Vd Valk in Vught is a very nice hotel with luxurious ambiance. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the beds are super comfortable and the food is good. The only thing that could be improved is the service at the reception and restaurant, it could be a bit better staffed when it is busy. The wait times get quite long. The staff is very friendly and professional though, absolutely perfect.

Thank you to the lovely lady with blonde hair (apologies for not catching your name) who was so friendly and welcomed us. She was always helpful when we had any questions and welcomed our 2 lovely little dogs. Room was nice with door access to car park and helpful when we needed to go out with our dogs. The cleaning staff were also so friendly and professional. Breakfast had a really good variety including gliten free options. Lunch was also delicous and I would recommend the sharing is caring dinner option which had a great yummy selection to share. The staff were so nice and really welcomed our doggies also. We will be back again in a few week's.

Can't make the minimum requirements happen

My expectations aren't that high. They managed to disappoint on every requirement that I do have. Got the farthest room, super slow internet (because of that?), and no hot water to take a decent shower. Then no phone connection to complain at the reception. Never again at this hotel.

Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room though a bit of trial and error filling the water tank.

Bathrooms are a good size and the room we had had a separate bath and shower.

We didn't have breakfast or dinner so cannot comment on that.

If you don’t have a car is far from everything, you have to go with a specific goal. I wanted to go to Amsterdam, they’ve said I would get a special rate with the taci company they work with, I’ve ended up paying €250! Instead of the real rate 150€. I’m still waiting on their feedback on how to reimburse me. I felt robbed. Don’t expect to get an Über on that region, they don’t go there!

Very nice hotel with business-style meetup options

I stayed here along the way from a business trip. Did not visit the local area, but it's next to the highway. They hotel itself is super nice and also clearly aimed as a business meetup venue, with lots of separate business rooms and 'hide aways' where meetings can be conducted.
The rooms in the hotel are very nice, comfortable and more than enough room. Hotel wifi is free and speedy enough.
The breakfast is very good with a chef who can cook omelet etc to your liking.

The Hotel with no name

Name of Hotel not obvious from road/pavement. Staff attitude poor; \"Yes...What do you want\" instead of \"Hello...how can I help you\" indicative of the poor PR. We spent little or no time in Hotel due to being \"turned-off\" by the poor PR ethos that permeated throughout the Hotel. Everything was always too much trouble... eg. a phone call for a taxi...replacement of food stuff that had run out at breakfast... Not a \"Bates Motel\" experience but not one we would wish to repeat.

A Dutch treat

Your first question didn't include the purpose of our trip - we came to see the Hieronymus Bosch exhibition and ended in this hotel because everything closer to the town was either fully booked or far too expensive. But the walk to town in the morning was really pleasant, 's-Hertogenbosch is a nice place and I'd recommend this hotel warmly. Porridge as an option at breakfast would have notched my rating to the top - although the breakfast was otherwise excellent.

Pros: convenient, functional, good rate, clean, free parking, on-site restaurant, friendly staff, put a fridge in my room for free when asked.
Cons: restaurant was upscale and has upscale prices, no cheaper more basic options, no coffeemaker in room, iron and ironing board on request only and poor quality, have to drive to find eating options.

My room was recently renovated and it was perfect. Spacious, quite, comfortable and very well decorated. Hotel itself it nice and has top class gym attached which unfortunately does not open until 8am ( although they let me in earlier which was sound ). Only thing is my room was a bit of hike from hotel as it was in an adjacent block but as very manageable.

Good if you need to stay in Vught

Am a regular visitor to Vught and so have stayed here twice before. Not my favourite hotel in the area but very good if you want to be in Vught. But beware this is already on the outskirts of Vught and so too far to walk to town centre. There is only one (but very good) restaurant in walking distance. You really need a car. Arrived on a Saturday to be told that checkin before 3pm was not possible but they did look around to find a room already made up. Worst feature of the hotel is the dismal attitude of the waiting staff that serve the tables in the lobby and the outside terrace. They simply ignore you. Service in Piano Bar is great. Rooms are a bit basic. They have no fridges although they have a low cupboard specially designed to have a fridge in it! No tea/coffee making facilities much loved by British visitors! No BBC channels on the TV.

At first, I thought it was. Great place until the front desk said my purchase didn't come with breakfast, she said 'it never does', until I pulled out my phone and showed her... Rooms were nice but the towels must have been used over a decade. Me and my family decided not to take showers and waited until our next destination.. Beware!

Excellent breakfast hall and restaurant; good to bring guests for business dinners. Lounge area is fantastic for meetings or get-togethers with colleagues. Great hotel for the business traveller

Set by one of the main highways on the edge of Eindhoven City centre. Large hotel undergoing major building work. I've stayed here three times in the last year and each time there has been no noise from the work. Free parking but can be a bit of a hike to reception in bad weather.

Classy bar and a large restaurant. Massive choice for breakfast so make sure you don't miss it.

Though the room was nice, the room service was poor. I have had much better room service in other vd Valk hotels (my fav is the one in akersloot and houtem). On top of small portions the meat was dry and they charged 10 euro room service fee .... Their argument was that it takes a lot of effort .... Finally the reason for an overall very poor score is the fact that the maid just walked I to my room without knocking ....

What we wanted but you need a car

We specifically wanted to stay in Vught and so chose this hotel over those in Den Bosch. Being at the northern edge of Vught it is still convenient for Den Bosch. That said being in between the two it lacks the convenience of a town centre hotel. You really need a car if you stay here.

Hotel lobby, lounge and bar area is very charming with lots of wood panels and open fire. Outside there is a terrace bar. There is a restaurant but we did not use it. Our rate was not inclusive of breakfast so can't comment on that.

It is a motel style access to rooms with separate blocks of rooms directly accessible from car park. Rooms have a balcony. Some have commented on security and that it is the possible for an outsider to access the balconies without a key but this did not seem possible. Only issue is that anyone with legitimate access to the balcony can walk up and down the whole balcony. You can still get to rooms internally if it is raining.

There is free Internet access in rooms or public areas but only for 60 minutes per device although this can be used as 4 sessions of 15 minutes. After that you have to pay.

Staff generally polite and helpful apart from one bar waitress who was abrupt and looked like she hated her job. She never smiled.

Rooms acceptable but nothing great. Old small TV. No tea/coffee making facilities. But has a fridge (not a mini bar). The double bed was two beds pushed together but the hotel said this was in all rooms - unless you opted for a suite. Not the hotel's fault but the previous resident had ignored no smoking signs and so room had lingering smell of smoke. But cleared after a while or we got used to it.

So overall would stay again but bring a travel kettle. Good VFM. You will pay 2 Euro per person per night on top of the publicised rate

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 25 years. The location is good, because bus service is good to the nearest 2 towns. taxis are available , but at a wait. Price is high, but so are most hotels in europe. Rooms are quite a bit larger at the motel vught, than most rooms across europe. Breakfast buffet is very good , dinning room is adequate. housekeeping people are excellent and a big thanks to breakfast buffet for her excellent attention to details. quite a pleasant stay. a recommedation to anyone

Receptioniste was super. Restaurant goed. De bar zou tot 24:00 open zijn maar kwamen om 22:45 binnen en kregen te horen dat er maar een drankje kon worden besteld omdat de bar om 23:00 dicht ging. Zaten op dat moment 5 mensen en later kwamen er nog 3 maar voor, met ons erbij, tien mensen kon de bar blijkbaar niet open blijven.

De ontbijlzaal is zeer onder de maat. Teveel mensen worden er ingepropt en het is ook lawaaierig daardoor. Dat moet het Management weten maar er wordt niet aan een verbetering gewerkt en dat is kwalijk. Bijkomstigheid is dat de stoelen in toch al deze krappe ruimte veel te grof, groot zijn wat het langs elkaar schuiven van mensen nog eens bemoeilijkt. Voor ons is de slechte ervaring met het ontbijt de reden waarom wij hier niet meer zullen komen. Kamer, badkamer en bed waren overigens prima.

De suites zijn gewoon super op deze locatie. Het restaurant heeft goed eten en snelle bediening. Inchecken ging deze keer niet helemaal vlekkeloos(kamer niet klaar) en dit was een beetje te merken qua hoe schoon de kamer was...toch netjes opgelost door het personeel.

Prima accommodatie op loopafstand (15 min) van Den Bosch. Ontbijt voor maar liefst € 20 pp is verhoudingsgewijs wel heel simpel. Toilet kamer 207 hangt (vermoedelijk na ophoging badkamervloer) zeker voor iemand van 2 meter lengte op 'kabouterhoogte'.

Het is een vrij oud hotel en dat is ook wel een beetje te zien. Het personeel is erg aardig en het ontbijt was lekker en uitgebreid. De kamer had wat schoner gemogen. De locatie is prima, dichtbij Vught en het centrum van Den Bosch is makkelijk te bereiken. Goede parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel.
