This was a great place to stay when visiting Lucca - located just outside the city walls.Easy to walk into the historic town center. Room was very nice, parking was very convenient and the breakfast was lovely! Only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer!

This was my second stay at this hotel, so clearly I was prepared to stay again. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, a real asset. Breakfast is good. Hotel is in a good location and has parking included. Very short walk to the city walls. Reception closes at 6.30pm, and we arrived at 7.30pm. Hotel contacted me with late check-in info on day of arrival, all very easy. The hotel was a great base for us for 4 nights.

On arrival, the driveway is quite narrow, with adequate parking spaces. The welcome reception is at the end of the garden. 4 couples arrived at the same time, and with one receptionist taking each couple back up to the house to show room/entry instructions, it took a quite to get checked in. They offered food and drinks whilst waiting, but the reception room was full of mosquitoes/gnats, so it wasn't pleasant to wait there. The room was traditional. We couldn't get the shutters to close properly, so light and noise came in from the main road in front of the property. The bed was a too soft for us. The buffet breakfast was adequate, typical European fare.
The checkout took a while, because the receptionist left the premises and the cleaner didn't speak English and found it hard to communicate with the 3 couples waiting to pay/hand back keys.
The location was excellent, literally across the road from the walled entrance of Lucca.

The room was very comfortable and nice and close to the walls of the historic centre of Lucca.
We have two suggestions:
A sign needs to be put on the front door directing people around the back of the building to the reception/check in. There is a sign over to the side about half but not in a noticeable area until standing there confused for several minutes and trying to ring an unanswered buzzer. When I mentioned to our host at check in that we didn't seen the signs to find her around the back she said \"other people have said that, too\". I would think that creates an excellent reason and opportunity to fix that so people don't feel stuck and lost.
Only other comment for attention is that the outlets on either side of the bed differ from the other plug configurations we saw in Italy and therefore our adaptor would not work. The only plug that would fit was near the toilet in the bathroom.
The breakfast was lovely.

We’re on a crusade through Italy and Lucca was one of the stops. The Villa was a large family home for a wealthy family once upon and now converted to a charming boutique hotel. Lovely property perfect when travelling with a car. Staff were very good. Property great location literally 5 minute walk across the road to the Old Town. On checkin asked about restaurants and we choose one of four Buratti in the Old Town which was fantastic excellent staff and traditional fare was delicious.

Luca in Villa Lucrezia was everything we could hope for, and more. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly and helpful. I have hip issues and stairs are difficult. I did not call ahead, or make any preparations for that. As soon as they saw me attempting to climb the stairs, they changed our room!
The rooms are spacious, and beautifully decorated. They are very comfortable. They are clean.

This is a gorgeous villa, just outside the walls of the town. The host was very accommodating when we got delayed on our way to the hotel and again when we had to leave early to get our ferry, also gave us some great recommendations for places to eat in lucca.

We stayed in room 9. We loved the unusual decor,cleanliness, the friendly staff, the good size of shower (not being the thinest of people), the air conditioning that worked really well, breakfast and the drinks and bits to eat in the basement dining room availability 24 hours per day. It also has a car park which was a worry if it did not have one.
The only issue we had was the place has no lift which meant we had to leave our large suitcase in the car.

Simply said, we wished that we had stayed more than one night! We had a two bedroom suite on the top floor, tastefully decorated, clean, very comfortable beds, and air conditioning! Snacks were available all day, and the continental breakfast had a twist...including scrambled eggs and pancakes. We took our breakfast out to the garden to enjoy the start of a beautiful day. The afternoon before we borrowed 3 of the hotel’s bicycles and rode several loops around the old town, atop the wall. A great stay...highly recommend.

Check in was easy. A bit. Oust as room was next to stairs. Ac didn’t work first night but was resolved immediately in the morning when we told them. Then temperature was nice and cool Bed had some uneven areas- depressions but otherwise fairly comfortable

Myself and my husband have been to Lucca several times and even got married there two years ago. This is easily the best place we have stayed in Lucca. The place is beautiful, staff so friendly, free parking and amazing breakfast which we had in the lovely garden. This is the first time we have stayed outside the walls however you are at one of the main gates within a few minutes walk so it did not bother us at all. We will definitely be booking again when we return to Lucca. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

This is a great hotel. Our room was excellent with separate bedrooms for us and the kids. It was also very quiet considering it is fairly close to the main road. Parking was a bonus.

Location of property was great for town centre. 'Superior' room right on busy road so had curtains closed whole time - ask to avoid. Breakfast only OK but good that you could get tea/coffee all day. In summary was OK but wouldn't have been happy if staying for longer then 2 nights.

We received a warm welcome and a choice of two rooms. The room and bathroom were a good size, warm and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and pastries, cookies, water and hot drinks were available 24/7. We were welcome to use the toilet and help ourselves to hot drinks even after checkout. A quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

Our family enjoyed our time in Lucca immensely. A true B&B with very comfortable room and amenities with a fantastic breakfast offering in the dining area. Situated just outside the walls of the old city but an easy stroll into the beautiful town. Being able to utilise bikes from the villa a bonus. We could not fault our stay in any way.

This was our second stay overnight in Lucca, the first time was quite a while back. We’ve always stayed outside the walls. That’s mostly from a convenience standpoint. Walking from the station to a periphery hotel is very simple. The Villa Lucrezia certainly met all our expectations. Warm greeting at check in with all the info we requested. Restaurant ideas, etc. Our corner room, Number 1, was spacious and quiet. Breakfast is downstairs and was ample. They also provide coffee/tea and snacks all day. Great to come home to after a cold day wandering the streets and lanes of Lucca. It’s included! I’d certainly make this my hotel/ B&B of choice when returning to this wonderful town.
