All staffs including the owners were really helpful and always putting a big smiles. We could see a lot of effort put in in the rooms and surroundings. Lovely dog, cat and fishes in the ponds. Market is just around the corner of the stay with local foods and goeries. Will definitely stay again if I come back to Siem Reap.

An amazing place to stay - a little jungle paradise! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, making sure to meet all our needs and requests (be it 11 pm or 5 am!). Easy to get to the city center by just calling a tuktuk using an app called grab - takes about 10 or so.

Amazing Staff, Fantastic Place to Stay

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this family-friendly resort, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for us—a mere 8-minute tuk-tuk ride into the bustling town center, yet peaceful enough to feel like a retreat. Transport was seamless, with tuk-tuks readily available for pick-ups and drop-offs without any hassle.

The staff at the resort were exceptional; they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, aiding us with genuine smiles and an eagerness to assist in any way needed. A standout moment was the breakfast, where we were delighted to find a special garnish from my wife’s country, which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch.

Our child had a fantastic time feeding the fish each morning, and I found working by the tranquil waterside to be incredibly serene, a perfect blend of productivity and relaxation. The air conditioning within our room was a blessing, keeping the space comfortably cool during the hot days.

Additionally, the convenience of having a nearby laundry service that returned our clothes clean on the same day was incredibly practical.

Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we highly recommend this resort to any traveling family looking for a comfortable, accommodating, and friendly place to stay.

Unfortunately the hotel is not offering all that is advertised. There is no restaurant or any food option, really. And it is out of the way making it difficult to plan for breakfast when we had early morning tours booked. Aside from that, the facilities are fine but there is a lot of construction next door and hot water was not always available. Also, we had to request clean towels and toilet paper, and room service was not provided each day. It was fine, but not what we thought we had booked.

Java Wooden was a wonderful place for our family trip to Siem Reap-- all staff were enormously helpful, friendly, and diligent.

Siem Reap is just beginning to re-open to tourism after 2 years of Covid closure: This has placed an enormous burden on small family-run hotels (most of the bigger hotels/resorts were shut down). Java Wooden has done a far better job than most places in maintenance, staffing and general standards. We expected for there to be some \"roughing it,\" and were pleasantly surprised at how well things worked out. Staff, above all, were straightforward about what they could and could not do-- and that's all that any visitor could ask.

Great charming and small hotel... away from noisy main street but close to everything with nice people in charge. The pool could be cleaner and they offer a certificate if you take a cooking class but we never get it.

Staff were excellent! Lovely ambiance. Food a little expensive. Shower difficult to operate but they DO have hot water once you figure it out. Tuk tuk driver Mr. Bone was very good and worth asking for as he is independent. Great Cambodian experience with only 8 units.

Lovely little oasis in Siem Reap

A short bit sweet stay at this lovely Villa. Rooms are tastefully decorated and beds super comfy! It’s close enough to many things to do in Siem Reap by Tuk Tuk. Staff are so lovely and helpful. I thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Interesting peaceful place not far from the center

Interesting peaceful place in Siem Reap not far from the center. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff helpful and always smiling. Pool side small but clean and with warm water. Small minus: breakfast very basic but with any style you like prepared eggs.

My partner and I stayed at Java Wooden Villa & Resort for 11 nights while we relaxed in Siem Reap. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating from helping us with tuk tuk rides into town to booking full day excursions. One of the hotel’s tuk tuk drivers, Mr. Bone, took us on two full day excursions to see temples, showed us around downtown, and even brought us to the airport at the end of our stay. Mr. Bone, you are the best! We highly recommend booking tuk tuk tours through the hotel at the front desk. The room was clean and included everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends and family visiting Siem Reap in the future.

We spent a week at this hotel and had quite an enjoyable stay. The pool and garden area is lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast selection on the first three days was quite limited but improved later on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service need to pay more attention to filling up bath products as this was not done.

Amazing!!!

We had an amazing stay in the Java villa for 4 nights. The rooms were spacious and clean to perfection. All the staff were super nice, attentive and friendly; always welcomed us with a smile. The hotel provided us with a tuk tuk service as and when needed which was very useful for us when we visited Angkor Wat, Floating village, Night market. I would definitely recommend this beautiful villa to anyone whos looking for a place to stay in Siem Reap, trust me you will not be disappointed. Will defintely return in the near future. The hotel was very nice and clean. Everyone was helpful and kind. They even offered to pack our breakfast for a very early tour we had arranged (4am). The only part that could be improved is the breakfast - food quality is great but it doesn’t have a lot of options for a 4-star hotel.

The staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. They arranged a free pickup for me at the Siem Reap airport, which was very helpful. They also helped me to arrange a tour to Angkor Wat temples. The facilities, including the room and swimming pool, are clean and well maintained. The breakfast was copious and very yummy, with many Western and local options. In summary, a very positive experience there.

The best place to stay in Cambodia!

Java Wooden Villa is a slice of Heaven hidden in the bustling town of Siem Reap.

The villa is gorgeous and you immediately feel relaxed and serene upon entering.

The staff is amazing and wonderful. Every need and request was accommodated with a smile. Every amenity is available so no need to book with a big hotel.

The food and service is superb! The best green mango salad I’ve ever had!

We will definitely be coming back to Java Wooden on our next trip to the Southeast Asia region. It’s worth making a special trip!

It was great experience for us. The villa has just 8 units, but a lot of people always kindly supports us. The location is apart from the city (pub street) about 2 km, but it takes just 10 min by a tuk tuk (2 USD ok). Every morning, we could meet different buffet breakfast with about more than 10 menu including hot noodle soup and omelet. Free airport pick-up & ride service and one-time free dinner for 2 were convenient for us. My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed 4 nights in two rooms. The tours suggested by the hotel were not so expensive, compared with ones of the other hotels. We used the hotel tours for two days, took a rest in a hotel for two days. If you want to enjoy peaceful vacation and not need to often visit the Pub st. for a long time, this hotel is perfect.

My husband and I were literally eaten alive by mosquitos, during the day and especially when sleeping. Our room had a large gap between the doors leading out to the balcony, allowing bugs to enter with ease and without hesitation. There was also a battle between my husband and a cockroach in the bathroom. A mosquito need over the bed would have made such a big difference. The hotel itself is beautiful and had great potential, however the cleanliness and feeling of mosquito violation has let them down.

Overall it is a very good experience that I'd never forgot. the staff is very kind and helpful, always smile and ready to help you everything. Manager is also communicable. this hotel is owned by a local owner with a lot of other properties in different tier in this city. So feel confident to stay here. We are lucky enough to meet the boss at his son's birthday party in our last night in this hotel, he kindly invited us to join the party. he is a generous man. we would like to say thank you to you. the only little problem is that in Hotel.com this property is listed with \"free dining\" as well as \"free breakfast\" but when we arrived we are told this free dining is only for one time. so it is a misdescription of the website.but after a communication with the manager, he agreed to give us free dinner everyday. So we are satisfied with such a responsable and trustable action. we do advise the hotel to ask hotels.com to modify the description to avoid misunderstanding and reduce the customer's dissatisfactory. In all, it is a place that I hope to come back again. Thank you very much for the staff and manager as well as boss.

Boutique resort with phenonmenal hospitality

We stayed here for about 4 days during which we experienced the phenonmenal hospitality. The resort is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. All the staff were very friendly, professional and polite. At times the staff even went beyond the call of their duty to help us. The receptionist Mr Boon Thieng and the Tuk Tuk operator Mr Coffee were very caring and friendly. The food is also very nice. We stayed there on the birthday of one of our friends and ordered a birthday cake. The staff bought the cake for us but didn't charge us for it. We will definitely stay there again.

Boutique hotel amazing service

I stayed with my wife and two teenage daughters for 4 nights. We were a little anxious on arrival as it is located off the main road but were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The hotel is small with 8 impeccable rooms, a pool and dining room and gardens. It was like an oasis on the outskirts of the town. The rooms were very luxurious and cleaned daily, efficient and quiet air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially Mr Coffee the Tuk Tuk driver. The food was limited menu but good quality. Overall a very memorable experience thank you

Perfect escape from the city! Little paradise

It was the most beautiful and relaxing hotel we had in Cambodia! The hotel sent us 2 tuk tuk to pick us up free of charge from the Siem reap center then We were welcome with a refreshing perfumed jasmin towel and some drinks. We had a dinner for two and breakfast included in our deal! Awesome! The rooms were perfect, clean and modern! The activities are a bit pricy (massage,visits, cooking class,...) but it is nothing compared to Europe. It is a bit far (by feet) from Siem reap famous Pub street however with a tuk tuk it is easily accessible! Staffs and manager super friendly and nice. You also can walk 5 minutes and reach some small shops where you can find everything. We had the best time there and I recommand it at 100%

Amazing Stay in Java!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It is a small, intimate place with beautiful and comfortable rooms.
The staff were very helpful and thougthful.
The hotel is located outside Siem Reap center which added some quiet and remaxing to our stay.
The city is easy to get to in a few minutes Tuk-tuk ride.
The hotel is in the north of Siem reap which facilitate the access to the temple.

We higlhy recommend this hotel and we'd be glad to come back.

Highly recommended place to stay in Siem Reap!

This is my first time to Cambodia and decided to stay in Java Wooden Villa & Residence after reading the good reviews. Glad that the hotel did not disappoint! Room is spacious, clean and uniquely designed. Even though the hotel is about 10-15 mins ride from pub street where most food is. We are so grateful to the whole staff for making our stay in Siem Reap so memorable.

Every expectation was exceeded with respect to our exceptional greeting and continued service throughout our stay at the Java Wooden Villa. The staff provides a sincere service-oriented atmosphere from Sun up through late in the evening and offers an exceptional stay that began with a surprise candle-lit 50th birthday cake & a beautiful Happy Birthday song greeting, while ending with hugs and forever facebook name-exchanges for lifetime connections to them as well as their amazing country! We stayed at two other fine resorts as we traveled Cambodia but thankfully wrapped our trip up with our most favorite as we ventured back to the ultimate Java Wooden Villa. We truly never wanted to leave!!!

out of the way, hard to find,

we had trouble finding the hotel and the local tuk tuk drivers could not find it either. nothing nearby to walk to so had to catch tuk tuk all the time.
restuarant food was very slow and we kept getting the wrong food delivered. they made no attempt to fix the problem or offer us something else, so we didn't eat half of what we paid for.
unable to make a phone call as the telephone in reception did not work, had to catch tuk tuk down town to internet cafe to make phone call.

Friendly staff. Well maintained hotel. Accommodating to most of our request.
If we were to pick an item for improvement, it is the complimentary lunch/dinner. As we stayed for 5 days, we have been eating the same meal daily. Suggest to vary the set meal menu.
Overall, it was a wonderful hotel and staff. We will definitely stay there if we visit siem reap again.

Great value, staff and accommodation!

What a great find this accommodation was! Good location, great rooms, pool and staff. Another great aspect was that there are only 8 rooms, so you never feel crowded in the resort, pool and grounds. The free bike hire was a nice touch, as a ride to Angkor Wat every day was a fantastic experience. Looking forward to coming back to Siem Reap and will definately stay at this wonderful accomodation.

部屋数は少ないですが、手入れの行き届いた緑の多い素敵なビラでした。ウドゥンと言っているだけあって柱や欄間など随所に木製品が使ってあり趣のあるお部屋でした。
フロントにいた女性ズィーナンさんはとても人懐こく、英語とともに日本語でいろいろ話してくださり、旅を盛り上げてくれました。
二泊利用しましたが、もっと居たかったなと思いました。
猫足バスタブのある浴室も素敵だったのですが、二日目の夜お湯がちょろちょろしか出なくてフロントに言ったのですが、何の対応もできなかったのは残念でした。
びっくりしたことに空港への宿のお迎えがトゥクトゥクでした。初めてトゥクトゥクに乗れうれしい経験でした。
