The check in was horrible I put a friend down as a secondary and they wouldn’t let me check in cuz they said she was the primary person which was not true I had to get a hold of my agent and change the name so I can check in and they made me late for work which they didn’t care and the girl at the front desk was very rude

I booked 3 rooms through Expedia which in this case was somewhat a problem. Our flight from St. Louis was delayed 7 hour’s causing us to get a hotel in Denver and not using the rooms on our first night at the Gold Dust. So I forfeited the rent for those 3 rooms on the first night.

We were scouting a place to stay for an event for our army reunion next year. Erma, the planner was an excellent host so we may come back next year! She was great and went beyond her duties.

Check in was frustrating, sign on the desk said I’ll be right back. I guess it depends on your definition of “right back” 7 minutes was a long time to wait, while another staff member sat at a desk 30 feet away and expertly ignored me.
Room would have been nice except for the ants in the sink. Staff had stuffed a towel in the drain to slow them down. I ran hot water down the drains for five minutes took care of the problem.
Breakfast was over cooked and greasy not good. Have stayed here several times but the mediocre way they do things now will make me find new HQ for my semi annual visits

The experience was not so good. The breakfast was not what I had expected like Holiday Inn Express. The lobby staff was not friendly when I asked for checkout receipt. She told me that I had to discussed to Hotels.com which they had nothing to do with it even everything is okay on their ends.??? I am very confused on their partnership with you. I was not aware it was a CASINO hotel, thus what can I expected?! Haha. I hope that I were not be double charge by you and the hotel.

Rooms were nice, attentive staff. Good pool and hot tub area to hang out at. 3rd floor access is somewhat inconvenient as there only elevator is on the far end of the hotel from check in, pool access etc. Gym was lacking somewhat, but we still made do.

The room was clean and wonderful. The main breakfast choice, though hearty, is on the unhealthy side, though there is an option for oatmeal only. This is a problem since there is no protein with it; of course, you could order an egg à la carte. The restaurant is handy, but you have to work to find something that is actually good for you and tastes good, too.

The room were clean, but the beds are hard as a rock and like sleeping on a brick.
The Hotel Front desk agents were great and an easy check in.
The breakfast was terrible, and the staff in the cafe was rude and unpleasant. The food was inconsistent and cold.
We came over for the bowling tournament, and it was the first and last time staying there.
In the bowling alley the snack bar only had one person working and they would take a few orders and then close in down. While closed down we could not get a refill on a soda because they were closed. Then when the food was all served, they would reopen. When you have a tournament that take the whole bowling alley you need to staff accordingly.

I asked to be put at the front of the hotel because my husband has a drop foot they literally put us at the back of the hotel where we had to use the stairs to get to our room. We also had to drive our car to go to the restaurant for breakfast.

I would have given this property a 5 star review except the casino. It was right off the lobby and no separating door, so the cigarette smoke and smell permeated the entire hotel, including the restaurant and the rooms on the second floor where we were. I am not fond of casinos but if you have one at least separate it from the lobby and behind doors. The staff was very nice and the rooms comfortable and roomy.

We stayed in room 158 which was terrible as it was right next to the exit door which kept on being slammed by other people. I asked to be moved and they said "no". I didn't get a good night sleep due to the slamming on the door all night

Great price on the room and breakfast included. The room was on the third floor, where we requested. There was an order in the halls. The room was clean. This is a no frills hotel. Temperature control was a problem in the room. The bed was very firm. We had our grandsons visit and we enjoyed bowling. This was geared towards families. Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. We would stay here again.

Hotel itself was fine. There is an adjacent Casino and smoke permeates the entire hotel. All of the rooms are non smoking but the smoke smell is everywhere even in your room. We had a room about as far away from the open doors of the casino as possible but there was no escape from the smoke. The HVAC vents in the hallways do a great job of distributing the smoke. I will never again stay at a hotel with a casino.

If you are a non smoker don’t stay here! Smoke from casino is terrible though out the entire hotel. We even put a towel against the door because the smoke still came in our room. Breakfast with room is only served until 11 am which is fine but we checkin at 10:30 am and then were told we wouldn’t get in before 11 so no free breakfast. Went to talk to manager and got an okay for breakfast but decided to leave and not make a fuss. Room was comfortable and bathroom was clean.

The staff was awesome! I left my wallet at the front guest sofa because I wasn’t feeling good at that time fall asleep. The staff called and stated that kid got my wallet a turn in at front desk. Hurray to the parent you raised him well and thank you. Other than that, the room was clean and good amenities! We definitely stay here again.

The room was very nice and the staff was really friendly but there were little kids in the room above me, probably left unattended who stomped, ran back and forth, sounded like moving furniture for 4 hours constantly while I was trying to get to sleep. I woke up to the same thing, so loud. I couldn't wait to get out of there, went to another motel in Carson.

This is our hotel of choice when we go to Mt Rose and Lake Tahoe. It is very reasonably priced. Rooms are clean, they have upgraded hotel recently. Upgraded lobby etc makes it look upscale. Breakfast options are limited but quantity and quality both are superb. At times lunch and dinner menu also has surprised us in a good way. Though sometimes depending on who is the chef overall taste of food may vary. One thing they can improve though on not letting the smoke from the casino area permeate entire lobby and hotel passageways. I felt it this time since last time I was there Casino was probably not openly connected to main hotel.
