It’s an old colonial type of hotel . It has retained its character which is different to modern hotels . Staff are friendly and always on hand . Sea view is excellent . Ideal warm waters to swim safely . I would recommend this hotel without a doubt

I really enjoyed my stay at this location. It is older building, but that gave it some character. Rooms were spacious, access to the beach area easy, very friendly staff. Since this is a smaller facility, it was not crowded, staff got to know you which made the stay more pleasurable. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Rooms that have a bathroom from another century...

Described as vintage property, retro. It's not, it's just dated. particularly the bathroom. You need to be an acrobat to get into, or out of the bath/shower and when you do the water is either scalding hot or lukewarm and barely trickles out anyway. The A/C sounds like a jet engine in the room, mine broke twice and was no better after the fix.
The property is sandwiched between a Marriot and an Intercontinental, both new properties, all charging roughly the same. Which would you prefer a room with modern plumbing, and facilities or one with a lavatory you can't throw paper into?

Access directly to the beach. 100m from quite a large shopping complex and a slow 15 minute walk to the central tourist area

Lovely hotel in the best location on the beach

A lovely quaint colonial style hotel which we found to be exactly as described. In the best position on the beach and with only 21 rooms there were sunbeds for all without any stress. Service was excellent from all the staff, breakfast was limited but more than sufficient and the rooms clean and comfortable if not a little dated. We spent a long time researching the area and hotels on offer and came away well pleased with our choice. We will definitely stay again

A great location right on the beach very quiet and traditional hotel staff were absolutely superb it could do with a bit of a upkeep as it's a bit run down in places but that's not the staffs fault. The rooms were really big and the balconies were huge. As for the breakfast it was a bit sparse in places there wasn't really anything that I was tempted to eat but then that's just me my opinion but again that wasn't the staffs of fault overall I would recommend this hotel

Great location right on the beach..7.11 at driveway entrance. Handy huge shopping center opposite..Great food vendors set up on the beach behind next property..staff are terrific..many different comfortable day bed styles outside. Some located in shade under roofs..many deck chairs for pool or beach areas..Clean sand..sea water a little dirty there..many dead fish floating..a local explained fresh water in flow can suffocate sea life at certain times of the year...Generous with supply of beach towels for use..

Relaxing hotel in a quiet beach front location

My wife and I noted the many positive reviews for this hotel and were not disappointed. It is located well away from the main road and only yards away from the beach - accessible via a few steps. Our separate villa faced the sea and we found it to be spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Complimentary fruit on arrival and supplies of drinking water were appreciated and the daily maid service was very efficient. The air conditioning was effective and the provision of an electronic combination safe meant that we could leave our travel documents and other valuables safely when away from the villa.

Breakfast was available daily with a good choice of fruit, cereals, thai food, eggs (variety of formats on request) and with an endless supply of coffee and tea. The restaurant staff, along with all other employees were most attentive and helpful - always with a smile. We used the restaurant area by the pool during the day and in the evening a few times and enjoyed the choice of food which was reasonably priced - although the costs of drinks was perhaps a bit too high to tempt us to stay for longer periods. The hotel is a short walk away from a modern shopping centre with a wide range of restaurants and shops - Hua Hin centre is easily accessible by road or beach (15 mins walk) or a short tuk tuk ride (100 baht). There is a small supermarket nearby with an ATM.

We enjoyed a very relaxing week in this small boutique hotel and recommend it highly to others :-).

With only 23 spacious suites of varying sizes and views this resort offers a more personalized experience with individual attention and awareness of preferences by staff.
The traditional thai style of architecture is maintained in this property as it expanded from its early1900s origins and carefully maintained with updated facilities. The many steps including up to rooms above the first floors could be challenging to those with mobility issues. Food was excellent and surprisingly varied for this size of resort and reasonably priced in their restaurant. One of the better beach locations and uncrowded with a good pool. Major shoping mall across the road within easy access with multiple western style restaurants as well as Thai style food stalls and a major supermarket
Highly recommended if looking for a botique hotel experience with more of a family managed feel.

Excellent choice. Considering it is in a busy section, it is very peaceful and quiet with lots of charm. You feel at home away from home. We stayed at the resort most of the time. Did go to the market to look around but went back to our resort. It has everything you need to stay there. We will return to this resort many times in the future for sure. One of the best choices we could have made. Will be on the top of our list. The staff are very attentive and helpful, never overwhelm you, just there when you need them. The ambiance is serenity, quiet and peaceful. Makes you wonder why you didn't know about this place before. Maybe I shouldn't over rate it because I do want to return and know they will be busy for sure. I enjoyed my 2 nights and 3 days there, will go again.

We stayed in room 210, in the beautiful old house. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge, but the best thing about it was the amazing verandah, with views into the courtyard and out to the sea. Although three suites share this verandah, while we were there nobody else used it so it became an extension to our room and we spent an entire day lounging on the sofas, cooled by the fan and enjoying the views. The staff are very helpful and kind, and the free shuttle to the night market/down town was really handy. Breakfast, in the lovely open air breakfast room, was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant by the pool was also lovely and the food good. Sitting out in the evening, watching the sunset and the lights of the fishing boats shining across the sea, was so relaxing and magical. The beach in front of the hotel is lovely too.

Everything nearly perfect. From the first until the last day.
Only the last day on my departure, the hotel organized a local non metered Tuk Tuik Taxi for my transfer to the Airport Bus Station. And this Taxi driver really wanted me to cheat with an exaggerated fare. However, the Concierge and the Bell Boy then helped me to get a fair (but still high) price.
The hotel itself is what I would call Vintage Boutique with old but well maintained building. With every comfort you may expect from a 4 star house at this location. With a unique location direct at the beach front and a well maintained pool. Old beautiful plants in the garden and an amzing sunrise over the sea.
The location is also superb regarding it's closeness to the Market Village, the big Hua Hin City Shopping Center.

Certain service staff is not too friendly. Even when we order a wrong dish in the restaurant for dinner. The staff simply commented that it was my fault to order the dish and i have to accept it.

Would definitely come back to the hotel if I was going to Thailand again!

The hotel was great exactly what we wanted just a little out of town and not a huge hotel. The staff overall were pleasant, especially the staff at breakfast. After our first night we needed a extra blanket as without the air con on it was stuffy and with it on quite cool, but to get a extra blanket they wanted to charge us, they gave us a large bath towel (sheet) instead as I said it was a little rude to charge guests for a small request of a blanket the manager was a little curt with us after that but seemed to get over it by the next day!
The breakfast was fantastic lots to choose from and they cooks did a great omelette. It was only a short trip into town costing $4 (Aussie) in a tuk tuk. The hotel provided a complimentary bus into town as well as to the Cicada markets (markets well worth a trip they were fantastic). The beach was great a lot cleaner than in closer to town. The hotel provided plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas on the beach and off the beach beside the pool. The pool was good not huge but big enough. We would definitely stay there again but would get a beach view room instead to a garden view. Overall apart from blanket gate we would stay there again as it was everything we wanted.

Nice location on the beach. nice and quite location back from the main road and traffic. Lovely courtyard feel to the rooms. Nice grounds. Only a few minutes scooter ride into town. Big shopping centre with food court just across the road.Thought staff could have been a bit more helpful. Breakfast wasn't up to par with the price range. Didn't bother eating at the hotel as the menu looked uninspired.

We wanted a small comfortable hotel on the beach and this is just what we got. Staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more. Really enjoyed the relaxed breakfasts, lounging, long walks on the beach, and generally winding down.
Will certainly return.

Läget vid stranden är bra utom då det blåser ostligt eller vid extra högt högvatten.
Vissa gäster kan reservera solsängar vid poolen i 2-4 timmar medan de ligger i andra sängar på stranden. Bra för dom men störande för de som inte är ute tidigt.

Baan Bayan on hieno vanha hotelli. Palvelu on erinomaista ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Huoneet ovat tilavia. Ainoa huono puoli on suihkujen paine ja kuuman veden saanti. Lisäksi suihkusaippua tuoksuu pahalle.

Enkelt, ganska mysigt och familjärt hotell vid stranden. Rummet helt ok men slitet. Dubbelsäng ok men extrasängen stenhård. Omöjligt att ställa in vattentemperaturen i duschen. Frukost helt ok, en hel del att välja på.

En oas precis vid havet

Mysigt litet hotell med underbart läge direkt på stranden, som en egen oas. Solsängar som räcker till alla och flera olika ställen att välja mellan sol, skugga, strand, altan mm. Hotell är slitet men städningen är toppen och väger upp skicket på rummet. Bra och varierad frukost. Vi återkommer gärna hit!
