel. The entrance is magnificent, the decoration beautiful, the room was large. Ours had a balcony looking to the wonderful swimming pool. The staff very friendly and cooperative. They have shuttle service from and to the airport which us really convenient. They will also take you on the shuttle to other places.

Amazing service!

We had a lovely stay from start to finish. All of the staff we met were very friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. It was special being farewelled at the start of each day as we went out and then being greeted when we returned. The pool was lovely and the food excellent. I found my bed to be a bit firm but my friend found her bed to be fine. I would definitely make a beeline for the resort if I go back to Siem Reap.

Restaurant not great and breakfast was a scrum due to large tour groups. Staff were very good especially Grace at the front desk and Tuk Tuk number 10 was also excellent.Wifi was a challenge.

The hotel is close to the airport (less than 10 minutes) but far from the downtown area--you'll need a tuktuk or complimentary shuttle. Be forewarned, though, you must book the shuttle in advance and there's no guarantee you'll even get on (this happened to us as it was full). It also runs limited hours, so you need to plan accordingly. The rooms are nice--nothing special, but comfortable bed! Breakfast buffet was good--wide variety of food. However, do not eat in the restaurant--the food is overpriced (banana \"smoothie\"--was literally a blended banana in cold milk--was $3.75 and so not worth it (especially when you can buy a large DELICIOUS one off the street for $1.00). Food is typical hotel food--overpriced and pales by comparison to the cheaper eats not too far away. We left at night and didn't have time to head into town for a final meal. The staff was very accommodating and gracious. Would definitely stay again.

The bed was very hard and large so it was difficult to get out of the bed in one side since it was almost against the wall and no end table was there to place glasses, etc.
There was always an odour in the hallway and room and they piped the same music through the hallways which was annoying.

Best hotel we stayed at for our entire month long vacation!! The staff are beyond fantastic!!! Attend to your every need!! Gave us a later check out due to husband being sick and even brought a fruit platter to our room!! The food was possibly the best I ate in Cambodia!! And great pool!!

Hotel is close to Seim Reap Airport

Very good hotel, staff were very attentive & helpful, the hotel is starting to show a bit of age but the furnishings are very good with artefacts right through the hotel/resort. The grounds are magnificently beautiful & the pool area is excellent with one of the biggest pools i've seen. The buffet breakfast was excellent . The room itself was large around 26sqm & clean, bathroom clean & has a shower separate from a very deep bathtub/spa.

A Resort With An Old World Charm in Siem Reap

A warm experience right from the time we checked in. The staff are always striving to please and ensure you are comfortable. Service is prompt and reliable. The hotel is situated very close to the airport on the highway and a distance fro the city centre. So if one plans to hit the nightspots and sample the central entertainment it will be a bit of a commute. The hotel has arrangements for transport with a regular bus service that is free and can summon a tuk tuk or a taxi at short notice. We took a taxi for a dinner out at the FCC and the tuk tuk driver even waited for us and brought us back to the hotel!
Watch out if you are a vegan or a strict vegetarian as breakfast and meal options are severely limited! The chef did rustle up a decent fried rice dish and a vegetarian noodle dish once he understood that we wanted 'jay' food!

All in all an enjoyable and very comfortable stay. The staff and their ever smiling attention make you feel right at home!

Beautiful rooms and a massive swimming pool.

The staff were so polite and welcoming. They catered 4 your needs. I had my birthday while staying there and they brought me up a fruit platter and birthday cake and also sung happy birthday 2 me. I felt so special. I was unwell while there and they would check on me all day 2 c if I was ok. Would definitely go back there again and recommend the hotel 2 all my friends and family. Hoping 2 go back next year. It was a very clean hotel with an amazing swimming pool. Would like 2 esp thank Miss Grace who works there. She was so caring and would do anything we needed. Best hotel I have ever stayed in. We didnt want 2 leave.

We were picked up by a polite driver at the airport and received a warm welcome by a staff with good English and big smiles. We could take a shuttle bus of the hotel to the town. We could also make a special request where to drop and pick us up along the route.

It's kind of far from the town but it's worth it.

The hotel decor is classic with a beautiful swimming pool, the staff are great and the free breakfast is a plus. The location is a little far from town and Pub street but it's worth the cost of a Tuk Tuk to be away from the noise and partying. I'm glad I chose this hotel and will stay there again if I ever go back to Siem Reap.

We booked through Wotif on the day we arrived in Siem Reap, after suffocating from our initial Princess Hotel (don't book this place) that was booked for us by our travel agent's agent ( Princess hotel was mouldy, hot aircon air etc, felt like a ghost hotel, apparently closed for 3 years and recently reopened 2-3 months ago).

We were shuttled from Princess Hotel by Royal Angkor Resort shuttle van immediately, very friendly driver, were guided to checkin, had welcome drinks while the room was prepared. The kids were tired by then, so they slept well once we went to our room.

Very happy team of staff here, made us feel at home during our stay here, well done!

Breakfast was good, swimming pool was the kids favourite (6 and 4 year old), apparently the largest swimming pool in Siem Reap, according to Sovathdy who was the manager when we checked in. Kids loved the shower into the pool from the elephant statues.

Overall a wonderful place to stay, highly recommended. Food was delicious, especially the Cambodian style fried rice 😋

Special thanks to Sovathdy for being so accomodating after our traumatic experience at Princess Hotel. You will go very far in life with your impeccable customer service and efficiency!!

Nice location but room troubles

Hi- Although the staff was very pleasant we struggled with issues in our room and every time it required at least two visits to the front desk to get something done. First our safe broke and I couldn't get my money out and finally they had to replace the whole safe but it took forever. Next the AC was impossible to regulate- it would be freezing and not adjust to cool or be stuck at warm temperatures and not cool. After several trips to the desk we had to be moved to another room for the night to sort it out. Finally for two days we had no hot water- they finally fixed it. The room curtains were also stained. I did not see this as a 4.5 star hotel.

I love the hotel and would go back in a minute, however, there needs to be a head of housekeeping & maintenance to do periodic inspections. e.g. a ceiling tile was not installed properly, electrical outlets needed to be sealed to the wall, there should always be an extra roll of toilet paper even if a new one was put in. More than l Kleenex tissue should be in the box. When we could not get the jets in the bath working, maintenance came up and fixed it immediately. The breakfast was fabulous catering to all types of tastes. Concierge made excellent recommendations of a guide & driver.

2 nights stay for the 20th 1/2 Marathon Race

Stayed there 2 nights for the 1/2 marathon . Hotel forgot to pick me up from the airport so i took a cab but they reimbursed the cab charge . Swimming pool is nice . Breakfast is average. Hotel is not far from the pub street and its about 15 minutes by tuk tuk.

A bit expensive for what is on offer

On paper it sounds like a good deal. The room prices include Airport transfer, buffet breakfasts, free wifi, and also shuttle to the city centre of Siem Reap. The staffs tried hard to please, but their English is not too good. The swimming pool is huge, and nicely managed. Breakfast buffet is good, got good selections of fresh fruits and bread. The Spa is overpriced, the service is only average, especially the male staffs.
The room price is $60 per night, Location wise, it is basically an airport hotel, which is only 5 minutes ride away. It is quite far from the Siem Reap centre, it take 20 minutes by tuktuk, and even further to Angkor Wat. The hotel is used by tour groups, their luggage packed the lobby every morning. The room are dated, furniture looks old but the lobby setting is impressive.
During my stay, they forget to clean my room, just imagine after a day sightseeing in Angkor, you come back to a room with no clean towels and dirty cups. The sink seems blocked and the repair came slow.
I suppose it is OK if you want a base in town to do sightseeing in Angkor. At least the area, unlike the centre, is quiet and you have a good night sleep, and walking in the garden in the morning before the sightseeing is a pleasure. But for that price, you probably can find somewhere nearer to town, better service and with the same level of comfort.

Of course we were in Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat and other temples, so we hardly used the facilities such as the pool, as we were out every day. Though the hotel is not that new, it is very well maintained and welcoming. The room was big and had all the usual amenities, and a spa bath as well as a shower. The buffet breakfast selection was extensive though lacking some of the usual English breakfast staples, as it catered mainly for Asian tastes but we certainly didn't starve. The staff are fantastic. If you are into the nightlife, this hotel is a little far from town but there are plenty of tuk-tuks to make the journey for US$2-3.

The service you receive form staff at this hotel is amazing. They are always happy to help with any of your needs. The pool area is very nice, our room was lovely.
The only negatives I see is that it is quite far from Siem Reap town, but tuk tuks only cost us about $3. Also, the restaurant was very quiet and quite expensive. We preferred to eat in Siem Reap.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel, especially for the price we paid.

Long weekend Family Trip

Hotel is wonderful, pool is stunning and spacious. Room was fantastic, breakfast amazing!

The hotel also offer babysitting at 3USD per hour, which we used so we could go out for dinner, such a treat for any couple with young children.

Location is a 10 min TUKTUK (2-4USD) ride into town. The hotel does provide a free shuttle too.

TIP, go to Raffles hotel for Tea, really a chic cheap treat and a wonderful building to enjoy.

While we didn't start off on the right foot (they forgot to pick us up from the airport), we ended our trip on a good note. The staff are incredibly quick to please the guests which was so nice to see. They upgraded us to a better room to apologize for not picking us up from the airport. Overall, the staff and their willingness to help make our stay as pleasant as possible was great. The amenities were good the swimming pool is massive and really refreshing to be in after a long day of temples! The breakfasts were great but we chose not to eat our other meals at the resort because the pricing was unreasonably expensive. The room itself was okay but could use some upgrades, especially the bathroom. The location of the resort was also okay but not ideal as it was a bit far from the city center. The wifi isn't super great either but it did its job for checking e-mails. The resort shuttle was available to take to the city but only runs every 2 hours so you'll have to plan accordingly or commit to a tuk-tuk. Overall, it was a good 3 night stay for the price.

Booked flight and hotel package online. Hotel did not get flight details from Expedia. No requirement stated on confirmation email from Expedia. Meant we waited for free shuttle, ended up taking taxi. Hotel staff are very friendly and resort is well maintained. Highly recommended. It's out of town, so great for families, and the pool is fantastic after a day at the temples. The bathroom shower water did not drain, but a call to housekeeping resulted in maintenance coming up immediately and sorting out the problem. Overall a good stay.

We stayed for 2 nights. The staff was excellent, very friendly, courteous & helpful! The inclusive breakfast was great. Our kids loved the pool! We were really impressed with the hotel as a whole. It was our favorite hotel stay in Cambodia. Pink carpet in rooms should be replaced to match the entire bedroom area & to give it a cleaner feel. The shower could use a better cleaning. Other than that, we loved this hotel & would recommend it!

Highly recommended- definitely going back there!!

Last minute holiday change and this exceeded my expectation. Staff all so friendly, welcoming and really a highlight of the hotel.
It is a bit dated but they make up for it in services/facilities and spa baths in the bathroom.
If you can drag yourself from the amazing pool, do the cooking class with them, is a lot of fun.

Royal Treatment at Royal Angkor Resort & Spa

This hotel is gorgeous! The pool is amazing, the restaurant is lovely, and the staff will go out of their way to make you feel at home. This hotel has excellent customer service. They will arrange for personnel tours, translators, and cars upon your request. My room was great and my bed was very comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on clouds. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax then the location of this hotel is great as well. If you want to go shopping or hit some restaurants down town, then you can take the free hotel shuttle or pay a few dollars for a “tuk tuk” ride.

Excellent resort-style hotel

Had a very relaxing and pleasant stay at the Royal Angkor. The swimming pool is fantastic and a great place to unwind after work or sightseeing. The staff were very attentive and helpful, down to providing a packed breakfast for guests doing the early morning trip to Angkor Wat so missing out on the hotel breakfast. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. I recommend this hotel highly.

Nice hotel for the price

No complaints.. Not the best hotel I stayed and a far cry from the worst.. The grounds were beautiful and the breakfast buffet had a very wide selection as well as being tasty.. The location was a bit far from downtown but it was only a three dollar tuk tuk drive.. For the price it was more than satisfactory

Opulent looking hotel

The hotel was ideally located, less than 10 minutes from the airport. The hotel provided airport collection and drop-off which was brilliant and a shuttle service to the town centre at very reasonable prices.
The breakfasts were filling, though there was only one chef catering for the egg stall, where there was always a queue, this could be improved upon.
The rooms were spacious and kept very clean by the housekeeping staff.
The pool was huge so never a problem swimming.
My fiance used the spa for massage treatment and gave good feedback to the service provided.
All staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful. We did misplace our camera and watch at the pool side just prior to departing to the airport and the pool staff were brilliant in ensuring we had the property returned, so thank you for that!

Would definitely recommend this quite classy hotel to you. A US$3 tuk tuk ride to the markets and Pub Street made for a fun trip. Great elephant theme at the hotel and the spa has a large range of pampering products.
