It’s a cheap hotel but it has a very cute little swimming pool by the road. And the staff are nice. I liked it, don’t know why! It’s also very close to some great Thai music bars and the amazing Baan Kun Por night market.

Nice big clean room. Very hot at first, front desk gave me a keycard to hold the AC open while i was out - set it at 25C when out and 22 when in the room. Perfect and always felt cool in room despite broiling outside in Huahin heat. Good bed, good bathroom good view. Enjoyed my stay.

Small well located hotel near the smaller night life scene of Hua Hin. Walking distance to the beach which is very clean and pretty quiet. Has a small pool as well, which was not crowded. I would stay again. Excellent for the price.

Bad feeling in Thai ever

The room is dirty and the air condition is broken. Switch on 3mins it will shut down itself. The bathroom s water is slow like snail. No service I can tell. Won't be there ever

Stayed here for a week recently on a golfing trip. The location on Soi 94 is excellent - plenty of restaurants, bars, laundries etc nearby. Town centre is a 5 minute baht bus ride and beach is a 10/15 minute walk. The railway line is about 50 yards away from the hotel so it can be noisy when the trains go past.
Rooms are a decent size with good storage space, comfortable bed and small balcony. As with many Thai hotels in this price range, there is a shortage of power points.
Other reviews have mentioned dirty pool water and broken loungers but this wasn't the case during my stay. There was also drinking water and free coffee available in the reception area.
Staff were all very pleasant. I had a problem with the air conditioning which was sorted out immediately.
Decent value for money but plenty of competition on Soi 94.

Ceiling in bathroom had a few holes in it which seemed have been plugged by some sort of temporary plugs. Overall everything good though. Trains go regularly past the front facing rooms might be a issue with some people ?

Soi 94 is a good location, but hotel near railway.

Generally a good economy hotel. Can be noisy - trains sound as though they are passing thro' your room!
The hotel offers a buffet breakfast which isn't in the hotel, but a little ways up the Soi, across the railway tracks on the opposite side of the street. The food is very second rate, I would not recommend that option.

Bad impression: room was not ready to service for customer even though we had waited for 2 hours before checked in.
Staffs were not friendly,they didn't interest in helping to new customers,just gave the key and let customers found the room by ourselve and the way to the room was very dark,

Terrible place to stay. Could not sleep because of the noise from the trains all night. The bedrooms should be renovated and a good clean would not go amiss. No safe in the room. Breakfast was horrible. We ate elsewhere after the first morning and cut our stay short by 3 days as we could not bear it any longer.

Great value but noisy train. If you are a slight sleeper, don't stay here. Sink and shower drainage has no U trap as such, odour from sewage pipe can leak into bathroom.
Breakfast is OK but for the price, I rate the hotel of very good value.

Lovely Hotel

Check in easy and efficient. Room good size and very clean with small balcony overlooking the pool. Lovely swimming pool just nice size for a few lengths to cool off.
Downside: breakfast was only OK. A bit far out from nightlife, but easy to catch cheap transport at the end of the road. Still some bars and restaurants very close by.
Overall would return myself and recommend to others.

Good for the Price

This is a reasonable hotel which is fine for a short stay bearing in mind that it's very cheap.
The rooms are fairly basic but a good size and there is a nice, but small, swimming pool.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the beach, but a long walk from the town centre.
During the day and until everything nearby closes at around midnight the area is noisy, but after that quiet unless a train is passing.
Soi 94 is busy, and there are several bars and restaurants a few metres away.

What the website reflects is not what you get. The Hotel is situated right next to a railway crossing and the trains run 24/7 . Air horns go through out the day and night, I called to check with Hotels.com prior to find out about the noise level problem and was told there is no noise. The rooms are okay , but it takes a whole day for them to make up the rooms. The pictures on the site make the rooms seem bigger and better. Breakfast - not good at all, don't bother getting it . Reception was generally friendly , but the night reception can only help you with anything \"tomorrow\" . Guess I won't be back \"tomorrow\"

The price was great for the quality of the room, and I loved the location. It was a 10 minute walk and we were right on the beach. We had a delicious breakfast buffet at Pier 94 Restaurant (on the main corner from there, 3 min walk). The staff at Narayan was very friendly as well, and took pics with us. Also its about a 25 minute ride to Hua Hin Safari, an awesome Animal Adventure Park with Elephants, Camels, Sloth, and Aligators and more. We rode an Elephant there. The park is a little pricey but worth it in the end. Will never forget my experience at Narawan and also in Hua Hin :)

Stayed for two weeks and found that the hotel was certainly worth the money paid.
It was clear however why the Hotel was cheap as the location is not the best tough by next year may have improved.
Although we had been forewarned about the closeness of the railway tracks and the sound of warning horns with every passing train day or night we were surprised as to how much building work was going on around the Hotel.
We were disappointed with the reception staff however as during our stay they made little effort to
communicate or even so much as acknowledge our presence. The claning staff however were always friendly and ready with a cheery good morning and a smile.
The breakfast could have been much better the tea and coffee was quite awful and often the fried eggs ,sausage and weird rubber sliced stuff were cold.The sight and taste of cold fried egg with accompanying surface of congaled fat resulted in us often bypassing this meal.
The nearest beach was only 800 yds away but we found a better beach at Khao Takiab which could be reached by local bus which basically picked up anywhere en route in our case across the road from the end of soi94. cost 10 bht each any distance.
It did be warned pick up anyone which did result in very full passenger loads.We on one occasion counted 27 persons on a vehicle with ten seats.
Tuk Tuks are plentiful but can be expensive always agree cost with driver before boarding.
Nearest nightlife is Hua Hin a fair distance off.
Again a local bus which can be stopped outside the hotel will get you into town but later a tuk tuk will be needed for the return.
Hotel swimming pool really clean and we saw every day that it was checked and cleaned properly.
Overall for the cost this was good value for money but no doubt when the building work is finished the
charges will increase and at this point the general staff attitude will need to improve.
If the train crossing was gated it would also stop the need for the sound of horns.
So yes good place to stay on a budget.

This is by far the dirtiest, noisiest, and most unpleasant place we have ever stayed in. The cups from the previous occupants were left dirty for us, and we were kept awake all night by either trains or the stench from our bathroom. This is the worst review I have ever written because I understand as a frequent traveller that some things are beyond the control of proprieters. However in the case of this hotel it's management and maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. On a positive note, the general staff were helpful and lovely people.

This small hotel fits all your needs. Spaceious rooms, clean, everything worked good.
Breakfast buffet with a good choice of clean and fresh food.
A pool big enough for children to play around. Very good value for that money. Nice and helpful stuff.
Nearby are shops and restaurants and laundreys.
About 1 Km to railway station and 500 meters to south bus station.
But - it is very close to the railway. You hear the trains day and night. If you are sensitive for noise, it is not the right place. But Thailand is noisy nearly everywhere so I feld very comfortable there.

Nice hotel in a quiet location

I stayed at The Narawan for 8 days. It's about 300 metres from the main road and about 400 metres from the beach. The wifi signal was very good with fairly decent speeds. It's a 10 minute stroll to the nearest shopping centre and 20 - 30 minutes into town. There are plenty of motorbike taxis or tuk tuks around if you're not into walking.

The pool is big enough for a dip and it gets the sun till about 5.30pm, so plenty of time to top up the tan.

Breakfast was included in the price, but I can't comment on it, as I'm a night owl, so never made it down in time. Instead, I went to a small cafe across the road called L'oxygene. It's next to the KiteSurfing shop. The owner is really nice and she makes a really good breakfast.

Be aware, there is a railway track that runs right past the back of this hotel, so you will hear the trains tooting their horns at various times of the day and night. They have to do this as there is no safety barrier to stop the traffic.

One final thing. The lift is now operational.

When I return to Hua Hin, I will probably choose this hotel again.

The Narawan 'Railway' hotel

Room dirty. When complained, was told no other guests had complained and given brush to do the cleaning ourselves.
Quickly realised the hotel was near to a busy railway crossing. Not only was there the noise of the trains but as the crossing had no gates/warning, the trains sound their horns every time in warning.
The breakfast was cold. The staff put the food out at 7am approx, and the food stays there until 10am with no burners or heaters.
Broken grills around the swimming pool which didnt look overly clean.
The most bizare staff!
O verall, terrible! Would definitely NOT go again.

Watch out for the fleas in the bed!

The hotel externally appeared clean and the staff were friendly and helpful even though their English was limited. the room was also relatively cheap and the hotel has been refurbished recently.

However, the bed was full of fleas and flea larvae. Our room was changed without quibble. They were obviously not surprised at the request as it must be a frequent issue. The new room had dead mosquitoes and human hair in the bathroom. We think it had not been cleaned.

Both our original room and new room had dead insects flattened against the bathroom wall tiles

Breakfast was appalling. Definitely take your own. Very limited and basic and had flies crawling over much of it. We would suggest one of the hotels a little further out if you are on a budget which are slightly more expensive but much more pleasant.

Cheap hotel, nice pool, reasonable breakfast but needs some finishing touches such as changing dead light bulbs. Tepid water in the shower and very noisy trains at night. Easy to walk to restaurants. If coming to Hua Hin do not come by train. Horrendously slow and taxi drivers at station rip you off.

Positives: Room clean & quite pleasant.Staff very friendly, nice pool which always looked inviting. Plus the tariff was cheap.
Negatives: 4 floor hotel with a lift that never worked, because it didn't have one!
We were allocated rooms on the 4th floor but on the suggestion of a heart attack we were then given 2nd floor rooms.
No tea / coffee making facilities or in-room safe.
the breakfast would rank as the worse Iv'e ever had, everything was cold as the burners under the the food containers were never lit.
The location of the hotel was too far out of the town at soi 94 & the railway line that ran at the back of the hotel meant we had trains running day & night sounding their horns as they approached the unmanned crossing which was only 30 metres away from he hotel entrance.
What you save in hotel costs you pay in taxis/tuk tuks.
When I visit Hua Hin again ,I will be staying closer too soi 70 to 84 to be in the heart of the atmosphere, nightlife , markets & restaurants.

Comparing with the price, the breakfast is quite simple. The staffs are warm and eager to help, service is timely, room is big enough with a balcony. We rent a motorbike which is 200B per day, it's very helpful to take us everywhere we want to go, otherwise, I think it's quite tough to go to train station, night market. It's near the sea, a big mall and some small resturants. Generally speaking, it's a nice hotel! Suggest them to install a lift which will be very useful, but if they don't install, it's fine, the staffs would help you to carry your suitcase upstairs and if you can remember to give tips, they will be very happy. the only thing I don't like is they give torn, worn face towels. I asked the cleaner changed them when they put the same kind of towels the second time. In short, it's a nice, clean hotel and I would like to recommend it to others.

Pretty good for the price you pay. One major complaint was the poor air conditioning, which made the room almost never cool. The reception people didn't really speak english and could therefore not help us with very much. The location is close to restaurants and malls, but a little far from the main area. The scooters we rented were a nice way to get around as the taxis seemed very expensive. The food was average and nothing to get excited about. The place was very clean and safe. The pool was very small and quickly overcrowded. The photos make it look more picturesque than it was. Worth going as long as you don't expect much.

We think that the location of hotel was ok, but maybe a bit far from the beach. To compensate for that, the hotel has a lovely swimmingpool. It occured to us, that perhaps the hotel would benefit from having a restaurant, but that of course is a matter of cost. Overall we liked the hotel, and the crew was very nice.

Clean, cool rooms, only breakfast available & restricted room service menu. Access to pool & breakfast room only by walking outside the hotel. Staff pleasant, but nowhere air conditioned to sit other than in your room. Four floors but no lift. Also very close to noisy level crossing with constant trains going by! Fine for a very short visit, but would not stay there again. Very much a Thai style hotel.

Mit ophold på Narawan hotel

Jeg havde et godt ophold, på hotellet, ting jeg godt kunne lide ved værelset var en god stor seng,(dobbelt og med fin komfort) og så den cute altan med med to stole og et bord, samt udsigt udover poolen og hen på spisestede ud mod vejen.
Minus vil være småting som at der var hul i loftet på mit badeværelse.
