I was barely in the parking lot when 2 guys approached my car and was asking for money. I sat in the car for 45 minutes to afraid to get out. I tried to cancel but was told i couldn't. When i tried to change 2 just 1 night the front desk clerk was Ms. GHETTO FABULOUS. was very rude .

This place is terrible, from the moment you approach entrance the glass of the door is cracked. When you come in the odor is terrible is a mix of weed and humidity. We had reserved around 8 rooms for our kids soccer tournament and all ended up cancelling & leaving. The room had roaches, the sofa bed didn't have mattress, under the sofa bed there were pigeon feathers. The only positive comment i have is for the front desk clerk Debbie who was super nice, attentive and understanding.

Overall the hotel is located in a convenient área but needs to improves like invest in the rooms. Rooms are outdated, there were other people’s hair in the bathtub when I first got in. The smoke detector had a non-stop beeping like it had a dead battery. I had a late check in due to other circumstances so it took a while to complete check in while waiting outside the property. I mean for the cost I couldn’t expect more but they could do better.

Was very disappointed . Arrived super tired from 750 miles. Front desk closed had to call from lobby phone for one of the staff to show up and tell that he is sorry but there no rooms available and that whoever I booked with go and call them to refund you your money. And turned and walked away .
Without asking if he can help book me somewhere else close by offer no help . Except that he is sorry .
Has has room that were under construction and could not help with anything .
Had to sleep couple hours I. The parking lot before driving again .
Over all this is experience was a nightmare 👎👎👎👎

I want to preface this by saying I’m not one to complain or make a big stink about things. But this place was bad. I was lucky to have found an attendant at the desk for my late check in. When I got into my room I was greeted by 3 baby roaches on the door. They scurried away when I turned on the lights. I slept with them on in fear they’d come back if I turned them off. The furniture was all scratched and torn. I imagine due to previous pet stays. The bathroom was clean and the sheets on the bed were too. I was grateful for that. The toilet still had remnants of previous use. The room smelled like maybe a pet ( I hope) urinated somewhere and it wasn’t fully cleaned up. The mattress pad must have had pee as well as it smelled like it when I laid down to sleep.
The room next door and above me were both very loud. And the AC would make a loud cracking sound when it would start up.
I was grateful to have a place to sleep but it wasn’t a good experience.

The \"front\" of the building looks industrial. The entry was a bit dirty. The building in-general needs a major cleaning. The elevator floor was DISGUSTING. My room's floor was really dirty: Walking around in bare feet then getting in the shower and to see all that dirt I moved from the floor to the shower...yuck! The bathroom was clean except for the floor. NOT recommended.

Smelled like wet dogs in the lobby. I came to check in after 11 for late check in you need to use a phone that you can’t see till you leave out of the lobby so I knocked on the office door for assistance and no one answered Then I used the phone and got assistance but come to find out there was someone right behind the door ignoring me. During the check in I asked for an extra blanket and pot and and utensils and they told me no and to check in the morning going in to the room you are hit with the smell of mold there were roaches in the bathroom, to top it off there were no TV channels only the option to log into Netflix or cast your phone but I wouldn't let me cast. This stay was awful.

Front desk was great, but that is all I can say. No one is there 24/7 and I work until 11 pm. One night when I got back, my cards were deactivated and I couldn't get in my room and I couldn't get in touch with the overnight phone number person. I actually sat outside my door and thought I was going to have to sleep in the hallway until I realized that my door didn't click shut at all so it could be pushed open. Definitely a huge safety concern. Plus, I reported that my television didn't work and it never got fixed. I was without tv for 2 days. There was also a roach on the garbage bin in the laundry room when I was doing my laundry.

The guy at the desk was very abrupt with us. Acted like we should already know what to expect at the property and was rude to our questions. It was also such an inconvenience to get 1 extra towel and a roll of toilet paper through the week. People would prop open the back door and go out to do drugs and he was no where to be found. The door stayed propped all week. His friends hung out at the desk most of the time so you didn't date go through and ask for anything else. The room was clean and had enough space. Kitchenette available but you would need your own cups, spoons,etc. No ice machines, you had to fill a tray and wait for ice. Too much to say... Just won't stay here again.

Desk clerk informed me that priorty goes to actual customers, not customers using third party check in like Expedida. After hassleing him i was given a room infested with roaches. I obviously didnt take the room. After a half hour, the clerk found a room.

No blanket on the bed. Pillows are decorative rather comfort , shower wouldnt turn off unless you fanagled with it . Check in was a toss up. A/c does not cool the room further than 76. The hotel did not honor our reservation. They said that they were done for the night and not selling any more rooms. There was no one to attendant. The front desk was closed with the gate and a sticky note that said to call a phone number if you need help. So we had to find another hotel to stay the night.

I seen a review from another person so I'm not sure if it's accurate but this property is not associated with the chain. The hotel was really run down, from the recliner chairs missing pieces off of it to the bathroom floor had a spot that was lifted and if you stepped on it it would spark the electrical in the lights to flicker off and there were missing pieces of spots on the tables. You could tell that they weren't putting money back into the hotel to fix things. I won't be returning to that property for future stays.

The manager tried to get me to pay again saying they never received payment from 3rd party. The rooms air conditioner didnt work making it hot and uncomfortable. The microwave didnt work either and i wasted about 80 dollars in food. The place had roaches.Told the manager repeatedly about the issue and he kept telling me he would get me another room that never happend. Never again will i stay there...

We were not able to stay at your hotel. We had nothing but issues from the time of check in. The hotel smelled of marijuana so bad that you could see the haze in the halls. We went and purchased febreeze to at least help the smell in our room. I tried to suck it up and just stay. However, at 11pm, our smoke alarm started chirping. We asked the front desk for a new battery, and the attendant, Fox, claimed that they did not have any. He told us to remove the detector from the wall. We expressed how that was not an acceptable solution and that he would either need to do that (even though that is a huge safety concern especially given the amount of marijuana obviously being smoked in the rooms) and also that he had so much paperwork that he would not be able to do anything about it until Saturday. After that, my husband decided we were not going to stay there. I have pictures of the chairs in the room - they were all tore up as well as the detector removed from the wall. We were driving around at 1am trying to find a different hotel with vacancies. An absolute horrible experience.

Not a single amenity offered was made available. Staff was not available to assist with check in or check out for customers. Trash and dirty laundry peppered the hallways. This is mostly for you, hotels.com. You overbooked this hotel by 13 rooms and left us stranded in the lobby at midnight. Other families showed up after us, also with no rooms for them. You also price gauged us by $350 for this roach motel bc it was a race wknd, but then would only give us a $50 credit. I'm a travel agent, good luck having me refer your company to anyone.

First I come into room and turn light on and Roaches were running all over the walls and counter but by this time I could kill some of them they ran under the hood of stove to and behind refrigerator. I opened refrigerator and on top of open door there are 3 dead ones that now cleaned up. We were so tired we figured just sleeping in clothes and leave next day. The reception guy did see us packed up and leaving and he did asked where we were going. I did tell him what happened and he apologized and I told him it is not his fault. It’s the owners. I found out a lot of things about this place. It really needs to be closed and fumigated

Dear [Extended StayAmerica Select Suites West Melbourne],

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room I booked during my recent stay at your location. I encountered several issues that left me extremely disappointed:

The chair in the room was severely damaged and unusable.
The towels provided were an unpleasant yellow color and appeared unclean.
I found hair in both the bed and the bathtub, which was both shocking and unacceptable.
Had I not arrived late in the evening, I would have left immediately due to the poor condition of the room.
To make matters worse, there was no one available at the front desk to address my concerns or offer assistance.
Additionally, the overall smell in the room and the cleanliness of the property were far below acceptable standards. While I did not expect a 5-star experience, I certainly did not expect less than 1 star. I will be contacting corporate with pictures a video. REQUEST A FULL REFUND. This was so shameful 😞

Spent the night in my car due to laziness

I rented a room for two days. I didnt show up until 1230am (due to travel) and there wasnt anyone at the front desk, just a phone number to call. The guy was somewhat rude and told me my booking was canceled as a no show because it was 1230am in the mornings and i was charged a no show fee. The only thing I could do was to wait until 10am and rebook my room. I was not informed that there was a check in no later then 10pm. So stupid. I did get a refund for the no show fee. Just cost me a night of sleeping in the car because i was left in limbo and didnt know the status of my second night. I also didnt want to stretch myself on money due to the situation. Definitely learned the hard way to always call the place you're staying directly and ask what thier policy is. It doesnt always match up to what the sites description is.

Overbooked , gave me a previously used room that someone else declined to use. Keys to room didn’t work, had to be let in by the attendant that doesn’t man the main desk you have to call. While checking in 2 local police officers arrived to deal with a situation in the hotel. The room was dirty with ripped sofa and towels.

Property was not an Extended Stay. I was informed by the gentleman checking people in that it was a stay-a-while. They had no dishes for the kitchen, no coffee pots, no kind of kitchen amenities that are promised on their site. I was told people bring their own. Room was clean or so I thought, until my check out day which is when I saw a cockroach. Chair in room literally looked like it was mauled. Property stunk of smoke so badly I had to wash everything when I returned home and the elevator constantly smelled of weed and dog urine. Very noisy tenants up and down hallways. Outside look very nice but the actual Extended Stay is across the street. The pictures included in this listing are not of this hotel, they are of the other actually extended stay.

The questionable experience started at check-in, the front desk was unattended with a phone number to call...it was 10:30pm. Called the attendant whom I seem to have annoyed for being there late but made it through check in once I confirmed I actually did have an online prepaid reservation. The secure door didn't work with our room key card but the attendant did come around and let us in. Room key card did work at the room though. Cushions on the armchair in the room were frayed and worn out with questionable smeering, possibly food, didn't trust it, flipped the cushion over and cleaned it before using the chair. Other worn aspects of the room included the rusting bathroom mirror frame, the rolling chair at the desk/table area which we also wiped down, and the dirty/moldy shower curtain along the bottom edge. The elevator reaked of pot. I know it is legal now, doesn't mean I want to smell it. Biggest issue was the 4th floor circus above my room, incredibly loud footsteps all night long each of the 3 nights. Apparently the 4th floor was rented by a company, and we weren't the only ones complaining about the noise. The night attendant did check out the noise but it only stopped briefly. Fortunately the bed was comfortable, and did manage to get some sleep despite the all night circus above us. Our room was not cleaned during our 3 night stay, which may be the norm for a short stay at extended stay hotel.

When I first checked in, there were no sheets or blankets on my bed - just a bare mattress with no sheets in the room to even put on the bed
Then the manager attempted to sit in the room alone with me in order to put sheets on the bed
I couldn’t leave the room as I had my dog with me and I’m trying to settle in
And needed to leave for a meeting

There were roaches infesting every single surfaces inside the room and outside of the room

Dog poop saturated every single grassy area in the entire complex so you couldn’t even walk your dog

And my room was not clean
There was a dirty diaper in the trash can from the tenants before

We checked out a day early because of it and ended up having to drive 6 hours impromptu to my mothers to avoid paying for another room

They sold my room and had no room for me

I will never book with this place again. I booked my room and paid for it. When i got there, they didn't have a room for me. The receptionist clearly stated he had just sold the last room that was available to the previous guests. He checked and could see my reservation. WHY TFH DID YOU SELL MY ROOM? I arrived for checking before midnight which i often do in my long trips. I have been doing road trips with my family for many years and slept at countless of hotels, and this never happened. I had to start calling all the hotels around Melbourne to find a room for the night which was mission impossible. The receptionist there who seemed to not know sh** tried to tell me that the place does not do reservations and that the issue was because i used a third party to book the room. I simply laughed. This was a ridiculous reason. I mean...common! He could clearly see my reservation and still sold my room. On top of that he was very rude about it and not showing any empathy. It was late and i had kids in the car. We were all very tired from the long drive. I would give zero star if it was possible. I ended sleeping in a lay-low motel with my family because all the hotels were fully booked. This was my first time and will be my last time ever booking with them.

At least, I'm pleased with how hotels.com handled my situation and provided me with my refund in a timely manner.

Sold Out. The Guy Austin Stated he was sold out and he can't do anything for me because it was a 3rd party reservation. I have pictures of evidence. No ID, No Credit Card No room was assigned.

He clearly was under influence. 10:32pm

Wouldn’t not take care of the lost food they wouldn’t replace it $127.86 worth of food we lost because of there not getting a replacement in or moving us said they would comp us another day and night but didn’t

NEVER AGAIN

Horrible! People smoke marijuana in ther rooms and you can smell it everywhere, the matress gave me a lower back pain. The chair is ready to go to the garbage. Was a very bad experience NEVER AGAIN!
