We booked a standard room for our children. One bed was located under a sloping roof and our son (20 yrs) was not able to lie on his side on one side of the bed. Effectively he could only use half of the bed. When expressed our concerns to the young lady at the reception, we were met with a cold reply and the situation was downplayed. We had expected an hotel with better lodgings. Breakfast, however, was excellent and the main house was a charming place.

Very nice facilities. Some minors issues dampened the experience:

Air conditioning in our room was causing a lot of clicking noises.

Wifi reception in the room was weak to non existent

Breakfast was mediocre and just OK. No custom eggs and bacon was very soggy and undone - even after asking for a refill.

This is not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The room was more like a prison cell. No telephone in room, no tea/coffee etc. The rooms are in a separate building to the main reception with telephones in the corridor that do not work! If you wish to contact reception you can either EMAIL them from your room or WALK. The shower area is approx. 2ft by 2ft and when you draw the shower curtain, you are standing next to the toilet which, is also getting showered. Breakfast choices are poor. Would not recommend this hotel at all. The staff are also very grumpy.

A total rip off and not practical hotel

I paid 140 euros for a room which look like a cheap cabin in a ferry. Small room and minuscule bathroom which could fit in a camper van. I was furious, never happen to me and I stayed in more than 40 hotel nights this year. To be fair after complaining on the tablet located in the room, I was upgraded but if you do not complain, you have a disgraceful room for the price, if you complain, you are upgraded. Does not seem right to me!!
Also you are not in the main building but annexes which is not easy to find and not close either so if it is raining heavily like it did, this is not a good start.

Nice hotel in a green landscape

Nice hotel with a lot of green around it, on walking distance from Vught Train station. I booked a single bedroom, which was in Boomgaard. There was free coffee/tea and cookies at all times. The breakfast buffet was great and in the historic part of the hotel. The area is quit and nice for biking which I did on a rental from the hotel. The only minus may be that on weekdays there may be business meetings booked in the meeting rooms, so more people in the building.

The property setting is unparalleled for those looking for a quiet retreat. There are no shops/cafes near so arrive prepared. It took me a couple days to really \"feel\" the super special atmosphere but it is definitrely worth investing your time. I c ant wait to go back again.

Room was in a separate annex a bit of a walk to the main hotel. Had it been raining it wouldn’t have been good. Interesting decor with carpet on the walls. The restaurant food was excellent but very expensive. Cheapest course and a soft drink was £30 plus. Would have been good to know this in advance. The TV didn’t work either.

Beautiful historic buildings set in a picturesque location.
The only negative for us was no aircon and had to leave windows open to get air.
Breakfast was fabulous and set in a lovely dining room.
No English signage so it’s a bit tricky finding reception and parking.

Not what we expected!

The hotel was located in a lovely forest. When we arrived, there was no one at reception. We waited approx. 10 minutes before she came to check us in. We were given a room in a separate building at the back of the property which was down a unpaved road. The room was basic. It was not air conditioned so we had a very uncomfortable night because the room was so hot. We saw the photos for this hotel and was expecting a room in the villa but instead we got a room in a building which was similar to a dormitory.

Off-site sleeping in tiny quarters

This is a conference hotel, and non-conference guests get shunted off to an out-building that is far from the main hotel. And far from the attention and service of the hotel staff. The room was small, cute, and completely unseated. The toilet is literally IN the shower with you (the whole bathroom is only a little bigger than an airplane lavatory). And the walls are paper thin. Considering how much they charged, this place is NOT recommended.

The best in Vught

I was only in Vught for a day and a night and honestly I wish it was longer. It's a n idyllic location that is perfect for someone trying to get away. The hotel is charming and old school. The rooms are well appointed. The staff friendly. The food is exceptional. It's a great experience.

A hidden gem

Very pleasant hotel on estate with nice gardens, conference facilities. Excellent rooms in main lodge and outbuildings both. Modern but traditional in layout. Good food, amiable staff. Easy to reach via car and short walk to train station for routings to Den Bosch and all major cities.

De accommodatie is erg mooi en ook gezellig opgezet. Je heb lage geouwen wat dan op de buitenkant op huisje lijken maar dat zijn ook gewoon kamers. En dan een wat higer gebouw. Het ligt tussen allemaal bomen. Over het hele park brand gezellige verluchting.
S avonds hebben ze wel alleen maar een verassings menu maar die was heerlijk. Ook kreeg je echt de tijd. En het personeel was super vriendelijk en netjes. Er was een bruiloft en dat was ook heel mooi aangekleed buiten.
Dit is zeker een aan rader !

We kregen een kamer in een bijgebouw. Het was een mooie kamer met een heeelijk bed maar toen we s,nachts de kamer binnen kwamen stonk het op de kamer naar vocht en riool. Aangezien het al laat was hebben we ervoor gekozen om een raampje open te zetten en te gaan slapen maar de geur was niet bevorderlijk voor de nachtrust. Bij het uitchecken hebben we dit gemeld en er werd adequaat op gereageerd en dat is dan wel fijn want ze nemen een klacht serieus en doen er ook iets mee.

Het hotel ligt in een rustige omgeving, in een park achtige setting. Het hoofdgebouw met restaurant ziet er authentiek uit en heeft een uitstraling met veel grandeur. De bijgebouwen alwaar de hotelkamers zijn gevestigd heb ik voornamelijk van buiten gezien, en zien er goed uit. Mijn kamer zat in een nieuw gebouwd deel en was modern, Scandinavische stijl ingericht met een goed bed, bovenop een vide van de kamer. Het was schoon, netjes verzorgd, maar ik vond het niet bijzonder, de prijs kwaliteit verhouding was redelijk, maar aan de dure kant. Helaas was er geen koelkastje.
Het ontbijt was erg goed, en doordat het mooi weer was kon je buiten op het terras ontbijten, wat een extra dimensie meegaf om de dag mee te beginnen. Kortom een prima, rustig gelegen hotel, maar niet echt heel bijzonder.

'a Avonds kon ik niet in het restaurant eten om dat het vol was, tot 2 keer toe! Dus werd het 2x een restaurant in Vught!
Daarnaast nog eens problemen om deze recentie gepubliceerd te krijgen.
Het positieve? Heel aardig personeel en makkelijk om de auto te parkeren en een zeer goed ontbijt.
Maar al met al: volgende keer neem ik een ander hotel.

Perfect verblijf gehad - mooie kamer (junior suite) die vrij nieuw aanvoelde en met zeer goed bed, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, goed ontbijt, goede fietsen, gratis parkeren. Het hotel ligt vlakbij de snelweg, maar geen last van gehad, ligt in mooie omgeving.

Super schön, sehr zu empfehlen!!

Ich verstehe manche Bewertungen hier überhaupt nicht!! Es ist soo ein tolles Hotel, sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet , eine wunderschöne Anlage für einen tollen Spaziergang ob abends oder tagsüber. Dazu alles voll unkompliziert.
Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich komme wieder!

De kamer en de badkamer waren schoon, modern ingericht en goed voorzien.
Het ontbijt was goed, vooral alle soorten brood waren vers en smakelijk (erg goede croissants!)
wat wij niet hadden verwacht was dat wij sliepen in een bijgebouw. ik vind wel dat gasten daarop moeten worden geattendeerd bij het boeken

prachtige omgeving, vlakbij de stad Den Bosch, 10 minuutjes met de auto. Kamers zijn prima, met ruim tweepersoonsbed, keurige badkamer. Grootste minpunt is dat de hotelkamers in aparte modern ingerichte dependances zijn en niets van de sfeer hebben van het landhuis, dat is toch een tegenvaller en had beter vermeld moeten worden op de website.
