The room was clean, personal note on the bed was a nice touch, polite suggestion - don't always assume a woman is Mrs, as I'm a Ms, as I kept my maiden name when I married. Parking was convenient & spacious compared with some we have stayed in.

Lovely hotel, perfect location, parking is a bonus

Lovely hotel in a great location for Den Bosch. Friendly staff. Parking was real bonus, albeit expensive as it's a premium in Deb Bosch. Only problem we had was the bedside light switches which supposedly control the main lights and bedside lights didn't work. We mentioned this and were told when we got back later that they had been checked and were OK, which they clearly weren't. There is an overcomplicated digital control panel system as well as standard switches, all of which seems to cause issues. Apart from that it's a lovely hotel and we would stay again.

Top marks from me! I checked out feeling happy.

The female staff at the front of house were lovely! Always wanting to help you with anything food, drink, info. With me being on my own they made sure I didn't feel lonely.
Having a computer to use helped me a lot.
Breakfast experience was good! Not overcrowded like other hotels.
Bathroom very modern with touch sensor toilet and good shower spray. Loved the big TV screen!

The bed was awful. It was a thin (3 inch mattress) on the top of the box spring that kept sliding around. If you did not sit or lie on the mattress in just the right position, you were in danger of ending up on the floor.

Amazing gem of a hotel!

This is a hidden treasure and not a typical chain hotel. It was the most charming on our trip and right in the heart of the city next to the cathedral yet it was quiet. The owner told me it's been in her family for generations and it shows. The hotel is full of antiques and charm from the ceiling beams in the reception room to the crystal chandelier and things around. Our room was very large for 3 people, beds were fresh, clean and a candy was left on our pillow. Bathroom was updated and nice shower. DEFINITELY get the breakfast - it is served on fine china with brass silverware and crystal glasses. It's all made fresh and timely - they kept bringing our fresh platters of scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, sausages etc. Don't miss the fresh orange juice machine!! Pastries were incredible - I wanted to try everything. This was my favorite hotel on our 6 day trip - the love and attention to detail really made us feel special. Highly, highly recommend.

The property was in a perfect location to explore the city on foot. The family room was spacious with a large bathroom. The breackfast buffet was amazing with fresh squeezed orange juice. The owners were friendly and helpful, to the point of coming in at 6 am to tell us goodbye bwfore we left. The property also has a nice bar and terrace area.

I often stay at this hotel when working in the Netherlands. It’s a brilliant hotel with fantastic and friendly staff who are very attentive. Superb location with plenty of amenities within walking distance and also a short walk to the train station. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

A very pleasant stay.

Hotel is a 12 minute walk from station across the Market Square. Reception and breakfast staff very helpful and friendly. The impressive cathedral is the view from some of the rooms (it's bells do start at 7 in the morning, but the windows do a good job keeping the noise down. Good range of hot and cold food for breakfast. Breads, meats, yogurt, cheeses, boiled and scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans (and sausage on day two).

Great location! A little hard to find when the town square is closed off, but once you get in it’s well worth it. The family that runs the hotel is very nice and hospitable. The breakfast was a great continental spread on the second floor with partial view of the quiet street below!

The best thing about the hotel is the location, being a short walk from the main market square.
The rooms don't have AC, and when I checked into mine, the vent was blowing hot air back into the room.

I have stayed here before and did swear I would never stay here again after they cancelled my booking the day before I was due to stay there. I was so angry, but I'm back. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, but small and freezing. No matter what I did I couldn't get the a/c to give out the heat. Bar is sensible prices for a hotel. Though my main gripe is that I still have got an invoice for my expenses. On the day, they mess up my bill and then struggled to get right. They then said they would email it to me later in the day. They didn't. So I phoned, they asked me to email them and they would email it back. They didn't.... Just emailed them again!

Quick and efficient check in. Given room near the lift because of the amount of luggage we have. Room well presented with a very comfortable bed (having just flown from Australia this was needed and appreciated). Strangely there was only one teabag of each type and one biscuit and one chocolate in a double room. Surely 2 would have been reasonable. No problem with getting extra supplies. Room seemed quite hot with no way to control the temperature. Received an excellent referral for technical advice when I had a computer problem.

Great hotel around the corner from the Cathedral

Awesome location just around the corner from the Dom. Directions to the hotel were a little confusing. To access the hotel parking (included in the room rate) you have to go into a \"restricted area\" near the Cathedral -- there are 3 2' high obstructions in the road that lower into the ground allowing you to pass into the street in front of the hotel. You must request access by calling on the intercom next to the gate and say that you are staying at the hotel and then will open the gate for you. When you need to leave the area there is a detector which lowers the gates without having to call anyone. The hotel itself is in a great location, wonderful staff, clean, nice bar area, good breakfast and nice rooms/bathrooms. Recommend.

Not the room I reserved through Expedia

I booked a room with two beds, but was given a very small room with one bed on a different part of the hotel. I noticed the difference because the friends I travelled with were all assigned much bigger rooms with standard facilities. I can only suspect that, despite the fact that I actually paid more (since I booked a little bit later) and booked the same 'comfort' room, they gave me a smaller room because I was travelling alone. The hotel did not give me what I booked but gave me what they thought I need. I am quite troubled by this kind of discrimination. I travel quite often alone on business in the US and have never experienced this treatment. I encourage the hotel management to pay attention to their practice and hope other single travelers to be aware of this.

Went primarily to see the Heironymous Bosch exhibition so the trip was a succes from that point of view. We were lucky enough to be there, in Den Bosch, for the King's Day celebrations so that was a bonus. The people we met were all extremely friendly and helpful.

Nice, well situated hotel only couple hundred yards from cathedral, museum and main square. Easy walk from station. Our room was spacious and well appointed, with a well equipped bathroom with a large corner bath. Room and indeed hotel was quiet. Didn't test breakfast since there is a very cheap bakery also serving coffee in next street. Wifi worked well. Staff helpful and pleasant.
All in all good value for the amount paid.

Great location; excellent staff

We came to den Bosch to see the Bosch exhibit. The hotel was a block from the cathedral, 1+ to the museum, and 1/2 to a great restaurant street. The staff, especially Dennis, helped us with food, transportation and Internet advice. He made our visit so much more pleasant.
We're glad we made the trip to Bosch's hometown.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Den Bosch

A lovely hotel with deceptively small street profile in the historic centre of Den Bosch, right next to St. John's cathedral and within walking distance of the Noordbrabants museum (currently hosting the 500th anniversary exhibition of Hieronymus Bosch's extraordinary paintings and drawings).

There's a private ground floor car park next door, though you'll need to get instructions for its access.
It requires two lifts to reach the 4th floor with quite a trudge between them.
And although the restaurant is open only for breakfast, there are dozens of excellent café bar / restaurants in the adjacent cobbled streets.

Staff at reception on arrival were friendly when checking in in the evening.
However, when checking out in the morning twice I went to the reception and there was no one at reception he was in the breakfast area. Third time lucky the man was working was at reception but he was very slow, not friendly and seemed very put out when I asked him to order me a taxi.

Alles was goed verzorgt in het hotel, ontbijt was heerlijk, kamer was fijn. Helaas ging op de dag van aankomst een van de warmwaterketels kapot dus we hadden een frisse douche. We zagen dat er stilletjes maar wel aan gewerkt werd tijdens ons inchecken en dat ze er nog steeds mee bezig waren toen wij van ons dineetje met vrienden in de stad laat terug kwamen. Helaas heeft de harde inzet niet gebaat en was er de volgende ochtend nog steeds geen warm water.
Wij weten zeker dat zo'n probleem bijna nooit voor komt dus wij raden dit hotel in het midden van het centrum ten zeerste aan.

De ligging van het hotel is perfect. Midden in het centrum.
Personeel is vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.
Kamer was niet groot, maar wel heel luxe.
Badkamer was ook top.
Klein minpuntje vonden wij de prijs voor het ontbijt. Als je maar 2 broodjes eet, vind ik €22,50 pp per dag wel wat veel.

Receptie vertelt zonder enige schaamte dat dit vaker voorkomt omdat de boiler het niet aan kan.

Twee dagen koud water uit de douche. Uiteraard direct kenbaar gemaakt en een vriendelijk briefje aangetroffen op kamer bij terugkomst. Volgende morgen gewoon weer koud water. Bij teruglezen eerdere reviews blijkt dit al weken te spelen. Ook koud op gangen. Wanneer je dit in weken niet krijgt opgelost is dat gewoon heel erg slecht of gewoon een heel bewuste bezuiniging..... Beide geen goede reclame en voor ons echt een smet op een toch niet bepaald goedkoop verblijf.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel mit eigener Parkgarage direkt im fußläufigen Bereich und der Kathedrale. Für die Zufahrt muss man an den Pollern klingeln, damit diese heruntergefahren werden. Zahlreiche Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Zimmereinrichtung interessant - wir haben 9 Deko-Kissen auf dem Bett gezählt. Klimaanlage über Fernbedienung steuerbar (haben wir erst nicht erkannt).
