I had to modify my itinerary completely as soon I arrived at this hotel. False advertisement: the room they assigned to me was on a tower that was not even connected to the hotel. To enter that building we had to leave the main building and go across the street, they even had to guide us to get there. To enter you have to input a code and the room was next to that buzzing door we were not able to sleep with the buzzing all night and the scent of the towels and linens was very strong and gave me allergies.They also advertise free breakfast we went at 7:45 there was no breakfast not even water. Terrible experience.

We are from Scotland and stayed here a week from 8th November. Excellent hotel. Lovely facilities and fantastic quality. Lovely room ( although we would have preferred to be in the main building than the tower), extremely comfortable bed and all facilities first class. The hotel is excellently positioned for exploring Lucca and reaching the train station to wider explore Tuscany.Staff were all exceptional - breakfast ladies deserve a special mention, they were all lovely and very efficient -as do all the reception staff who likewise were very helpful and always willing and available to assist. We were very impressed. A special mention to Greta on reception. Not only was she first class in dealing with any requirements we had- such as booking a private transfer to the airport- but she was always smiling and cheery and nothing was ever a problem.

From our arrival the team at front desk are the best we have come across, thanks guys! So friendly, helpful as can be (unlike some others in Europe sorry to say). The property is superb, have no doubts. The Dependence suite is awesome, so big and 2 bathrooms located just across the street from the main hotel adjacent to one of the Towers on the wall! Great location. Food in Italy is overall terrible, but there’s a great little cafe just outside our family suite that had pretty decent food. There’s a bike shop next door that allowed us to rent 5 bikes for our family last minute for an hour and bike along the renaissance wall, which is a super easy flat bike ride. The Lucca train station is a 10 minute easy walk. The family suite has two sofa pull out beds that turn into approximately king size beds, and there is a king size bed upstairs. Two bathrooms. Overall, our family of 5 fit comfortably.

We only stayed one night. Our room was clean and worked well for us. There was a hot tub on a deck outside of our room. A little weird, but no one was in it while we were there. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They have valet parking, unfortunately the valet damaged our rental car, but fortunately we took the insurance. It is Italy!

Since when can you not check out early at a hotel. They charged me for a 4th nite when i checked out early after day 3. They stated 72 hour notice which is hard to do when you only stay 3 days. I feel like they cheated me out of my money and would like you to retrieve it. They were not sold out but they were attimate about it. First of all, we really enjoyed where this hotel was located. It was within the city walls and a quick walk to anything we wanted to go to. We went on a beautiful walk around the walls one morning. The room itself was pretty spacious for three people and well taken care of. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, they parked our car during our stay, helped us to our room, and gave wonderful recommendations. Their breakfast was delicious and provided a wide selection as well and they also provided snacks during the day in the lobby, including beer and prosecco which was an added bonus. Overall really enjoyed our stay here!

Hotel Ilaria is a lovely hotel in the cute town of Lucca. It is quiet, clean and comfortable with a perfect location for exploring the town. Breakfast was delicious with lots of healthy options in addition to typical Italian pastries. The evening complimentary happy hour was wonderful. I met some lovely fellow travelers and had a great time. The best part of the hotel is the staff. The young man at the front desk was extremely kind and welcoming. He helped me purchase tickets to an evening of opera as part of the Puccini festival. It was wonderful. This one staff member (apologies that I didn’t write down his name) made my stay extra special with his kindness. And he looked great in the green hotel uniform suit (as did the young woman too). Thank you for making me feel that hotel Ilaria in Lucca was my home away from home.

This is a beautiful hotel, easily accessed by one of the portals to the city. There is limited parking available on site. The lobby and breakfast area are lovely, Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it was large, comfortable, well decorated, quiet, and a short walk from the main hotel. We used the bikes cycling on the city walls; it was super convenient to have those on site. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.

Really enjoyed spending the night at this hotel :) only regret was I didn’t book it sooner. I had a really comfortable stay! I enjoyed the hot shower and the delicious included breakfast with yummy options and excellent coffee service. Location was good too but the rain limited my exploration. I would recommend using their parking service if you have a car especially since you’re in the ZTL zone… I believe it was €20. Only real complaint was unpleasant plumbing smell in the bathroom, although everything worked great and was really clean, I had to keep the door closed to keep smell out of the room. Minor issue was I could not get my phone to connect to the smart TV which I haven’t had issues with elsewhere. Also beware noise easily carries over. Umbrella for use was a nice touch thank you.
