They were close to the beach and boardwalk. Now our specific hotel was not on the beachfront side, etc. but it is also close to the Starbucks in OCMD. I loved the proximity. Clean room. Shower & Tub combo. Elevator to get stuff up and down to room. Clean bedding. The one downside was they don’t have any luggage carts so make that be something in mind when you’re packing the items up to go to the hotel. Have something to lug to and from hotel room. Hope this helps.

Our stay was october so was a little chilly. The carpet was kind of yukky and the doorway was in ill-repair. Overall was a great stay. Did not realize was no elevator-likely my fault that i did not see that information. I would stay there again but my travel companion would not be able to due to the steps.

First, let me say this in my opinion the Sahara needs an upgrade. The room reminded me something out of the 80s with the burgundy and green. Every staff member I ran into asked if I needed anything. I would rate them as extremely friendly. Everything was clean except the walls could’ve used a wipe down. There’s no elevator but only three floors. The balcony is great on the smaller side no party ability. There’s an actual door to exit to the balcony. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen. At night I could hear people talking not exactly what they were saying but aware that they were people next-door. All in all it was everything I needed for my first vacation alone. I will stay here again.

Gentleman at the front desk was great on check in. Unfortunately the room had an ant problem that we discovered around 11:00PM. We were moved to another room and our keys were updated - but the keys expired a day early and we were locked out of our room late at night. Facilities were pretty dated and worn down. While the location of this property is fair, visitors may want to look at other hotels that have invested more in maintenance.

this is a beachfront property. But it also has rooms that are not on beachfront. I was in a room that was not on a beachfront, but I could tell that that we were in my room came in from the beach because before was wet and sand was trapped to the front door to the shower. It’s not cleaned up well it was not comfortable. But for a brief overnight stay it works. It’s absolutely not anything of comfort or decency. It is a matter of convenience. And price.

I had no expectations about this motel as I know I booked on the lower end but this was worse that I had imagined. The minute we opened the room door we were overwhelmed by the smell of mildew/mold. When I mentioned it to the front desk their solution was to send the cleaning staff up with a can of air freshener. That is not a solution just a cover up. The bedspreads we stained, the carpets dirty. The wifi does not work on the 3rd floor and the beds in our room desperately need to be replaced.

It’s an old motel, an OC original, and incredibly overpriced for what you get. Clearly it was inflated for the weekends event and I get it - but still I’d say $175 max for an event and maybe $120 any other time. Wasn’t bad and I knew it wouldn’t be impressive but knowing it was this basic I would’ve opted for a better place at another $75 a night.

Our room was never cleaned in the 3 night stay. We asked for new towels because ours didn’t dry after using the first day and despite walking over to the office to ask and asking two different employees, none were provided during the rest of the stay. Stated that they had none clean. When calling the office, no one picked up or returned our message. No one came to clean the room or take out the trash during stay. After being at a music festival in the sand and the rain, not having towels to dry off and clean yourself off was hard.

The location was awesome. Parking was convenient, but tight with a truck. Rooms were clean but in need of an upgrade. No blanket available andbit hot really chilly one night. We dudnt know we would have to vlimb to the 3rd floor...i am disabled andbut was a struggle, especially with luggage. Overall, we'd consider possibly staying there again.

It was ok for what it was. A cheaper place to stay compared to others. Boardwalk is right there. Man at the front desk wasent accommodating. Had a problem with our cable in our room. He said he’d come up to check it out and never showed.

Drain in bathtub was rusted horrible so water wouldn't stay in tub. Was very hard to communicate with staff no one hardly spoke English. The location was great loved that the beach was right there.

This place was nothing like we expected. Dirty & old. I was with my 2 kids and they weren’t even happy. We have stayed right by the beach before and -trust me- you can find much better than this dingy dirty motel - to stay at. There was hair in the bathroom that obviously wasn’t cleaned. The bedsheets are like 100 years old and we picked a non smoking room- and the smell as soon as you entered the room - DID NOT smell clean. Moldy. And the so called “manager” Rob that I tried getting a hold of for DAYS calling at first and then actually going to the front desk never ever was available. Even after I decided to leave the motel.
We ended up arriving and staying the night and checked out at 11:00. Expedia called because I wanted a refund for the other nights that I DID not stay and of course “Rob” didn’t approve it . He only approved one night. —- so Expedia did not want to refund me my money for the rest of the nights I had paid for because they needed the approval from him.

Front staff were not very personable, just wanted to check us in and out. Hotel could use some updates, including mattress (they need replaced), painting, replace shower curtain and clips, blankets/comforters need washed, carpets. Room was very musty when we arrived but slowly got better.
The location was great in proximity to the boardwalk and beach. The cafe for breakfast was exceptional!
Overall, i would stay here again if some upgrades and thorough cleaning was done.

Upon checking into the room, the staff member was very polite and kind. However, once we entered, we noticed that the shower curtain had mold on it. The overall appearance of the room did not reflect its $500 to $600 price tag. In addition to the moldy shower curtain, the bathroom was not clean, with hair scattered throughout. I called the front desk to request a new shower curtain and to inform them about the bathroom's condition.
A staff member came up, acted somewhat awkwardly, and handed us the new shower curtain without saying much. It seemed he expected me to replace it myself. I liked that is near the beach and boardwalk area. Disliked that rooms are very out of date. TV and availability of channels is limited. Beds are a Twin XL size and super uncomfortable to sleep on. No Elevator. They allow anyone to smoke any kind of thing from the balcony area. Room had a weird smell, even with air fresheners we purchased the smell wouldn’t go away.

My sister had a roach in her room…. The blankets were old & washed very outdated… my family & I purchased new comforter & pillows from Walmart… the carpet was outdated & very grimy… the bottom of my socks were very dirty, I had to wear booties over my socks during my entire stay… the staff were polite & they addressed the issue of jumping & thumping noises over my head expeditiously. Definitely too pricey for the condition of the rooms.

The room had a smell. Usually when I stay at hotels, I smell bleach and clean when I go into the room. This room smelled like BO, and mold. The shower curtain, the air conditioner the carpet, all had mold on it. We did end up leaving a night early due to these conditions. I just felt better sleeping in my own home where we could breathe better. I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and don’t remember these conditions.

Staff were friendly and took care of issues promptly. Sink was clogged upon arrival and the staff were quick to resolve the issue. The room could be updated since it was showing it's age. The wall air conditioning unit worked, but there were gaps to the outside.

We Stayed in the West Building. Pros. Location was great. Air conditioner cranked. Cons... No Ice Machine only in the main bldg. If you need Wi Fi Bring your own because unless you are in the main building you are unable to connect to it. Didn't really use the pool but stopped to check it out. water was Hazy. No Shade or Umbrellas, Tissues soda Bottles etc laying around. Besides these things I would def. still rent again. I would just take my own Hot Spot.

Our family was staying 1/2 block away. It was very convenient. Room was good. However I am older and didn’t realize that there was no elevator. Room was clean but toilet seat was not connected properly. And the balcony was very dirty. Glass was broken and never cleaned up. Also very stained concrete. I would stay again if there was an efficiency on the 1st floor.

The location is great and rates are decent however, the room needed a few repairs: the cord for the one light was cut and so we had minimal lighting in the room, the bathtub and sink both clogged when in use. The balcony view was great! The hotel is advertised as nonsmoking but we couldn’t sit at the pool for there were several other renters who were smoking outside their rooms directly behind the pool area. It was sufficient for a quick stay but most likely won’t stay here again

My only complaint is the drains for the tub and sink were entirely clogged with other guests hair that I had to remove myself in order to shower or brush my teeth without a overflowing sink or bathtub, we also had ants but they weren't terrible just a little annoying.

Location is very convenient and safe. One (1) block walk to boardwalk and beach. Bus stop even closer with inexpensive unlimited daily pass. More than 5 good restaurant options within a 3 block walk.

Pictures are deceiving. It looks like you'll be right on the boardwalk, but you're actually across Baltimore Ave. Not so bad unless you have a toddler like we did, you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach or boardwalk. The carpet was apparently shampooed right before we got there, but it stayed damp the entire weekend we were there. Also, there's no elevator, so you have to carry everything up to your room. It wasn't terrible, but we probably won't stay there again. If you don't have little ones it might be okay.
