We are staying at Super 8 and found it to be clean, a friendly staff and the cost to be reasonable.

When we arrived we were charge an additional $100 security fee. I didn't think it was a big deal until we were checking out and I requested an invoice or receipt for our stay. I was informed that because we had booked through a 3rd party (Hotels.com) that they could not provide one. I was told I would have to get it from the booking agent. When I asked about returning our $100 security deposit I was told it would take about 5 business days before it would be returned to our credit card balance. These are unnecessary inconveniences, and not practices I appreciate so, I probably won't use Super 8 or Hotels.com again.

This is a lower price option and it had all I needed for a short stay. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. There were some pastries and cereal available for breakfast but not much else. The room was clean with limited amenities in the bathroom and the room itself has a noticeable wear and tear. But, it did the trick for a great price and terrific value.

One perk that keeps me from going somewhere else is the fact that they open breakfast at 5 in the morning for people who work and want to grab a muffin or cup of coffee on their way out before the regular breakfast starts at 6am. (Saves a trip to gas station for coffee every morning)

Staff is great, doing the best with what they have to work with. Rooms aren't terrible, just in need of a total remodel. Smell of weed in the hallways was less than pleasant. Nothing bad to say about the staff though.

The room we stayed in had a window that was cracked from top to bottom. I reported immediately and the girl at the front desk said they were aware 😳 The microwave needs replacing and the bathroom shower head needs replacing!! The breakfast was pretty good and the saving grace of our stay...

I wanted an inexpensive hotel in Carson City and this fits the bill. It is clean and I appreciate the daily linen service. I also appreciate the bars of soap as opposed to the bottles of bath wash lotion so many other hotels offer. The staff did well to keep the breakfast area stocked. The hotel is a close to the city center as you would want. It is on the main street and thus easily within reach of anything significant including restaurants.
There was no elevator. The bathroom was small with no counter space. The bed itself was hard and quite high making it awkward for me. The breakfast was very sparse. Basically, all that was offered was cereal, bread, yogurt, and coffee. The room for breakfast was small and got crowded some mornings.
