Nice country setting with easy drive into Arles. Very accommodating and friendly host. Super quiet and dark at night. Note that although Pascal no longer offers dinner, there is a refrigerator and microwave that she encourages guests to use. Comfortable bed, but the pillows are hard. There is no overhead shower, but there is a handheld sprayer in the bathtub.

Pascal is the ultimate chambers d’hotes host. She is friendly, informative and plans everything to make your stay delightful. Mas Petit Fourchon is an exceptional destination. The 1784 building is beautifully designed and restored. Attention to detail, love and grace abound. Breakfast is delicious with fresh breads and croissants, homemade jams, fresh fruit and wonderful French cheeses. The grounds are lovely, even in early spring. I am so happy to have stayed in this charming home in the South of France on my first visit to the area.

This place was most excellent. Amazing place with horses and plenty of space, it felt like home. The host was so nice to talk with over breakfast and was very knowledgeable about the area, she had local honey and wine available. It would be a dream to stay here again, it reminded me of my grandmothers country farm house, absolutely beautiful. Thank You for letting us stay.

Excellent place out in nature.

Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds to sit and enjoy a snack or glass of wine - big fridge and microwave available to use. Breakfast was tasty, there was always an alternative loaf instead of basic baguette and interesting cheeses. I think the location is too far to walk to Arles and the roads busy in places but we were shown where to park on the outskirts of town to avoid parking fees. I would've preferred a duvet to a blanket but otherwise the room and bed were very comfortable. We left an item of clothing behind and the owner very helpfully posted it back to us. Thank you for a great stay.

The property is spacious and beautiful. Guests can wander around and relax in many of the spaces. There are beautiful horses, alpacas and dogs, all of whom are loved and well cared for.
The rooms are clean and welcoming. Guests can use the refrigerator, kitchen utensils, and coffee and tea makers in the large dining area. The host, Pascal, is lovely and provides a warm welcome, and is nearly always available to converse, advise and suggest. We would happily return to La Petit Fourchon!

Fabulous authentic countryside property with extremely gracious host. Step into the French countryside experience, but only minutes by car from the center of Arles (an easy drive). Spacious comfortable rooms and common area. Large pool out near the pasture with views of the owner’s (Pasquel) white horses. Fabulous breakfast - breads, cheeses, fruits, yogurts, various coffees, juices etc. we ate on the terrace. Everyone in our group of 8 adults (couples) loved it. Would highly recommend! Merci beaucoup Pasquel!

Bathroom the largest I’ve seen in Europe, with separate wc, always a plus. Pascale is a most gracious host, breakfast simple but delicious; fantastic orange marmalade and strawberry jam.

The first thing you see when you turn into the gates of Mas Petit Fourchon are the massive centuries-old trees, filled with birds. The estate is old too, elegant and comfortable. Nature is all around you, but so are books, comfortable furniture and nice people. Each day begins with a fabulous breakfast of fresh bread, cheeses, yogurt, fruit and very good coffee. Pascale, the owner, has limitless energy and animals of all kinds, including big, sweet dogs and white horses. The Mas is close to Arles and La Camargue making it convenient for getting out and doing things but we found ourselves just wanting to just stay ‘home’ instead. Of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in France, this one was the hardest to leave.

Worth going out of the way for!

Más Petit Fourchon was difficult for us to find due to error in Google maps. We finally arrived, just at dark, and after becoming thoroughly familiar with the nearby hospital parking layout. We gave up on Google’s turn by turn directions, and used Google maps without the directions. We were greeted by an upbeat and friendly Pascole, the owner, at a closed gate at end of a dirt road. Mas Petit Fourchon is definitely not within easy walking distance to restaurants or Arles. That said, the property and 300 year old building are beautiful. Be sure to spend time exploring the grounds.
Our tile floored room was very large but with lousy lighting and, oddly, a toilet room across the entry hall from bathroom and sinks/shower. No actual shower, instead there was a bathtub, installed backwards, with the drain on opposite end as fill spout and handheld sprayer with too short a hose to stand while showering if over 5’10”.The shower/tub needs a longer hose for the handheld shower, and at least one grab bar, especially for those of us who prefer showering, and whose balance isn’t what it used to be.
The pillows were square and hard, but surprisingly comfortable, as was the bed. I personally appreciated the simple blanket and sheet for warmth as opposed to the thick comforters that are often too hot and yet so popular in hotels these days.
A simple and satisfying breakfast was included with our room. It included a variety of breads, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, jams, tea and coffee. No meat.

We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. It was close enough to explore Arles but also had the feel of a quiet sanctuary. The best part, however, is Pascale, the sweet owner. She is so friendly and personable and even went the extra mile to have something returned to us that we left in the room. She is wonderful!

We were very comfortable is this beautiful country house just outside Arles. The rooms were large, with plenty of clothes storage space, nice bathroom fittings (although a hook for the shower head is needed on the tiled wall) and views across the garden. Breakfast was delicious and Pascale bought fresh bread and croissants every morning. There were tea/coffee facilities and a fridge for guest use. We could use the enormous lounge room for a glass of wine in the evening.

The Mas Petit Fourchon was a lovely place to stay. Outside the city of Arles, it was a peaceful location. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. The proprietress was friendly, helpful and welcoming. A plus was that the windows had screens. Much needed in this area with many mosquitos. We will definitely return.

Van Gogh's Provence

The main purpose of our five nights at Mas Petit Fourchon was to visit as many of VVG sites as possible. We accomplished our goal and more. Patrice's old farmhouse was our headquarters and also served as a quiet, peaceful haven at the end of each busy day.
Arles is, of course, filled with VVG locations as well as some fine museums. Combined with trips to St. Remy, Abbaye de Montmajour, Saintes Maries de la Mer and Beaucaire we came away with a deeper feeling for VVG's last few years and his tremendous production of major masterpieces. Patrice is a great source of local information and provided an excellent breakfast to go along with our beautiful spacious room.

Very quiet, other than the periodic bangs during the night of the adjacent rice farmer scaring off the birds from his fields. A few minor nits: a very firm (hard) bed, somewhat inconvenient handheld shower, no washcloths.

We passed five wonderful days at Mas Petit Fourchon. An absoutely fanstastic Chambre d'Hotes. Perfectly situated on the outskirts of Arles, 10 minutes from the center. Rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated, breakfast was copious and delicious. The grounds were magnificent, 40 hectares of lawn, fields, and shaded spots for a nice nap. But the best part was the warm welcome from the proprietor. We could not have felt more at home. I cannot recommend Mas Petit Fourchon more highly. You will love it.

We had a wonderful time at Le Mas Petit Fourchon. Pascale was a superb host - welcoming, kind and helpful with amazing and (accurate) restaurant recommendations. The property is beautiful with a lovely pool and tranquil, bucolic grounds . The only small suggestion is that the breakfast quality could be improved (more fresh fruit, better quality cheeses and perhaps offer some cold cuts or eggs); but the other positives were so many that this was easily forgotten. Highly recommended for a stay in a lovely region of France- Arles and Le Camargue. Thank you Pascale !

Mas petit Fourchon is a lovely old stone farm chateau- in a bucolic setting but only 10 minutes from downtown Arles. Wonderful to return to after a day of sightseeing. The owner is charming and helpful. Rooms are large and bathrooms are spacious.

The best place to stay in Provence

We have stayed in many places and this find is at the top of the list. Wonderful rooms, absolutely beautiful location, terrific breakfast, and, most importantly, the an amazing hostess. Oasis in Europe!

What an awesome place to stay! One of our best stays in traveling in Europe for over 40 years! Pay a Lille extra and stay in room 1! Has a awesome bathtub, views and huge rooms!! Breakfast was awesome! Location is perfect as it is a short drive with easy parking in Arles! Visit the museum and the Roman amphitheater and colosseum as you feel you are in Rome!! Pascal is an amazing owner/host!
Only 4 rooms are rented in a secluded 300 year old farm with an awesome heated outdoor pool!

Very quiet and peaceful but only a short drive into Arles. Beautiful old converted mas with a lovely swimming pool.
Our host Pascale was perfect, speaks 5 languages well, and provided good tips and information about the area. The breakfasts were great with different local breads a speciality. A refrigerater and basic cooking facilities were provided in the mas for guests if you wished to eat in and the mosquitoes were not a problem if you take simple precautions... and we were there in late August/early Sept.

A beautiful, hotel in a quiet converted farmhouse. Run by a gracious woman who will go out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Our enormous bedroom was so comfortable and cool. The view from our window was green and picture perfect. It's a great place, away from the noise of the city to have a family holiday. The pool was a great advantage too!

Pascale, our host, is utterly charming and very helpful.
Breakfast on the terrasse, overlooking the lovely grounds, every morning was delicious.
Our room was large, cool and very comfortable and having the use of the large, charming, air-conditioned salon, along with the kitchen for preparing a bite of lunch or supper was really appreciated. We were able to save some money by not eating out twice a day.
The pool is beautiful too and the location, set in the farmland outskirts, made this beautifully restored farmhouse the perfect place to come home to, after exploring Arles, Aix en Provence, The Camargue and The Med (only 25 mins away).
Can't recommend this place highly enough.

A highlight of our trip to France, our stay in Arles was a memorable experience. Like from another time, the house was fascinating with its original beams, thick walls and historic details. We enjoyed modern conveniences with comfortable beds, free wifi and an updated bathroom. The grounds were magical, and we adored the dogs. The pool was clean and refreshing as well. Our host, Pascale, recommended the perfect restaurants, made reservations at a beach club on the Mediterranean, and supplied proper beach towels for our day trip. She also tried to assist with our no-show shuttle issue back in Paris – as je parles un peu Francaise! This Cali family hopes to some day return to Mas Petit Fourchon. It's so worth a repeat!

It was magic to drive out of the relatively gritty Arles, and, in a space of half mile, arrive in completely bucolic and serene farmland right out of Van Gogh. Open fields spreading to distant hedgerows, sheep and horses grazing and even a couple of alpacas. The rooms were magnificent. Pascale, the Owner/innkeeper was beyond gracious. I wish it was not a cliche, but she treated us like family - and I usually hate it when someone tries to do that. She made our stay absolutely memorable.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Just outside of Arles (a short car ride to the center or a 40 min walk), Mas Petit Fourchon is a lovely grand renovated house, surrounded by greenery, animals and nature. It is as quiet as it can get and here one can find the space to relax. We got the biggest room and it was very comfortable, with a huge private bathroom. We had access to a very nice pool, which was essential to cool down after a walk into town or a drive in the south discovering something. There was a delightfully slow atmosphere and it really was a pleasure to be there (5 nights in total). The breakfast was something I was looking forward to every morning, as it was absolutely delicious. And Pascal, the owner, couldn't have been more friendly, and helpfull and overall a better host than what she was. Perfect base to explore the south of France!
