Wonderful locarion; a little challenging to find but the employee came to us to ahow where it is and walked us to the parking. Also very helpful with suggestions on things to do and directions. The room was nice and sparsley decorated. Some rooms, ours 8ncluded, are right off the breakfast area so don’t plan to sleep in but it wasn't crazy loud. Would stay again.

Truly stunning property, elegant suite with superb attention to detail resulting in an opulent feel to our entire stay. The staff made our stay comfortable and so welcoming with a very high standard of personal service with lots of advice from where to eat to which paces to visit. Breakfast catered well for coeliac with lots of gluten free options. You will not find a more Italian feeling in Lucca. Thank you

We had a fantastic stay at La Bohème! Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of outlets and the breakfast was delicious. There is a fair bit of noise that comes through the bedroom windows from people in the streets below, but not much anyone can do about that.

Nice B&B in Lucca

This is a sweet B & B in a great, central location inside the city walls of Lucca. The breakfast was very nice and the hosts were also friendly. The B&B is very cute/stylish and is inside of a locked building on the 2nd floor. Despite being right in the center of things, it was very quiet in our room. Lots of shops, restaurants and historic cultural sites very close by. I appreciated the woman who checked us in as she recommended a restaurant for dinner and made a reservation for us.

The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. Breakfast was outstanding, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had great pressure with lots of hot water. Housekeeping had an eye for detail at this hotel; everything was clean upon arrival, and the turn-down service was thoughtful with my belongings while doing an excellent job at giving the room a refresh. I highly recommend this hotel.

This b&b is one part of a larger building. It is a little off putting to walk into a dark lobby filled with bicycles and strollers but once inside it is delightful. The owner is on the premises and the breakfast is really good. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable.
The location is terrific. It is inside the city wall and You can walk to anything.

This place is beyond charming. Amazing location. Lively breakfast. Ultra helpful and friendly staff. It was a little unnerving driving into the ZTL zone (and narrow!!) but we were assured that they send a picture of our plate in to the proper authorities and there would be no problem.

This hotel is very beautiful and the breakfast is excellent! The rooms are decorated well, it's in a very convenient location, and the hosts were so kind and gracious. We loved it here and wished we could have spent more nights exploring Lucca and sleeping on the comfy beds.

We really enjoyed our stay here at La Boheme and in Lucca. The room we had was large, with comfortable king sized bed and antique furniture. The bathroom is huge, with separate tub, shower, toilet and bidet. The water pressure in shower is great. All rooms are on the second floor, there is no elevator. WiFi is available but tended to be slow, almost too slow to be useful. No safe is in the room. Daily breakfast was great, with a large variety of breads, made to order eggs, and fresh coffee and cappuccino.

The owners have other businesses close by. There is typically no one on site for service needs besides breakfast - ever. You’re pretty much on your own. Initial check-in was challenging, no one was at the hotel at 2PM as advertised and the phone wasn't being answered. When present the staff was very helpful, even getting Puccini concert tickets and dinner reservations.

For those unfamiliar with old Italian cities, driving in the historic Lucca city center is a nightmare. I would not advise driving to the B&B unless you are very clear on how to get there, and confirming that the staff is actually present to let you in. We had a bad first experience and ended up parking outside the city walls.

Central, comfortable small hotel in Lucca.

I stay in many hotels and the service from this was excellent. Girls on Reception and breakfast service could not have been more helpful. If you bring a car, bring a small one, and pay for under cover parking €15 per day. Worth it. Lucca is a lovely old. walled city, park up and follow advice of the staff as to what to do and what to see. Have an opera aria taster, organ recital, walking tour or just walk the walls and choose from any number of places for an aperitivo and then dinner.

A lovely bed and breakfast in Lucca city walls. Convenient access to store, shops and outdoor dining.
The B&B was charming, the staff accommodating and willing to assist.
Only challenge was we came as two couples and there was no common space to gather.
La Boheme was a really good choice despite one of the beds which was less than comfortable.(It had a slope in the mattress)

Great location. Lots of excellent restaurants. We had a wonderful meal at Pepporosa. Reservations recommended. Sunday night was much quieter on the street outside our hotel room but still noisy. Someone banging spoons and making a racket until a local yelled out of a window to stop around midnight. City life!

A room with a view

The property is well situated within the city walls and central. The staff were very helpful and spoke some English. A great variety for breakfast and delicious. We unfortunately had a room on the street and the noise on a Saturday night was extremely loud and continued until very late. I understand they do have rooms on the inside of the courtyard.

We received great communication in advance of our stay and all our questions were answered. This property is right in the square of San Gimignano which is both wonderful in terms of convenience, but is also one of the reasons for my fair rating. We were in the Cisterna Room which overlooked the square. The view was wonderful but the noise until after 1 am was significant and the smell of cigarette smoke coming up from the square was not pleasant. As well, our bed was not particularly comfortable and VERY squeaky with every movement. The room itself was beautifully decorated.

Authentic and charming stay in Lucca!

We loved our stay at La Bohème in Lucca! The B&B is very much in tune with the city: elegant, refined and genuine. We felt very warmly welcomed in this little B&B with beautiful rooms (the high ceilings!!). The staff were extremely friendly, and keen to share recommendations and tips which made our short stay all the more enjoyable! A wonderful place to stay in Lucca!

Great B&B in awesome Lucca

Lucca was a real hidden gem for us this B & B was in the perfect location. We were welcomed by friendly hosts, the B&B has rooms named after operas, our room ‘Madam Butterfly’ was a spacious comfortable room in a quiet location. Whilst free parking is not available on site there are some free car parks just outside the wall near the cemetery and another by the Q8 petrol station. A walk around the wall is a must and only 4km. We would also recommend La Crema Matta the best gelato in Lucca. We just didn’t stay long enough to explore fully but if in town for a short while we’d also recommend Torre Guinigi (Guinigi Tower).

A bit cold, though during the winter. A bit noisy too (screaming baby in the evening from adjacent room, plus noise coming from the street). Low water pressure in thw shower. Robust wifi.

Great B&B in a wonderful location!

We loved our stay at La Boheme! The location is fantastic. Super easy to get to from the train station. We walked there from the station in the rain. That was harrowing, but in looking back it wasn't terrible. Super easy and a straight shot. We had to have help to get into the B&B as no one was onsite when we arrived, but within 10 mins we were inside and dry. Andreas who meet us and let us in was apologetic. We found the room large and comfortable. The room was lovely. It had wood beam ceilings and a chandelier. I loved the view from the window. Picture a narrow street with people and some cars driving through, but never felt loud or crazy. It was awesome. Breakfast was delicious. Nicolo will make you eggs if you like. He couldn't have been sweeter and more kind. We had to leave early on our check-out day to catch a train and so we went out for breakfast earlier than expected (breakfast is at 8:30) and he was unflappable even though we had surprised him by showing up early. The staff were great. Always had time for a chat or questions. Our room was very comfortable. We'd absolutely stay at La Boheme again.

We loved it. Right in centre of lovely Lucca. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room (but this is B&B not top hotel). Loads of character. Medieval building with stone stairs and ceiling beams. Good breakfast with eggs of your choice. Would definitely stay again.

A great B&B located in the heart of Lucca

We loved La Boheme right in the heart of Lucca and just off the main walking street. It was tucked away on the second floor with 7 rooms that were nicely decorated and comfortable. They have a wonderful full breakfast in the morning and the staff were very good with directions and restaurant choices. Since it was in the middle of Lucca, it was only a ten minute walk to the outside edge of the walking terrace that surrounds Lucca. I would definitely recommend this B&B as it was a good price and we love to stay in smaller hotels to get the flavor of the village or town.

The room was very authentic, staff was very warm and helpful, breakfast was great, Lucca is very small anyway but hotel's location is still very convenient. It's a historical stone building so it's cool inside but there's a heater. Would definitely recommend!

We drove to Lucca but didn't get all of the parking information ahead of time. You must know the parking info ahead of time if you're driving in. There are no cars allowed in the city center unless you pre-book with the hotel. Other than that, the room was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was outstanding.

We loved this B&B. We had a lovely decent sized room with a 4 poster bed and traditional decor. It was perfectly positioned and had great character and great staff. The breakfast was well catered. You could hear some of the street noise, but Lucca generally shuts down by 11pm so it didn't bother us.

Wonderful!

Not only is this hotel in a great location, easily walk-able to main sites in the city, but the staff is amazing. After a very frustrating experience with our Rental Car, Laura provided amazing assistance ensuring we got to the B&B easily with less frustration. She provided information on where to get food & drinks, what sites to see in Lucca and answered all our questions. She even coordinated a ride for us the following day when we needed to leave. The staff present for breakfast was also courteous and helpful. The room we stayed in was large, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The best hotel stay in our five day Tuscany trip. I wish we could have just stayed longer!

Die Unterkunft befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt. Besser kann man nicht wohnen. Der Betrieb wird familiär geführt und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Zimmer sind dem Haus entsprechend eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist übersichtlich jedoch völlig ausreichend. Ob Rührei oder Kaffee, es wird einem fast jeder Wunsch mit einem Lächeln erfüllt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden immer wieder hier wohnen.
