This was an amazing find in the wonderful historic center of Lucca. It is a private Palace with gorgeous historic rooms, easy parking for our one car and a wonderful welcome from both the owner and staff. It is in the center of the historic area and could not have been more perfect. The bedrooms were very comfortable and like something out of a movie.

This was literally the best stay we had in our 2 months of travel. I highly recommend to anyone. Owners are descendants from 13th century owners of this palace and he is sooo nice. Really great location and you will feel like not only did you visit Lucca, but you visited it 400 years ago. Cannot say enough great things. It was a palace. It was a museum. It was a perfect and unforgettable experience.

This was an amazing place to stay. The large rooms of the palazzo were gorgeous and evoked centuries of history. We did not ask about the air conditioning and so did not know how to turn it on when we returned late - an oversight on our part. The main bedroom’s bed had a very creaky bed frame and the pull-out bed was uncomfortable. However, the location was very good, the host was helpful, and the breakfast, very nice. We were only in Lucca one night but I would love to return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Palazzo Tucchi. The room was very clean and quite and we had a lovely private patio off our room. The staff were amazing and so helpful with everything. There was parking in their garage. We were within close walking distant to everything. We would definitely come back again.

If you are in medieval Lucca, what can better than staying in a 17th century Palazzo! Palazzo Tucci is in the center of the historuc town and when staying here, you are truly staying in a museum. From check in to check out, Anna was wonderful. The room was very nice and faced a quiet courtyard. The bathroom was huge, and yes, it has a tiny shower, but what can you expect when staying in an authentic Palazzo! They offer free parking in their private courtyard, which can be a challenge to get to, as most streets in Lucca are pedestrian only, but we soon discovered that you just follow the blue arrows to get to one of the gated entrances. The free daily breakfasts had a nice varoety for European breakfasts, and the dining room is simply spectacular! We stayed 4 days, and loved the town so much that we are now planning to stay 3 months in Lucca on our next trip!

If you want to experience living like 17th century royalty, this is the place! Our room and most of the public rooms were stunning. It felt like we were living in a museum (and we were.) There were a few drawbacks; a challenging bath/shower, city noise, and driving access was 'white' knuckle (tight streets with lots of tourist to wade through).

We wanted to stay in the heart of the city and Palazzo Tucci Residenza was the perfect place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and even brought us a breakfast basket to our room as we had to catch an early train. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel. A true palace that has been in the family for many generations and has been restored.

This is an experience not to be missed. We had 2 rooms, one a regular and the other the largest suite. We also viewed the other rooms and think we would prefer the junior suite and regular room to the enormous suite as there is not much furniture in the larger suite. My husband does like to watch TV after a long day of touring and we found the TV's to be a bit small for the size of the rooms. Upgraded linens and pillows would be more befitting of this grand property. Included parking is a big benefit and the staff is fantastic and very helpful. We will definitely return again. Great location inside the walls.

Palazzo Tucci Residenza d'Epoca (actually a Bed and Breakfast) is awesome! I forget the name of our host. But she was great from check-in to check-out. What's absolutely mind blowing is the building itself. The dining room is absolutely stunning with art work on the walls and ceiling. Our large bedroom and sitting area had art work to match. We went during their slow season. So we were the only people in the hotel. But they still provided us with a top notch, quality breakfast. The hotel is a short walk to most anywhere in Lucca. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend them.

Unique experience
We loved this extraordinary hotel. It's a palace that has been converted into separate rooms. If you only want the Marriott or Hilton type experience this isn't for you. It's a small hotel with all the necessities but not full service at your demand. We stayed with our two teenage daughters in a suite that was enormous. It had beautiful windows and was full of light. The decor and paintings are authentic. All the modern conveniences were available. Everyone in my family thought it was exceptional and will always remember our stay.

As the lovely lady that checked us in said, “We are a B & B, not a Hotel.” Our room and bath were incredible, the location is great and it is just wonderful wandering through the gorgeous rooms. But, there was no internet for 2 days (we both work, so that was a big problem), Breakfast was VERY basic, no room service, no mini-bar, no bar, no restaurant, no laundry, no one there past 8pm, although my husband got lucky & a night watchman let him in when he forgot the key. I’m so mixed about this - maybe if we hadn’t traveled from Praiano to Naples, then flew to Rome and then to Pisa, where we found out AZ had lost a bag, went through all the hassle of reporting, then drove to Lucca & badly in need of a drink when we arrived, I might feel differently. But at the price we paid, I just expected more. Guess I should have done my homework better. If you want to experience staying in a beautiful Baroque Villa, then definitely stay here. If you need more services, I would look elsewhere.

Authentically Italian
From the moment we walked into the palazzo, we were in awe. The woman at the front desk took time to wait as we parked in the private guest parking area, then explained the city and gave us recommendations of places to eat and things to see. The palazzo was incredibly well maintained and very clean. The only fault we found was the bed and pillows were very hard; I didn’t sleep well. Putting mattress pads on the beds would dramatically improve the feel. Other than that, it was a singular experience that would be hard to find anywhere else!

A beautiful and very special place
The Palazzo Tucci is a gem of a place to stay within the Lucca town walls. The property is ideally located with quick access to all parts of this beautiful town. The owner has taken great care in renovating the building, which offers only a small number of bedrooms. We (a family of five) stayed in a junior suite which was enormous and beautiful, with comfortable four-poster in the bedroom and a good sofa bed in the adjoining lounge. The decoration has to be seen to be believed. The bathroom was of a very high standard. Breakfast was taken in one of the grandest rooms I've been in with painted ceilings and art work adorning the walls. There was a wide range of good quality food available for breakfast.

Comfort and History within the walls of Lucca
This place was amazing. Built in 1003, the palace is still owned by the original family. They opted to rent the second floor to visitors and it is quite the experience. Access to the hotel is quick and simple. Once you arrive, you will be blown away by the beauty of the building. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Amenities included a safe, air conditioning, large rooms and the most wonderful breakfast. You can easily walk to restaurants, shopping and be sure to rent bikes to peruse the city.

Fantastic Palazzo - like staying in a museum
We were blown away staying at Palazzo Tucci. It was literally like staying in a museum - our bedroom must have originally been a ballroom - 100 square meters with 5 meter ceilings! The ceiling had beautiful gilding and stucco work and many of the furnishings were antiques. The breakfast was very good, the service was nice, and overall it was perfect. Excellent location inside the walled city of Lucca which is charming and delightful, and very lively even on Easter Sunday. We will definitely go back.

Staying at this hotel was the highlight of our trip. It exceeds expectations, makes you feel like you went back in time. The renovated Palazzo is in perfect condition. We got a room the size of an apartment with a foyer, the bedroom and a huge bathroom.
The staff was really nice and the owners (Tucci) are there to make sure everything is in order.

This is a charming Palazzo that has been converted into a hotel.

This was like staying in a palace inside the walls of Lucca. The room was enormous with 20-30 foot ceilings! It's more of a residence for a king. Great to be able to drive up to it and staff was also great.

We spent 3 nights in Lucca leaving the day the Comic and Games festival started. The palazzo Tucci was an amazingly beautiful experience. The staff were lovely, the room was huge with furnishings and artwork dating back to the 1800s.

We spent two night at Palazzo Tucci. We wanted a hotel with parking and that is how we happened on to this hotel. The parking is in a garage behind a huge gate and is very secure. The staff was welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were huge and our daughter's room had a living room and a sunny terrace. We felt like royals saying in this old palace. Breakfast was included as well as the parking and wifi. We live in Nice only a few hours away from delightful Lucca and we will return - when we do we will stay at Palazzo Tucci.

We have been to Venice a number of time and this was off the tourist high traffic areas and very nice. Easy to catch a water taxi to anywhere you want to go. Nice, clean and very spacious.

Fantastic authentic hotel within the centre of Lucca. Staff are fantastic, rooms are a very decent size, and the hotel is a former palace of sorts which has been restored back to largely original. A couple more days and I would have been speaking fluent Italian and smoking a cigarette with a black expresso every morning such was the ambience of this place. Great traditional Italian Breakfast, parking on site. Don's stay in Pisa (its only 30 minutes down the road by car anyway), stay in Lucca in authentic Tuscan digs and mix with the locals.

Amazing unique palace stay you won't regret
The Tucci palace is one of those magically unique hotel stay opportunities you do not get very often - to stay in a real palace (originally medieval) complete with ornate 18th century make over. The rooms are very spacious (additional lounge room before bedroom) with high ceilings beautifully frescoed. The lovely receptionist was very helpful and attentive, and it was also unique to have free parking considering the limited space within Lucca's walls itself. As an experience I would highly recommend a stay here. Only very minor point for improvement was that in our particular bathroom it was difficult having a shower over the bath without soaking the floor as there was no shower curtain.

A taste of the life of a noble.
Large rooms with high ceilings and painted frescoes seem underfurnished, but just because the rooms are so big! Located close to the main shopping street and restaurants. Parking behind locked gates is a definite plus. Generous, delicious breakfast. Staff very helpful. Street noise in the evening, but the windows closed completely shut it out. A highlight of the accommodation encountered during our trip.

Delightful experience in Family Palazzo hotel. There is history married with more than adequate modern convenience. The staff feel more like family retainers than just staff and they are very helpful, charming and welcoming. At times it felt as if we were the only guests with our own quarters of a very old city residence. There is parking which must be something of a rarity within the city walls. We couldn't have found a better place from which to walk out and experience all the history and charms of a wonderful town.

Tucked into the beautiful village of Lucca, these palatial accommodations are truly special. This beautiful B&B is set on the 3rd floor of what was once noble family's palace. High ceilings, huge old paintings and decorative wall treatment is everywhere. We were greeted by a lovely young woman who spoke a bit of English which was a big help. The breakfast spread was lovely. Cheeses, meats, sweets, and fruits galore. The only negative was that we only had one night to spend in this enchanting home. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience in Italy.

Amazing, unique one-off place! Only a few rooms, but the whole place is huge! We had a four-poster bed in our large room and our two children shared the pull-out sofa bed in the connecting room, so it was like a large suite! Staff very helpful and fantastic location in the centre of Lucca. Also has the advantage of being able to park in their adjacent garage (for free). Would definitely recommend it.
