The beds were not very comfortable. Even though we had booked for 3 people and the room slept 4 we only had 2 glasses and 2 coffee cups. There also needs to be a pest protection performed as there were a couple of small cockroaches. The people in the next room were noisy and the language was disgusting as there was an argument that escalated to the point where the owner had to intervene.

I was staying in a family room with 2 teenagers and was woken at 2am with a dreadful fight going on outside the language that came out of the females mouth was disgusting they seemed to be in a permanent room. We were near the highway which was a concern about the noise but it was quiet to the fight I heard. All you ask when you are staying overnight is quite so you can sleep this didn’t happen. When i spoke to the manager about the incident the next morning they appeared not to care they already had my payment for the room.

-There was no micro wave, they brought one when we requested.
-Buttons on the tv remote were too weak, i struggled to change channels, put the volume up and down, which hurt my fingers
-There was no one at the reception on arrival, no one answered the phone, i waited for almost 5 minutes, and it was too hot outside
-The receptionist should be someone who can speak/understand english

No one would answer the after hours bell (8pm). On the 3rd attempt an elderly lady came out who didn’t know what to do. Finally got to my room and there was no heat nor promised wifi service. On checkout I called out to see if anyone was there and someone just yelled out to leave the key.

The property is very poorly maintained. The Room's front door lock was broken and so even with a key took minutes to open. Bathroom wall cladding was loose and falling away in corners. Main room walls were unclean, left splattered with 'something'. Air conditioner did not work. Shower hot water was the 'saving grace' - it was good.

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Room was clean but bathroom showing mould in shower recess and leaky handbasin tap. Good meal facilities in the room although utensils and crockery limited to tea and coffee making. Whilst non-smoking rooms, plenty of cigarette smoke drifted in to room from outside smokers which was unpleasant.

Although this motel is in a great location being just off the motorway, definitely wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a dump! The whole place needs some TLC. The motel looks old and worn and the surrounds are overgrown. The place is in need of repair and a good lick of paint. One wouldn’t dare swim in the pool as it was green with algae. The green areas around the pool were, also, overgrown and the back of the pool chair was laden with mould. The room seemed clean enough, but was outdated! Room items need to be renovated, especially the very much aged bathroom whose window opens onto a small dark corridor. The room window overlooked and opened onto a messy and overgrown backyard. Would never stay here again, unless there’s a great change to bring it to a more than 1-2 star rating, when visiting the area next time.

Paid just under $170 for 3 adults for one night.
Room in very poor condition. Eg broken soap holders held with masking tape.

Place was a little run down. Looked in a poor state of repairs and some of the internal furniture was falling apart (for example bathroom cabinets).We stayed in an an upgraded room so not sure what thd standard room was like. However the room was clean and had a/c and fox tv so we had a comfortable night. The service was not v good and receptionist / owner kept muttering things under his breath!

Shabby look belies comfort and service

The only complaint about the motel is the presentation of the whole package. The service was great, the towels soft and fluffy, the room was largely renovated (bathroom was still a bit old), there was air con, there was a good TV. Nothing to complain about there. The look of the entire motel is a bit offputting though. The garden overgrown, old bus in carpark, building materials beside windows. All of this contributed to a look of dereliction. The cleanliness of the outside is usually a reflection of the inside - luckily this was not the case. The shabby look of the motel does not invite us to return. If the owners put some work into the presentation, then the motel would be a gem.

Didn't feel safe

We stayed an hour until I could find other accom. First they couldnt find our booking, then we waited while they made the beds, the room had an interconnecting door to the next room that the lock didn't work so a chair was put in front of it. I opened the curtains and saw a metal fence that had the whole panel trampled down and there was a spare block with car bodies right next to the fence with what I suspect was people staying in the cars at night. Seriously happy to pay another $160 to get another hotel.... we have travelled all around the world so have stayed in a variety of accom but this was by far the worst mistake ever!

When we arrived we had been upgraded to a delux room which was clean and comfortable. It was right down the back of the Motel so although it is on a busy road the room we were in was really quiet. The bed was a little firm but still quite comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient

Had difficulty finding motel but when found had a quiet room with no Wi Fi access. The room looked out over green fields with trees in the distance which was lovely. The weather was cold but the airconditioner heating was excellent.

The room and bed was comfortable.The veiw out the window was a pile of junk coveted with an old tarp next to an old shipping container .the bathroom was very tired tiles missing blackened silocone in the small old style shower cabinet.The smoke detector was missing and the room had cockroaces. Not great value for money.

We had stayed at this motel many years ago and had a pleasant experience, however, the same can't be said for this trip. On our first night, we all went to bed after a 10 hour drive, only to be bitten on legs and bodies by, what we can only presume were bed bugs!! The airconditooner was filthy and didn't work and neither did the television, while parts of the shower were held together with duct tape. After the first night, we really didn't want to stay for a second night, but had already fully paid, so felt we had no choice. When we were leaving, we checked the room like we always do, and under the beds there were old socks and the floor was covered in dirt and fluff, so obviously cleaning isn't a priority. Won't be staying again.

We were accommodated in two different units during our two week stay. The first unit had not seen any renovations for some time. The second unit had been renovated but there was damage in the bathroom that really needed to be fixed and not just patched with brochures and grey tape! We could have left and found something else but where we tried, (and there were 4 of us), motels were booked out due to the school holidays.

Our room #26 was newly renovated and was excellent.
Motel is close to Ipswich Highway and there was a little background highway noise but not an issue

the motel is a little difficult to get to but that is not the fault of the motel, Being on the highway for convenience there was no road noise, we had a room at the back with a very pleasant view from the window it was exceptionally clean the shower was good and strong and hot hot water I would not hesitate to recommend this motel.
